In my opinion anything above 15 is a zerg, 20 I might even agree with, but above that is zerglet material, but opinions vary I suppose. I was more talking about play style then size, but whatever floats your boat.

When you get a 5man logged in and geared to run, or even an 8man… Then u roll out and on every BL what you find is a mob of 40 listening to one idiot in a voice comm yelling which door is next to bang on and to “stack”…. Then you log off and probably don’t group up for another week or two, or a month.

There has been some decent small man action this week. Granted you end up running around a bit looking for it, plus you have to run off blobs a fair bit, but overall not too bad.

I hope our doors were challenging.

I agree. Mag’s oceanic and SEA timezone is so absent that we were +600 even before I could log on at about 7:30PM Sydney time. Wasn’t much left to do except chase the odd supply camp to try and get to +695.

The topic being how best to observe that the new policy is draconian and delivered in threatening/amateurish tone without ever implying that the people who would initiate such a policy are by extension draconian or threating/amateurish.

To be fair to everyone, the only thing which has changed in our policy is the insulting of our staff.

Name-calling, threats (via forums/PMs/appeals tickets) = 2 week suspension for first offense, permanent ban for the second offense.

The problem in my opinion is a total lack of credibility on the part of the moderation system. One of my first infractions was for saying ‘I second this’ while quoting another post. That post as not infracted or deleted, just mine. My appeal to the listed email, never received a response.

Now this same system is going to be policing what a personal attack is, considering your own vague list… not really that encouraging. I feel like I should just post a big manifesto on what I think because it is just a matter of time before I get an arbitrary ban regardless of how careful I am.

Yeah… nothing insulting about being called an incompetent, clueless liar who’s useless at his job.

I would suggest that a comment about ANET is not a personal attack at all, no matter how insulting it is towards the company. ANET is not a person. Fire ‘so and so’ is more a request than a personal attack and I think perma banning someone for saying ‘someone’ doesn’t have a clue would be an extreme response.

These in my opinion are all pretty much why everyone is concerned about how the enforcement will be carried out.

That all being said, we absolutely do not tolerate personal attacks towards our staff on the forums, in PM, nor in the Appeals system. Profanity, name-calling, and the like will quickly lead up to your forum privileges being revoked permanently.

You did not answer the overall question. Profanity, name-calling pretty easy to define. The issue is the vagueness of the term ‘personal attack’ in light of the fact that the moderation team has a rather…. random approach to moderation.

Also for the record ‘you have been warned’ comment makes people take the official post…. probably in a different direction than intended.

Leagues was a very popular topic as a suggestion to anet, this bloodlust nerf, future area for the so called GvGs, and many other (including stuff outside of WvW). They probably listen to their community more than you may actually think.

I do not recall a big push for leagues and I question why anyone would think it is a good idea given the balance issues in the game. It is one thing to entirely ignore the balance issues by sticking your head in the sand, but making a league while ignoring the issues is like tossing salt on a cut.

Not everything is about your personal enjoyment. A lot of us enjoy the jump puzzles, or used to when folks still did them. Do what you like, ignore the ones you do not.

I would rather do a few jump puzzles instead of wxp train around for objectives. The SM achievement if you are in the bottom of a league will be painful and one I outright ignore.

I’ve seen many people that aren’t on Maguuma. If there isn’t a karma train, most people I have seen in WvW aren’t all that skilled. Enjoy Gold if we get there. FA lost some guilds. They were never a PPT server so the notion that they are tanking on purpose is stupid, they simply do not have as many people as they used to.

That wouldn’t be so bad as Mag and FA seem relatively close to each other in terms of coverage, but the disparity between the top two of silver and the rest of the tiers is ridiculous, and Mag and FA aren’t happy unless outnumbered.

We have discussed transferring as well. FA and Mag did get shafted by RNG in getting CD, but the predicted ranks are still pretty volatile depending on time of day, so still hopeful that Mag can make it.

D/P thief is a crutch build, it is what you play when you like to PvP with training wheels. I typically just laugh at them and move on.

Transfers started after league play was announced. If ANET had not pushed back the start date at the last minute you would be top of silver.

While I think the OP’s mastery is over the top, specifically the movement speed. I think your reaction is equally over the top.

As a roamer, fair fights are rare in the first place. When I exclusively solo’d I was getting maybe 5 hard 1v1 fights in an entire week of gaming 3-6 hours a night, most of my fights I would have to take on multiple people for the challenge. I now play in a roaming group and it is the same thing. There is so few roamers, even fewer skilled roamers, so you end up spending 99% of your fights fighting against silly odds because that is where the challenge is. Power creep has no impact in those situations because 1) it wasn’t fair to start with and 2) the game coddles players so much in this game that no amount of power creep is going to help most of them anyways.

Are the WXP guard buffs too much, perhaps but I am willing to accept them as they are because there is nothing to spend your points on unless you want to use siege. More powerful siege is just as much power creep as extra stats.

In my opinion the wxp needs an overhaul to make it more tree like so you are forced into making choices. Then make siege bunker a 115 point ability with 30% siege damage reduction and immunity to its CC/conditions. Make it only available to those who do not use any of the siege masteries. Then I am fine with stat buffs being removed.

So all trash talk aside, my take on these 2 servers

Magumma: To be honest mag has some good blobbing guilds, had some good gvg’s and fights with VR and Ark (before they got interrupted) They also have some decent roamers in Aon even though you guys tend to run in groups far larger then a typical roaming group ( apart from Aon all the mag roaming guilds are terrible, just look at swag lolololol)

FA: Has by far the worst player skill per player of any server ive faced (and i think ive faced everyone but T1 at this point.) Just awful on every level, from large group to small man to solo. I dont think FA is tanking this matchup i just think there so terribad that when they cant zerg down another group 3 to 1 they just get crushed

Just my thoughts on the matchup

In fairness to FA they lost a lot of folks/guilds recently, lots of guild restructuring going on, etc. They still have a better outlook than most servers, so I am sure they will find their grove again.

AoN averages 7. Some nights 3, other nights as many as 9. 7-8 is a fair number in my opinion given that there is unfortunately not enough roaming groups, so you spend most of your time fighting zergs.
