Excellent post Msalakka. All these automated stuff and no dolyaks required to upgrade basicly killed it too for me. Before i was 99% being found on home bdl upgrading – running dolyaks – keep camps safe/reflip them, tell other people to do the same. Scouting/sieging(refreshing) etc. But now its just all automatic so yeah, the gameplay i had for over 2.5 years right out the window and that just for 45 euro.

I had a few drops since HoT, however they were all grey and labeled as Broken Spoon. Perhaps its no longer available?

Don’t hold your breath on massive changes. It took 18months to “fix” party options in the original and i think same will be true to the dailies as its 2 weeks and still not being fixed/removed.

Want a reply of them? Simply make a over positive post how awesome this mode is and you’re set. This company cant and is not willing to deal with ( negative ) constructive feedback.

You would be back complaining that the system is boring after a week as “Hi, I want the next upgrade” isn’t more exciting than saying nothing.

Edit: So maybe a better system whould be a bit more complex and maybe even rely more on yaks. But I haven’t yet sat in a tower and watched it upgrade, so I don’t really know what difference yaks currently make.

Auto upgrades will just encourage lazy play. Right now its “cap and leave, it will upgrade anyway”. In the past enemies tried to upgrade keeps/towers in our home borderland but to do so they needed to stay and do it. A nice perspective for home border defenders to go there as they know theres something to fight there.

They changed it from the old system because they were demanded to do so by posters here. Before, it could be trolled by supply trolls.

I am not certain why so many posters are in favor of a system that was heavily trolled.

Lol I’ve never seen a game where people clamor against rewards. Players have been begging for a better reward system for wvw from the start.

Weird logic you use here cause most people who played WvW the last 3 years on a daily basis never complained about the lack of rewards. They were there to have fun and fights. But keep deluding yourself its the lack of rewards that keeps this new map empty.

Solo defending can be pretty solid. But if you manage to keep 30 off on you own, well then the defending isnt “overpowered” but their lack of knowledge how to siege and protect their siege is.

Yesterday i had rapid fires on me through tier3 walls. Must be something wrong with Line Of Sight at certain spots.

In short, stop “WvW’in” in EoTM and boycott EBG for a few weeks and play the BL’s. Get use to them, learn them, and you will love them.

Except it doesnt work like that. The design of the border is fundamentally flawed and makes people not want to play there. You cant force that on people by just saying “omg just go there and play!”. Even if a border is fully topped up and queued on all sides it will still have the exact same flaws. It doesnt get any better than it already is by dumping more players on it.

Exactly. To me the auto upgrade system is what sucks the fun out of it, not so much the terrain. Its rather easy to get used to it which im doing now.

That does not justify projectiles and such going THROUGH the walls. Ofcourse you need to get of it and push but this is not something that should be around.

Bumping this back to front page simply to ask the ETA on a fix on these. Is it really that hard to change/remove these?? Or will it take just as long it took you guys to fix party options in wvw. (18months)

Yea the completely automatic upgrades is one of the major things that ticks me off too. Add in some human interaction to get it going and i might change my opinion a bit. Sad to see this once great mode turned into this kitten hole in one go.

Some human element for upgrading would fit right in. Like talking to a npc to make the next upgrade going. So if one side does not do that it wont get upgraded. No pain no gain method.

Don’t worry first thing first, like harvesting nodes nerf. Removing these 2 is way to much to handle for the monkey at the wvw office.

I have seen complaint posts about some beta notifications on the load screen, does that make it relevant to any other complain post? I complain about wvw cause i care about it, something Anet cleary does not.

I am slowly starting to lose my interest in this mode aswell most of my guildies. You can throw rares and exos over to us as reward but that wont change it at all. This map is a complete disaster and yeah you can tell me get used to it but all this automated bullcrap without human interaction is something i will never get used to. Unless im doing pve but thats supposed to be AI fighting all over.

Yea these nodes really concerned the majority of wvw players. Or should i say the remaining part of the wvw players?

Great idea OP about the human element to start next upgrade, even if its just to tap a npc ot get it going. Would bring back some incentives to roam again.

This new map is just a joke to me. Too much automated stuff going on and also too much pve and running about. Guess imma put my priorities on pve untill a game with a similar mode like wvw comes.

I am so glad they lowered it to 250, now i can enjoy this game again and maybe get my alt an elite spec!

the description of this daily still relates the the old maps “kill veteran harpy, warg or wurm in the borderlands”. I’m betting the daily has not been updated (and was not tested) and cannot be completed on the new maps, i.e. is a bug. I killed a veteran wyvern on the new map (northeast) without getting a reward.

I had a good laugh with my guildies reading tooltip on this daily, after killing about any veteran available without completing it. Seems Anet forgot about WvW once again.

Meh, most people i know are simply grinding the new maps for masteries and hero points. Give it some time and they will flock back to WvW.

Well, as it turned out, I got all of them now, and I haven’t played for a year now. All of the new caps are pretty low imo; defend Stonemist 500 times – I was nearly at 5k. Oh well, so much for coming back to complete those…

Just toss each player x amount of tickets every week on resets as a gift for participating in WvW.

Paysafe card works to buy gems if that was your question.

Points will be reset upon release of the expansion and afaik, the guard stacks will be removed. Mercenaries are the frogs dredge and ogres in EB. Perhaps the repair and golem bankers through upgrades may count as a mercenary too.

It can get really messy idd. Especially when you run into a wvw keep and you have several “events” in top right that arent even going on but showing 99.99% completed.

I dont hang out here most of the times but when i do its great to see massive zergs running under you without them noticing you here. Could be a nice place to put a bunch of snipe rangers in there and shoot away.

Supposedly yellow dots are those that are also in your guild.

I wouldnt like to have red dots, as someone with a colour defficiency, I find the red things hard to see (eg red commander tag)

But i do have a gripe about not seeing the party member dots on the edges of the minimap anymore.

Yeah, why dont we see the dots on the edges of minimap anymore. Our guild is usually on our home borderland defending and we party up just to see where one other is. This is no longer possible, also when people in party go down the dot just vanish. Gone.

Well eotm is part of the mists so i assume it counts toward server population now.

Is this topic about eotm affecting server population status or just a complaint against the ktrains there.
