And if you start fixing things: Please fix the guards atacking ANY kind of PVE stuff that keeps towers and especially the green keep contested…
On this matter, also have a look at the tengu archer that spawns inner garrison to contest it.
A dev i spoke to said they were fixing old bugs of the wvw maps and that we should wait for the mid-late of next year.
I hope that means we will get back orbs

I dont consider the upcoming upgrade change as a step in the right direction. It is more a step out of the wrong direction and still not enough. If only they put in some player interaction to turn on next tier of upgrade, then i will call it a step in the right direction.
The Alpine map had the right proportion of verticality a map needs. The new map has too much vertificality. Simple as that.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but if a guild places a tactivator like banners in an objective, you and your server needs to take that into account and adjust your strategy for engagements. They are meant to resolve blob fights and fights in general faster due to them having increased target cap. The banners introduced are one of the very few anti-stacking mechanics that Anet has thrown to us and will serve a higher purpose later in the year when more guilds have access to it. The more they are used (especially in tiers with overstacked populations), the more we’ll see a shift away from the current meta of stacking on one commander tag. Otherwise, it will be simply just be a tug of war between servers who have the most banners. Again, this is an element that requires servers to adapt to. Also, support your ppt guilds as they are the ones who focus on eliminating those nasty tactivated objectives!
Yes ok but have you actually seen the range? Last night they had our bay claimed. And the guys were having a BREAKBAR on top of their cc-condi-stability skills on the very east of oasis. There is just no way to justify this to me. Unless people like to use imbalanced cheesy stuff. Oh wait a min..
They probably going to revamp old borderlands into something we just can not imagine with their pve design mindset.
Yes another rant post of me. It is already a joke to play wvw with this class imbalance. Now fight someone miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles away from their objective claim with turtle banner and you have to deal with cc/condi spammers running around with a breakbar.
Whoever came with this idea i dont know, but i would like to have a chat with him asking if he ever plays this game himself. Outside of a blob. Aka roaming. Bet they dont even know what that means.

Yeah this is getting old very quick. Also walls are still clipping even after you tried to fix it..
So a good friend and a well known commander said he was thinking this was already enabled. Ofcourse i doubted that so me and some other people held the wvw window open while zerg vs zerg fights occurred. And what did we see? Ghost points getting added during those fights!
I know points get added for killing a dolyak/flipping a sentry but those points are 5 or something, in these zerg fights its like 3/4/7 anyway random.
So i dont have any logical explanation then ppk being enabled. Don’t believe it? Watch scores yourself while fights are going on.
The automatic upgrades are fantastic. Anytime my server faces other servers of lower ranking, we can just flip their border and leave it entirely and it’ll be T3 in no time. It’ll be funny watching the one or two scouts they have trying to keep camps flipped to prevent the auto-upgrades.
Another great thing is, we don’t really need scouts either. It takes those lower rank servers with their small groups so long to get through our T3 walls on their border that even if they make it to lord we can wp in anytime we want and snuff them out. Even if we die, just instantly respawn right next to lord, lol. It’s hilarious.
Then again if they did manage to flip it and somehow upgrade it to T3, it takes our zerg less than 6 minutes from outer gate to ring up (I’ve timed it), whereas their small groups grow white beards by the time they see a glimpse of the lord room. So no big.
Please don’t change a thing; we don’t want to have to leave people behind from our karmatrain to actually scout, siege, and guard those keeps. This is working as intended.

You guys realize that they are changing it in the beggining of January to be not auto but based on the number of dolyaks making it into the structure? This is changing, it’s not for much more than a week or two at most left.
Auto upgrade is not being disabled the dollies still run automatically, it’s just the timed upgrade being disabled. What we need is somebody to launch each tier of upgrade manually, that is stopping auto upgrade.
Very few roamers are going to sit up all night killing dollies and flipping camps to prevent their border turning to a T3 home away from home for the server with the biggest night crew. So just removing the timer will NOT stop the madness of waking up to a fully upgraded enemy occupation of your borderland.
If an enemy wants a T3 tower / keep on your border, make them work for it, not just get given it due to higher off peak numbers.

Did they finally fix this bug?! I’m sick and tired of 100% health walls dropping to 0% with upgrades. Check my screenshot if you’re unsure of what I’m talking about.
Nope, it shows up as 0% however it has its full health.
Sometimes im happy devs dont read/post here especially with ideas like these.

Surely sucked a lot of fun out this game for me and my fellow roamers.
I don’t like “prime time” because of lag and zergs.
I like the quiet times, with no lag and small roaming group fights.

Why there is no reward for escorting yaks
escorting dolyaks must be rewarded
They used to give some rewards but due to bots they disabled them.

The few times I’ve seen an Anet tag in WvWvW, I don’t recall them not being in a blob.

I see this happen all the time. Yellow dots are not as bright and it does say player is in another instance of this map.

It’s a bug that came with fixing the wp “bug”. You know most wvw players thought it was a feature.
Anet logic, do not ever attempt to try to understand it. Pointless.
Another suggestion would be to add a vendor with special skins only available by these proofs. That way wvw players can show off some stuff. But never going to happen as Anet seems to hate their wvw players.
Dont forget to open wvw daily cchests for the e/w xp boost so you hit rank 14 faster. Happy hunting.
Yet another useless currency once you get them on a toon you have elite spec on. Ok can buy siege with it, but you can get them on TP – for badges and even for a few silver too.
Sometimes i think they just do something without over thinking.
As for the new garri, its probably that tengu archer spawning at inner fighting npc’s. Red keep on EB gets contested too when a colocal mob gets to close to guards. However it seems that keep gets auto contested too out of the blue, but not 100% sure of it yet.
There is an anvil in guild hall central waypoint. Hop in, repair, get right back to where you were (unless your in organized meta).
^This. Or do it the oldskool way and join home bdl, repair, relog and you will be right on your original location.
Blaming the lack of rewards for these empty borderlands is quite silly. I never heard about anyone playing wvw solely for the loot before HoT. Don’t think thats the main reason why these new maps are empty now.

So many places you can duel without interuptions. If people cant respect those spots im sorry but i cant respect those “duels” right outside a keep. Red is dead.

CLosing wvw and then spread the whole playerbase all over the pve instance maps so they can find eachother? Even worse then the state wvw is in currently. That will be a REAL needle to find in a huuuuuge haystack to get a fight going.
You want open world pvp, you join WoW or something.
Anet only fix stuff that is not broken. Or when it affects their glorious pve which is not the case with this.
While these proofs are nice to get some hero points, they become quite useless after getting your elite specialisation. Ofcourse you can spend them on siege but there are many other ways to get those. Buy from TP buy from vendor with some silver/badges, use a siege book and some mats to make them superior.
So my suggestion is to have a vendor with unique skins only obtainable by these proofs of heroics so we, the wvw players, have something to show off vs our spvp/pve comrades. I have no idea yet how much points per skin but this is just a suggestion to give them a bit more value.

So they “fixed” a “bug” barely anyone cared about and now they created a new bug people care about. Interesting anet, really interesting. Wonder how long it takes them to fix this or any other important bug.
