• Before HoT ?
• Before Stability change ?

Curious, since people seem to read different things into this, and you where not very clear on this.

Before HoT for sure. And def before the Stab changes. Servers should all be stand alone servers once more. Quadruple the transfer rates or increase rewards for being a loyalist to your server. I think that would be a decent start.

OK so maybe this is the wrong place to ask? But why does the BL chest still give you a trick or treat bag as one of the options? Halloween is over, so should it not be removed?

Why do people have this belief that resetting something, rather then trying to fix it would solve anything? The good ole times, which I also remember, are long gone. Either adapt or you are not going to have fun. Anet has done many good things for wvw over the last several months, I dont like all of it, but considering the years of neglect that preceded it, heck its amazing. They cant force people to play wvw.

Not trying to be a downer or a troll. But maybe the best thing for WvW is to push the reset button. I do not claim to know how to fix WvW, and I wish there were a easier way,! It just seems that every Anet implements or tries to introduce something new things just seem to get worse.

And I am sure there are those who love the new changes. But WvW is just not fun anymore! There use to be epic battles and both sides had a blast. Now it is just a Blob vs Blob and whomever can pew pew spam Condi will win.

So in all seriousness Anet. Can we please just hit the reset button and start over? Even if that means WvW is closed for a bit. I know this may sound harsh, and some may view it as negative. I love WvW and just want the good ole times back!

I like the 1 up 1 down. WvW is way to unstable for Skirmishes and linking. Take all that crap out and fix WvW first.

Isn’t that what the Obsidian Sanctum is for? I realize it has a JP too. But you can duel peeps from other servers and what not. If you want to do it with friends though the GH is the way to go.

Also let’s not give Anet anymore distractions! They need to fix WvW first before creating new maps or a lobby.

I would like the Devs to respond to these posts. People give feedback. I am sure some is positive and some is negative. They need to communicate better if Gw2 WvW is to survive and be healthy. But at this point it does not seem they are to concerned with the veterans of WvW and what we have to say.

Really people are voting for Skirmishes? God what is wrong with people? Do you really want to wreck WvW? Where is your server pride? Where is your can do attitude? Having issues covering daytime/afternoon/evenings/overnight? Figure it out. Where there is a will there is a way!!

No more siege please. Make skill damage of people hit gates harder and able to attack walls, go from there. If people want to defend, they need to get off the wall and fight or attack from above with their own skills.

I know it will never happen, but it would be a really awesome event.

I’m mostly disgusted with the mobile cannons that were implemented. Still tired of arrow carts as well, but they really outdid themselves with these cannons…

Would you elaborate why or you are just hating for the sake of hate? I would like to hear why you think that a system that actually breathe some life in servers that had empty maps most of the time is so bad.

Sorry but all of you low tier people that are matched up with Higher Populations Servers need to learn to fight properly in WvW. It is not your fault to you a Zerg is 15-20. To us a Zerg is at least 50+. You (for the most part) are unwilling to learn proper techniques.

You do not get into TS even though invited to do so. You run kitten builds and can not fight . Therefore you bring down the server your paired with. If you were willing to learn proper fighting techniques, and learn to run proper builds everyone experience would be so much better! But until these lower tier servers learn this stuff, they need not be linked with higher population servers.

Personally if the fights are 35-40+ I turn all my graphics to the lowest settings. But that only works to keep me from lagging half the time. Fairly certain the skill laag alot of peeps felt last week in EBG was server side though.

TBH I just had one built by a good friend. From scratch it will cost you (just the tower) about $800-$900 to be able to run Gw2 the way you want it. It is very taxing on the CPU just be aware.

Ya not sure this person knows what they are looking for. They want help is what I am thinking. And tbh I only help guild members I have known for at least 6-12 months.

The developers HAVE been paying attention to WvW, unless you were asleep for the the past few patch cycles. Every single patch since summer has contained significant WvW-minded contributions and adjustments.

Please let me know about these so called positive updates for WvW these last few patches! What is positive about them? They Nerfed things. That is about it.

Best to read changes for yourself or experience them. Everyone has a different play style. For instance you might like the new deploy able cannons. I however am not a fan.

How about can Beta just be done? I honestly do not get why people would vote for crap like this? Makes no sense! Just gives those who hide behind their siege more advantage to be baddies!

I want a flying mount in WvW that can bring down 25 people at a time, and kill RI lords. Also it should have a flak cannon equipped as a secondary weapon. The elite skill would be the Rainbow Mushroom Cloud! This has a timer of 20 minutes, but it can kill everything on the map at once. IT can only be attained by doing lvl 100 fractal 10 times in a row. You must defeat MaiTrin in under 2 minutes as well. Every time you use it cost you 100 gold and 30 laurels. The only way to obtain laurels is to RP in the PvP lobby for 6 hours daily.

In the last 1503 days (4 years) I have played 7663 hours up to this moment across all characters. That’s an average of 5 hours per day. GW2 addiction or what? Well it used to be.

There was a time when I didn’t even know these forums existed and pounded in GW2 / WvW for all it was worth. Finding friends, finding enemies to go after. Some days were as much as 12 hours on weekends. As I’m reading my email this morning from one of my friends asking (where have you been?) I realize that those days are gone.

I’ve said it in the forums how my 95% time in gw2 was spent in WvW at one time, and now it’s diminished. But my time in the game period has dropped to an all time low.

It’s the same song you keep hearing here about the direction of WvW and server linking. I have seen so many of my WvW die hard friends just drop out of WvW (or gw2 altogether), or do what I do and that’s go into WvW for missions or maybe a bit of havoc for a short bit and then leave. With the linking we have the one big issue that we no longer have a server to represent. Just a host, which in this case trolls us a huge amount of the time unless we just do our own thing quietly, that I personally have no interest in supporting.

Other hosts have been much more receptive but at the end of the day they are hosts and NOT our home world.

I figured I’d post this little bit in its own spot since I logged in this morning to GW2 to do my daily pickup of mats (not sure why I do that except out of habit), and then log out since none of my friends are in yet. While I was in I thought I’d to a /age check and surprised myself at how much I see I used to play, which is about 4 times the amount I play now.

Ah well, I will keep coming into the game to see friends but as things are going, (and obviously will continue to go), I will not likely tag up in WvW in the foreseeable future if ever with the current set up. Nor do I have a huge amount of interest in the same old other stuff this game has. The only reason I haven’t stopped altogether is because there is no monthly subscription. Or, (as in the case of WoW), it would be uninstalled.

ANet, I realize this makes zero difference on how you will continue to do things moving forward. But I just wanted to post my personal stats here as my final post to these forums. As I said in one forum entry.. it’s like spitting into a gale.. and frankly I’m going to keep my face dry from now on.

Well Spoken!! I know I feel pretty much the same way. I Hope Anet realizes what they need to do, and do it quick. I really use to love Gw2. But now like you I log in for dailies, and then I just log out and play something else. Very sad if you ask me.

I hope I can keep this positive I will certainly try. I would like to see a different polling system. And tbh I am not even sure they can or want to do this.

What I have in mind is to have people polled based on the type of play they do most. So if the vast majority of your time is in PvE, PvP, WvW, then you should be polled for that part of the game.

This way the polls have more validity and sustenance to them. I hope this makes sense.

I dare a Dev to comment on this and actually make sense of all this! It’s like they simply have given up, and just do not care! Do they realize a lot of people would come back if they just listened to those who play the game? Make positive changes instead of this garbage? Sounds like your salty! If you do not like being attacked 30 v 1 then maybe do not roam. If I meet a 30 + group I try to get away or at the very least try to take a few out with me. It is part of the game. If you do not like it, then go play another game. I hear Hello Kitty has a great game for those who do not like group play.

Isn’t it obvious they do not care? I have reported the same thing multiple times in the past few years. Yet nothing is done. They are to busy creating more outfits and wrecking WvW to give two kittens.

DH is Balanced:DDDDDDD lol everyone who says that is facerolling over the keyboard and kills most ppls with 0 skill.

DH got way too much survivability combined with blocks.
They even heal up when they fart.

Damage you deal to your team is doubled back onto yourself.

Imagine how this would stop mega-zergs focus firing single targets. Your archers and AOEs would have to use some intelligence and not fire into melee. You could still fight when outnumbered, defend gateways. It would probably open up an otherwise pretty boring WvW experience to new and interesting tactics.

I would prefer them to remain. Strategically placed monsters or ambient creatures are used to teleport with skills like JI or Guardian sword 2. It offers mobility to classes like this where there would be none and mobility on WvW is everything.

• Please change so we can block this and make it slower and more noticable like revenant’s taunt. Maybe increase the recast to kitten and the pull at 120s. Make the tether last for 10s to compensate.

Shield of Courage – Blocks “all attacks” from front to side not only from projectiles but from melee attacks as well for 5 seconds (untraited) and can be renewed with reviving an ally (traited) and with Renewed Focus (meditation)

• Change Shield of Courage so it gives the DH a chance to block the next 5 attacks for the next 5 seconds. ( 7 attacks for the next 7 seconds if traited with Bulwark). Reduce cooldown from 75s to 60s to compensate.

Hunter’s Fortification – Removes conditions when blocking. Receives less dmg when the dragonhunter has no conditions.

• Please increase the recast of this trait from @1s to at least @2s preferably @ every 4 seconds. Move the “receives less dmg when DH has no conditions” and add it to “Big Game Hunter” trait’s passive effect.
