Staff needs power, even to a higher extend than Condition damage. The latter being nonviable in PvE and iWarlock having most of his damage scaling with power. Indungeons 3 warlocks with maxed power + autoattack/Storm support > any crappy confusion/conditon damage there can be (on mesmer ofc).

There is no skill in switching your build at will during a match. Take the utilities you need or die.

+1 for each of the ideas except maybe the “Suicide” skill for Downed state, keeping one bleeding adds an other layer of play.

+1 for OP, I don’t want casuals to ruin my hardcore experience. If they want to get farmed on the first levels, they can join others casual and not hide their gear to join a pro team.

And there is no sarcasm in my post, I want to have a competent and geared to teeth group, not randoms that I will learn too late are full magic find exotics/rare.

It happend with GW1 (UW speed clears) – you had to have UW items in order to join an UW group. But even then people could buy these items from other players and get into skilled teams. I hope you can only get infused gear from the dungeon and can’t trade it in any way.

Before it’s too late, explore them. They will soon fade out because of the "upcomming high level’ content.

Once you hit 80, don’t forget that there is so much to explore…

At level 30, I suggest you to trait for Sharpen Images first (along with II). It will boost your damage incredibly. Then keep stacking Illusion til you get enough Condition Damage but don’t forget to unlock X in Duelling (after you’ve spend at least 5 points into Illusions for Celerity).

Depends on the clone, they use your 1 skill, some are AoE some are not.

Melee is where you spend most of your encounters in when it comes to open world PvE.

Condition-Damage-Build

Condition damage (Bleed stack) is viable for leveling. After 80 it becomes pure garbage because you will rarely farm mobs one by one and bleeds are capped at 25 anyways.
However, if you focus on conditions as a whole, it might be “decent” (Power centric with Staff play as stated perivously) – in dungeons only.

When it comes to dungeons, I’ll take a necro or engineer anytime instead of a mesmer to fullfill the DoT role. CD is not valuable.

If you want to be worthy of the space you take in a dungeon, roll booner or straight DPS.

Edit: It’s a PvE pov, don’t reply with PvP cases.

I’m a mesmer, I see them crying and hating being useless in tagging mobs. That’s why I beg you to record some footage of a Plinx chain/Defense routine that we all know so well. Or link a youtube video that shows the tagging in action.

Might be for every other mesmer. Mesmers don’t have high poping numbers so people kitten avoid them in dungeons.

Crafting was profitable at the start when the marging betwen mat prices and gear pries were astronomic (People made 300+ gold this way).

I’d suggest you to reroll but people will reply with “learn to play noob mesmer is fine”. You’ll have alot of frustration once you’ll want to farm events.

Trident clones use the old 1 skill and inflict confusion (the new auto-attack doesn’t). It’s a great bug and I love it, but has to be reported! :>
