I used to be a new player once. Your “too easy” goes away at high levels. There are some Champ bosses that will make you cry if you try to wack them solo like a Demi God.
With all the QQing with BlakGate in Tier 2, and with JadeQuarry and YakBend doubling teaming TarnishCoast in Tier 1, I’d like point out that Maguuma/StormIsle/CrystalDesert is the best place for close battles.
If your looking for good GvG and fights, please transfer to one of the servers in Tier 3. Please come. I’m glad I don’t transfer to JadeQuarry when I had the chance. Maguuma has taught me what true Guild Wars 2 players should be like!
Tier 1 is the Legendary Reward if you work really hard!
So I can use any warhorn and get that sound?
I’m on Maguuma. We are targeted by hackers all the time. Maguuma doesn’t have a single hacker. The way you get into Stone Mist Castle is to has a Mesmer player use their portal skill.
Which skin is the new warhorn? Is it an expensive exotic one? I heard it in game, and I die laughing. I don’t use that weapon but I will after I get the new one.
I agree with Ohoni.6057. We paid for this game so we should get what we want out of it. It would be unfair to lock skins for only elite players to get. All players should get it because we bought this game. Leave him alone. He’s one of few people who understand how MMOs should work.
Um… the only way to insert a tail on a human in real life is beyond the teen rating of this game. I think adding tails to the game might cause people to assume naughty thoughts.
I have friends in Australia. They tell me the ISP is bad. You need to tell your king to force ISP companies to stop being cheap, and make the internet more accessable. Korea and Japan have such fast internets, that it makes us look like a 3rd world county.
I’ve been playing in golems, and find it hard to attack enemies who are not in golems. They move too fast to get hit with punches and Omega rockets. This make golems really underpowered. You can have +500% damage, but since you can’t hit moving targets, it no work. Because of this, I would like to see the Omega rockets to have homing ability. Real rockets in anime movies always follow their targets.
Another idea is to make 1st person golem view more like Mech Warrior or what Iron Man sees in the movie. I want to see target radars in my screen in 1st person. It would make GW2 more realistic.
I saw a video of flying golems from the BlackGate server. Why does rank 1 servers get to have flying golems? I want to transfer there so badly.
I’m not going to pursue this anymore and people are free to believe in whomever they want.
After Anet rekt your lies, does this mean you’re going to take another break from the game? If so, can I have your stuff?
Just checked another post and saw others had similar screen shots, otherwise better safe than sorry. Here is the screen shot that I recently deleted after finding my answer for those that need a reference.
I guess the note that says: “This was sent by another player. It was not sent by the Guild Wars 2 team.” isn’t enough to tell you what’s going on?
My god we have a topic of a ranger, who boosts about himself because he sits on a point and pewpews enemy team while they fight the rest of his team………. . . .
You can take the circle if you kill me. I’m just playing by the rules. I’m sorry in advance for killing you.
It’s not your Ranger, it’s all Rangers. Mainly because there very few good Rangers. Most just perch themselves on a hard to reach ledge and pew pew at max range while you are busy fighting their teammates. They won’t even come down to help prevent a cap.
Isn’t that the purpose of Range attacks? Am I supposed to run up to you, and then shoot you at point blank range just so you have a chance to swing your sword at me?
If all you do is range then you are doing it wrong. You bring almost nothing to your team.
Are you one of the players who get mad when you get killed by arrows? Isn’t the purpose of PvP “Player versus Player”? When I kill you, I help my team. Then I stand on the flag circles.
Yes, being ranged and pewpewing everybody can help your team, but when you do this without helping your team to do objecties as stomp/holding, you are not being useful, that’s what is he saying… another example, staff eles, they can be well positioned spamming dps areas into teamfights, and they are helping their team, but if they dont use their support areas or utilities they arent being optimal
But isn’t standing on flag circle and turning it my team’s color useful? Is there something I’m not understanding in this game mode?
Of course is useful, he was talking about staying ranged only
Ok. I didn’t understand his hate for me killing him with arrows. After I kill people, I stand on the flag circles for my team points. I thought maybe I wasn’t doing something for my team. thanks for clearing up for me.
The guild I’m in has maybe 20 to 30 active players, and we have 800,000 points and max guild credits. Maybe you need to invite more people to your guild?
Smaller groups of friends or people who don’t have hours to play every day are kind of left behind here. If you can field a few dungeon groups a day, always have lots of events being done and have enough people to unlock and do guild missions, yeah it’s easy. Plus as the OP said, if your members are repping another guild…
If guild people are in are inactive, or have inactive “rep”, why should they get lots of points? The OP should kick the people who not help the guild with points, and find more friends who will rep.

they are scared of you and are so bad at the game they are trying to use psychology to get you to stop playing ranger because they can’t think of any other way to fight you.
But the enemy kills me too. It’s not like I never die as a Ranger. The only difference is that I shoot arrows. Elementalists cast magic at me, so they’re similar to Rangers, but no one complains about them. I have a hard time killing Guardians because they are so tough, but I don’t complain.
Was there something else that happened years before I bought this game that I don’t know about? Something that made people hate Rangers for a long time? Like a glitch or bug that made Rangers invincible?
Rangers are weakest profession in the game.
So if I kill someone in PvP with my Ranger, and I’m considered weak, that means the person I just killed is weaker? I guess I understand why people would get mad at me. But it’s not like I’m the best PvP player. I don’t have the skills to compeat in tournaments.
I don’t agree. Mounts are animals or even dragons. If you have a car, I don’t think you call them a Mount. You “get in” a car, you don’t “mount” a car. In WvW, you “get in” a golem, you don’t “mount” a golem.

Which is a mount . . .
Mounts are animals, like horses and cows. My idea is for a vehicle that you can call out and drive or pilot. The Charr have vehicles and helicopters, so it would be something like that.
But it’s not a mount. It’s a Personal Carriage Transport. It’s like a vehicle you can ride on.
I play daily, and I seem to get a lot of hate when I play my bow Ranger. When I’m on my Warrior or Thief, people don’t say much when I kill them. But when I kill someone with my bow, people get angry at me.
My question is why do people hate Ranger players? I’m not god mode because I can die too. I just don’t understand.
Hello all. I’ve been playing this game for a little while now, and I have an idea I’d like to share. What does the players think about having some type of personal carriage? The idea came to me from using waypoints. There should be an alternative to running and teleporting. We should have a type of vehicle that we can get on, and ride between towns! I look all over forums, and didn’t see anyone with this idea, so I want to share it!
In the story, I see the little girl riding on top of the golem, so the idea was in the game already. Why not let players ride on things too? So please consider my Personal Carriage Transport idea.
So these puppies, as I sure you all know, are in high demand. There’s Dwayna’s stuff, Gift of Light stuff, weapons, etc. . . . They are currently over 3G and the 2nd most expensive is 86s. I know demand raises prices, but it seems more stuff requires this particular lodestone and it may drop the least. In my bank, it is the fewest and I haven’t used lodestones for any crafting. I haven’t researched this, but what do you think? Are things unbalanced right now regarding supply and demand over all the lodestones, or is just that this lodestone is used for the coolest stuff?
I agree. They should give us what we want because we paid for this game!
I have played since beta, but the recent changes (or restrictions) on build choices (traits) has me seriously considering moving to a different game.
My builds used ALL aspects of the game as I expect most seasoned players did. From trait stats, mix/match armor/weapons/trinkets, food, infusions, runes, sigils, wvw buffs, etc. I enjoyed robbing stats from one to prop up another which seems no longer available since the June 23 patch. It has also add the need for more of the same stat weapons/trinkets/armor (more crafting, ugg).
This seems to be a pattern for MMO’s as a very similar situation happened in World of Warcraft when they expanded WOTLK to CATA (imo of course). It also seems to be done to find new players by care-bearing the system, but it also profoundly steps on the backs of the seasoned players that supported the game from it’s release.
If I have to relearn my entire play style due to the sweeping changes the devs made. I might as well look at all MMO’s on the market since I’m relearning how to play anyway.
Just my two cents, glad I didn’t pre-purchased, came close, let the flaming commence <smirk>.
BTW, It doesn’t seem as if the healing stat scaled up with damage either. Yes/No?
If you are quitting, can I have your stuff? I’m semi new, and don’t have much money.
Anet should ban all the bad people, so we can play games like normal.
An Anet manager might have visited Australia, and was attacked by a Drop Bear. Now he’s scared of your country, and left them off the list. So blame your government for not getting rid of those monsters.
It seems like it’s doable, since in Tera you can make child characters. The difference is, they have long animal-like ears. In the Korean version, they can even wear skimpy armor. So it’s not like it’s not allowed.
I could make one with an Asura, but they are ugly.
In the Never Ending Story, the hero was a child. And the empress was a child. There’s nothing wrong with fantasy characters being young heros.
Hello Anet. I would like ask if I can be allowed to make a child character in game. I saw in towns that the model exists. Would it be OK to unlock this feature?
If the game just gave us what we wanted, the prices wouldn’t be so high.
I’ve noticed that there are some players who get very very angry in PvP. If their team is doing bad, they shout in chat. If you kill someone, they private message spam you with words that I can’t repeat here.
I get that this is a competition, but is it really necessary to verbally attack me for killing someone? I think I’m doing good. I have Deer rank on my lv 40 Ranger, so I’ve been playing a lot. When I “F” spike a player, I show off my rank emote. Sometimes I bow to them for saying it was a good fight. Then I get messages yelling at me to 1 v 1, or put me down for killing them.
Does a lot of people here get the same things from enemy players?
Ignoring server names, you can make the same argument with any Sports Team irl.
Why do people hate on the New England Patriots?
Why do people double up on Brady? Why do people hate on the Tampa Bay Lightning?
Why do people double on Stamkos or Bishop?Comes down to a primitive nature within us, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
You don’t like X and I don’t like X so instead of helping X by beating each other, let’s bring X down.E.g. The NFL Bounty Scandal, We don’t like Favre, the other teams definitely don’t want to face Favre, let’s target Favre and force him to sit out of any games due to injury.
Going back to Guild Wars 2,
The only way you can move up is for someone to go down. If the server above you can not go down with just your own efforts, it would be logical for the enemy of your enemy to assist. It’s not to help you out, it’s to help them selves out as well. When they go down, both you and your enemy of an enemy are able to move up which is the objective.
It’s the price of being Successful in anything, you will have a bulls eye on your back and you need to hold off the competition that wants your spot.
Isn’t it cheating or considered trolling to double team a server?
I think chunky female human bodies would be popular with players who like to look real life.
I think that’s what happened on Maguuma at night time. The enemy so large, than the night players got burned out, and stopped playing. When I have a day off, and can play during NA times, it’s a tonn of fun. Once those players leave, then other server takes over.
I was watching some videos of Guild Wars 1, and I saw some players riding a giant scorpion mount that shot trebuchet shots. So with the first gaming having mounts, and none in Guild Wars 2, I was wondering if mount are really part of the lore of this game or not.
And from BG perspective I personally hate TC more than JQ FYI
Why do you hate TC so much?
I’m on Maguuma, and I’m considering transferring to JQ. Fights were fun on my server, but with the new match, it completely changed everything. Night time runs are non-existent now. The SBI server has such a large presence at the time I play, that they own all four maps. I see other Maguuma players trying to fight, and then I see 50 enemy attackers just run over them from the side. Someone said in chat that they call that a K Train.
I researching other servers, I found that JQ has a good size night force that I could enjoy. I was talking to some JQ players on voice chat, they said that TC and BG double team them, so it’s no fun.
My question is why do people hate JQ so much? I don’t know if it’s fair to have two other servers gang up on you.
I wonder if it’s just me but types of human female body are either like from surgeon table or just weird. Almost all of thin ones have almost no diffrence (more round butt, bigger boobs even if they are alrdy big or legs like sticks) and more thick ones looks just……can’t even find a word. Is there any chance to get a normal thin body type with SMALL boobs like from thicker models? Or just add options to set a size/thickness of parts of body (not so extreme as in Aion) . I know it is fantasy game but i don’t think asura technology alrdy doing plastic surgery to make a thin body with double D size. Don’t know how situation looks with other races but it’s a thing which annoys me every time i open makeover kit.
I’m really not sure why you complain. The average female tend to be on the larger side in real life, so having an avatar that lets them play as a skinnier fantasy version of themselves is ok.
Just be happy with your body size, in real life, and in game.
Rangers have a pet that can rally from a distance.
I want to buy a beard for my female human Warrior!
Anyone claiming they are killing anyone with just rapid fire are fighting bad/uplevel players.
Dragonbrand is not bad players, there’s just so few of them.
You don’t get “extra” damage from pets. Ranger base DPS is lower than other classes because the idea is that the pet would make up the difference. In PvE, this works ok because every enemy stands still and waits for your pet to come over and bite it. In PvP/WvW, every enemy is constantly moving so you actually LOSE DPS because your pet can only deal damage to stationary objects.
My Longbow rapid shots follow the target no matter where who moves though. Enemies go down so quick with that.
Why doesn’t my character ever have to use the bathroom?
Is that normal, everyday magic?
I can’t believe that I’m not allowed to marry my homosexual in-game partner. Science can’t explain that.
Do Elementalists and Necros really do more damage than Rangers? Right now, I only have Warrior and Ranger, so I’ll try one of those out then. Hard to imagine another class being more powerful than a Ranger though. That’s all I hear people complain about when enemy Rangers target commanders.
Actualy, it is probably worst class for WvW. Rangers are good for roaming (5 and less people) but they sucks at everything else. I would say warriors and guardians are core of wvw.
How can that be when Rangers have rapid fire and knock-backs on Longbow. Add extra damage from my pet attacks, and I do a lot of damage. When in large group fights, I’m protected by front line. My team has even recommended I use Fire and Lightning sigils for triple damage.
