Click on the cog in your chat box. It will give you the option to only see messages from people using the English client.

Dry Top is a single map that requires jumping – and it’s the only one now that the Zephyr Sanctum is destroyed.

I love jumping/platforming. It is one of the many things that makes GWII different to other MMOs. I have gotten friends to join the game simply by showing them jumping puzzles.

I personally hope that they use new mechanics like this for all future maps, because it creates varity and makes it more fun to explore since not every map will be the same.

People said the exact same thing when the Bazaar of Four Winds first released. Then a few months passed and suddenly it was the best patch ever.

This is kinda becoming upsetting, since I just looked back at the April patch and saw that underwater PvP is a ghost. I had somehow hoped Raid on the Capricorn’s removal was temporary.

I think they want to get rid of underwater combat entirely – at least in PvP.

They have continously removed underwater elements of the game: Raid on the Capricorn, Temple of the Silent Storm, and the big lake in the WvW Borderlands.

The game is somewhat better than it used to be, but for the two situations you just described:

1. WvW is still just a zergfest as far as I’m concerned.
2. Leveling is entirely for PvE and WvW. sPvP is supposed to be skill based, not stat based. So yes, it is still pointless to level up, if all you want to do is sPvP.

There are indeed a lot of breath taking places in Tyria, and if you take it slow and have fun you will have the best experience ever.
By the way, there are a ton of those kinds of tanks in The Black Citadel and in the charr camp in Field of Ruins.

Also, don’t worry about the personal story. I haven’t completed it myself despite the fact that I have been playing since launch.
Personally I just refuse to do the last chapter because it is a group mission, whereas all the other ones were soloable and thus much more immersive to me since I could take my time.

The “really big feature patch” was the April 15 feature patch.

GW2 is a game that tends to look better in screenshots than it does in motion.

Are we playing the same game? Probably my single favorite thing about this game is how good it looks in motion. It makes other MMORPGs look really silly and clunky by comparison.

Now I’m not saying anything about the depth, accessibility, fun factor, or anything like that; let’s leave those to other threads. But purely visually? Oh my god does this game look so much better than other MMOs.

Sorry to tell you this, but just because you don’t like something it doesn’t mean that said thing is bad.

Talk to all the scouts in the map, they will tell you if there is a heart nearby.

Funny, I don’t see any rushed things at all. Only beautiful places where you can have fun at your own phase.

I just want to say that I fully support this idea.

This is a big step in the right direction, and it is fantastic to see that the developers are open to critism and are willing to adapt accordingly.

The feature pack almost made me quit and lose faith in the developers because of the changes to PvP, but hopefully this is a sign of better things to come overall.

World of Warcraft is not getting any content for a year+, while demanding you to pay 15$ per month, only to then charge you 50$ for an expansion.

I’ve played since launch, for about 1800 hours and I have only experienced perhaps 1/3 of all the content in this game. Over 1500 of those hours were spent at max level.

They fully created a version of that outfit that works perfectly with charr, yet they used one that didn’t work.

I just bought it because it’s another option to play a medium armour profession and not having to wear a trench coat.

No hat.
No skimpy.
Works beautifully with charr tails.

What sorcery is this?

When you see identical twins and just assume it’s a mesmer.

Just a few ideas:

1. Collect as many skins in your locker as possible – I know you said you are pleased with your looks, but over time you will most likely want a new set. Or in case you’ll level up an alt.
2. Collect minies.
3. Collect ascended of all combinations for all armour types.
4. Collect endless tonics.
5. Collect dyes.

Even people that unlocked it in SPvP do not have it anymore, since it was converted into Masquerade Armor. So currently there is no way to get this set, or have owned this set, for anyone.

Those of us who had it in our PvP locker have it unlocked for all characters, just like every other piece of armour.

Go to Black Lion Merchant next to a trading post in a main city, like Hoelbrak, and upgrade them.

You need to do it on all of your characters.

There are 99 problems with this game, but the combat ain’t one of them.

As of right now I am playing the same amount I did before the patch, but the more I think about what has changed in this patch, the more I look at other games.

I don’t think I am part of the target audience anymore, and that is making me lose interest in the game.

As of right now GWII is still the best MMO currently on the market, and there is a ton of features, content and systems that will be extremely hard for me to play without, but the changes to PvP are absolutely horrible:

1). They removed one of my favourite maps for no reason at all.
2). They stripped all of my characters of their PvP armour that I have worked on, and not only are they charging me to get back those skins, but they are also forcing me to level up those characters in order to get shoulderpads and helms, since those are not sold by the vendor.
3). They have made ranks even less prestigious.
4). I can no longer gain all the skins I wanted, through PvP.
5). They removed the PvP skins such as the Tribal armour.

I will continue playing for now, but I don’t know how much more I will be supporting the game.

I don’t really care much for what they are as long as they have a unique look.

I’ll buy the Mad King’s Outfit and Executioner’s Outfit as soon as they come back.

But something profession-specific would be awesome. I’d love to have an outfit that was based entirely around guardians or mesmers.

I am aware they they do not provide additional stats, but i just don’t think it’s reasonable for ArenNet to force us to level up in order to obtain the look that we had before the patch.

I am not whining, I just don’t understand the logic behind this. All they have to do is add those two armour slots to the vendor that is in HOTM.

I’m sorry if this has already been asked, but is there any way in PvP to get shoulderpads and helms below level 11, or do we now have to level to level 11 to get a full set now?

I really hope I don’t have to level up my PvP-only characters just to use skins I had before the patch.

I like two think they deliberately put in these mistakes, just to watch people rage.

-When you see a nice discount in a store and say:“What savings!”.

-When you see something in real life that you can climb and think of it as a jumping puzzle.

As a former player who’s tried to return to the game several times lately, the “ruined” version of Lion’s Arch makes the game unappealing and not worth playing.

I am not trolling or anything like that. What I meant is that if all you cared about in the game was Lion’s Arch then you should probably find another game, because MMOs change over time.

There should definitely be a social hub for players to gather, but there already is – it’s the Vigil Keep now, instead of Lion’s Arch.

So there is no need for the city to return immidiately, because everything the city offered is still in the game, just a little north of where it used to be.

The developers of GWII are always so calm and down to earth. Everything at ArenaNet seems to be so casual and relaxed.

This may just be me, but it’s a dealbreaker to me. If I don’t like the devs, then I won’t play the game.

I always get such an arrogant vibe from the developers of ESO and other games. Such a turnoff.

I deleted the character that I had my Celebration Cap on.
I bought the soundtrack.
I didn’t participate in SAB: Return to School.
I used my level 20 scrolls on characters I then later on deleted.

To the people who say that the Megaserver is a sign that the game is dying:

World of Warcraft had 8+ million subscribers when they merged their servers. Is that a sign that the game is dying?

Elder Scrolls Online is launching with this feature. Does that mean they are expecting to have very few players?

When people asked for this feature at the launch of GWII, was that a sign that the game was dying a few days after it launched?

Mixable pieces as in pieces that will be added to our light/medium/heavy armour wardrobe, or as in pieces we can mix and match in the “outfits”?

Also, is there a list of each individual item that will become tonics?

There are a few options as it is( at least for male characters), but we definitely need more.

As of right now, not taking cultural armour into concideration, there is:
1. Ascalonian.
2. Profane.
3. Embroided.
4. Student – to a certain extent.

But in the next patch we will be able to use town clothes, so the pirate costume will also become available.
The cook costume is also pretty good, in fact it changes completely depending on your race.

Does anyone know why there is a tengu in the Vigil Keep now?

Or has Fuji Shadowbane always been there?

To be quite honest, all of them are amazing.

They are much better than any of the other races’ personal stories in my opinion, so you can pretty much pick anything you want and have a blast.
