If you go back and watch the ESL, tarcis lost a 1 vs 1 to phanta on druid. A good rev can take on any 1 vs 1 and stalemate for a long time. Rev has been the hard counter to DH in 1 vs 1 and warriors as well. Rev is the jack of all trades class right now capable of anything so saying its role isnt 1 vs 1 is a bit off.

Any team would use more than 1 rev given no class stacking. A rev doing 1v1’s is a waste of your rev, hence not it’s role.

Also; rev does not counter dragon hunter.

Give me one good reason why to not include how many people voted? Well the only reason it has gotten to this point is no soloq along with alout of other reasons that should be included in this poll. This one either. people blocking other people does look like a good idea at first to try and eliminate trolls, afks and all that. I dont think many ppl especially at Blizzard expected it to be used to block players because of skill. It just seems obvious now that it happened.

Of course it’s possible. But it’s hard countered by rev.

Just make sure to get adrenal health and you can afford damage trades, despite loosing them, due to the superior regen.

Another thing to keep in mind is that revs (invo) tend to have 2 consecutive stunbreaks – legend swap + the roll/blind facet (if you wait until right after they swap legend they only have 1, possibly 2 if it’s shiro they swapped to). If you play with taunt, (and axe shield) you’ve 3 cc’s. Stun → stunbreak – stun → stunbreak → stun → rip? Or if they as I said just swapped to (preferably glint) they’ve only 1 stunbreak and only 2 cc’s will do. Stun → stunbreak → stun → rip?

Assuming cc chain is not opportune, use taunt to interupt unrelenting assault, also best way to START the cc chain if it is indeed opportune.
Never double dodge unrelenting assault unless it’ll kill you.

The common thing is that in all skill based games, players with top skill cap are a very small % of entire population. So let’s assume that 80% of players are so called “bad”, 15% decent and 5% good. If a particular class design creates significant problem for those “bads”, it directly affects 80% of your game population. There is a reason that “pub stompers” are so popular in most PvP based games. This is the same reason why nowadays I see 2-3 DH in most conquest teams in GW2. Perhaps they loose their viability in top tiers of play, I don’t know. But this does not change the fact that they are an issue for all “bads” and thus for the majority of game population.

unfortunately Obindo, it is a new issue. if they changed it to not proc Rousing Resilience they changed it recently without putting it in the patch notes. before the AH change RR was my main heal and Headbut to break stun+Enter Bersrerk to break self stun was actually my favorite heal combo. I’m okay with it not procing RR though, as Elites are powerful enough. just saying it’s not SUPPOSED to be that way.

Landing rifle butt is purely a l2p issue. If you stick with the weapon you’ll get the hang of it through use. Then you’ll love it. It’s one of my fav knockbacks in the game and I love that it’s there on the rifle bar.

The same goes for the evade. Also a l2p issue. Having come from Mesmer where numerous skills required you to be facing your opponent, and the movement buttons can cancel your own cast, it’s just a matter of adjusting your mind mechanically.

Are there QoL changes that could/should be made? Yes. But until the day that happens, you’re just going to have to git gud.

L2p issue? uhm sorry but i play this game 4 years now only on warrior and i know how rifle works, sure i can land the rifle butt and sure i know when to cast it..

But is it a great interrupt? No
Its cast time is too long to setup as a melee interrupt (no problem vs static ppl that are rezzing or something) but try landing rifle butt vs thiefs or rangers that swoop around you, it will fail ALLOT. it does help to not use your movement keys (same for #4)

But by all means, that doesnt mean its great, most melee interrupt skills are much faster or even have a leap on it.. this skill does not while its a Melee interrupt skill on a ranged weapon. and when looking at the tooltip it should be fast (1/4)

Some CC skills are slow like hammer, but thats because you can chain CC with those weapons, other weapons that only have 1 or 2 CC skills are often much faster or more range because its used to interrupt, not to chain CC, and for that reason i find rifle butt slow on melee 130 range skill

The use of rifle butt is not to interrupt, but to increase the gap, hence a knockback and not a daze/stun/knockdown. It would be a bad idea to use your rifle to trade dmg with a melee. I don’t see the problem with hitting it, it works like any other cleave as long as u have any sense of control over ur mouse it’s np, you don’t even have to target.

As for #4, if you struggle with it you can just untarget and retarget and it will always get the dodge roll and the immobolize as well unless you manage to somehow be turned away from the target despite a brief jump of gap where u can turn and target at the last moment. Especially useful for when u wanna kite or escape. You just turn camera, jump, right click and target nearest enemy right before it will shoot. I don’t see how people struggle maneuvering with abilities like it.

The ammount of time you’ve played is not proportional to your skill lvl, it’s a prerequisite.

DH does not need a nerf.

I don’t think so. You remember when Headbutt would trigger Distracting Strikes on yourself? Or that it does not currently work well with the runes of the Krait? This shows the skill is coded in a strange way (the self-stun part being non standard), trying to reuse common parts, then overriding manually for each skill interaction. To me, they’re just missing some.

Also, the way Last Stand is coded is bizarre, which possibly makes the interaction harder to manage. Last Stand should activate Balanced Stance after you’re controlled, to let you be interrupted – but it triggers right before it. Mix it with the self-stun part, and it’s no wonder it doesn’t work.

Well, this is just my interpretation.

A bug for something else does not change whether it’s intentional or not. And it should be like it is atm imo

I understand that my effective level is brought up to 80 as an under 80 character but what about gear and gear upgrades?

I am a level 21 right now. Would it make any difference if I was an actual level 80? I’m thinking it wouldn’t make a difference but thought I’d ask. I’m really enjoying the pvp and just happy to slowly level my character that way instead of questing up to 80.

As long as you have actual pieces of gear slotted into the slots (excluding trinkets, doesn’t matter if you have any trinkets equipped or not), the only relevant thing for stats and customization is the pvp build panel (and weapon type, like gs or hammer, but that’s integrated into the pvp panel).

I only want red/blue score and base position on map to both be either right/left. Like so that red base is left side of map and the red score up top also is left.

That you suggest to be surprised or find it hilarious/stupid to not be winning despite having higher personal score would indeed mean what I said. Also, how do I not know how to spell?

I had a couple matches where MY TEAM WON despite having a much lower personal score. I know what happened and why we won. We took points and held them while the other team was zerging us…

Donno is a contracted word meaning don’t know it’s not my problem if you can’t comprehend it. Why don’t you go ahead and tell people they don’t know how to spell because “ok” is not a word, when they say “ok”, or “ye” or “ait”. This build is not new – Drazeh of TCG ran it in the Finals. A tanky bruiser that can sustain 1v1’s and 1v2’s and is ideal for setting up +1 scenarios and basically being another pillar of the team that can contest a point while having a surprisingly good amount of hybrid pressure. I’ve had a ton of fun with it thus far and thought I’d throw it out here again.

Hybrid GS/Mace+Shield

Some tips:

-Weapon swap into Mace+Shield when you feel you can land geomancy+doom, especially against DH’s. It’s an important piece of pressure.
-Autoattack with Mace; getting the weakness is important for sustain and denying endurance.
-The build allows you to shift into being sort of more aggressive or defensive. Play with sustain in mind when you need too.

This is not what drazeh ran in the finals.
