Few hours before alpine being back me and some other people on our server were able to waypoint into an enemies t3 “air” Hills. The moment i wanted to take a screenie to report it it was already contested again.
Yeah an option to turn this off would be very welcome. That way people who like it can keep it on, and those who do not like it, can turn it off.

Ok we now have alpine map back, all nice and stuff. But seriously, did you really had to put tactivators in the middle so you can get stuck during evasions, was it so hard to put em on the sides??
May want to reconsider camps tactivator locations, most are placed aweful making evading a pain at times.
So can the old alpine maps hold as many players as the new maps? Or will the map queues be longer now?
That’s the 1 million dollar question. No one knows the exact numbers of players allowed. Anet never revealed that info.
When I read these reactions, it becomes crystal clear why anet usually does not announce big changes well in advance. You all are like a bunch of toddlers with zero patience. When told you are going to get something you want in the future, rationally, you should be happy. I want that and I am going to get that, so that is a good thing, right? However, whenever anet announces we are going to get a good thing in the future, so many of you scream and cry because you aren’t getting it NOW. Grow the f up.
In all fairness we were already told this exact same thing a week ago by Tyler Bearce.
Alpine Borderlands will be rotated back in with the next release (not hotfix.)

The radius/duration could be changed slightly as it is a bit much to fight against it on the other side of the map. But even then its a case of being very observant of your surroundings to spot uncloaked elements of the zerg, and placing proxies/mines in the way of that zerg (aka around ur location) so some if not most of them reveal the location when they walk by/kill the proxy.
Relying on stupid gimmicks like these are incompetent. Past has proven opposite that you do not need these to defend SM. Just get out and fight and you will see.
A lot of nostalgia bubbles will burst when alpine comes back. Yes easier to navigate but it won’t be the same as before.

Why not scrapping the useless blob guilds and make wvw purely roam/pug based.

I am actually hesistant of this feature.
I feel the same way about it like how I feel about the sentries – I understand and see the benefits, but at the same time it removes a little engagement from players to lazily automate a function. We have already had this feature since they changed guild communications – WvW server guilds that can act a liasion between other guilds and offer global WvW coms for scouts/commanders/etc.
Is team chat really a better way than that?
Spot on. We on Gunnars already have server wide chat cause of a community guild. So basicly we already have cross map chat active.
Let’s just see if A) the scoring wins on votes and B ) how they are going to "fix"it. Then it is time to go all berserk about it? We don’t know how they going to do that so ehm yea…
Can i get a siege power mastery cause my power and precision doesnt work on an arrowcart? Oh and mayb toughness too, so it lasts a bit longer in meteor showers? kthxbai.
On a real note, no thanks siege damage is already more then enough.
Its a lot better now, but it still has an annoying layout. I still hate trying to attack keeps because atm there is just to much advantage for defenders. However when I am defending I find it a lot easier then on alpine. Keep layout designs regarding defending/attacking, as well as the other additions still need to be adjusted imo.
Try to attack certain spots on walls with a few eles with meteor showers and you wont say that defenders have the advantage anymore.
OT; I like it much much better now since they changed the wp system – removed those bullcrap barricades ( those shouldnt have been there at first place but well ) – opened up some space for easier travel etc. Now they need to give towers a bit more strategic value.

What about set paths to glide on. You can only glide it when u touch a pole, jump down and you will glide automaticly to a set point. That way you cannot simply glide into towers/keeps.
I rather see duelers who know what theyre doing instead of brainless zerglings that needs to be spoonfed ALL the time.
I find the changes to borderlands massive. Opened up some cliffs/walls for easier travel. RIddance of the G-Dammed barricades – WP under t3 upgrades so whoever owns the place gets the use of it.
Alpine was a cool map but also had its flaws like this DBL
At least give it a shot now – It is not that bad as many people here on forum will tell ya.
FoW will nightcap GH to the number 1 in this match no matter how many blobs FSP throws us at prime time

18 hours of 3 servers fighting each other during the day is irrelevant, 6 hours of 1 server fighting doors and NPC during the night is a story in the same class as the Illiad.

It sounds like you’re taking some pretty inefficient paths. With the barriers gone, it shouldn’t take you half that time to get anywhere except the exact opposite corner (which should take ~3m).

That’s all HoT is. A rehash of existing gw2 content that’s exactly the same except they put up walls barricading content you originally already had access to. The people defending this are just those who were stupid enough to buy HoT. They kno deep down that it wasn’t the expansion it should have been. They just need a reason to justify the price they paid for it…this is how they do it lol.
They could put a mastery barricade over using and placing siege in the next update and HoT owners would PRAISE IT! It’s the only way they can reaffirm that they were right to buy into the expansion.

Think i read in some post it took a senior engineer about a year to get rid of culling. Now they had this marvelous idea to add it back.

I like these changes. You can go from point A to B now without all the zigzag bullcrap. Also waypoint change is amazing. Gives me the home bdl feeling back again.

I’m pretty sure the Heroics were always soul bound. Initially the chests were account bound so you could move them between toons. Then ANet made the chests soul bound.
Chests were account bound, proofs souldbound. However if you left them in your bank and moved alt to the vendor you could spend them straight from the bank. They fixed that like a month after HoT release.

Get rid of it. all it does is take people away from real wvw. eotm was brought into the game as a place to go when you’re waiting in Q and we know that’s not an issue anymore.
Get rid of real wvw. Would that make you jump into EOTM? If those people running around in eotm would be interested in real wvw, they would have already been there.

That’s the biggest annoyance. Not only being invisible but barely anything you can do to get out.
It would be easy enough to move all the camp guards closer to the center, so you’d always have to fight all of them to flip a camp. But to be clear, you guys are arguing that you want to do ‘more PvE’, which seems to go against the forum’s current agenda of ‘less PvE.’

as far as i know, it is still un evadable. same as decapitate. warriors need help i know, but now like this. even on my thief with dash i am forced in melee range to do any real dmg and can not escape it unless i use my block.
Maybe you should learn to dodge. I mean Warriors are not really used any more in WvW, unless you count gunflame.
Learn to play a thief then….
He mains a thief and he is pretty good at it..
Obviously NOT that good. Warriors have been nerfed into the ground with the Pirate Ship meta. That is why there are very few warriors in WvW now, with the nerf of stability, only seem to be Flame Gun now.
Every Profession has some weakness, that is the way GW1 was also. No one profession should be just uber over everything. Makes no sense.

Those people playing EOTM are not interested in wvw anyway. Remove it sure but you wont see an influx all of a sudden. Pretty selfish to suggest to remove it.
