UPDATE: After emailing a support ticket to Anet. The suspension was changed to the 72 hour suspension instead of the permanent suspension for gold selling. I imagine the error code I initially received was the wrong suspension notice and has since been changed. Thank you.
Administrators may lock this thread.
Okay well I received an email response from the GW team I will not state who the individual that responded is, but this person said the following “The decision to suspend the account is final. This decision has been thoroughly reviewed by our team, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion. The account will remain suspended until the block expires and is not eligible for reactivation before that time.”
Now I’m confused. The message said that my account was suspended permanently for selling gold but according to the email response, the suspension will expire yet there is no indication of any time to expire. I will include the screenshot.
Oh and the support ticket number is this: 130412-000734 In case Gaile wants to look at it.
My thought is this, the response is just general response given and the ticket wasn’t even looked at, either that or I received the wrong message as far as account suspension, which leads me to ask:
What in the hell did I do to warrant this suspension?
On another note: I love Guild Wars 1 & 2. I’ve loved Guild Wars since I first started playing back in 2007 0r 2008, can’t remember exactly. I was in the closed and open betas for GW2 and in the head start. I’ve have spent over $200 for gems for special items etc. I am a very dedicated player and I believe I deserve at least an explanation why these actions have been taken other than just a general statement. I don’t deserve special treatment but just basic human explanations so I know what exactly is the issue here.
So I just got booted form Guild Wars 2 and when I tried to log back in I got a message stating that I was permanently banned for selling or helping to sell gold for real life money. WTF? I have never done this!! I have never helped anybody do this. What in the hell is going on? Doesn’t anybody there even substantiate these things before just going and banning somebody?
I got an in-game mail today that i reported for scamming but I’ve had nothing else to do with any kind of gold selling. I want to know what the hell is going on.
If this can’t be cleared up, I want a full refund of the purchase of the game, and purchases of updates and any money spent for gems. This is just screwed up.
Depends on your playstyle. If you’re a pver, any server should do fine. For pvp, any gw1 player who called themselves a pvper went to Stormbluff Isle or Fort Aspenwood if they were American and Far Shiverpeaks if they were European.
It doesn’t matter what the play style is, PvP, or PvE. And I was thinking of Fort Aspenwood as that’s where I started before a friend convinced me to move and then the rat quit GW2.
Yes yes yes yes yes and hurry
So no matter what level I am or what armor or how much toughness, vitality or whatever, when an NPC hits me with poison (particularly the Risen) it takes me down fast. My Guardian, my Warrior, even my Necromancer who has condition removal. And why make it stack-able? There is no sense in being poisoned for 30+ seconds. And yes that has happened fighting the Risen especially when they re-spawn a half second after they die. Most re-spawn while you’re still fighting the original.
Glad to see FA back. If we are going to lose, let us lose to players that know what they are doing.
Um…there is some brown stuff on your nose, here let me get that. ewww no sorry that stinks!
I am wondering what server hosts the most GW1 players from:
America:
Europe:
Not to put anyone out, but South America and Canada and other countries are grouped with the American servers as the Eastern continents are in the European servers. (Well most are anyway.)
As the title says, I am looking for GW2 players that live in or around Lincoln, NE to form a fan club or just to hang out, talk about the game, strategy etc.
Tengu
Mursaat
Hyleck
Asura ranger: Dr Doolittle
LMAO I’ve seen him all over.
A charr Guardian i believe: Charrboiled Eggs
A Human Mesmer: Dominatrix x x (which is interesting as I had a Mesmer in GW1 by the name of Dominatrixx
An Asura Warrior: Bonfaz Burntfurr (altho this would be better as an elementalist charr)
(edited by Nocturnal Lunacy.8563)
The biggest issue I have with this:
1 -it’s per account rather than per character.
Anyone who has more than one toon is given a big fat middle-finger by ANet.2 – you have no real choice in what shows up on your dailies or monthlies. Don’t like them, tough.
3 – you have no way to do multiples on one toon or one account if you happen to have the time. At least in the other titles ANet scoffs at, you can do as many dailies as you want.
This is nothing but artificial kitten-blocking.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned and I don’t care I’m not reading all the posts to find out.
I agree, making it per account instead of per player seems like Anet is trying to make it take as long as possible to get things with laurels for all your toons. Maybe some of us don’t like farming fractals or grinding for crap. I don’t know who keeps coming up with these ideas for Anet, but from experience with everything implemented in GW2 from events to the personal story, that there has got to be one sadistic son-of-a-b***h running the show.
Anyway, you get laurels for map completion right? So a new player or players that haven’t bothered doing map completions can get theses laurels but those of us that have already done map completions get assed out? WTF is up with that? Is Anet going to make sure players get the laurels for achievements already done? It’s like saying, yeah you’ve done all this work and spent all this time but basically screw you we’re more worried about new players.
Big difference with War Machine is that Jang Gun gets annoyed when his team tries to charge like that without stability. But its gotta go down eventually.
A bunch of well of corruption would stop that zergball dead in its track.
I have to disagree, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve laid marks and wells and FA ran right over them and nothing happening. There are times I’d throw marks into the zerg and nothing. And then there are times when fighting FA I’m doing massive damage to an FA player yet their HP bar never moves. So I guess exploits will be used by those players with no skill in order to gain advantage. Hence why they have to zerg 30 man at a time, cuz if they were caught alone they’d be dead fast. If you need a massive zerg to fight 4 or 5 enemies then you truly lack in skill.
(And by “you” I am referring to those that use these tactics. Not you personally Ninein or you Besetment.)

Does DB really wait until FA is on inner at Mag Bay? This will change how FA operates. We’ve been assuming that DB is just trying to take us down. (It’s a bit strange watching 3 roaming bands of DB with 5-15 members hover around FA’s area on Maguuma’s BL when DB doesn’t even own hills).
If you guys are really trying to take hills what you WANT to do is attack Maguuma as much as possible so we can focus on them as well. Taking their Northeast Supply, trebbing that South Hills gate. Ramming the Northwest Hills gate (thereby opening the walls to be cleared on the south, and securing a nice open flow of troops to inner Hills). There are a lot of things you can do that would get you points, and also make Maguuma lose points at the same time.
The reason why Bay takes FA so long every night is because DB is NOT attacking hills in force, Maguuma barely has to worry about it.
Food for thought.
Um first of all we could give a (beep)less about Maguuma. We are after you FA! Just remember that and don’t read anymore than what is there. If you are anywhere we will be there to complicate things, destroy your zergs or whatever. You think it’s about Maguuma and the hills. That only proves you have no sense in the art of warfare as you completely misread the intentions.
WvW needs larger maps to combat zergs! Larger maps is the laziest suggestion that has been regurgitated over and over to the masses like it will make WvW any better.
What WvW needs is terrain Variation: Night and Day cycles, Swamps movement debuff, Snow terrain with spots with “blizzard” white outs, Fog, slippery hills in ice area. Ambush holes and caves blind corners and windy paths .
Small guilds want: Sabotage!!
Mines, explosives for destructible bridges, trip wires, gas bombs, road blocks, under water nets and mines added to siege vendor with applicable cooldowns.Step you game up A-NET!! I’m calling you out because you I know you are capable of things like this.
P.S: also applicable to S&TPVP
Yes yes yes, anything that benefits smaller servers, groups, zergs whatever is an awesome idea. When a smaller server is pinned against a much larger server, the smaller server really loses out on everything, points, karma, xp, etc. There needs to be a system implemented for the smaller server except the Outmanned buff which 9 1/2 times out of 9 3/4 times doesn’t work and and isn’t even implemented when the smaller server is clearly outnumbered. There was only one instance that the Outmanned buff actually was implemented when we were vastly outnumbered in the whole time playing WvW everyday for hours a day since beta.
So is this a thread for relaying what you’re tired of people saying, or a thread for what you relayed about the zergs?
Does that actually bother people? I might start dancing and sitting on corpses.
The act of dancing or sitting or jumping on defeated players is very disrespectful. If it makes your defeat easier to handle when your opponent bows or salutes giving you respect then what the hell to think it feels like to have an opponent dance, jump or sit on a defeated player?
C’mon lets have some respect for each other. We are all trying hard and battling hard. Some players have only won because their opponent hit the wrong key or a skill bug or lag worked against the defeated player. And you all know who you are that does this disrespecting defeated players when you know you should’ve lost. I’ve seen most disrespect done by Thiefs and d/d Eles seriously. It’s the Warriors and Rangers and Engineers I’ve seen giving most respect.
I usually give a bow or salute to players I’ve defeated if it was 1v1 or 1+v1 or whatever. And I will also so it to defeated players that fought a good fight even if I was not involved in the fight. And there are times when the opponent is downed that I will bow or salute and then go on my way allowing the player to rally.
After all, the purpose of WvW is not to hate each other (altho that is usually what happens to humans that have to war against each other), it’s about having fun. Not about who has the better skills, who has the bigger zerg or has the most points, those are just the outcome of WvW. The purpose is to have fun after all its a game and game were made for fun.
I am all for this with the option plainly available (for those that can’t quite figure the UI out) to have them reappear easily. It doesn’t quite bother me or get in the way as I have a larger screen, but there are things I have not seen due to a notice or whatever being there.
I suggest perhaps being able to completely alter the UI as we were able to in Guild Wars 1. Where we chose where to have our skills panel, mini map, announcements, chat, etc.
I’m sure I’m not the only player that has had the issue with being downed and having loot left around you. For example: I can’t count the times I’ve been downed by a group of enemies and while dead there would be loot bags all around me and by the time I could get back to the area they have de-spawned, or it is now in an area that inaccessible to my character. i.e. Stonemist Castle having been taken by the enemy.
I think that if a player has been downed and dies that any dropped loot should follow that character to whatever waypoint that player rallies at. Obviously with the exception of leaving the map. As in rallying to Lion’s Arch after dieing in Queensdale will not allow the loot to follow the character. I don’t even want to think what awards I have missed out from this.
Thank you.
Necromancer is probably the weakest profession in WvW at the moment.. Hopefully we get some buffs.
What is this I don’t even….
Necro condi bombs cover the world in badge farming insanity. Necros are AMAZING in group combat. Flat out terrain denying, hp dropping nuclear bombs in wvw.Well considering I was covering staff, and not the utilities (except for minions). Necromancer Epidemic is pure damage. No support. No control. We have no support other than our under-powered, huge cooldown wells.
There is no power build for Necro, there is no tanky build for Necro. We can provide extremely minor healing to our allies and we can only cure conditions with a 60 CD well with ticks 5 times and with an extremely buggy signet.
Not sure how you see 4 marks as being terrain denying and HP dropping nuclear bombs when all they do is 3 bleeds, a chill field and a potential area weakness, topped off with a 3/4 second fear..
I don’t even play Necro, but isn’t there a signet that continually transfers conditions from allies to you? Then obviously you send those conditions to the enemy with the off-hand dagger or other signet.
I mean, that’s what I get from reading the class specs.
There is… in theory. Of course since release all it actually does is copy those conditions to the necro thus giving people effectively free condition damage. You would probably see more necromancers if that actually worked.
From experience I have seen that using epidemic doesn’t really work worth a crap. I’ve used the sig to transfer cond. and used epidemic and if it does show the black plume thing it doesn’t really do any damage at all. I tried the one to turn boons into conditions and then transfer cond and then epidemic and nothing. Now I just use the one for speed and the transfer in case cond get stacked on me. I rely on marks mainly for the damage and the elite form grenth? I can’t remember the names. I just figured epidemic was bugged. The biggest problem is the casting time of epidemic. You can throw all cond to enemy but by the time you get epidemic off they’ve healed the cond or the cond have gone down so much that it might spread 2 sec of bleeding to 3 other enemy. It’s really a waste of utility slot.
On a somewhat serious note, I would like to reiterate that I am looking for a WvW guild to join on Dragonbrand. Before anyone from another server asks, no, I am not interested in switching servers. My current guild (which I am not leaving, just making use of the multi-guild feature) just doesn’t have any WvW presence and I would like to play with a group I can coordinate with.
Again, if anyone has room for an epidemic-happy necro with a lot of siege stored up, please let me know.
well you could always join my guild. It’s a new guild so I don’t have many members yet. Mostly friends from gw1. But I do WvW daily and I’d like to have another member we can run around with in WvW. There is another guildie that does WvW with me sometimes, but she’s not that experienced so I’m rezzing her more often than I should. But she’s trying and eventually she’ll get it. But we can take our necros and rampage WvW lol. Just a thought.
Right now since my guild is still small I usually join [TOA] in events. Mainly Thursdays on WvW and we go do Orr once in a while.
As for anyone else, I am seeking active guild members so if anyone wants to join shoot me a mail in game under Nocturnal Lunacy.8563. Looking for WvW, PvP, dungeons etc.
Nothing else. I have stopped counting every time I’ve taken down a solo FA player or 2 or 3 or 4 at once with a Mesmer. C’mon you should easily be able to take down a Mesmer with more than one player. And I’m not even that good, well let me take that back I am good to a point. My main problem is I have a condition where the joints in my fingers get this fluid build up and makes it hard to move them at times which makes my response and skill activation slow.
Me monster ate the rest of your post.
If I were going to choose one class to attack 2, 3, or 4 people with, it would be mesmer. It’s not difficult to get 10 stacks of confusion from auto attacking while DOWNED, let alone the 10+ stacks on multiple opponents while alive. Mesmer has more than enough escapes: stun locks, multiple types of invisibility, and the general confusion of the clones…
Anyway, I wanted to point out that a person who thinks so highly of their own skill is probably not the best one to judge the skill of others.
I really don’t think “so highly” of my skills. I’m not sure if you were being sarcastic or not but I will re-iterate. I don’t think my skills are anything special but I also don’t think my skills are average. It’s more I have experience and my skills are only as good as my experience. And I really don’t have any more experience than anyone else that has been playing WvW since beta at about 8-10 hours a day every day. My advantage is I’m an insomniac and therefore am able to play the game a lot more than the average player.
Um…no. No No No! FA is not playing better. FA has numbers and that’s all it is. Nothing else. I have stopped counting every time I’ve taken down a solo FA player or 2 or 3 or 4 at once with a Mesmer. C’mon you should easily be able to take down a Mesmer with more than one player. And I’m not even that good, well let me take that back I am good to a point. — I’d like to talk about skill and character freezing up.
It’s funny, but all my char are level 80 and thru PvE, PvP, and playing other servers I have not had the issue with my char or my skills freezing up on me. Just recently over the past couple weeks tho this has been an issue but only fighting against FA. Not when fighting Maguuma, or Ehmry Bay. Only against FA. I don’t know what is going on and I’m not blaming anyone and I’m not making accusations, I’m just telling you what I experienced. You can take it as you please it’s a free country. I will also say that it’s not all FA, I have noticed its when I’m fighting certain FA players. One is a Ranger and one is an Elementalist. But it seems to be happening more and more almost as if it happens about every other confrontation with FA.
Maybe my char is bugged, maybe anything. If anyone else has experienced this and don’t want to blame it on lag well let me know. Cuz if it was lag or whatever, then this would happen against Maguuma and all the other servers we’ve fought against.
Sorry to make this so long but I remember we were at the FA keep the other night and of course my char and skills froze, and as I lay there dead, I noticed an FA warrior, ele, and thief start bugging. And by that I mean their chars started blinking in and out, shaking, kind of like you think a char in any game that is bugged would react. And it was these 3 that came at us particularly the warrior flew by me so fast it looked like an ink blot going by. To describe more precisely in detail how fast, when an ele hits ride the lightening there is no time to react. Now imagine a warrior going twice that speed and that’s how fast these 3 were moving and immediately my char froze and while I lay there dead those 3 started glitching.Sounds like lag/bad connection to me. Some of our aussie & kiwi members tend to blink around the place a lot too on account of their interwebs being made of tin cans, twigs and bits of string.
LMFAO That is funny I actually laughed at that and no I’m not being my cynical self. And I’ve seen lag and issues players have had from other countries. I know what it looks like and what I saw was diff. What I saw was genuine glitching due to either bad code, or misread code by the processor. And like I said, it’s not lag, I know what lag looks like and bad connection this is completely different.
Necromancer is probably the weakest profession in WvW at the moment.. Hopefully we get some buffs.

Said like a condi necro that has never used any toughness, vitality, or weapon other than a scepter+ off hand dagger and staff. Nor would I expect that you’ve been in a group less than 5 people in your life in WvW : )
Let me say to all of this, I have a necro that uses a staff and scepter, sometimes Axe, and either a warhorn offhand or dagger offhand, I do not like using minions altho if you want more toughness you can get +20 toughness per minion. My necro is strictly conditional damage. I don’t give a rat’s … about critical damage cuz I’m not being physical with my offense. But when I lay out marks at the speed I do, it takes down players that don’t exactly have their attributes set up to counter the conditional damage produced. I have put down almost a whole zerg (with help of team) with just marks. Solo it would cause a lot of damage to an individual and if that individual is inexperienced than will prob die, but experienced players will be able to survive it. But that’s a solo encounter, if I’m with a group, you will die. And that is exactly how Anet set the caster professions up as. Group damage. Casters were not meant to be solo so don’t be surprised if the d/d ele gets nerfed. If I wasn’t with a group, I would prob die from an experienced player, but at the same time if I were with a group and we were confronted by another group that group will die from my conditional damage added to the physical damage from rest of group. If I wasn’t in the group then there is no certainty of winning. If my necro is in a group I can guarantee victory 8 out of 10 encounters.
Um…no. No No No! FA is not playing better. FA has numbers and that’s all it is. Nothing else. I have stopped counting every time I’ve taken down a solo FA player or 2 or 3 or 4 at once with a Mesmer. Cuz if it was lag or whatever, then this would happen against Maguuma and all the other servers we’ve fought against. Plus, I know the diff between this freezing and lag. I know it’s not an enemy skills cuz I know when that is happening. This is just an utter freeze where skills will act like they are activating but then don’t and go back original state before I tried to activate them. If I was interrupted or whatever, then there would be a cool down which doesn’t happen. It’s as if I didn’t try to activate the skill at all. And here is the real kitten kicker, it stays that way even when I’m downed. My char and skills are still frozen. I can’t activate skills while downed either. As matter as fact if I am rezzed, sometimes my char will move, but most times don’t and if I am able to move, I have to run out of the area where I’m safe and basically spam the skills until they start working again. Like forcing an engine to start by pushing it down a slope and popping it into gear.
Sorry to make this so long but I remember we were at the FA keep the other night and of course my char and skills froze, and as I lay there dead, I noticed an FA warrior, ele, and thief start bugging. You say you like T4 and T5 and you don’t want anyone to come to Maguuma yet you are battling Dragonbrand and Fort Aspenwood in T3 right now. Doesn’t make sense. As far as being totally outnumbered, there has been many in Dragonbrand who feel exactly the same way. Dragonbrand only got to where we are now from hard work, not by numbers as Fort Aspenwood who outnumber us about 3:1. As matter as fact, every week Dragonbrand is fighting against servers who outnumber us because some guilds decided to leave and then wanted to come back. Dragonbrand hasn’t grown in population as far as WvW goes. I play WvW almost every day and night and it’s always the same players, and same guilds.
I do have to say, that it’s good that Maguuma players have a good self esteem, don’t overestimate yourselves cuz you’re not any better than anyone else. And if you think portalbombing is good tactics then you know nothing of war when portalbombing is dirty ethics and could be considered an exploit as it causes players to lag and skill malfunction.
I’ve been wanting the exact same thing. Ive been thinking of putting up my own codiing for pve skills calculator. I’ve been hunting but everything is PvP. That doesn’t help when you are wanting one for pve. I can do coding and I can code a web page. I went to school for it, but I will need help. Any help possible from a site provided to help with coding and samples, suggestions etc.
The thief isn’t op’d. Players just know how to use them skillfully. But I do believe that there needs to be implemented some kind of defense against being attacked by the thief while the thief is cloaked. The real only defense there is are the aoe skills but if you don’t have aoe skills or you’re laying down aoe while the thief is standing just out of aoe range, its useless. For a thief to be able to take out 1 or multiple foes while cloaked and most times, there is no time to react before you’re dead.
I still can’t log in either. I am on Dragonbrand even tho the maintenance was announced to be complete an hour ago.
BTW GW2 team has a twitter account where they announce whats going on. You can find it here. https://twitter.com/GuildWars2Yes, except the last twitter only says “maintenance is over” not “Maintenance is over, however you may still experience connection issues as the login servers are bought back online”.
Yea don’t you think it would’ve been a good idea that they said that? Makes you think everything is good until you try to login only to be disappointed.
Had to add, I’ve tweeted that I’ve got login issues still but it seems they only answer those they feel like. But I don’t use that for issues, I use it mainly for updates. I will get a tweet saying when maintenance will happen long before they announce it in game or whatever. And it’s faster to get updates other than hours or days on these forums.

I looked on any member who had access that had left the guild the same time this occurred. And there was one member by the name of fudgenasty. So I have a feeling this fudgenasty was hacked and the guild bank was looted and then his account deleted. This was not a spiteful member. As matter as fact he was a new player and I was helping him learn the game and I bought him updated armor, weapons etc. and showed him how to use the trading post, how to do his story line etc. He was anything but a spiteful member.
So now that I suspect he was hacked what steps do I take now? Obviously I have a member that was hacked so he obviously needs help. And when Anet finds out about the hack what will happen to the stuff that was in the guild bank. I’d hate to limit the bank to only me and officers because I had that specifically for runes and stuff for the members so access was essential for them. But now I’m afraid that this will not be possible until Anet stops or at least makes it extremely hard for these hackers. Accounts have been hacked at an alarming rate lately and it’s making me jittery. The amount of email spam for gold selling and the amount of gold sellers I see in LA everyday is crazy. Anet obviously has a hole somewhere. But I may know what is going on but that would make my already lengthy reply even longer.

check out this thread. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/GW2-Crashing-my-computer/first#post849866
I am having the same problem with GW2 crashing my computer. I have a self built computer running Windows 7 Pro x64. It runs fine for a while but after a couple hours it starts freezing and eventually I get a blue screen.
I have an ATI HD 3300 onboard GPU on an ASUS M4A8T-E MoBo with an AMD Phenom II 965 Quad Core Black Edition processor and 4Gb RAM. The GPU reserves a Gig of that RAM for shared memory.
But in my case the problem isn’t the graphics altho the intense graphics in this game does put a considerable amount of strain on your computer and processor, GPU, etc. But it shouldn’t cause shutdowns, freeze ups, blue screens, etc.
If a GPU is overclocked as mine is (even tho it’s onboard) it should help to not make the computer freeze up or blue screen.
I have noticed that most these freezes and such are related to a driver or some “code” trying to access or attempting to use “interrupts” (as Microsoft calls them) threads and as a precautionary Windows shuts everything down to prevent corruption.
It states in my dumps that it’s a bad read/write error causing it and other times it states its the attempt to interrupt. I did some research and there is a Java exploit called cve-2012-1723.csz (it has other names) that was on my computer causing all kinds of issues. Anything that requires a call on anything that is Java related as coding goes calls to this Malware exploit because it sets itself in the core of the Java code. Now this game shouldn’t be using Java as it’s not written in Java, but that doesn’t mean that when you access anything that requires internet access, i.e. trading post, or whatever, Windows uses like a shell of whatever default internet browser you use to access any web attempt from any running program and Java is enabled in your browser by default and when the internet is accessed, your browser is called, which in turn calls Java which calls that Malware exploit.
I try to keep up on things computer and web related but this exploit was kept hush hush by Oracle (writers of Java) and Microsoft.
The good news is that its easy to get rid of, just disable all Java usage in all your browsers especially Internet Explorer. Goes to the Oracle website and download the latest version of Java but do not install online. Get the offline installation for windows and save it to wherever you save your downloaded items. Uninstall all Java installations. Every one because that exploit will be attached to every one. But first use your Anti Virus scanner to do a complete scan. Make sure your AV is fully updated. It should find and quarantine the exploits if your AV is worth anything. Then uninstall all Java. After uninstalling all Java run some kind of temporary file cleaner to rid you computer of any remaining temp files or cookies you may have related to this exploit or Java. Restart your computer. Reinstall Java using the install you downloaded and your Java should be fine. After doing this my computer has been running a lot smoother, more stable and faster.
By the way, this exploit can be downloaded without you knowing by clicking on a picture in Facebook, Myspace, my daughter got it from Photobucket. It targets social networking and email spams so beware what you click on.
I hope this works for. It did for me for now.
I noticed today that my guild bank was hacked. All the items in it were stolen. All it says in the history log was “Unknown User” removed… WTF? Accounts being hacked and now my guild bank hacked? My guild is Blue Hand Warrior Society [NDN]. MY IGN is Nocturnal Lunacy.8563.
My account wasn’t hacked but now that this has happened I think I will be changing my password and everything just to be on the safe side. My guild bank was filled with nothing but sigils and runes for the members of my guild to use and now it is completely empty. I’m not concerned about getting these back as it’s so easy to get more, I just want the responsible party banned and his fingers cut off so he can’t type. I’ve included a couple screens showing what was taken and who took it.
By the way, I am Diamonds Amethyst on one of the screens.
I’m not one to tell anyone how to improve anything but after playing since the first beta there a few things I have noticed that really irritates me.
1. Could we get some kind of confirmation dialog when deleting objects of value. For
example: it’s been three times now that I have got an achievement chest but had a full
inventory, and upon creating room in my inventory, I would accidentally click on
“Delete All” because it is the first suggestion which is where the “Accept” tab usually is
on almost all other dialog boxes. Today I deleted a karma jug, a Black Lion Trading Post
Salvage Kit, and 2 other objects. It is very annoying.
2. Jumping Puzzles: “I really dislike these” but that aside, it is extremely irritating when
attempting to do a jumping puzzle as a Norn or Charr because it seems they do not
have the capability of jumping as high or as far as a Human or Asura character.
Which leads into this next suggestion.
3. Please please please do something about the whole screen zooming in close when
next to objects. I can’t count how many times I’ve been killed from falling off high
objects or from AI because I could not see them due to a huge leaf blocking my
view or something blocking my view. And it really messes me up during jumping
puzzles.
4. I don’t know why it has been disabled or not encoded, but I’d like to suggest that
click to move be implemented somehow like in Guild Wars 1. I have carpal tunnel
syndrome and it is very difficult for me to use the “W”, “S”, “A”, “D” buttons while
also trying to use the number buttons when fighting or whatever. It can be said that
I could use the mouse to activate the attack skills but that seriously slows my attacks
down especially in PvP and WvW. Maybe if we could stack the skills on top of each
each other by altering the UI, like in Guild Wars 1 that would help a lot. Having the
skills closer by stacking them makes it a lot easier to activate them instead of
dragging mouse across the skills bar back and forth taking precious seconds that
could mean the difference between winning and losing.
5. Oh I almost forgot, please do something about the squishiness of elementals. Seriously, if elementals were any squishier, a water drop would kill them when it’s raining. Or they’d kill themselves when putting weapons away or if they trip they’d be done for.
6. And lastly, I would suggest some kind of NPC in the beginning areas of the maps that introduce, teach and give tutorials on how to use the “Traits” and the numbers etc. I have played since the first beta, watched millions of videos on where to put numbers for certain professions and everything but am still at a loss as to exactly use the the traits and where to put numbers. For example. The Ranger has a trait called “Marksmanship”. Okay so what exactly does Marksmanship mean, does the Ranger shoot a bow better with higher Marksmanship? Does a Ranger have more power with Marksmanship? To players that have never used anything like Traits, it can be very confusing. And what if I put 30 points in Marksmanship, and none in Beast Mastery? What would the effect be on my character? Stronger? Weaker? What? These need to be answered.
And this is my opinion on the whole having to buy a certain release of Guild Wars 2 just to get certain elite skills unlocked like “Mistfire Wolf”, Come on ANET I thought you were way better than that. If you’re not going to offer that skill as an achievement or something or offer it another way than having to get a certain release of GW2, then take it off my UI. I don’t need your advertisements in my UI after I’ve already purchased the game. And btw. I love the game and like playing it, but the story lines are just lame. I have to be honest, they are lame and it seems to be a general consensuses among the players that the story lines are boring. And the game was released saying everyone would have their own stories and your story line would change according to decision you make, but among all my characters, I have done the same exact story lines no matter what decisions I’ve made. The only difference is the order in which the story plays out or who it is played out with e.g. The Priory, The Order of Whispers, The Vigil. Every story plays out the same. We all lose at the Battle of Claw Island. I spent an hour and a half killing Risen and was clearly winning but no matter how many I killed, the story was already set to us losing Claw Island. I could write a better story line than this. I’m just saying. Love the game, dislike the story line.
ROFLMFAOWROFLMFAO I second this post.

My name is Nocturnal Lunacy. I do not emphasize any certain mode of play. I do PVE, PVP, WvW, Etc. The guild is small right now as I just created it recently. I’ve only got 7 member right now, but we will grow.
The guild is laid-back, friendly, sometimes chatty, and helpful and we seek individuals who are the same.
Please shoot me a mail regardless of whether I am logged in or not. If you PM me I probably won’t see it especially if in the middle of a battle. I am frequently AFK.
UPDATE: I now have a web site set up. It’s still under construction but you can still register and send a request to join the guild or whatever.

I’m wondering this same thing. Wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Secrets_in_the_Swamp) said that in order to spawn the Shadow Behemoth you needed to talk to Scholar Taryn, but now it says that talking Scholar Taryn will not spawn the event. Every time I’ve participated in this event, it was started after a player approached Scholar Taryn and subsequently after the Fleshreaver was defeated then you hear the rumbling and the NPC’s start talking their gibberish and everyone is running around to where the Behemoth spawns.
Maybe we need to get an official response to this by an Arenanet employee so all this back and forth about how to spawn the Behemoth is shut down.
