You are late to the party.
Blue drops if any drops for any “champion” killed in SW. Tis a joke.
Issue #4: Nothing special in the chests
From every chest you get the same old boring rewards. 1 champion bag, some dragonite/empyrial (like most of us haven’t deleted enough already)
I can never have enough Empy frags or Dragonite…
You know, if you don’t like playing the zone for the rewards, you can always go to another zone.
What are these “legendary” things you speak of… I’ve yet to get my hands on anything that will lead to such a thing.
hint, hint Gail
I’m so tired of these silly arguments of why we can’t go to Cantha. The most common are:
1) “But… the deep sea dragon!!!11”
My answer: we have airships now, genius. Why not send a small fleet of airships to Cantha?
2) “We have no reason to go to Cantha!”
Cantha… Elona… whatever. Not going to happen for a while.
My answer: No? Humanity is going to kitten, all hiding in their city while getting hammered by centaurs, bandits, and and my barber’s grandma.
I think it would be a good idea to re-establish contact with a continent that is known to be controlled entirely by humans, and may have technology that far exceeds anything on continental Tyria.
I got Bonetti’s Rapier opening chests… and about 20 Twisters in a Jar. I farmed and did the content. Now there is nobody here doing content and farming is not happening.
….Cccccooombo Breaker!!!
New build to fix the “bug”… lol
I would rather hear people cry that they want mounts than this drivel.
I found the easiest way was to get a group and not use any color but red if available. I got the achievement and never used red – but I never used green or blue and my guildmates killed the boss.
There should be more open slots for color on higher level armors. Give me 4 slots on my chest gear instead of 2. Let me add some gold to where buttons should be – let me add a nice brown leather color where straps are located. Let me have good use for all those dyes I collected!
I spend a few hours Bandit Chest farming and from the chest I get Empy fragments, Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone and emblazoned bags. Occasionally I get a Twister in a Jar or other exotic. Out of 100 keys I used, I got one generic exotic staff, 2 Arc, and 14 Twisters.
I’m not getting rich on Bandit Chests… and I do the events. Nobody gets Blue or Red to the point of Breech when I was playing.
The amount of chest “bumps” in the small space between Amber and Blue is staggering. Perhaps moving the locations of chests or making them appear near a fort that has been successfully defended or upgraded would bring more people to the locations. But I agree that a lot of people don’t have any idea of what needs to be done at any given time to succeed.

I vote in the negative. Sorry.
Miss Terree. Not a guy at all.
I hope that the current technology used for this game is not ancient by the time we get off this continent.
I felt the ground trembling and the walls began to shake, windows rattle. Cats were screaming and dogs howling. I figured I better check the forum to ensure that it wasn’t the end of days and someone had mentioned ’mounts" again.
Phew…
“log in – game crash” would be my first bet, however I’m hoping not.
*stuck at work as well
I want a cape for my mount that I tether to a post in front of my house that is furnished inside with all my trophies, weapons and armor….
Effectively the same odds of getting a legendary from the toilet – if not worse.
WvW groups rely on the Water fields generated by the Ele on a near constant basis, so I’m not sure what your actual complaint is.
E is the primary benefactor for Delaqua Investigations.
Why do I get an odd Charlie’s Angels feeling about this?
- The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.
So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.
Dear Gaile,
I’m sorry to say that I believe that you forcing me to purchase more than I want is bunk. If I need 20 gems and have enough for 20 gems I should be able to convert enough gold to equal 20 gems. If I need 1 I should be able to convert enough for 1 gem.
The really offensive part of this is your comment that if and when it’s practical and desirable the developers can look towards adjusting the new system.
We have been promised and have been lead down the proverbial primrose path by the Development Team regarding changes that are supposedly coming: weapons, crafting, rewards… you name it we have been anticipating so much.
That’s my opinion, here it is the Constructive part. Anet needs to fix the gerrymandering of the economic system so the player can see factual information regarding spending gold/gems/REAL WORLD MONEY. Deception and Inconsistency - Anet needs T-shirts with that on the back.
I would like to throw 4 Anet Developers into the Mystic Toilet.
I’m trying to work in my negative viewpoints, but I rarely get anything of note out of the Forge. It is rather disheartening.
Just to keep this in the mind of the players – this was stated by Colin in an interview with Massively in July of 2013:
“Although Johanson couldn’t commit to a timeframe, new weapon types and expansion of current types to more classes is absolutely in the works. In the meantime, there will be new Legendary weapons based on current weapon types, as ArenaNet wants to provide players with more variety in looks and themes for the powerful weapons. One new type of Legendary gear will definitely be putting in an appearance this year and will likely be a trinket such as a ring or amulet. Several of the current Legendaries will also receive appearance-enhancing makeovers.”

Still waiting, Colin…
A community (MAP vote) for a reported troll. Typically there are legitimate commanders looking over all server maps. If someone is seen to be trolling siege they can report that player. Have the report display in map/team chat. Have an onscreen vote – like when kicking/booting from team – that easy.
Since ANET can have that cute little Anet image over the head of their “special” players in the world then they can create a big red bold T to display over the head of the player identified and voted on as a TROLL. Heck, if they can make sound cues for things like Might and Power, they can push a sound from that player like, “I am a Troll” over and over. Lock their ability to take/use supply across their account.
An organized and open community server will rally behind killing trolling

A place to try setting up your build.
There are a bunch of websites that have builds for PvE, PvP and WvW:

this is a pretty decent one.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-rules-of-conduct/
Rule #1 and Rule #22
1.) While playing Guild Wars 2, you must respect the rights of others and their rights to play and enjoy the Game. To this end, you may not defraud, harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players. This includes posting insulting, offensive, or abusive comments about players, repeatedly sending unwanted messages, reporting players maliciously, attacking a player based on race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated
22.)While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.
Its an unfortunate fact of wvw, there are trolls everywhere, they know they are not breaking any rules using supply, and being a jerk is not against eula, since they are not using abusive language, so really anet’s hands are tied, they cant simply ban someone for doing something legal, as crappy as their actions are
I believe that in another thread that had to do with an event in Cursed Shores being intentionally failed – there was a comment by Anet that said if someone is playing in a fashion that causes problems for other players they need to take actions. I’m going to have a search for that comment…

Found it:

There are really two sides to this, and when it comes down to it, you are both right – and you are both wrong. Both sides have the right to complete the task that they set out to do (completing or not completing).
Challenging another player’s play style is the issue here, and since this revolved around an event that was designed to be completed, it is being changed so that the original design of the event can be carried out.
When something in the game (such as this event) changes negatively as this has, we need to step in and remediate the toxicity. The byproduct of this change happens to be that a champion farm is being slowed, but since that was the originating factor for the toxicity, it’s unavoidable.
I encourage players to remember that not everyone has the same goals when they play, and sometimes they will clash.
Looking for more substantial reference.

When reporting an achievement bug, what Area allows me to select Achievements?
I just want to quickly add, there are some errors on this chart of how stuff is unlocking, as well as 1st character vs. account unlocks when some of these systems were carried between regions. We’re trying to identify what happened and repair those things assigned the wrong account/character fields, as well as levels.
In the spirit of open communication, perhaps there might be an “honest moment” where someone might say this is what is not/was not intended instead of calling them “those things”.
There was lots of hype about what we veteran players were going to really like… so far my champagne tastes of… well, you know.
A bit off topic: Can we please stop with all “X was too confusing for new players so they locked it behind a higher level” posts? It’s been one day and I’ve already seen it used for everything from posting on the forums, to logging into the game. (Yeah I know I touched on it myself, and deeply regret it now) It’s starting to get old, and offers nothing in the way of feedback. Thank you.
Except that all feedback is not rosy happy unicorns and lemon drops. Sometimes it’s a nasty stinky cheese sandwich on moldy bread.
We’re working on identifying and resolving all of these issues as quickly as possible, some of the absolutely legitimate concerns folks are bringing up (like some of the bigger issues with alts) are not intended and appear to have been flagged incorrectly when they moved between development regions. Fixes incoming soon as we can identify everything.
Please continue to give feedback and suggestions, we very much appreciate it as it’s allowed us to identify a lot of not intended issues, as well as bugs.
Thanks!
Colin, I greatly appreciate that we received a red post reply. Glad that you guys are reading our tantrums. Did you guys really intend us not to be able to unlock weapon skills on our baby toons like this?
Here’s the keys to the car son, we’ll give you tires next year!
I DO NOT NEED SPOON FEEDING, DIAPERING OR SOFT FOODS.
I think that is one of the new achievements.
Why is this preview smaller than the hero panel preview of items you DO own?
Beyond extremes of easy or hard, I couldn’t give a whit about it.
What I want is a smooth, fun leveling experience that gives me options to explore.http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Character This does not look smooth to me.
And is it me, or is banking actually locked behind level 23? …Y’know, completely out of reach of all those Experience Scrolls I’ll be itching to use to get past this slough?
I had to check out that account vault – lvl 21 toon and I can access bank…
not starting a new toon to learn more of what I can’t do.
At 21 I did unlock Jumping Puzzles… just freaking amazing.
You need to purchase $35 in Gems first.
Sorry…

Is it true that a baby Ranger cannot name it’s pet?
You unlock ability to name, switch and put pet on passive at level 5. You can charm another pet and immediately swap to it when game asks you, but it will go back to your starter if you die below level 5.
I am… stunned. Really?
Can’t swap?
No downed state because you unlock that? My head is spinning…
I saw that a new toon is actually told to go to Frostgorge Sound to see the new challenges…
You don’t unlock the weapon skill as you use the weapon?
No underwater skills? That makes zero sense.
No gathering ability
No dyes
no armor
no
no
no
… wow, sure does tempt me into buying the game if I don’t have it
Not making a new toon until this kitten is cleared up.
Is it true that a baby Ranger cannot name it’s pet?
I would like to officially say that I do not like that my preview image is significantly smaller and much more difficult to see detail.
/cry
Well I work 50 hours a week so maybe about 4 hours a night… days off about 8 hours…
Please don’t take this the wrong way – so 36 hours a week average play time? Some of us have families and get maybe 4 hours a week.
I guess I’m happy that you have everything but…
I suppose one could ask “Why if it does not bother you that they are leaving should such a post interest you enough for you to read it and then make a negative comment on it?”
Perhaps it’s that there is so much complaining about the game in general. Even when they develop what players ask for they complain. I’ve never seen one RED post following one of these. They might have better success sending a PM to Gaile.
How a guild stays cohesive and successful is based completely on the maturity of its members.
Why do people feel the need to come write up a “Dear John” letter when they don’t want to play anymore?
Yeah because in GW1 when they introduced hard mode/vanquishing it was all new maps and enemies right?
This
Is
Not
GW1
Please stop using that argument.
What hype? You mean the one sentence that said: ‘More information will be released next week about features that are more suited to veteran players.’?
Major hype, indeed!
Obviously “features” means “new content”, “playable races”, “Capes”, “Mounts”, etc to a lot of people. While it also shows their complete inability to read. Nowhere in that sentence is the word “new” used.
Get More Gold Button. Pay to Win confirmed.
Not sure where you’ve been but Gems have always been able to be converted to Gold. Gems have always been for sale. Therefore there has never been a conspiracy or coverup that this is available. Might as well say that the sun is hot…
