It isn’t bugged, the range of the attack was reduced.
You’re talking about different things.
Since the last patch or so it can happen that if the hammer falls down, you can’t get it back. If your group wipes and respawns simultaneously, the hammer will spawn for a splitsecond and then despawn, leaving you unable to finish the fractal.
i just wish they would fix the hammer bug in fotm cliffside fractal, i was in a group today where they weren’t experienced so they left and i got kicked out even though i entered the dungeon…
Losing progress/resetting progress is part of fractals, that’s basic fractal knowledge.
Fix will come whenever… However I hope it gets fixed on Tuesday.
What did i miss? :C
A wonderfully structured post which made 100% sense and we all were able to agree with.
People who want urban battleground obviously never did it when fotm 80 was open. Atherblade is pretty easy now, but once they open up higher levels it will be really hard.
Basically any fractal with lots of trash mobs becomes insanely hard at 70+.
So what’s the difference? We can’t run 80 anyway and up to 49 (didn’t bother to run 50 yet, cba to get ascended armor), urban battlegrounds is pretty easy and more importantly, less annoying than snowblind.
farnaz? O.o
Yep.
//oh I just saw why it was censored. The word after “Farnaz” was “is”. Go figure.
I’m [Mind Wrack]ing trying to figure out what just got kitkat’d there…
That’s more or less what I was trying, but I need to fail a few more times to learn the timings/patterns, I think. That, and I seem to panic occasionally and forget that dodging procs confusion damage >.<
At least it’s easy to rally off her clones/illusions
Take the first and fourth letter of my username, add an z.
Why is it so difficult to find a dungeon group for AC as a lv65. Godkitten Pugs, so toxic.
Managed to solo him last night \o/ EZPZ with the long bow traits. I went 6/0/4/4/0 and the extra healing let me completely ignore the poison. Good stuff. Now to figure out lyssa
Most annoying thing for me now are the kitten ed roots — they seem to prevent autoattack from working >.<
You mention a faster warr DPS tactic — does it still use longbow?
Farkittens “kite her around the statue, LoS her clones when they appear, 100b and then shake it off, repeat”. At least that’s what worked for me.
//They did not just censore that.
I just read the verbal diarrhoea in that thread. I need counselling, somebody hold me I can’t stop shaking. Like where do I even begin? How does one begin at potato?
Did you get to see the deleted thread? Dunno if anyone screencap’d it, lol.
Good stuff.
Inb4 he makes another thread about his deleted thread. The cycle continues!
The vicious cycle of VideogamerMike?
Swamp > Urban Battleground > Aetherblade > Duo > Goodbye challenge.
ftfy.
I got your XP, sorry!
What…how?!? When I bought this game they said there would be no KSing and that everyone that contributed would be rewarded. Time to up the Q.Q
I am terribly sorry! I sent your part of the XP on the way, it’ll take three days for them to arrive though!
I got your XP, sorry!
It’s fine in lower level dungeons and on easier paths. Ever so often two people want to swap out simultaneously, which hasn’t been much of a problem either.
One guy wanted to swap in CoE though, we did okay without him but the group wasn’t too pleased. I was just amazed that he ran a level 20ish toon all the way down to Mount Maelstrom.
He could have simply used a twisted watchwork portal device.
Please. They were my favorite part. They literally made Laurent the coolest boss in the whole game for me. There is an amazing thrill when you go to pull and three hammer wardens come flying at you. You have to know exactly when to dodge. You also have to spike them down quick before they annihilate your team. Please bring them back. They were the reason I made my Sylvari Warrior the way I did.
Sadly they will never come back… I really liked them too.
Don’t you live in NY? I thought doughnuts were some kind of breakfast over there.
I’m nearish Boston but the real issue is fresh made warm doughnuts. The only place I’ve ever found them was Nantucket at the Doughny Flake.
I’ll be visiting boston too! Any nice hotels there? Saved up the Doughnut tip.
There’s a billion hotels. Idk, I’d just stay at my grandmas. Lol
Make sure you go to the Boston museum of science. They have the largest van de graaff generator in the world and awesome musical tesla coils!
Musical… tesla coils… Just when you thought you heard everything.
If you haven’t heard of those yet you’re leading a very unenriched life. YouTube them!
I already did before writing that post!

Wow so many people just got trolled. Does no one pay attention to the names on the posts anymore?
Everyone should know by now that most people here only read what they want.
Wait….what? The Spider queen is OP and needs a nerf? I thought that all the bosses were too easy and needed an upgrade?
I’m calling troll on this one. Either that or the group the OP was with either didn’t know the mechanics, had 0 DPS or were AFK. Its not too hard, just takes a bit more skill then stacking in a corner and spamming 1,2,3,4,5….
Nooooo, spider queen is too hard. I had my team wipe on it recently, true story brah.
The only times I’ve wiped are with inexperienced pugs or AFKers. I am ok with inexperienced pugs, they gotta learn somehow, but AFKers? Not so much.
How? Just how?
We just had three dredge veterans spawn instead of one when opening the door for the control in the drill room. Didn’t even know more than one can spawn at the same time.
That talk about necromancers will better be good once they’re up for discussion.
Its actually not broken, and I see it being done all the time, though I do admit, the spider queen is kinda OP for an “introductory” level dungeon.
And lets not point fingers at zerker or pugs…When i run with my group, we apply the zerker speed tactics.
And when I run with pugs I do it their way which is generally fighting her in the room with everyone all over the place :PThat “zerker” is an idiot thinking that stacking works like before. Stacking now is entering a DPS race with the boss. If the group does not have the DPS, they will die. Even zerker groups ca get screwed if not done right. Now that guy is either disconnected from the reality that they fixed the stacking spot (that caused the spider to not cast her AoE) or well pure idiot :P
With these kinds of patches they add posts to the main patch. Check Game Update Notes – July 29, 2014 last post
Yep, the last post was five days ago though.
All that changed is that now Kohler now triggers three PBAoE explosions immediately after his spin/pull, and shoots out bouncing blue spherical projectiles. Both attacks oneshot.
He also drops Shards of Zhaitan.
Huh. One would think he drops Symbols of Koda now to make up for the troll dropping ascalonian tears.
How big of a patch?
A rather small one. I assume those were so minor bugfixes or something ANet rather doesn’t want to have in their patchnotes.
So there was a patch… but no patchnotes. What did they do to dungeons this time?
Ham and chicken
The most 4-swarm spawns I’ve gotten consecutively was four back to back, but I’ve had dozens and dozens of Lupicus phase 1’s where every single Roar attack was at minimum 2 swarms and a few times where I’ve gotten 3 minimally.
By the way on my warrior trial for rT, I had three back to back 4-swarm spawns, all before the phase 1>2 transition for the solo. I ragequit and relogged, lmao.
Ha, my record is 5x four swarms in a row! I don’t even solo that often, which makes it even more sad I guess.
So… just to make it clear. We just started competing who has the worst luck here?
Meanwhile, I have a streak of 13 (and going) runs without any daily drops at the end , thus beating my old streak of 12.
Blessed be RNG, blessed be fractals.
You haven’t suffered until you’ve firsthand experienced my not-getting-swamp streak of mother f***ing 74 times back to back when rolling for a level 40 run.
Also can’t forget the time I had wraithlord autoattack me 13 times in phase 3 before doing his breath blast, or the time I was triple kicked by Lupicus.
-cries irl and buys magic find boosters from gem store- SAVE ME ANET
Had the triple kick too and I remember having a very long streak of not getting swamp… But I doubt it was 74 kittening times. Guess RNG hates us.

Is this the famous one?
Isn’t the famous one Lv84?
Anet likes to “fix” things which don’t need to be fixed while ignoring actual bugs.
As for Malrona… Guess they thought “oh hey, the poison amplifies damage… the reflect of her other skill pretty much kills her afterwards. We could give her more skills… Nah, lets just make the projectiles unreflectable without telling anyone.”
Since the suggestions sub forum is locked down, I’m posting my suggestion here. I have been exploring MMO sites when I found Guild Wars 2 in one of them. The site said it had plenty of pros and some cons. However there was one con I truly agree with. Three words: PAINFULLY DIFFICULT DUNGEONS . It’s completely true, every dungeon is like a massacre to your characters, and it’s expensive when it comes to repairing your expensively powerful armor. The dungeons have several mobs that adapt to situations as well, environmental hazards that tend to kill the whole party entirely, and some bosses that can summon entire armies to force the whole party to quit. The worst dungeon of all would be Arah because of its explore mode. There are whole hoards of risen waiting around every corner, plenty of the mid-bosses tend to adapt after every encounter, and the final boss is painfully unpredictable, the dungeon is like 95% impossible to beat in explore mode. So, that’s my suggestion, just make the dungeons a little more survivable.
Go with Spoj’s build, works best imo.
Switch out your utilities to adapt to every situation. Cliffside? D/D, maybe Corrosive Poison Cloud and when lacking blinds, Well of Darkness. Urban Battlefield? Well of Darkness and Well of Corruption. Mai Trin/Imbued Shaman? Well of Power to make something out of those nasty condition on you and your team. Aetherblade hideout Golems? How about Wells (and maybe trait for unblockable marks, but meh. Not worth it imo.)
In the end, you’ll sadly still be less useful than other classes but you can at least make the best out of it.
I feel as though it was a rush fix and not even tested before implementing… And why remove the loot from the ghosts?
Because rewards are overrated.
“I’ve got 20AP because I
ran to green dots and pressed ‘f’ a lotworked really hard in LS and PS. I evenfollow a zerg around spamming Wave of Wrathregularly battle open world bossesto make enough gold to pay someone else to run dungeons for meand earned my Dungeon Master title.I know what I’m talking about when I say my longbow does better damage against these burrows at range — I know my class, scrub! Don’t tell me how to play!"
This is exactly how I imagine some people.
Jerus, I don’t take AP as a guideline either – However below 1000 or so AP usually means that this person is genuinely new to the game. :P
As for guild hunting, if it would only be that easy…
Makes sense. I still don’t know why a lot of people who play for some time now feel attacked when you give them advice or suggest a different approach. I can just assume they think I indirectly said they’re bad players or they feel like taking advice is admitting that or whatever goes on in their heads, but for me giving and receiving advice, new tactics and tricks is simply expanding your horizon.
A lot of people feel like they’re entitled to everything lately and feel that any advice is an attack on their playstyle and knowledge/experience/whatever. I’m always up for learning new tip and tricks and new strategies for encounters. It gives me options for when plan A doesn’t function.
Which is a real shame that they think they are. I always want to cry when I see rifle camping warriors, gs camping mesmers etc., even more so when fighting Mai Trin 30+ or 40+, then complain they get wrecked and when I tell them how the encounter works and tell them skills which are useful for surviving, they often either simply do not acknowledge and and keep going or start to call me a nub who doesn’t even know how to play (which is kinda funny I guess).
Sadly I’m kinda dependent on pugs.

I just had 4 first timers for TA story which all had less than 1k AP. They managed to play better than a lot of “experienced” players, understood how to blast fields without having me telling them and went full melee except for the S/D ele.
How is this even possible? kittening pugs, how do they work? I mean I’m not complaining about those guys, but you’d expect it to be the opposite.
Waiting for necro meta
…which will probably never happen. Sadly.
Also yeah, outfitting multiple alts is a pain… I have 12, working on my 13th. Even if I “only” gave one of each class full ascended I’d be busy until gw3 is out.
Why not?
He checked his skill bar. He had a skill called “kick” and he didn’t have a skill called “answer”.
Stop… stop! I don’t want it to be true. I don’t want to believe pugs are THAT stupid, even though I know they are.
I have money but I don’t know what to invest in for upcoming legendaries what do I do O_O
Start controlling the quaggan backpack market. One can never have enough quaggan backpacks.
Yes you can. If you have no quaggan backpacks, you have enough quaggan backpacks.
Perhaps he thought you asked his utilities.
I really doubt it, that would make no sense.
Omfg the sound…
Just coming out of SE pt1 “ZERK WARR/ELE/GUARD” party. Decided to pug a dungeon for dem lulz
I hop on the party on my warrior saying I will switch to my ele since there are 2 warriors already. The guardian starts crying to be fast and all that … hmm .. okay.
They were are Nook already, so we just finished him off and proceeded to the golems. As a person who’s been playing his warr mainly in the past few days, I totally forget about fgs. 2 guys get downed but all the golems die anyway.
Guardian: No fgs? Gj ele.
Me: I’m sorry, I’ve been playing my warr lately, totally forgot.
Guardian: fgs is all eles are worth
Me: I beg to differWe get to the last boss and this is when I notice that WE HAVE A BLOODY “ZERK” GUARDIAN USING A STAFF AS MAIN WEAPON! The same guy who was just complaining about my mistake with the fgs was just staffing the kitten out of the boss and couldn’t even care less about swapping to another weapon.
Faith in pugz: destroyed. Back to guildies.
Wait you had faith in pugs?
I’m trying to be kazul.
There is no reason to ever have faith in pugs.
Believe me, I’ve seen some kitten…
