Why? Lupi can very well damage you with most of his attacks. I’d go as far and say that Lupi has two basic attacks, a melee basic attack and a ranged basic attack and he simply changes his approach over the fight (in p1 he tries to kick everyone close to him, then he tries to blast everyone ranged while using his claws to severely damage & knock them into range of his projectiles).

Most people get their kitten handed even on lower levels in a full group. There aren’t many people (I assume) who could trio one fractal on difficulty 50, let alone a whole set.

Your definition of safespot is way too wide. So basically standing ranged at archdiviner is a safespot because he can’t hit you with his melee attacks, or the Lupi example.

A safespot is something where an enemy can’t hit you with any skills, no matter what while you very well can and kill him while potentially being able to just let your autoattack run.

1) The Inferno Room (or oven room) is an extremely annoying factor. The damage is so high that it takes a Mesmer to go as far as possible then Mesmer Portal back. Then a different person runs the rest of the way. However, not all the time is a Mesmer in the group for this.

This is bs. A mesmer is QoL. Every norn can solo it (as of now), Necros can solo, Rangers can solo, Warriors prolly can solo too and I’m sure some other classes also can. If it’s too difficult, collect cooling rods to make it easier.

2) Subject 6. In higher level fractals you actually get the opportunity to stabilize different rooms and can skip Subject 6 completely. However, in lower level fractals it is almost required to fight him. This fight is extremely difficult as he constantly heals if you do not kill the mini goo’s fast enough. If someone hits him while he is in block mode it quickly kills everyone in the party. Just a small nerf to make this fight easier would be greatly appreciated.

So? Either burst him down or manage your dps and kill off Oozes. The only thing I might understand would be only downing the player who attacks him after he gained 20 stacks, not the whole group.

Mai Trin Boss Fractal
1) For the love of everything sweet and holy please fix this fight to not be so unforgiving. Especially at level 50… she hits like a tank with her shadowstep across the entire room.
2) The “blue aether mist bombs from horrik” are not easy to get Mai Trin to step into which will remove her buffs. The solution is to all pretty much stack. However, this is almost impossible at higher level fractals… once again… truck hit.
3) The cannon phases are fine and dandy… but it would be awesome if even 1 person survives then there can be a break in time where people can either get out of combat to rez others or the downed people can retry from checkpoint.

1) Learn the encounter. While it is undodgeable it is very well reflectable, blockable and destroyable as she fires a projectile at you. Her tell needs a fix though as she sometimes looks at another player.
2) Learn to kite her – Although it really is hard if someone keeps aggro and doesn’t know what to do.
3) I get your point here but instead they should tone down Horrik’s damage because it is too much for those cannons and also they should finally get around and make the AoE-Indicators accurate.

Rewards:
I have ran hundreds of fractals. However, I have never gotten a fractal weapon from this. As this is my most coveted weapon style… it would be nice to use some of those pristine tokens or regular tokens to spend on the weapon skins. I have all the rings I need with the stats I want. I have no other use for pristine tokens.

It would be nice if the exotics that drop in FOTM were NOT account bound. There is a 99.999% chance that the stats on the armor/etc are not at all what I want or need. The style is not any different from some of the other styles I already have. So these are pretty much a let down if I get them.

Droprates have been and are still crap, I agree with that. I’d be more fine with the droprates if there were to be a “fractal weapon trading post” where you can trade your fractal skins 1:1. This however would mean that skins can’t unlock upon getting them but either having to choose if you want to trade them or keep them (so that you don’t only need one weapon and just keep trading that and unlock all skins).

Also yes. At least you can salvage those for inscriptions/insignias.

Stories/pictures like that are often depicted in the way the person who was banned wants them to be. If there was more to it than just what the person said, they probably don’t want you to know because they want to make themself seem as if they were a victim of abuse.

It’s not a safespot. He can still damage you, it’s just the one cave-in attack that won’t hit.

By this logic then it’s also a safespot to dodge, use projectile blocks/reflects, invulnerability skills or any damage mitigating skills against a mob.

There was no problem with the reflect damage. I believe it was altered for another reason unintentionally. If the reflect damage is the reason then anet can just make the projectiles blockable but unreflectable. But the change was a terrible rushed solution.

The reflect damage itself really isn’t. Malrona’s poison however amplified it and resulted in some pretty extreme numbers. I’d say this too played a role.

Just giving my thoughts because it really is a crappy solution.

Not everything needs to be completed without much hassle by everyone. Either spend the time to learn the path, watch videos or let it be.

There are enough easy paths which can be learned in almost no time (usually a run or two is enough), so why not have some paths where you actually get your kitten handed to you? The game doesn’t even kick you out no matter how hard you fail and since april, you can retrait on the go, so you have enough possibilities to tackle those bosses. If people can’t be kitten d to put some time into content to learn it, it’s their fault. They can stick with the easy dungeon paths, that’s fine.

What would help in that regard may be adding a difficulty behind each selectable path/dungeon upon choosing/entering. I.e. when getting the popup to open cof it says “difficulty: easy to medium” “est. playtime: short-medium” and when you speak with the NPC to pick the path, it tells you what applies for what path (p1 easy-short, p3 medium-medium for example). This way, everyone knows what they’re in for.

Thinking about it, not even having placeholders may be safe when griefers are willed to give up a few gold and then happen to be fast enough.

Depends. Personally I don’t find say AC all that exciting. But, make it like Arah and I think we’d get months of fun and exploration out of it.

That’s a bad idea.

There’s a reason why you see people run AC far more than Arah. Arah takes experience and coordination and most pugs can’t handle it, whereas AC can be face rolled with pretty much any Pug that has any half decent players.

Your idea would just end up making AC a graveyard with the occasional dungeon seller.

A graveyard? Enough people run Arah.

The game needs more dungeons like Arah, by that I don’t necessarily mean the bosses (most of them are easy as heck anyway, most people have more problems with the skips I’d say), but in form of the exploration aspect. It actually feels more like a map and not just corridors.

Pugs need to step up their game and realize that while you can play everything, not everything is effective. Also, they finally need to learn how to dodge/utilitize your skills.

He probably means Archloser’s and Mossman’s what-feels-like 600 radius/range (depending on the attack) cleave and the monk’s empower (is that empower? Never bothered checking) in urban battlegrounds.
Shaman does Firestorm from FGS btw, it usually hits for 4k~ on higher levels iirc, but it can crit for around 10k. As can the arrow.

Let Kiel stand inside the corridor before Mai Trin or whatever and let her shout tips during the fight… I noticed many people don’t understand Mai Trin at all, even at higher levels.

(This is of course more of a joke, but I wouldn’t mind if something like that actually makes its way into the game…)

I doubt he sees skill as an exploit. Content in action based games (where you have everything you need on your own character) is always soloable as long as there aren’t any restrictions which make it impossible.

For rewards: Let rings drop from 1-20, amulets from 21-40 and accessories from 31-50. This way you can get a full trinket set without the need to spend laurels or do guild missions/spend even more laurels + ectos.

I also think and improvement in gold is necessary. Level 50 fractals should not warrant the same gold reward as level 1.

So maybe the gold rewards could be: x*thefractaltier. So for example t1 (1-9) would be something like 1.5*1 and t2 (10-19) would be 1.5*2.

Also some sort of progress towards a skin would be nice. (we already have pristine relics so this could work) Maybe something like 25 pristines per skin?

I’d like to add to the 25 pristines per skin idea, which I like very much. But the only difference is that instead of making the skins pure RNG based, or pure grind (25 is a little much if you don’t have them already saved up, I turned most of mine into regulars), make it a mix of both. The idea is basically the same as it was in elite areas in GW1 (DoA comes to mind first, though UW and FoW were similar), make the relics have a chance of dropping from bosses and mobs in general (at a low drop chance, similar to crystals in DoA, not worth farming mobs for it, but getting even 1 extra relic could help out players a lot that don’t like grinding). The end chest will always give 1 relic, as it does now. I honestly wish this strategy was used more often in the game.

I think he wants to give you the chance to either get the skins through RNG or trade them for X pristines. The idea with the relics rarely dropping from mobs… why not.

imo, the ooze font is holding most pugs back from doing this. It requires a lot of coordination and that’s rarely given in pugs. Padding is okay, at least you always have something to do; trash at the beginning, font, a bit more trash, boss, trash with showing how to destroy hologenerators, another group of trash, boss, puzzle, a bit more trash + generators, endboss and then maybe bonus-objectives.

I actually like the fact you can get rare skins you can sell for a ton of money. Can agree with the unskippable cutscenes and the fact they replaced TAFU though.

I’m having my fun. Setting the game up can prove to be a bit difficult, but other than that… Most english players flocked to ship 2, so in case you want to start, go there. Jiyn and I are on ship 2 too.

Bosses are extremely well designed from what I’ve seen and are fun to fight; you can either group up with other players or take bots with you, or go on your own.

I can tell you a bit more later if you want, fractals time now.
