I don’t have a problem with it, I don’t recall getting hit by it once due to inability to mitigate it like dodging it. But people seem to have a major issue with it…

So I’d say 4: Increase cast time (1 sec?) Since so many people can’t dodge it…
And alter the animation so its not hidden when wielding legendary rifle, whether genuine animation change or, as I’d prefer, another unique animation for legendary rifle so it doesn’t blend in with the normal aura (I think it does atleast).

But imo cast time shouldn’t increase at all, only make it more visible when using legendary rifle. But ppl QQ about it being “unavoidable” lmao.

Story is as follows:

I wanted to test gs sword/shield (base warrior) so joined a hotjoin to test it. I did 2v1 vs angvl and another one of his first thing when I joined. He got super kitten and all he did from then on was to tryhard kill me for about 20 more hotjoin matches to follow. He did not manage once, even with the tryhard go spectator for autobalance and then join again to have a team with more players so he could gank gank gank, still couldn’t kill me. He ran cele condi, still couldn’t manage to kill me once, he just kept dying as soon as it was 1v1 or 2v1 (him ganking). Quite sad honestly. Atleast he tried.

The direction if whirlwind is based on a straught line between u and the surface that your cursor is pointing at. If the cursor is in the sky and there’s no surface, it has no direction.

Okay evaluate, give some advice and a build and i’m happy.

Use Hydromancy on your shiled axe set and not on your GS. Clears the blind on swap and chills so you can land evicerate. You were smart to use this sigil btw, just put it on the wrong weapon.

Lyssa is a bad rune. As many other have said. You don’t really need the precision and 5% condi duration scales terribly, not that you are doing any conditions besides cripple anyways.

I really think that berserker flavor of this build is superior. You take CI adn give up nothing by using eternal champion. Eternal Champion is way better than last stand. You take DOTE but give up nothing since you can spam CI in berserk mode which better than brawlers.

I can give you a link to the build I use in PVP. This would eliminate problems with conditions since you can spam burstskills which in turn spams CI. You don’t need to take hiegtned focous for quickness since you already get it from zerk mode.
’Ignore the hoelbrak runes. Pck, Str, hoelbrak, and any power based rune pretty much works. Just not lyssa:P

You do give up a little damage however I personally feel that is not your biggest problem as a warrior when you are running full zerker gear. your sustain is..

He should not neccessarily use hydromancy on axe… But on greatsword imo. It clears blind anyways btw. If it’s on gs and preferably with energy aswell. This provides situations with free dodge into enemy and weapon swap, back endurance and hydromancy and if he or she doesn’t dodge, reckless dodge. If he or she dodges, u get a free timed whirl after the dodge roll. And if he or she doesn’t dodges he/she will anticipating a whirl as 95% of warrs will do in that situations. So just auto/arcing until the dodge then instantly stow to interupt any interference causing delay on whirl (I hate when that happens) and whirl timed to hit as the dodge ends. The sheer fact that its a hydromancy aswell can either through 100b force dodge cuz can’t walk out with chill, if u now were to decide to do that. Or just by itself cuz everyone hates being close to warr, and worse with chill and 0 cd’s in gs. I.e they will almost always insta dodge giving u easy whirl or arcing if u’d like.
I know that he has and me too used to run hydromancy on axe, I thought; hydromancy and auto until dodge into instant evis so it times when dodge ends. But it Really isn’t the same thing. He even uses hydromancy on axe in one of the clips. And it’s all personal preferences too! so no reason to say he’s building wrong. Especially since he also said in a post prior to yours’ he’s messing around with stuff for his build. And whether or not his choice is what would be his mlg proleague choice, is irrelevant to the fact stating wrong building is in your favor.

And as I mentioned, he’s messing around with his build, ESPECIALLY – noted – with lyssa runes, he wouldn’t normally run it and he knows it. And besides, lyssa runes isn’t all that bad, it has some nice control through big condi clear – conversion to boons in fact! Hoelbraek runes is pretty meh atm. Condi so overtuned, if u in any ways get the conditions to actually go away, for the bonus to go into effect. You’re already dead from condis anyways, for most situations, i.e worse version than strength.

Cleansing ire is overrated imo. Any situation that u need to clear condis by hitting your F1 – gl cuz your desire to cleanse condis means struggle to hit in the first place unless you have longbow. And yes it can be really nice (cleansing ire) and has its merits, but I think that slot is better invested in last stand.

Wich means warrior and thieves are actually balanced in the sense they are the strength they “should” be, while the op ones have broken elite specs where u essentially have to play them. Yes warrior has quite a simplistic design, wich makes it all the more hard and skill demanding to manage in high skill play. I.e requiring alot more skill to make something “extraordinary” from this simplistic design.

Sorry dude but war is definitely not high skill ceiling. That is on the thief and engi. Warrior is too simplistic (as stated by bLind) to have a high skill ceiling. Please, don’t try to feed people the idea that warrior is high skill ceiling. Cause I’m pretty sure at this point that it’s the low skill ceiling that’s forced them out of the meta.

Many people tend to think warrior is skillles because they try it out and reside at the skill floor, and cant progress, making themselves the disservice of thinking they’re at this seemingly low skill cap. I’ll adress this later on.

What makes warrior more skill based is that its 50% based on movement. With no port or stealth and only meele, (yes i exclude killkitten and longbow cuz lame and admittedly less skill based due to range). Rsnge is generally less skill and provides for the current ability wars we see with many other classes that us genuinly less skilled.

Skill cap or skill ceumiling is undefined and unreachable, and warrior has high skill ceiling because of the reason u think its low. A warrior will get much lower performance ‘reward’ for each skill step they make, and making it hard to climb it. And as i stated with movement, the skill can increase in a much broader sense. Warrior cant have a low skill ceiling if nobody can be there, its about how hard it is to get there, to become greater than the reså and can be donenin many different ways that means its high!

I know u stated at first against me, and will thusly probably do so again even if u know otherwise. And if so ill just ignore you, because this is reason i tend to avoid the forums, people wont realize, being stubborn and cant be reasoned with. But if u wont i will only resoect u, so theres no reason to lie to yourself.

The dmg modifier also applies to the ability (f1) that grants the buff. So if u have no berserker’s power buff up, and use killshot or gunflame or whatever to get it, that one ability will also be more dmg from that trait/buff

GS1: it doesn’t have highest dps I know, but it’s the most effective autoattack for warr, mainly by the fact u think it’s unsignificant + if u use it right free whirl hit.

GS2: 100b is fine. It’s good that u get rooted for a high reward, allows for more than stat wars 2, alot of positioning. And NO it should NOT be mobile with 25% dmg, let’s just auto them instead then! I’d like to think of it as a hit that does often atleast 5k dmg, and -50 endurance on the enemy. Or it will do that sweet 15-20k cone cleave on a downed and ppl ressing for example. It’s not underwhelming. Greatsword primary dmg abilities are whirl and arcing slice.

GS4: Good dmg, sure if u compare to other stuff it’s not very strong, but thats because all warrior abilities have high dmg anyways, wich is then compensated by not frequently like others, be able to hit them. But this one can hit, it’s range, kite often irrelevant wich is wat neglects other warr dmg. Besides it hits twice and nice cripple. Detarget and aim it and it’s often ez hit

1) Well, non team fight setting is generally 1v1 for me, I either roam in team or search duels. Defy pain is not only lame and passive, but fighting as and vs warr is pretty much a fight of control imo, if u go below 25% u’ve pretty much lost anyways and it only makes him kite you, it often doesn’t even help you alot because u can’t control it’s presence, like another warr’s eviscerate. Most situations in wich defy pain will gain you “time to kill before you die” you would already have killed him or her before u get to that situation or just genuinly higher preassure. Preassure is your greatest defense imo.

2) Quickness is just too good. Frequent and short bursts of quickness is very useful because u can get alot of value before they may try and kite to negate the buff. Anyways, burst mastery isn’t very good imo, the bonus adrenaline isn’t always that useful, imo, u should NEVER wait to use your burst skill, because u want another bar of adrenaline, 1 bar is just fine. For example arcing slice does same dmg anyways, only slight fury increase that u can anyways maintain with the 5 sec (1 almost each 7-8 sec) and signet. And evis does just slightly more dmg, evis is also mainly a dodge bait or just hit if they actually don’t, auto with HEIGHTENED FOCUS is better imo. The only reason i would run burst mastery would be for more cleansing ire condi cleanse for control, but, not only unreliable most of the time, but I don’t run cleansing ire, except in warr vs warr in wich condi cleanse is unessecary. (only run cleansing ire in warr v warr cuz everything else is lame in it).

we have the most balanced game atm we ever had so far since every other classes are viable in competitive teams. you see no “must have” class stacking and every team runs a different comp. so pls don’t say the elite specs would be all “op” , it’s just the warrior who is up. fix warrior and thief and we have a super balanced meta with every class being perfectly viable in competitive plays.

The thing is, from my epxerience, that for all theese classes (except warrior, thief and perhaps ele) running the elite specialization superior to not running the elite spec, and thusly overly powered, and ‘op’. Even if compared to other elite specs, when comparing to the core class, it’s much stronger. Thusly elite specializations have gotten the term of OP, even if it’s balance among the ‘op’. If u know what I mean, dunno how to explain what I think xdd
