The dungeons are fine. We just need new ones.
However many of the current dungeons could be improved drastically if they followed the same design as AC story mode. Open map and choice of which objective to clear in whatever order. You could also combine paths by making dungeons like this.

Yeah pretty much. You would get rewards based on the bosses and objectives you clear. If you have limited time you can just clear the most rewarding objectives and leave. Or you can split and do them all. Its basically like UW, FoW. Gives a lot more freedom to the players.

Because it dies too easily against zergs in WWW due to aoe stacking.

They complained because their free out of jail card on a 9 1/2 second cooldown got fixed to actually do what it was supposed to do, and that this particular thing got fixed before 30 class breaking bugs.
And no one has been complaining about this in PvE, because it is an irrelevant skill in PvE (except the immob which can be handy on some bosses like Mossy and Tar, but there’s still no problem with using it on them).
No idea why he brings this up as the main issue with mesmers in dungeons and fractals. :<

Move DE and increase weapon clone generation is a good alternative.
Some merges are great, but we need remplacement for the lost traits. Would make mesmer viable and add flavor to builds, instead of what we have with 80% DE, 50% IP.
Add reflects to it and just make warriors the only class in this game.

When the timer for ‘Time waits for no one’ ends the achievement disapears. Will try to be quicker than the timer next time, was off by 10 seconds.
In fairness you wont be as effective as maxamising your burst, but it works, and is probably even superior for 1v1 situations.
A tradeoff for spvp would be to take torment on shatter, it is a big trade off but will help you immensly against the copious engineers in yoloq.
Also Id swap out travelers for strength and have battle on your staff. Your gs could either air/fire combo or further more might stacking.
In saying that, I maintain that for your team, traditional burst is better,

Staff only condition? Think you have never used iWarlock on a open world boss.
No, I melee it with Sword Sword when everyone else camps their GS auto. Staff has for base conditions, support and control.
Should have been more precise to avoid smart comments picking one word out of a pharagraph (@staff is power too, @shatters are power only).
Staff is not only utility as you guys imply. It has great pression on your target and that’s why I’ve been playing Celestial lately. But maybe I’m playing GS/S staff wrong and I shouldn’t use it offensively but rather camp GS AA at 200 range.
So far Strenght/Battle/Zerk seems the other GS/S variant. What would be your opinion on runes like Mesmer/Ogre/Pirate? I played those too and I don’t really see anything that changes in my gameplay compared to Strength (Perma 15-20 might) or Traveler (25% speed).
Because Staff is almost exclusively condition, and Shatter line is condition.

There is build variety tho. 6 4 0 0 4 or 6 4 0 4 0 mes for instance.
PvE has just as much depth as PvP. The only diffrence is the human factor you don’t have in PvE (which makes things more messy and pointlessly flashy).
The class segregation is strong in this one.

Every class has a role and if you don’t like this one, then choose a different class.
99% of players don’t want be a utility bot so then reroll to another classes. And I never heard about people rerolled to be a mesmer.
About those top mesmers:
Sometimes I meet one of them, but it is SoloQ and there he …suks. His high skill mesmer can do nothing vs meta semi afking bunker builds. So even at sPvP mesmer viable only at high tier tpvp. And again, it’s great not because of super concept of this class but because 1 utility (portal) and 1 trait (reaping boons).
I call bullkitten.

The Zerker or GTFO meta is proof enough of this.
The Zerker meta is more about support not being gear dependant, rather than just dealing damage. Else necro’s would be just as wanted in PvE as Guardians and Elementalists are.
Support is dominant in every from of the game, even more so than damage.
How so? Almost all of the desirable support (vulnerability, might, fury, reflects, damage multipliers like banners and frost spirit, etc.) in PvE is about increasing group DPS, right? Most dungeon groups (other than maybe high level fractals) don’t really care about CC, healing, or defensive support, do they? They just want each player to bring the minimum need to stay alive while producing as much DPS as possible.
Btw, this is not so much a criticism as an observation. The game appears to have been designed for this.
Block, Aegis, Retaliation, Steath, Reflection, Absorbtion, Daze, Stun, Blind, Pull, Wall.
You can’t tank in this game.
