Yes there are a few. Seraph weapons, some exotic skins iirc, some skins you can’t get anywhere else… Two of the weapons towards the end even give a superior sigil of force, no skin, but still nice.

You can buy 2 dungeon runs in a row for 70% exp, then DR kicks in. The DR resets in ~30mins so I don’t think that’s gonna be a valid option.

I’ve spent like 4k hours total on GW2 and I think the best drop I’ve gotten on this game was an abyss dye, second to that maybe an entropy.

240 pristine relics and I’ve still never seen an ascended chest drop that’s berserker, but this is probably shared amongst many of you as well.

Best black lion chest was probably one that I got a mini scarlet from or something like that.

Took like 200 tequatl kills to get a tequatl hoard.

Arah p4 isn’t too bad in terms of length, takes half a hour to 45 mins which is acceptable I think. However the bosses are such a snoozefest and they just make the path a drag. If the bosses were better, the path would be a bit shorter (especially Vahid and the Grenth Priest) and much more fun. Farkittens the only good boss imo, Simin is okay too.

I’ve always been quoted 1 key every 5 runs as the stat…

…but looking up on wiki, player research says it’s 1 key every 3 runs: does that sound right to you?

So make that 30 runs per skin… which means you’re making ~3 gold a run.

Yes, that sounds much better for me. Then there’s also the chance for double scraps or one (maybe even two?) tickets, I guess at least the double scraps are taken into consideration.

Btw, not sure about the aetherblade trash in aetherpath since I have never tried to solo it before, but after having solod the aetherblade retreat fractal on level 50… I will not take those mobs for granted.

I was talking about when going through there with a group. In solos they can really hurt, but I still think Arah trash or even CM trash (if they wouldn’t die so fast) is worse. Oh and Dredge of course. kitten Dredge.

Let me rephrase that. I like the effect. I don’t like the fact it’s just pretty much basic skins turned transparent but you still have clearly visible outlines which makes it just look eh. Especially bad on the GS and the underwater weapons.

I adore the pact trident and even more so the misty purple one.

I have all of them except the axe shield and greatsword. The only ones I actually think could be better is the greatsword. with shiny weapons like these, more complex models would be …. overpowering.

I’d prefer it if the outlines of the weapons weren’t so clear, it destroys everything for me. That way I wouldn’t mind the basic skins that much.
And even then, the GS could have used Ebonblade as base for example.

There’s no way keyfarmers will be buying dungeons for it… the rewards from black lion chests are typically so awful that killing the orrian villagers at the start of Arah for 2-3 minutes would probably be more worthwhile. The main reason people do it on such a regular basis nowadays is because of the fact that it doesn’t cost anything other than ~20-30 minutes of time.

Black lion weapons currently sell for ~100g. It takes around 50 runs to get enough scraps for one weapon. So they’re making, on average, 2 gold per run right now. Not terrible. Prices for these weapons will go up to account for the price of dungeon runs.

If there are enough sellers, they can just buy one run after another. It’ll cost them barely any time at all. (Maybe a good opportunity to create a guild of trusted sellers?)

I think it might work because people LOVE gambling. They have images of permanent hairstyle kits in their head.

What is your favorite dungeon and least favorite dungeon? Try not to list several off for each, just name one for favorite and one for least favorite.

I’m curious how many people are going to answer with “Aetherpath” for their least favorites and favorites. It would make sense to me if you wanted to separate it from TA since it kind of is a dungeon of its own.

Also, you can include TAFU in your reasoning if you wish to, despite it having been removed.

For each, feel free to break it down into simple reasons as to why but you don’t have to. Here’s mine:

Favorite: Arah

1. super-awesome and fun jumping puzzles to go exploring

2. very cool scenery

3. plenty of the bosses are very fun to go for personal best times when soloing… as some of you know my favorite two in particular would be Korga and Lupicus

4. the trash skips are in my opinion one of the best parts of the dungeon which truly makes it unique from most other dungeons and it’s a fantastic way to test a person’s skill with a class as well. I also typically would expect a dungeon to have people ‘running for their lives’ from threatening enemies. It seems fitting to me.

5. gold reward at the end makes it actually worth my time and effort

6. great, replayable content… there’s a low chance of me wanting to repeat paths more than once in a day but I’m generally always up for Arah dailies even after a year of playing

Least Favorite: Caudecus Manor

1. dull atmosphere, would probably be cooler and set the mood for a dungeon more so if it were night.

2. everything just seems so darn compact when inside the manor. I frequently bump into walls while moving (at least with swiftness), and it’s really lame how the mobs can be attacked from behind walls.

3. I also can’t use my warhorn #5 on warrior to blast in fire fields/smokescreens unless I want to never be able to get ooc again (at least inside of the manor).

4. ferocity made it and the other lower dungeons too easy imo.

5. for some odd reason, the majority of people that pug this dungeon are even dumber than they are in the other dungeons. I can’t come up with any reasons for this that satisfy me.

6. gold reward is sufficient for the level of difficulty of it, but considering how I don’t find it fun I don’t think even doubling it would justify it for me.

Can you read my mind? Though I have to admit that I at least like the trash in CM. Most trash groups have a nice mix. //Oh and blasting the kitten out of Wahlen with the air blast cannon is hella fun.

To Arah I’d like to add that it feels more like a map than just corridors, which is something that makes it so much better than the other dungeons.

And since you talked about Aetherpath: It’s an okay path. The bosses are better than most others, but in the end they’re not really special either, neither in terms of mechanics nor difficulty. I like the ideas behind Mai Trin and the Thaumanova Instability more for example. Clockhearts’ shielding is a nice idea, but that’s it. Unskippable dialogue/cutscenes and the Ooze Font drag it down a lot, plus it’s just corridors – not that were able to do much in that regard. It’s fun to do it every now and then, but especially Aetherblade-Trash always felt… meh for me. Just because it’s trash it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be threatening. Not saying they aren’t, but they certainly feel easier than trash in other dungeons.

Because at the point I really noticed we were almost done with the second frac. I always have a friend with me (which thankfully can play well) who’d kill me if I leave and also dislike kicking even though she agrees that they’re kittened and it kittenes her off, don’t ask me why. So I’m stuck with them…

I thought that. Then I saw how they play. OMFG they’re the worst pugs I had in months. Not only are they bad and don’t know kitten, they’re also braindead.

If it makes you feel better, I have five of those insects and not a single recipe beyond what I needed for the back piece. I think I have about 50 geodes … just thinking about going to Dry Top makes me run away screeming at the moment, I’ve seen too much of those events lately .

Fillers wont work anymore.

1. You list a LFG with 3 fillers
2. Someone joins your party and pays, filler leaves
3. Friend of the person who joined first joins and they quickly kick you and your fillers
4. They invite their friends

They now get 5 dungeon slots for the price of 1. Everybody chips 1/5th of the price to the guy who joined first and they all just got a free daily minus ~1g.

And I thought I was the only one who would think that griefers are capable of that.

Autokick is 10 minutes and if you both log out during that time frame you will both stay in that party indefinitely. And yif you want to get rid of that someone then ask a friend to join your party, kick him and let the friend leave the party.

Is there any chance of Spider Queen being reverted in this case? It had a poison attack it would cast at range, and people could melee to prevent it. This was changed so that the queen used it regardless of proximity which reduced the depth of the encounter.

No thank you. Keep it as it is now. Let those fools that still try to cornerstack waste another 10 minutes. I’d rather wait 5-10minutes more for a “no spider stacking” group^^

Why? Lupi can very well damage you with most of his attacks.

I was referring to the p2/p3 where he flings projectiles at a player and when stacked under him, the projectile doesn’t connect. The fact that he keeps throwing it and that it does apply conditions to allies if you happen to “evade” at the time it “connects” makes me think that the attack was actually meant to connect even in melee.

iirc it has a slight splash or so I heard. Btw, the first sentence was pretty much was I explained, sorry if that wasn’t clear.
