I’d like to tell you about Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP]. We’re a PvX International adult social casual guild on Tarnished Coast. We have 260-270 members right now, around 40 are EU and then some NA play in the EU time.
Our co leader is in Ireland and we have two other EU officers as well as NA (where the founder leader is as well), OCX, and Middle Eastern leadership. We schedule our bigger party events between EU and NA time to catch our two biggest time zones without much time sacrifice on either’s end as well as have a couple events in the EU time zone (not mandatory but highly encouraged).
We have a one month “trial” where you’re paired up with an older member who plays the same times you do to help integrate you into the guild as we get to know each other better.

I’ve been trying to sell my personal guild for a while. People on reddit told me it’s causes for being banned putting out places like that….not quite sure why though…Anyways, if you get a buyer let me know! May ask them if they know anyone else looking to buy xp

What I came up with for the gold switching is to invite them, when they’ve been in the guild long enough, they can put the gold in the guild bank which you take out before you leave.

And quite honestly the upsale I would have put for time convenience. They don’t need to wait for it all to finish being rushed or built. I have mine at 200-250g, but I don’t have everything made, mostly Art of War and up to Deep Cave and other little things like Politics.

That would ruin a lot of the communities already established in the past 2-3 years.
Guilds may not be able to get everyone together ( some have irl afk people who would come back to what the heck is going on ), guilds who play together in WvW would have to choose to play together still or go separate and many will be split from other guilds they play with, and a lot more problems within communities today.
We know Anet is doing something to help WvW, let that come first…they may have a way to help balance that we just don’t know about, but asking them to remove everyone off their server, you’re asking them to remove EVERYONE in the entire game, not just WvWers. It’s unneeded in so many ways.
Yes, I think a way to rebalance is needed, but there’s a reason there are tiers. Do recruitment for your server if you want more. It’s hard yes, but it’s doable; I helped with TC’s and now we’re in T1 from various situations, but we still had to reach out to people to come here.
When Anet made lesser populated tiers less gems or free transfer they got a few guilds to move that way (who moved right back after their adventure was over). I don’t believe that’s the answer either; that’s raising X servers above Y servers and unfair to the Y servers who may just be trying to get their friends in to play with unrelated to WvW.

I really like this idea. It would also mean that a group would have to look around on the maps for the higher structures (though most can guess Garri and two north towers are a good possibility on the borderlands). On the flip side, a team may upgrade say their garri and two north towers and just stay there the entire week with their heavy defense group while the rest flip things to keep the higher tick all week.
I don’t see the flip side as a bad thing, just makes that objective more of a target. Two +1’s for this.

If you’re still looking for a guild, I’d like to tell you about the one I’m in. Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] is a PvX international guild on Tarnished Coast that is active 24/7. We do like our members to be there too and require members to be on TC or planning/saving to move over.
EU is our second biggest presence, NA is our first. Though we’re a PvX guild, I say our members are more PvE, especially during the EU time zone. Guild chat is the preferred way of communication for most though we do encourage use of the voice comms set up (especially for guild missions). We have an EU timed guild mission as well as a PvE event that has an early time for the EU time zones. WvW and PvP are your late evenings and randomly throughout the day in pickup groups.
We are 18+ and request members just be respectful towards each other. There are some member children in the guild, but they play when their parents are on and some of them have chats off—nothing to worry about.
We are not 100% rep, but a majority rep. Personal guild banks are perfectly fine and friend guilds as well, just as long as it doesn’t take up the majority of your gaming time.

Our WvW side of the guild has been growing in numbers and in skill It’s been fun trying to come up with different ways to show different skills and tactics and bring in “guest speakers/commanders”.

I’d like to tell you a little about ESP that may fit what you’re looking for. We are on an NA server, Tarnished Coast, BUT we’re a PvX international guild that has activity 24/7. EU is our second biggest time zone presence after NA and we have guild events and people online during the EU time. Our co leader lives in Ireland herself, but she’s been away at school for the semester. We have two other European officers as well as well as many helpful guildies during your play time. Our bigger guild events are scheduled so that EU and NA can both make them on Saturdays.
We have WvW in your late evenings, PvE in your evening, and PvP in your late evening but is done throughout the day.
Your first month in the guild you’re paired with an older member to help integrate you into the guild as well as give you an “insta friend” among our members.
31 in two days…..I wish I could do that :| I don’t even get that with the level 20 experience scroll ha!

From the responses above, I’m not sure if you’ve found a home yet, but Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] could be an option for you as well. The difference you may not like is we are on an NA server, Tarnished Coast. However, ESP is a PvX international guild and have people online and active 24/7. We have 260 members, but split that between the time zones, we have roughly 50-60 people on at the same time during the peak hours of NA and a different group each day. We do have EU presence as well.

Honestly, Tier 2 and Tier 1 are those tiers for a reason I am on a T1 server, Tarnished Coast, and the WvW is always hopping here.

Not sure if you’ve found a guild yet, but Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] is on Tarnished Coast and a ‘friendly semi-casual guild’. We are an international guild, PvX, and the one day you don’t have listed, Thursday, is our 11:30pm eastern guild missions. The other times are Saturday at 2:30pm and Saturday at 8pm eastern if you may be able to make those in your consideration/looking.

Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] is an international PvX guild on Tarnished Coast. Currently NA is our largest time zone population-Pacific coast-, and our WvW events start at 6pm pacific on Mondays and Fridays; looking to bring back Thursdays as well. You’d just have to check the roster for anyone roaming during other times. ESP is involved in TC WvW running with other guilds during their raids as milita or helping to set up events and server coordination.
We do use the server mumble that we use for WvW and have a guild ventrilo for special events (trying to work on the leader to keep that for a rainy day and just go all mumble >.>).

Not sure why in WvW section . . .

Unless you want guild halls limited by WvW points and have queues out your ends with people grinding for that, not paying attention to commanders and kill WvW all together. Be a way in WvW to get it for WvW guilds, sure, but my thought is it’s going to be linked to that G button, influence/whatever they do with that/another upgrade like Missions is/was.

PvE Megaserver….meet WvW Megaserver in alliances.
My worst case scenario guess.
New maps should be fun though You CAN WvW in eotm if you try hard enough. Being an oversized, really megaserver, map of its own it makes it hard to. Megablobs. For some reason though, my computer can handle the oversized blobs there better than in WvW maps… (I have a moody computer that is top notch minus the OS yet hates my guts, don’t mind that comment unless you know my pain).

The fact is…they paid their money for a second account. The community just needs to make each other aware of the account that is a potential spy or saboteur and find ways to work around it.
For the longest time Tarnished Coast has had a “friend” that will build siege, regular ballistas, and siege cap places like garrison or Hills or pop tag and lead unknowing people around doing nothing while we lose things. How to counter? TC got their act together and siege capped correctly before this person could. There is a thread and talk on the TC forums about this person spreading awareness.
It sucks yeah, but the person spent their money on that account. Anet isn’t going to ban them for “talking to their friends on other servers”. You just need community awareness. Run tagless or have a decoy tag. You CAN ban them from your own server’s voice comms and forums. Everyone e lse will know what’s going on; not the spies. Things like that.. get creative Maybe you have a server troll who can harass, I mean, befriend them each time logging on.

That list is very true and we WvWers are happy about it and hopefully things to come….. but do you care to make a list of PvE updates that have happened? I promise you the list is easily 10 times as long. It’s also taken from release to now for that list. That list length is what PvE updates are each time it seems, haha. Don’t forgot the PvP world either….I believe they’ve had less love and attention than WvW has. In fact now it’s easier to get rank 80. A slap to the face for PvPers in my opinion.

Yes PvE is what their majority player base is and should definitely be their focus and more updated part. I understand that as a PvX guild officer; you adjust to your members and what they want/like, but you also try harder to get people into the lesser areas, WvW and PvP. There is a great game imbalance. The game cannot stand on PvE alone.

I think a better question is, what updates does the WvW community want regularly? It can’t be updated as often as PvE, but there are mechanics that can be inputted periodically or small test sessions like what just happened thrown in once every 2 months or something. There is a lot of people reaching out wanting more WvW love from Anet, but they also need to remember WvW is not PvE and can’t be treated as such with having updates put out so frequently. Once every 4-6 months doesn’t cut it though either.

Our first scrimmage went very well!! We were able to use a PvP arena to play against a guild on NSP; a spot in Edge of the Mist was available too with being different colors. Good turn out from both guilds and able to go 5 rounds then give feedback to each other on what to work on for next time and what can help both in the WvW field.
GvG/scrim schedule is alternating Wednesdays and Sundays, both at 6pm USA Pacific. 1/21, 1/25, 2/4, 2/8, etc. . .

A new event started today! PvEvenings runs every other Tuesday (when Anet does not put out updates) at 1pm, 6pm, and 9pm USA Pacific. It’s the lesser known side of PvE (mini dungeons, jumping puzzles, orr temples, lesser ran dungeon paths, mapping, etc) that the focus of the event is on rotating through RNG each event day.
The times are designed to be flexible for international time zones and different schedules.

ESP is helping to host Megaserver 4 for Pink Day in LA! I’ve been with ESP for 3 years now this coming December, and this will be my 3rd Pink Day. I know ESP has done Pink Day for at least one year before I joined. Truly a community oriented guild.
Members (our guild’s community) and overall guild come first before the leadership of the guild, so hopefully you’ll never be afraid or shy to talk to us! About anything We put time in for you.

We’ve recently finished the casters for the “class nights”. We invite a guest speaker that plays a profession how we want out WvWers to learn, and that speaker goes over the basics of said class (like necro or mesmer for example), any tricks they know, what they use for gear and why, then answering any questions those who attend may have. They are recorded as well if you cannot make it or for some reason you cannot get on mumble that night.
We’ve done Mesmer, Necro, Ele, Engi, and Warrior thus far. Guardian is next, then Thief and Ranger.
Many enjoyed these class nights, and we will be doing them again once we finish each one. It may be a “part 2” or going over it again depending on how many new to WvW we get between now and then or not.

Extremely patient for new WvWers and will explain and answer literally anything (WvW or not ; ). We even had an entire guild guest for us one night that we ran with and they helped explain WvW as we were playing instead of straight up “101 vocab” lessons.

Oh, maybe some background too? It was fine last night. I turned off my computer and it was like that this morning. I’ve completely shut down and turned on my computer as well as restart, and running the computer in “safe mode” to restart it yet again. No change.

I’ve been playing with Guild Wars 2 windowed, so I can see other programs (like mumble or skype or google or something), while I play since launch. Today, GW2 decided to go into full screen. When I hit escape and the window button, it completely minimizes GW2 and won’t come up until I right click, Maximize, and it’s full screen again.

The last time I posted this it was sent to the Archive with the rest of the Suggestion section of the forums….so, I’m reposting hoping it will spark more interest and maybe be put into the game at some point.

“As someone in leadership of a ~300 member guild, trying to send mail in mass bulk is such a pain with 2 being the limit. I totally understand having the limit for gold sellers! I really do….but they just moved to using whispers so that is a pretty invalid reason anymore.
However, is there not a way to add in a “guild mail”? It could be a permission in the “rank” settings to be allowed to send mass mailing to only those in your guild. Another, if the mail is sent to those in the guild, it allows no excessive mailing until those outside of the guild are sent mail.
The guild I’m in has many parties and we use mail in giving roles for some party games and sending out inactivity warnings to members. By only being able to send 2 mails at a time, when the parties involve a game where roles are sent, it takes 30 minutes to set up.
On Tarnished Coast specifically, I know there are several guilds who have games and guild events set up such as this with using mail to send roles or instructions. This would be great for the Role Play community as well to send announcements or instructions for their story. Yes, the message of the day can help, but most guilds (that I know) use the message of the day for what is happening..that day gasp and then guild information such as the mumble or ventrilo or teamspeak information.
Sending out inactivity mail (I’m the one to does this usually) sets aside 1-2 hours for the 1 warning mail (being turned to the “danger” rank) and the 2nd warning mail (you’re being kicked) for each month.
Even upping the number to 5 mails before excessive hits would be a great change. I’m more in favor of “guild mail” though.”

What I was going to say to bump this was a plea to have guild mail again or be able to “cc” or send the same thing to more than one person. Obviously the five item boxes at the bottom would need grayed out for that option, but it would be a lot easier say if a member as a problem and can send a mail to several people in leadership saying what happened than telling one person and hoping the telephone game doesn’t happen.

Does this work even after the 15th patch??

Just so it’s not Karuna talking to himself…. Hi, I’m Missy who is active in WvW in ESP. Everything said here (thanks Dalloway ; ) is still true! A little more random specifics we do in WvW….

With the April 15th patch we’re still working on putting together easy base builds that aspiring WvW’ers can use to build their own off of if they do not know where to start.
There are a lot more roamers during the day than what we used to have (which is awesome!) and working to putting together WvW events/raids during the day for other time zones instead of just NA.

We do have 2 solid commanders, 2 learning commanders, 2 EotM commanders, and several who are interested to help ESP’s WvW action (and whom I plan on talking to about looking to command >.>).

We’re working on having set people and donations to make pots and feasts and such of food for resets to constantly have food available for those who do not have their own. We also put out hero banners.

We are working on “class nights” which is focused all on one class with tips and tricks about how that class is used or can be used in WvW. For example, I did a “Mesmer Tips and Tricks” a couple weeks ago where we took time to measure how far portals can go and how to know when that measurement is up. We talked about weapons, stats, positioning, and a little about veils.

We’re a patient people, so don’t be shy to ask for help or scared about joining in on WvW action.

The best time to try to get in would be SEA time. early early NA, not on a weekend.

Borderland maps hardly ever have a queue (except on reset of course). If that’s your guild’s favorite map, I would look into TC for more fights, flipping, and fun atmosphere.

TW, if it was endless supply of mailing, the bots would be at it forever spamming. The limit of 2 is to limit how fast and how many. I’m not saying have an open ended mailing number because bots do need limited, but instead just raise the numbers for the many many many who are not bots.

So much yes. I posted yesterday offering a different mailing rank privilege. It would be sooo much help. Inactivity “last logged on” would be splendid!
