Fun part about that chart is that gtx 460 produces 2600+ points vs my gtx 260 ( which stand for 11xx).

So according to that I would be able to put this game to medium/high with gtx 460 from low and theoretically keep my fps.

Also about that 650 Ti. problem is that for 100$ I can get a gtx 460.
According to most of my sotres which add 23% value to US prices ( due to tax ) a 650TI costs around 179$. and is only 60$ cheaper then 660/560ti.
If i had that 170++ $ i’d rather save up and get 660/560ti or get 7850for 9$ more then 650ti. Seriously i sometimes hate living in country when you earn 400$ a month and can’t do kitten with it >.>
problem is that I don’t have and daubt ill get them in close future so gtx 460 ( and possibly gtx 470 which im biding on ( hope price won’t get over 100$ ) would be a dream for me now :P

I’d like to say that my overall fps in gw2 isn’t bad.
WvW is playable at 20-22 fps in massive battles ( sometimes spiking to 18) tho it’s normal and i don’t play WvW a lot.
I prefer pve & spvp. in both im getting steady 60 fps.
But.
Thanks to my old gtx 260 216 core edition Im playing mostly on low settings with:
Medium for animation
shader max
native sampling and medium textures
+ filtering this fxaa set on.

don’t get me wrong but game looks kinda bad.

I was wondering about newer GPU as i can’t afford a 560ti or 660.
Both in Poland ( add tax to us prices ) goes from 250-350$ per card which is a lot for me.

So I took in consideration a bit older GPU’s.

like :
gtx 460 1gb edition super oc
gtx 465 1gb
gtx 470 ( kinda hard to find low priced but duable )
HD5850 Twin Frozr II 1GB
HD 6850 1gb vertex3d / gigabyte

But. After reading a lot of reviews etc. most ppl claim that a GTX 460 ( as most of these cards which are close or a lil better then 460 ) are really small/not noticable upgrade from gtx 260 ( 216 cores ) and seriously I don’t know what to think.

While looking for benchmarks a gtx 460 gets almost 3x score of 260.
while on legit reviews overall fps gain from 260-460 is around 5-10%…

Im kinda confused now after reading some crap web sites.
My overall knowledge about Pc’s tell me that 460 woul be and upgrade from 260 and would allow me to get this game to medium/high from low…

Dont expect game to run even on lowest graphic settings with more then 10-15 fps in pve in locations when there are no other players even.

Also Minimum reqirements mean you can run the game but not play with full joy.

ok so:

Minimum to have constant 30 FPS ( and some low dips in HUGE wvw battles ) is:
A 4 core i5/i7 CPU version K.
4/8GB of DDR3
Good motherboard (prefered extreme/pro series so it can handle CPU oc)
GPU – here If u can find I would Strongly ADVICE getting a gtx 470 In SLI mode or single 480(or SLI) – why ? because thiers performance is still very good (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/ – go to high end video card chart.) and price is very low. You can get single 470/480 depending on store( u can also try e-bays etc. – mostly found in web stores – as they have some spares in stock that didn’t sell ) for 120-170$. thats price much lower then most of new GPUs.
According to score and benchmarks a gtx 480 is good as new 570. and 570 is close to 660 ( lower by 3-4% in performance).
So gtx 480 ( will have more bandwith – due to higher version then 660 ) while being only “slower” is games by 5-7%.
While for new 660 u need to dip 250-300$(price for EU countires with TAX added. – I don’t look for US prices as they don’t apply to me ;/) u can get 2x 480 for that price.

so yes with power supply, casing, cpu cooler and new parts that would be around 1000-1200$

It’s really sad that some people seriously come here with totaly no knowledge and try to give an advice.

I’d consider doing some kind of sticky with computer specs if poeple would like to build new rigs…

Don’t listen to SolarNova he lacks of knowleadge of PC hardaware, i don’t even understand why he tres to help ppl here since he don’t understand how a PC works. The CPU is fine for Gw2, just need a little overclock to 4.4ghz or so to get top of the line performance (faster than a FX3850 at stock speed and as fast as a i5 2500k stock). Ur real problem here is ur video card it is under system requirements, get a 100-160$ Videocard and problem solved a hd 7770 will get 60+FPS everywhere on high settings (as long CPU is not bottlenecking ofc), so u don’t really need more for this game.
Ur PSU is very limited considering those AMD CPUs consumes a lot of power specaially overclocking, u don’t really wanna go higher than a HD 7850 on ur videocard unless u wanna buy a more powerfull PSU.

SolarNova has better knowledge then u for sure.
First of all his PSU is fine. 600W is more then enoguh for most rigs that don’t involve a SLI/crossfire GPU and massively oc’d CPU with water cooling.
Telling someone to get crap HD7770 Is most dumb thing i’ve ever heard.
For same amount of cash u can get used or near to no use ( depends on user / e-bay offer etc. ) GTX 470/480 or HD 69XX video card which beats ur 7770 by a huge margin.

I’ve seen few gtx480 for 110-170$.

Also his CPU is crap. don’t get me wrong but it’s single core perfomance is lower then some old i3 processors and even some oc’d E series in past from Intel.

It’s not a fanboy talking. it’s common truth that only fx8350 is close to single core performance of well don’t get me wrong but far low gen of i5.
Yes it has 8 cores but gw2 doesn’t support all 8 cores.
I can bet that i3-3220 / 3240 will beat that 8350 in gw2 -> Gw2 only/mostly and other games that doesn’t untilize more then 2/4 cores ( i3 got hyper threading so windows counts it as 4 core CPU ).

if U want a rig for gw2 an i5-2500k at least is a must. no discussion here.

I play legion/phantasm build because im not happy about recent shattered strenght changes.

So Please nerf that and nerf thiefs. I just got hot join with 11 thiefs in it spamming hs allover the place.
And after that silly tpvp match with 3mes/2thief team against.
This is getting silly.

Don’t get me wrong I know that some ppl " starters" need some way to win against other more experienced ppl. but smth like HS spam stright from stealth + backstab when u can’t see someone is far to op.
I’d rather fight 3 warriros specced for kill shot then 1 hs spam thief >.>

Afterwards when they get owned by much lower rank it’s called " luck" each time.

I’ve been playin spvp for a while but wanted to try tournies for serious.

So i got few/many games played on those chars ( like 170 on mesmer / ~60 guardian / ~30 warrior)

In terms of skill i never seen such of a faceroll class like mesmer.
Seriously after going in spvp with guardian/warrior i felt like total Noob tryin to do anything because of how much skill it reuires to be good guardian/warrior as to compare to mesmer.

With all classes I tried same zerker build withsome cool perks imo.
As mesmer i ran with phantasm mix shatter build. Killed everyone only thiefs were hard to counter…

But trying the same zerker stat builds with warrior or guardian is just meh, or im for real noob with them.

Don’t get me wrong but weapons I only love/like to play with are GS/sword/axe/shied/scepter/staff.

So i tried gs/axe+shield warr. DMG was outstanding, 14-15 even once 19k 100b hits ( never used so called 100b combo it’s just lame ) up to 9k axe burst skill… but as soon as i got someone a bit better then me or 2v1 sit I fail completly.

Same with guardian.
Tried gs/staff build gs/scep+shiel/focus.
Nothing seems to work. I can hit someone few times but as soon as glass cannon or even bunker build guy focuses me im dead – especially any kitten elementalist/thief in 1-2 seconds. while other ppl seem to run full glass and handle up to 3 ppl at a time.
I’ve tried some thoughness builds wit knight jewelery but dmg is really pathetic…
Also i’ve seen lot of guardians runnin around almost with constant protection/reg and other buffs like that ( saw even 20-23 s prt/reg buffs on enemies in free tourneys, one like 20 sec ago on gs build and he just ripped me apart )

And i hate bunker build >.>

Any advice? Cause playin with mesmer seem very unrewarding because of low skill needed to actually kill someone

Do better ? I can’t imagine better class for inflicting bleed then ranger with SB and proper pet – lynx.

I can’t see other class having so much additional dodges in weapon skills.
I can’t see any other class beeing invenurable for 12s period of time using signet + protect me.
Show me any other class with so many interrupts possible.

In spvp/tpvp only classes I struggle against are thiefs with backstabb build when i don’t notice them fast enought and all kind of conditions based build as our condition removal is kinda poor

No it’s not viable.
Neither in dungeons, PvE or PvP.
It can’t do anything. If someone is finishing off a mate before you theres nothing you can do except that one longbow push back.
Other classes either cc the kitten out of that person or kill him in mere seconds.
Even the best builds available figured out by minmaxers are dogkitten.

They should just revamp the whole class. remove 90% of the skills (eg all useless ones) and make them good, also put them into the right subtree so you don’t have to spec over africa to get a small active buff other classes have built in in their lvl 5 passive.

Sorry to bring this up. But seriously is we got such a bad players like you tryin to play ranger with succes there ofc. will be massive failure and overall idea of bad class.

The only ability for interrupting and enemy tryin to stopm an ally you mentioned in longbow pushback is just lame.

You got gs & SB interrupts.
Pet interrupts I don’t remember how many but as far as i remember there are 7-8 pets with active knockdown/interrupt (f2) and many more with passive starting with hounds.

don’t get me wrong but as far as i recon apart from Ele & thiefs we got one of best possible interrupts in game.

Also class itself isn’t bad at all.
Im succesfully running with P/P/C build on SB/GS and i can take 2 ppl at a time on cap point with no problem.
You also mentioned we bring nothin to the team ?
Pick proper pet and you can get fear/reg on pet swap ( 2 houds ).
Slow on demand, invenurablibity.
You can trag your enemies along with you with sword skills as you get around 4-5 additional dodges with 1-3 sword skills.
With horn speed.
You can cover someone with gs block ability when you see thief going for unload.

You can use spirit traits for bonuses.
Traps for slowing down enemies.
And most important. Healing spring !!

I’ve played at least 10-20 matches with each class apart from engi and i must say that most usefull in team I always felt with guardian/ranger/mesmer.

As i recon in 20/20/30 build or smth like that – full on crit dmg bonus and most of +%dmg traits some ppl reported up to 1,4k crits per SB #1 arrow.
Add to that some condi dmg from bleed and you got pretty good dmg.

If u add quickness to this ppl die really fast.
get yourself gs for #3 / #4 skill to have more defense or sword/horn and ur good to go ;>

there are few:
COndi SB build.
Spirit builds ( i saw few good players using them in tpvp)
tanky builds with sword/dagger and gs off hand ( also saw few. )
and my favorite Power/prec/crit build with SB :>

Always have a longbow, especially if you’re in a group. 1500 range with trait is too good to pass up, provided you take the time to find a good vantage point. The vulnerability from Hunter’s Shot will increase the damage of your pet as well as everyone else who is hitting your target. Barrage actually does great damage if you channel it completely. Point Blank Shot will oftentimes save your life, since it’s both an interrupt and a push back. At high enough levels of power, precision, and critical damage, the overall dps competes very well with the shortbow all while tagging more mobs and collecting more loot.

I found myself that p/p/c ranger for me works only with SB + GS off hand.
The 300 range gain from LB isn’t that good, and remember that SB also does bleed – maybe with no condi build it won’t hurt that much, but it can do some fine dmg which compared with fire rate and crits ( around 1k crits with sb ) are lot better then LB.

I use GS off hand for #3 /#4/#5 skills mostly. good timed block/stun can save your kitten
and if it gets to hot, just use #3 :>

Higher model# does not always equate to better performance. Its a gotcha type thing that fools avg consumers.

Usually each new generation bumps up the performance a little shifting the range/class up a notch. So a GTX480 would be about the same as GTX570.

So a GTX 480 is about the same as a GTX 660, since its two generation behind and two class behind which makes sense. The advantage a 660 would have over the 480 then would be heat&power consumption are less.

Now passmark is a single benchmark and a synthetic one. It gives a good rough approximation of performance, but there will be variations. Depending on manufacturer of the GPU, it could be overclocked or offer more memory etc. Each card would then perform differently depending on what application or game it runs.

Tho theres something more to add. Apart from type of card exmaple :
Gtx 480/ gtx 660 – they will get around same performance tho! various graphic option that requires high bandwidth will bottleneck a bit a crad with slow data transfer.

best example is ati 7870 vs gtx 660ti where ati will handle gw2 better due to better bandwith as gw2 requires more bandwith that most of games

Serious response. Yes you can play guild wars 2 on high end settings. Just OC your cpu to at least 4 ghz for better fps.

It’s still not gaming CPU – due to low single core performance.

It’s ment to be compared to i5-3570k as AMD stated.
The difference is that i5 oc’d to 4/4.5 ghz gets 45 stable fps in massive WvW ( over 60++ ppl ). while yours dips to 17.

And price difference isn’t so big.

So yes overall if u want a CPU that will last for few years get i5 or wait till early summer for new AMD cpu structure.

Trust me cause I had myself a hard time with chosing i3-3220 vs amd fx 6300 ( which is 6 core brother of 8350 ) and im glad i took i3 :>

If i were You I wouldn’t buy a 600-700$ laptop for 1 reason.
Crap dedicated graphic card and massive freezes due to that when there are many spell effects going on.
Myself I got a i5 CPU with turbo to 3.0GHZ with 540m and 4gb ram. in pve steady 40 fps on low sett with spike to 25 where there are spell effects – crap graphic card.

The stationary PC on the other hand to run game smoothly ( with spike down to 20 FPS in massive WVW ) is :
i3-3220 ( got myself and it’s amazig for it’s price )

and a gtx 560 / 560ti / 660/ ati 7850/7870
this will allow you to be happy with the game on max settings in pve&events&spvp/tpvp. with some lag in WvW ( massive fights )

Solar every CPU except stong i5/i7 OC’d on stationary PC will struggle in WvW.

Its hilarious how the OP draws a picture of, in his mind, how easy it is to kill Mesmers and Thieves – but its really only his shortsightedness . What happens when a Mesmer stands still and auto attacks with his clones? You are taking a lot of damage, you cannot afford to simply ignore the clones – you need to dps them down. Put that requires you to waste useful abilities. Only then, you suddenly find the real Mesmer, you pop everything, and then what? He goes into stealth and you wasted your important cooldowns.

Thieves are able to go into and out of stealth way to conveniently. P/D and always maintain distance, only to reset the fight if you stun and begin bursting them.

Stealth in this game is broken. It allows far too much control of the fight. Mesmers and thieves can reset and escape better then any other class. Broken mechanic is broken.

Auto attack ….. Lots of Damage…. Lol

If a Mesmer is trying to blend in with his clones he is not going to be doing a lot of damage to you at all, because he is auto attacking…. Clones hit for 1-5 damage a piece, yep that’s it. People stress out when they get attacked by clones, here’s what you need to do, stop, stand back, take a breath and look for the real Mesmer, that’s it. While you are looking and you have 3 clones attacking you they are not doing kitten for damage so don’t stress. Clones get people all stress because they see 3 attacks coming in, once you realize the clones aren’t doing any damage to you you will be good. Every time I fight a Mesmer, I pause, stand back, and find the idiot dodging around among 3 manniquins that aren’t moving, (and hes dodging for no reason because I’m just chilling) casting abilities, usually has chaos armor on, call a target on him and go to work.

You all with this gup Up still don’t get it.

A proper mesmer build around pahntasms can take u down in no time while being far away.

Currently in spvp/tpvp my zerk crits up to 6k. Yes 6k. almost same dmg crit up from duelist.
Also after that we can shatter.
Mesmer is easy to kill and you just have to find right one ? This is biggest bullkitten i ever heard/read. why ?

It’s simple. Even If u find right mesmer we got 3 opstions for stealth, 1 blink, portal.
If mesmer uses staff he can use #2 skill smart enought to find himself on top fo a cliff while your down there just stupidly staring. Or use sword #2 skill on you inflicting nice dmg while taking noone at his side.
And best way is #5 skill of staff. just simply for laugh standing in chaos storm gaining aegis each second and watching your opponent cry cause he can’t do dmg ^.^
Truth is that there is no way a skilled mesmer will allow you to hit him not only because of huge amount of escape abilities but even most single skills.
We can put on you 2 phantasms at amazing speed create additional clone, and just 1 s after phantasm deal thier dmg, shatter → At this point ur kittening lucky to be alive.

Same goes to thief. On my mesmer I love dueling elementalists/thiefs and mesmers cause only those classes are threat to me ( well You could add here A guardian with pull &ww combo which can hurt pretty bad, but after that hes pretty much dead ).

Why thiefs are so good and op ? simpliest because of #2 skill on dagger – HS. it’s most stupid high hitting skill in game.

From over 300 games only time I usualy kitten my pants is when a thief finds out which one is real me cause that kitten will just spam invis & hs allowing him to get even 7-8k crits on light armor mesmer >.>

Every single other class just gets kited :>

first of all you put SLI config in PCI-E slots according to Your motherboard manual.
I can bet that your PCI-E slots look like this
1st – x16
2nd – x16
3rd – x8 or x4.
Im pretty sure you should stick you Both gtx 560 to 1st and 2nd pci-e slots. not 1st and 3rd

Also i hope your not trying to get TRI SLI mode with 2x 560 and gtx 580 ^^?

It’s not worth simply to get SLi for such a game like MMo.

You just simply won’t see difference and Youll notice fps drop.

Those games are not designed to be heavy on your GPU but CPU.

So instead of getting these dual 560ti’s while for each you paid nice sum of money and that 580 gtx – simply sell them. and get yourself either
gtx 670 or ati 7950

let me start counting for lowest c that would handle this game on around 45-60 fps in pve and spvp.

So
i3-3220 – 120$
CPU cooling – from 35-100++$
mobo – 50$
memory – ~70$
graphic card ~200$
powersupply ~150$
case ~25-50$
operating system ~100$
speakers + keyboard + mouse ~150-200$
Monitor ~150$

thats around 900-1000$. it’s not 100% sure value. i’ve made this according to prices in Poland for minimum rig.

and thats stuff that allows u to play at 1680×960 or so with graphic med/high ( not ultra ) with avg 45 FPs in pve & spvp ( not counting WvW and mass eveents where fps drop to 15 on that rig ).

So if u want to get “new” rig with almost all stuff new i’d advise you to get at least 1300-1500$ to get good stuff that will last at least for 2-4 years including:

Extreme series mobo
I5 processor ( 2500k/3570k )
an 7870 Ati Radeon / gtx 570/gtx 660 ti at least
good and fast ram.
Very good power supply for Overclock.
Good case to keep you pc cool and good CPU cooling.

and so on.

So if u want to spend silly ~600$ amount for all that stuff don’t bother. youll be just disappointed.

Same stuff goes for an laptop if u’d ask in close future.
a 600$ laptop won’t make this game run good. with mine worth around 960$ im getting 30-40 fps on low/mid sett in pve. Spvp or wvw are barely playable.

Im not sure, maybe im doing something wrong.

But before 15th of nov while I was doing Town exploring : example rata sum with freshly created character and even around lvl 7-8 i was getting this kind of xp:

~90xp per pont of interest
~91xp per vista
~100-120 xp per waypoint.

after 15th it seems that these xp numbers gone down cause now almost no matter what lvl im getting barely 21-41 xp from points/vistas -> waypoints.

was that xp amount reduced or im doing something wrong ?

I have a level 80 Mesmer and Ranger and I like to do a mixture of DEs/exploring in high level areas, Dungeons and WvWvW.

The only reason I haven’t deleted my Ranger is because I don’t need the slot for anything and I don’t feel like leveling up cooking again. That is pretty much all I can say.

This stuff about char space slot just made me laugh so hard.

Well i’ll go with mesmer, still was more into it in first place and only thing got me worried was that mob tagging, but when I get feel into class I should be fine

Im only most afraid that as You said in later events im going to have tagging problem issues and be low on cash/loot…

Shatter aoe mechanic is great, also heard that persona trait makes you as Mesmer – player, 4th clone ? in which case you could just run into pack of mobs and shatter for aoe.

Im not sure, but does shatter have amount of mobs restriction ? like other aoe skills like 5th bow skill for ranger which can hit max probably 6 targets?

I’ve done both to a point but some serious pve/pvp issues with them.
i’d like a good pvp char ( for WvW / spvp ) which is able to handle pve pretty well.

In this case mesmer seems superior in pvp but a bit crap in pve – due to last nerfs with los/ clones not spawnins/ zerk nerf with blindness etc and pretty low Aoe options makes me worry about late game events.

Also when looking on most classes they seems to have a good, low cd ability to push them forward, like thief bow “blink” skill/ warriors charge, sword leap, engi rifle jump etc. while we got only kitten skill a blink, which has long cd and takes important place among skill bar which could be replaced with something better.

As going trought low lvls with mesmer sword/focus seem to be best, high dmg + swiftness, full power runes. off hand staff for groups of mobs.

In asura zonem later in where the power plants are, theres event to kill huge golem bomb, I’ve done it with bit of struggle as mesmer due to massive amounts of mobs guarding it but it gone good, had some tough moments with low hp but nothing bad.

and then i picked up ranger and tried same event alone. God is was so easy, I leap in with gs, put traps under and started swinging. event was over ( golem dead ) before I noticed.

In spvp done by me till now, both of them are quite nice, ranger for sb condi builds, toughness + power//prec gs build was a lot of fun…
But then mesmer with his shatter spec and well, just pure domination.

in low end pve events ranger seems to be dominating with traps and gs swigs / axe/axe combo. And im not sure how it will be at late game.

im hoping someone else here got ranger/mesmer both on 80 and would like to give an opinion how diff in low pve/pvp vs high end pve/pvp on both classes.

And is mesmer really so badly broken now with the illusion spawn mechanic ?

But You have to seriously consider a CPU options and how much cash you want to spend.
If You want to exchange whole rig, or just CPU – and for serious Oc You’d need fine mobo like this :
ASROCK Z77 Extreme3 ( there are 2 versions, 1 for 1155 second for AM3+)

For Cpu, depends on amount of $ you want to spend:
i5-2500k
i5-3570k
or
i7-3770K – which is faster then i5 in single threaded and ! got 4 cores / 8 threads which is really important as both i5’s got only 4 cores/ 4 threads

You could also try cheaper version :
AMD fx-8350 which was prooven to be if oc’d close to i5’s in multi treaded operations and around 15% behind in single threaded and it’s stright 8 cores

If You want rig for this game and want also to upgrade GPU You got 2 options:
1) Get ONLY GTX 560 Ti ( Not 600 + series – they seem to have problems with gw2 )/ Or any Ati card from 7850 upwards.
2) wait for GTX 700 series.

Go for i5-2500K.
Or i5-3570K – it’s younger brother of 2500k with ivy brige – tho heard it’s heating a lot so you’d need a good cooling.

I not, just play for now on rig you got and wait till jan of 2013 when intel releases thiers new baby :p

And there are 2 full threads about asura weapons and it’s so hard to input/change few numbers to change position of weapon to right shoulder and make em bigger?

And we can’t get item scaling a bit different ?

How harder difficult is to change some numbers for weapon scaling from creating whole new animation for female norn ?!

What’s the issue? I actually thought mesmers came through the latest nerf in ok shape. Portal got nerfed a little, but not unreasonably, and clone spawning now requires LoS and can be evaded, which hurt in some circumstances (WvW keep assault), but didn’t feel class breaking.

So, am I missing something?

Ur missing the point, that If we try to spawn izerk or iduelist while you will dodge, Phantasm won’t show and skill fail overall.

This makes us lose long cd which gives us a lot of dmg/dps for nothing.

Imagine Being a Warrior doing unload or #2 skill of gs and your first hit with is misses or it dodged and whole skill fails to land – you don’t hit with 1st hit, no more hits while there should be 5-10 of them.

same idea for your AoE, imagine your ranger with #5 LB skill, first wave of skill fails to land on at least 1 target, and whole skill fails – dissapears.

In this case when you dodge, Phantasm Should still spawn, but for example miss with its 1st hit, end yet untill it’s killed or you shatter it, it should stay in fight and deal dmg – but this doesn’t happen, in some cases phantasm never spawns and we lose a lot of dmg due to that.

Oc Your cpu.
2.9 ghz with this sorry for this but Crap CPU is terrible. Look for oc guides and get it to 4Ghz at least.

First of all get Ati card instead of Nvidia. They seems to preform better in this game due to bandwith of data etc.

Also an i5-2500k/i5-3570k will do.
I’d even risk with new AMD CPU an FX-8350 wchich isn’t far away from intel CPU ( o5-3570k ) and oc’s with no problem to 4,9Ghz

Seriously How do You think we can help You while you didn’t posted even your system specification.

Also Ready some other threads cause in best appearance mode there are markers set to high/ultra which only makes your GPU work harder and you won’t see diff like :
Supersampe vs native
LOD distance to medium/low istead of high/ultra ( this is great hit to your fps )
Shadows on high not ultra.
And reflections OFF.

And seriously stop expecting 40-50 fps from a laptops at max appearance settings.

As i have lvl 20 on my ranger, I use mostly flame/spike trap.
Combined with GS+Shortbow, full low lvl power runes + 5/5 power/prec build running with starter cat pet and I never had any surv issues.

Stuff dies so fast that I couldn’t even imagine it on my mesmer, on which I was afraid to take up more then 2-3 mobs of my lvl because I was squishy as hell and didn’t do much dmg.
here whenever i see hughe mob pack i see it as challange… “oh 7 mobs, last time i’ve beat 5+veteran lets see will i handle 7 + veteran”.

Seriously letting pet go first, taking all initial aggro on it, then you Swing in with #3 on GS, put healing spring ( the 30s well heal ) and then 2 traps + some gs swings and stuff dies in 3-5 seconds.

If thats what you call sli support then that is pathetic. 30fps in LA with 2 670s is absolute crap.
They need to optimize this kittening game, its been months.

So It makes me wonder with you double 670’s.
Are u using a CPU like old e5000 dual core ?
or some kind of unOC"d i5 ?

Cause as far as i know and my PC shows i get 40-45 FPS on mid settings with GTX 260 and i3-3220. You can look trought other posts in tech forums. theres screen shot.

As far as my Technological knowledge goes when it comes to PC’s.
You double 670’s require at least i5 OC’d to 4,5GHz to give good results, otherwise your CPU will bottleneck them.
If I were You I wouldn’t get double 670 not untill I had a i7-3XXX X / K version for them oc’d a lot.

Also It seems that You low fps in LA is caused by Your CPU not GPU.

Also There is totaly no point in getting SLI setup for this game as it’s not very demanding on GPU.
