They aren’t not living world content you kitten. They are for people who like grouped PvE. Living world should not be a requirement to do dungeons, or WvW, or PvP, or factals of the mist.

None of the last umpteen months of living world content requires this and now suddenly we are being forced into group PvE to do living world content.

I like to think The Lost Shores and Fractured were very well Living World releases.
Hey, there were also the Molten Facility and the Aetherblade hideout which were quite difficult when doing them the first time, those were also grouped PvE-content for Living World and offered special rewards and achievements… huh.

I just can’t stand people QQing about things that are not worth QQing. Either you do those 5 runs and be done with it or you leave it be. Not everything can be acquired in a way you like, that’s how an MMO works. It has to please EVERYONE, not only YOU.

From what I know the bug changed into the different direction; you’re now able to skip the step, but you won’t unlock the cultivated vine once you get Mawdrey and you’d need to get another mysterious seed and make a mysterious vine out of it.

Because that is an actual problem. If you’re required to do broken content that regularly just goes “Hey, guess what? You just wasted an hour with nothing to show for it!”, that’s worth Q_Qing about.

But yeah. kittenes just need to get up and run some fractals.

Buuut at least you can prevent that bug from happening – most of the time. It is bad though, yes.

Whatever you get first.
If you run your daily every day, you’ll have 10 pristine relics once you finish 10 for the first time, enough for an ascended ring of your choice. That’ll be five AR. From that point on, it depends on your RNG and when you have enough for an ascended backpiece.
If you have 30 laurels (or 20+250 Badges of Honor) get an ascended amulet, put a versatile simple infusion into that one. If you have guild commendations, use those for ascended accessories and put a versatile simple infusione into them.

If you had a nice weapon/armor chest drop, use that one etc.

The only things you can infuse are rings and backpieces, everything else can’t be infused as of now.

Also, just for remembering which level requires which amount of AR: Level 10 requires 10AR, then it goes up by 15AR every 10 levels.

This fight isn’t so much difficult as once again, like Rytlock Ritual one, terribly annoying. Soooo over done with condi dmg, K.D’s, AoE’s that cover the entire room, giving u no time at all to recover and allow your skills and endurance to recharge. The camera plays awful in there as well, which only adds more annoyance to the whole encounter.

Wat? There’s almost no condi-dmg. There’s almost no CC and for the CC which is there you can use stability. There’s ONE AoE that actually covers the entire room and you can jump to evade it – you don’t even have to waste endurance. It’s a boss fight, you shouldn’t have a chance to recover – resource management is the key, don’t waste your cooldowns.
Can agree with the camera though.

Well my first experience of FotM. Did first fractal ok apart from dying on the boss at the end but second one one player spent half an hour trying and failing to get past some gusts of wind. Eventually got past that then she lost the hammer or whatever we were supposed to have with us and rage quit. She apparently was the leader and kicked the whole group back to Lion’s Arch.

Time taken: 1 hour 15mins
Progress towards backpiece: Not a sausage

How often do I have to repeat myself? Open a thread where you search for likeminded players. Seeing that there are multiple people in the same position as you I’m sure you can find 4 others which will allow you to get through there without ragequitting idiots.

Also, as a tip, you really don’t want to let the hammer fall down right now. Stability helps against getting blown down.

Which they should never have or at least made every kind of ascended gear available in fractals (because that’s the only thing you really need it for) but they didn’t.

It makes me really sad that people QQ over this. Guess what, they could’ve made the amount much higher, they could’ve forced you to get something RNG-related out of fractals but hey, it will take you five runs over the course of five days on a difficulty that makes it easier than cof p1.

Everything can be reached in a different way, and it’s good like this. If you don’t like it, bad luck. The game doesn’t cater around YOU, it caters around EVERYONE. Someone who only plays PvE may want the Balthasar backpiece. So he either plays sPvP or he does not. His choice.

This has nothing to do with “play how I want” but “play what I want” if at all.

Also, the tip with opening a thread specifically for lv1 fracs with people who are in the same position (never done fracs, just want the 5 relics) still stands because I’m sure, even without knowing the fractals, you can get those 5 runs down in a reasonable amount of time on level 1.

I can’t answer that but I am surprised it worked at all in the story instances. The mobs in there don’t trigger Renewed Justice for example, so I presumed no “on kill” triggers would work on them.

Hm, now that you mention it I believe they actually triggered it. That was something that kittened me off starting with the first release of LS2.

FYI, FotM was released as part of the living story, even it wasn’t called like this back then. It also got “overhauled” as part of the living story, so it very well is a part of it.

Don’t want to do FotM? That’s fine, you don’t get the backpiece then.
Everyone who wants a legendary has to go into wvw for badges and exploration too, I don’t like that as I despise WvW immensely. Especially map exploration in wvw can take FOREVER. Do I complain? No.
Sometimes you have to do content you never really explored/don’t like to get some skins. It’s okay this way.

Seeing that SO many people are kittened off, how about you create a thread where people who never did fractals/don’t like them find likeminded players (or even someone who’d pull you through) to do those 5 runs with? Especially fractal level 1 is easier than every dungeon. It even has some nice lore here and there.

I’m pretty sure like every class besides ranger and necro has it easy for that last skip if you come properly prepared.

Its faceroll on a ranger.

Necro has to blow a 180 second cooldown skill.

Both death shroud traits will give you 3s stability on 7s cooldown. if you need more about 4s stability by putting 6 in death magic. More than enough to easily skip

Probably need to purposefully get in combat to proc some energy sigils though

NP, another tip is to bring Well of power for emergency stunbreak. It has 1s stability so if you get caught by technicians w/o stab DS on cd, you have time to Plague after you break the stun to escape.

Good tips. You can also blind with well of darkness so deadeyes miss you. I guessed traiting DS would work but never tested it because the last time i did p2 on necro without a thief was before the feature patch. lel

Even so necro is probably the hardest class to do the skip on. Simply because of how slow you are and you are pretty much guaranteed to be put in combat and forced to use cooldowns etc.

No argument here, necro is Hardmode when pugging/solo’ing.

Well now that’s not true, they do hit harder. If you’re berserker and not on warrior/necro that is. But even then getting stupidly hit by the stomp would take 1/3 of your life away.

That doesn’t mean the fight is too hard though, it’s very doable and allows for mistakes.

I’d like to see a working safety net for not falling down though, I think I fell down twice and both times dropped to the lower level where I was able to run around.

OP, sorry that you’re getting so much snark out of this post. You’ve just touched a nerve without realizing it — the regulars in this forum have been waiting for a long, long time (I guess we can say “years” now…) for some serious attention to be given to the dungeons in the game, but it’s really looking like it won’t happen.

When they do step in to “fix” something, we get bullkitten like broken Alphard for 8 months, spider queen doing ranged attacks in melee range, unblockable projectiles at malrona, invisible walls because “sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell”, etc etc.

The general consensus is that ANet has disbanded the dungeon team (we haven’t had a relevant red post in here for over a year and a half) and is pushing the handful of people they haven’t laid off to work only on Living Story and Gem Store content.

We’re tired of it. We’ve been hoping for some attention for a while, but have given up, and are a little bitter about it. We’ve invested a lot of time (and some of us, money) in this game, and now the one part of it we really enjoy is being completely ignored.

Just felt like you deserved a bit of background to explain the snark :-) We’re just bitter, awful people. And it’s 100% ANet’s fault :-P

I haven’t noticed any P2W nor have I felt anything like a pay wall, but I don’t know Japanese. I’d ask the psoworld forums or reddit. I can’t check due to an ISP block.

Not that I heard. People thought they were because of the DDoS attack, but it seems to be that Sega combated the attack by having ISP’s block PSO2 instead. They didn’t feel incline to give those ISP’s the all clear afterwards is what I’ve been hearing. So if you can’t connect to their server, it’s likely because of your own ISP.

Ahh… okay. Thanks for the information. Guess I’ll download it overnight and hope for the best. Seems like an interesting game.
