Funny they say this was a bug. Hardly anyone moaned about it and yelling at anet THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. While lots of bugs are still around that COULD USE A FIX like npc’s fighting eachother making keeps/tower go contested.
I have really tried to understand anets logic, but there seems to be no logic at all other then annoying their own playerbase over and over again.
Am afraid that EOTM will be dead soon. I have been in 6 EOTM yesterday and it was just baghunting. Within 30min our zerg went from 50 to 15. After one hour of baghunting, the tag left so anybody else.
Most people like to do the objectives of the map and when they can’t do it, they just leave. Anet did a great job on the new BL, but some people wont understand that baghunting is what killing WvW. Anyhow am only doing EOTM for dailies, since this baghunting is getting excessive.
Wait a minute, people are killing other people, in a pvp orientated map? How rude..
Open the chests, stack those heroic poofs in the bank. Then log alt, walk to vendor and spent them, there ya go soulbounded items used on another toon.
It’s funny to see some of you rally for less fights and loot… With megaserver, you’ll always have high participation rates, more battles, more defenders, more scouts, more coverage, more rewards, more xp, more fun…
You peeps don’t really think beyond the current failing systems at all… It’s a shame.
You will lose your defenders, you will lose your scouts, when there’s no team framework to work with. You need to have a reliable team that’s on the SAME map every day in order for that to function.
Without it, it’s just a big blob fight. Like pve maps.

Please explain to me how on a megaserver side with more people you would…
“Lose defenders”?
“Lose scouts”?
“Lose team framework”?
More people means more roles filled, am I right or am I wrong?
Do you all know what team speak is? Isn’t it possible to get your megaserver side coordinated through voice communication and map chat?
Getting on the same map is possible and the devs keep working on squad and guild functions. They are continuously developing systems for this stuff and looking at pushing up population caps for maps, but most of you aren’t even paying attention to things that have and are happening right under your noses.
Edit- I would also like to remind you peeps that there are 4 wvw maps that all count toward objectives. Individually and collectively there is a lot of room already on these maps, but again, the devs will look into things.
Feel free and join eotm and try to get in different instances all the time. Then count the instance people actually work together with scouts/roamers/defenders/siegers/zergers. I am sure you won’t find them much around.
Since HoT we get 10/20 badges per daily chest aaaaaand BADUM TSS an experience booster! Right when we dont have any progress towards to exp in wvw we get this. Is this intended to make us go play pve more or is the wvw dev team so incompetent to not see this kind of flaws.
It is not a hack but an in game bug that works with any targeted skill within range (most noticeable from hammer Rev skills and Ranger Longbow). Oddly attacking a tower champion on a flat surface with a ranged skill often yields Obstructed. Attacking a player through a wall AND a floor, direct hit.
Maybe this pierce through walls is to compensate those obstructed messages on flat terrain.

Ahh i always wondered if they could actually be destroyed. Never tried it myself but seeing this pic its possible.
Lucky for us wvw players they leave such bugs up till another expansion, or beyond. /phew
Im one of the leaders of an established roam/havoc/home defend guild. And getting used to terrain is one thing but we do try to roam, yet theres barely anything that fights back that is not on an AI. Get some human interaction on the upgrades ( im not asking back for the old one even though i loved it) and i am sure people will find other people to fight cause you have to be at point A to upgrade it. Right now it is cap and leave with the thought of “it upgrades anyway whether im there or not”.
Perfect idea to make wvw even more meaningless. I mean how many times did you join eotm being perfectly organized. Roamers/scouts/havoc/zergs working together to get it done? Not so much as it happend on the regular wvw maps i guess.
Put them in bank, talk to npc with an alt to spend em, there ya go, soulbound items used on another toon.
Or you can do something productive like learn the maps.
Learning to find your way around is easy peasy. Learning to deal with complete auto upgrades and cc from shrines is another,. Ofcourse the map itself is beautiful but it doesnt have a purpose to be a pvp ( wvw ) map.
I remember that too! Also a good memory of the good ole times.. Knock a keep nowadays and you wont get ANY fight out of it. Unless its EB but you have to run from a zerg then, not quite the same.
As wet as bay water i suppose. Guess new players reading posts like this might not believe it there were actually big battles going on all over the place. From roam/havoc up to zerg/blob fights. Aaahh the good ole times..

So far that’s 2 people on the thread that say they’ve been on the map when it’s been queued or closer to full. Of everyone complaining, that’s 2.
I don’t think everyone would ignore WvW if they took out EBG, by the way. And I didn’t say take it out forever, just take it out for a week to see. There’s really no harm in trying these things. People didn’t quit for golem week any quicker than they’re quitting for the current state of WvW.
If you watched a bad movie, i mean a really bad movie at home, would it be way better if you watched it in a full cinema? Yeah, i dont think so, same goes for this map. It is flawed and being there on your own or with a full queue wont make a difference.

Remember when they thought it was a good and better thing for wvw to remove white swords permanantly? Thats why i am worried when a dev says its going to be “better”.

These Mu blowouts are not really helpfull with the failure of new borderlands. Lots of people already gave up cause of that, now add this and you get even more boredom.

Yeah this could use a hotfix. Being shot through walls 3 meters thick gets old really fast.
Edit: MIght be a compensation for all the obstructed messages you get on flat terrain.
Simple fix. Make the “leave the mists” button unavailable while in combat. Same like the join guild halls one.

That is indeed a boatload considering it is WvW, usually it is a raft that just falls apart reaching its destination

Veteran Warg i found west of south camp, this one does show up as an event.
And last but not least, henry wurm east of Bay, above the ground at the sandy place.

This change would have been way better if waypoint became available at tier3, like SM.
kitten players with uber gears will still remain kitten. It’s not that you suddenly become a good player if you have good gears or a high AP. Silly people these days.
Be warned though the chests being account bound is apparently a bug. They may be changed to being soul bound. There has been a large player reaction against the possibility of this happening though so it may not.
Knowing anet and fixing bugs related to wvw its safe to say this chest will remain acc bound till next expansion.

Well to be fair you can’t even do your dalies in Wvw. Ruins master and vet slayer still can’t be bothered to be changed 17 days after it was recognized as a problem….. But then again they did say they were Wvw focused after expac so we can expect some changes soo………. Hahahahahaha T.T we are the unwanted stepchild.
They nerfed the farm nodes, thats enough updates for 2 months. Fixing dailies will be done in january, 2017

Fixing party options took them a good 18 months, quite sad for such a basic function in a MMO.
To screw wvwers over once again. Anyway the chests you get out the rank chests are acc bound, they dont stack but you can just put in bank and get the proofs on another toon you want.

When KISS left for AG, all the main wvw guilds, who have very rarely worked together before and refused to work with KISS.
ALL of them were queued up in EB just to kill KISS. Not for a very long time did GH have a 50+ man queue for a map!If that isnt drama I dont know what is

I get your frustration with it. It ruined a lot in WoW yea but thats why i said i wont have problems with it IF its personal and you cant see others nor you can link it.
Just my 2 cents.
If this meter will be completely personally as in only showing your own dps and not of someone else, why not? I used one in WoW just to see my own performance and to see if i could improve myself on certain encounters.
If it’s to the player to drive WvW why did they add so much automatic stuff ? And sentry who show ennemy on map ? They remove a lof of human interaction to add scripted AI…
They did some automatic stuff because it was overwhelmingly demanded for. Trolls building questionable siege in order to burn supply to prevent upgrades from occurring were getting bad. But they were building siege that could be argued wasn’t direct trolling.
I am a little unsure how you missed the very daily new thread about trolls, as they occurred, well, daily, because it was such a problem. This solved that. It was extensively discussed in many many threads. I am not certain how you could have missed it.
Sentry’s showing enemies on maps was also very heavily discussed and very often requested. I am not certain how you missed that either to be totally honest.
Both those additions removed many more real problems then the faux problems I see posters having to use paragraphs to try to create.
I often wonder where some of the posters who do not like it were during all of the discussion before the changes occurred. I often see many of the posters complaining, have post history displaying their support in the very aspects they complain about now. Which is really odd.
Even trolls lost their motivation so yeah in that aspect the automated upgrades is a huge success. Instead of having active gamemasters to react on all the reports they came up with this.
Maybe a chest with a chest inside that doesnt stack and gives soulbound items every 3 minutes you watch. And a map meta completion chest when you watch the whole capture of a borderland.
