I am addicted to the feeling a great game can give me.

Currently GWII is giving me that feeling, which is why I play.

I am actually afraid of guardians.

Every time I see one in PvP I go:“Nope” and turn around.

I personally think that a paid expansion would do more harm than good at this point.

People have gotten used to free content every 2 weeks, and if they suddenly had to wait 6+ months without content and then be forced to pay for it they most likely wouldn’t like it too much.

ArenaNet have gotten themselves into this “mess” of the Living Story. Now they either prove that it actually IS like an expansion, or they call defeat and will lose most of their playerbase since people won’t stay with a company that doesn’t know what it is doing.

No – once you have the skin it is unlocked forever and you will never have to buy it again.

However, you will need transmutation charges to change the look of your items. So if you buy the Krytan armour and apply it to your current gear, then you will need to use transmutation charges to change the look of it to something else.

Sounds to me like the game is just not for YOU personally anymore, OP.

I hope it will forever be a ruin.

ESO failed before it even launched.
SWTOR went F2P, and so did Rift.

The April Feature Pack made a ton of “real changes”. Things that were needed, and things that were just nice to have.

A Feature Pack is not some sort of expansion that is supposed to dramatically change the game, it is just a patch that only adds new features – because in the past people never noticed changes because they were too focused on the new content.

I am perfectly happy with the current quantity and quality of the content they produce.

Yeahhhh idk what your talking about considering pvp had a MASSIVE update in April along with tracks and rank changes.

Massive update? Let’s see what happened:

1. PvP’ers now have to use transmutations charges, previously it was free.
2. Ranks were nerfed to oblivion – suddenly everyone is rank 60+.
3. Armours are no longer locked behind ranks, which removes all prestique.
4. Raid On The Capricorn was removed.
5. You no longer have ALL skills in PvP, which means it is no longer 100% fair game to newcomers.
6. They stripped EVERYONE off their PvP gear, forcing them to use PvE gear and use transmutation charges to get back their previous looks in PvP.
7. You cannot have a fully equipped character at level 1 anymore, because you now need to be level 15 to get a helm and shoulderpads.

The reward tracks was the ONLY good addidion to PvP in the April Feature Pack. Everything else was a big middle finger to PvP’ers.

This is of course just my opinion.

Ooookay let’s take this one at a time shall we…
1. PvEers NEVER had it free to transmute. Now you in pvp you get like 5 trans stones per day which is not possible to do anywhere else in game.
2. There are no rankings in Pve so this doesn’t really apply or mean anything if ur not a pvper. The fact that 1.5 years in and no one was rank 80 yet just says something about how it was implemented from the start.
3. That very well may be but pvpers now can get arah armor which is an end game armor. I wonder if wvwers can get arah gear hmmm?
4. Just stop… that map sucked and everyone agrees.
5. To make it more balanced…. cus you know… it’s pvp.
6. And all skins you had before were unlocked in the wardrobe, what’s your point? And with the constant supply pvpers get of trans stones it’s kind of a joke.
7. Armor doesn’t mean anything in pvp AND you get tons of tomes of knowledge if you want to lvl up.

Have you even read anything about the expansion? It’s the most sorry excuse for an expansion in the history of that game.

Every single new feature that Blizzard announced for the expansion has either been removed or been nerfed to the point where it is completely useless.

Night time used to be much darker, but as with most MMOs it was taken away.

Look at the trailers, they showed a clip of Kessex Hills switching from day to night and it was fantastic.

Sadly I don’t think we will ever see dark enviroments in the open world, only in closed areas like caves and dungeons.

I seriously don’t understand why people in this game are so entitled to birthday gifts. In the 6 years I played WoW people never complained, they appreciated whatever they got.
Heck, for the 8 year anniversary Blizzard didn’t even give the playerbase a gift, they just made a video summarizing the raid bosses that have been slain throughout the years, and people loved it.

Only if they also add a frying pan as a hat.

Some of the options don’t do anything special and in my opinion make the game look worse.

This part was already bugged for me 3 days, so I didn’t even attempt to finish it. I probably didn’t miss anything anyway.

Why exactly do you keep playing this game?

This game is obviously not for you.

My main is an elementalist because when I started playing this game I had been playing a warrior for 5 years in WoW and it got boring swinging a hammer.
I needed some new animations, and then after seeing the Yogscast’s elementalist spotlight video I was sold.

I also have a level 80 thief and warrior, and I want a new profession but I can’t decide on the race.

That’s kind of freaky.

If they were available in the character creation screen then you would still have to buy make over kits for you existing characters.

My most personal relation to GWII is that I started playing it around the time I began trying to battle my Anorexia.

By the gime this game launched I had been fighting several eating disorders for a few years. Then on September 1st.(a few days after launch) my family had to put down our 13 year old dog, which we had had since I was around 3 years old.
I got so depressed that I couldn’t even the tiny portions of food that I ate then. That was when I realized I had to take it seriously.
On September 10th. 2012 I changed my life for the better. I’ve gotten much better since then.

I associate GWII with that part of my life.
It’s kind of funny, because I was having so much fun in this game that the game felt as a reward for chaning everything.

I personally think that having these armour sets be tournament exclusive is a bad idea. It should be a reward for general PvP, perhaps reaching a certain rank, or unlocking via achievements.

That way it would even out the armour set distribution between PvE and PvP, meaning that since launch 3 sets have been added to PvE(Ascended) and then these 3 for PvP.

I think they should have made tournament exclusive weapons instead, just like they did with WvW recently. The Hero Forged weapons were incredible.

But either way, I applaud ArenaNet for releasing free armour sets again.
And the medium armour is one of my favourite medium armours in the game.

Hello, I apologize if this has been brought up already, but I couldn’t find a thread about it.

I was wondering if there will be a song at the end of the Living Story seasons, now that they are permanent?

The Personal Story had “Fear Not This Night”, and now that the Living Story is permanent, and is a big improvement to story telling and the way ArenaNet delivers content, I think that it would be really nice if each season was capped with a song.

I don’t know who Dooburt is, but I honestly didn’t Belinda’s death had any impact at all.

The cinematic where Marjory and Kasmeer discovered Belinda hanging from a tangleroot was greatly animated, but the sequence afterwards absolutely killed it for me.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but Marjory’s voice acting is absolutely terrible. She is just as bad as Trahearne, there is zero emotion or change of pitch in her voice, and as a result of that it completely broke my immersion.

I don’t mean to sound dismissive, but is this really what ArenaNet considers content now? No new basic dungeons since launch, no new Fractals since November, nothing else new for people to run? Comparing this to what was done in Guild Wars I really have to wonder what is going on. There are several games in end-of-life development that get more content added to the game over six months than this!

They have been busy revamping the Living Story, making the Feature Patch and releasing the game in China.
Yes, it’s not a lot of content to be added in 7 months, but it’s what we have.

Thankfully they have really upped their game, to the point where now the Living Story is becoming actual end game content.

It depends entirely on the lighting in the area you are in, and the armour. Only some armour has this effect.

I once took this in Harathi Hinterlands.
It’s just regular dyes, but the lighting makes it much more shiny.

No matter how many copies they sell or how many players the game retains there will be haters using this information to their own advantage.

For example: If the game didn’t do well in China, then it was because the game sucked.
But if the game succeeded in China, then it is because it’s just another Korean grinder.

Regardless, big congratulations to ArenaNet. You guys have truely created a fantastic MMO, and hopefully it will be here for many years to come.
