I’m Miku, mesmer since beta week end 2. Working towards a legendary (Don’t know which one yet). I’m looking for a guild on Desolation that is active in SCing, various Dungeon farming, FotM. I’m not a big fan of gw2lfg.

No, the guy burns the supply enough by himself, running back and forth.

I use this build with Rabid gear (and carrion/rabid amulets). With right now Undead runes (Condi/Toughness), might pick Nightmare over Undead.
I have Sigil of Fire on Sword and Corruption on focus, as I get most kills with them (chasing down players with Into the Void and Leap). Staff has an Energy on swap sigil (more clones).

As for traits, I pick:

Far-Reaching Manipulations
Deceptive Evasion

Master of Manipulation
Mirror of Anguish

Confusing Cry
Master of Misdirection
Illusionary Persona

As I have both manipulation traits, I always slot blink and decoy. Then I switch Mirror Images for Arcana Thievery (if I’m going against condi/boon heavy class: necro, ranger and engineer).

Eating the Veggi Pizza (Condi duration +40%, condi dmg) and the master tuning crystal (%of tough and vit as condition damage).

And to answer your question, you get more kills because people melt on confusion, they’re all bad. Seen it myself, confusion is OP in WvWvW and can tick for 3k if well stacked.

It’s easy to achieve something as a mesmer, it’s hard to excell at it.

Catqeer, this is not what the thread is about. It’s about the way these vanity items are introduced – with RNG, which is NEVER fun to deal with (But hey, i’ll say it again: “It is not fun!”).

My thoughts :
If you check the reddit thread, these new exotic dyes will be aviable through RNG from the old uninteresting “Themed Dye pack” (that was a total failure til now). However, you’ll only have a small chance at getting them.

Arenanet is killing their game, slowly, and it hurts me deeply. WHY is there a NEED for RNG? Why can’t we have a random F&F dye, instead of a kittening fine/masterwork dyes that cost 1-20 silvers OR MAYBE a F&F dye?

Sad thing, these dyes look amazing and I felt in love with them. I wish I could unsee it and never be aware of this, would safe me some tears of despair.

What do you mean by a team? A group or a zerg?

Can someone whisper me the common good guilds runing around on Desolation? I try my luck in WvWvW but I’m not sure where to start.

Sorry but does that make him something? I guess no. His behaviour looks nothing but stupid.

Maybe finishers like the Rank finishers, but for professions, summons a ghastly class representative that bows then executes a symbolic effect (mesmer could shatter itself, warrior could shout, thief could dissapear in smoke).

That they were aware of it and look for a fix, after some glances at eachother with the “What the kitten is this” look; a glace they did quiet a few times…

Braxxus did well. Adding that we now know what each class does in the game, Anet quiet well described each of them to us.

Boring yes, empty, no. You’re expecting too much from the game, it won’t attract loads of people, but some sure do play tPvP and sPvP.

+ Those who just stand in the mists doing nothing; those in WvWvW (Some spvpers enjoy WvWvW too!) etc..

True PvP consists of tournaments (competitive PvP), if you want to avoid duels, go in these. Hotjoin is subpar PvP and as you said is mostly used for duels, testing and farming rather than competitive PvP.

There are duels only in hotjoin, which is not true pvp.

My 3 questions:

Why are we left behind cosmetic-wise compared to PvE? Is that a particle balance issue? (rephrase: are you kittening kidding me?)
Why can’t we obtain weapons such as Vision Of the Mists, Whisperblade, Anomaly, Rogdor’s Eye and more…
Can you say something more than “Good suggestion we’re look into it”?

I heard NA scene is suffering alot. Here in Eu things start to get as bad, at a slower speed however. The perception is different but more and more are trying new things (puggs mainly) if you’re speaking of that perception of the gameplay.

I think the point is that they can RTL to the orb at the start of a match, then commune it so fast that the rest does not have the time to interupt. And everybody melts under team focus but ele’s are tanky as well. They can use mist form without dropping the orb.

That yes, but you sure can’t survive smart focus as an ele unless you happen to be lucky. The key is to pull him off ledges.

However, yes RTL and Mist form should drop the orb just like Portal does. What the hell was Anet hinking?

Not as good as the Glamour/Condition mesmer. I can go make guides about classes I don’t play (7 of them) with the help of a builder and a lot of theorycrafting. Then I’d pretend it to be good.

You really still click to find your target? I actually think Asurans are funny to kill in spvp (I mean defeat, ehherm..). Specially when you are smashing them^^ They may be a little annoying to deal with but I hardly find an issue with targeting them with backstabs or flanking strikes.

Although this post does remind me of good old Halo 3 days, Elites in Team BRs.. man that was annoying.

When requierements for Paids are r40+/150qp+, the only possible way for new players to pug is to farm their Tiger and lie about their qp total.

Understandable, forgivable.

I’m at a point when it’s quiet hard to find a team that will carry you, so I carry the teams I pug with.

Seeing how well each of the team members performed is something i look into, to eliminate “weights” and to get better myself. How well did I do compared to my teammates? Compared to the enemy mesmer? Compared to all the 9 players I played with/against? Why and how?

It’s the way to go, hear our tears.
