Make all Black Lion chests drop one guaranteed “Black Lion Claim Ticket Scrap”.
Maybe it’s RNG with conditions that reduce the odds.
Try opening one chest an hour. In a location with very few people in it like a city instance. But open the chest in different areas.
Maybe these things affect how RNG works. If so then the chests use DR.
*Time between opening chests
*population of area
*multiple chests opened in same area

Why not mail everyone in the game books with this lore and images?
These lore books from events can then be added to our collectables.

Is 10k really supposed to be that much better? It’s still an obscene amount…
Unless we see more open world candy corn nodes as the event progresses. I agree that 10,000 is still a obscene amount of candy corn needed for a bag.
This isn’t a the real fight. It’s more of just a way to start the story.
A option to see other players like last year. Is what the JP needs.
I know there many are other post on this topic. But I wanted to make a specific point on this topic. That deserves it’s own post.
First, who is going to buy (gems with money) two heavy sets of the same armor? A very small number of player are going to do that with money converted to gems.
Our characters class/race is are already limited by which armors we can use, on all our characters.
Third, at most players will only have 3 total characters out of 8, that uses the same class of armor.
Anet will not lose much money by making Armor Account Bound!
Bought 1 chest with gold converted to gems and got 1 ticket scrap.
I don’t think the chest are really RNG. I think they are rigged! Maybe DR affects them.
How about a translucent map option. Where only roads, trails, gathering nodes, npc’s merchants, bosses, and DE circles are visible on map. No map background or box.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
Ncsoft is breathing down Anet’s nick with their own data supporting RNG.
If Anet does not want to bring Reaper’s Rumble back as a Halloween mini game. Then permanently add it to the daily rotation of mini games during the Halloween event!
Rich dragon coffers costed more than BLC’s. With none of the rewards from BLC’s included.
I would have them drop the same way from enemies in Dragon Bash . But put one rich coffer in each BLC. It would replace a lower reward, like a tonic in BLC’s.
Have you looked at the mystic forge lately. It is made for costume brawl.
It will depend on if a Candy Corn Cob can be made some other way after Halloween. Remember Quartz is converted into Charged Quartz at Place of power.
Place’s of Power may be used to convert candy corn into a Candy Corn Cob. Then we just save the Candy Corn Cobs in our collectibles until Halloween.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I now think the Candy Corn rewards are meant to be a long term reward. That’s why a home candy corn node is the meta reward.
Expect a christmas and Dragon Bash node in your home instance.
You will be playing WoW 3 by then.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
Anet does not want you to earn Candy Corn rewards during halloween. This is why the price is so high. “1,000 candy corn to make one Candy Corn Cob”
Instead they want you to do the meta. To earn a Candy Corn node for your home instance. Then Candy Corn and other Halloween crafting materials will be in smaller steady supple year round.
“Get yourself some sweet rewards by participating in Blood and Madness content! Complete the Blood and Madness meta achievement to receive a Mini Candy Corn Elemental , and follow the storyline for a Candy Corn node for your home instance!”
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/october-15-2013/
Anet must planing to time gate these items so they can take multiple years for players to earn.
Halloween minis from last year, was on sale for weeks last month.
I wanted to see the halloween theme expanded into more cities and town (Not to the extent of LA). But instead we see LESS content!
the worlds are all full, just scattered across dozens of activities.
ignore the haters and their lies.
Many have more inactive players.
I found a corn node in Queensdale over by the Apple farm. Doesnt seem to be many about. My first Halloween though so I dont know how it compares to previous year.
They was as common as copper nodes.
Anet you had one year to limit the excise supply of candy corns. You did not need to limit the candy corn nodes in the open world.
You could of created:
*More Mystic forge recipes that utilize candy corn year round.
*NPC to trade cardy corn for loot bags.
45g worth of corn cobs for a 20-slot box which would cost you about 10g.
400g worth of nougats for the RECIPE for a 250g staff.
First of all, unless someone was expecting the price of those materials to crash to nothingness, what were they thinking? If they do in fact crash to basically being worth nothing, then what did they expect people to do the events for? Fun running zerging around a bland and empty maze?
Second of all, why isn’t there achievements for the minigame or the clocktower?
The price would have crashed to 3-7 copper. If Anet would of kept all the candy corn nodes in the open world.
Not having the option to see other players make it boring to me.
Anyone hoarding candy corn is happy right now. The price went from 3 copper to 95 copper.
Nerfs
*Far fewer candy corn nodes in open world.
*Reaper’s Rumble removed.
*Seeing other players on the Clocktower. (should be optional)
*few good halloween rewards as of yet
Add more Grind
*1,000 candy corn to make one Candy Corn Cob
*20 slot Halloween Pail costs 15 Candy Corn Cobs
Mistakes from last year
*BLC RNG Skins inside
This is a list of things that make Halloween less enjoyable this year.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I got 2. one in orr, one in timber. They are out there, just a lot less.
It doesn’t feel like Halloween with 99% of them removed.
Hopefully it’s just a glitch and Anet will fix it.
As far as I am able to tell the actual mining nodes are only inside the labyrinth this year.
So no open world mining of candy corn.
This would be a stupid move be Anet. Making all their other zones dead for three weeks.
Go to the Labyrinth, there are plenty of them.
Last year they were everywhere in the open world, except Orr.
Yes, I liked seeing players so I can race the best ones to the top.
Why can’t it be a option to see a blue mist or other players?
Has anyone seen one yet?
Reaper’s Rumble is still on the map.
This should be changed. Anet limiting inventory space does not help sell items in the long run.
I would download it for free to be released with the Living Story.
Gem sales can pay for the expansion.
Only players who didn’t play GW ask for mounts. Anyone who played GW knows not to ask for them.
I played GW from start till GW2, but I’d like to see mounts in GW2.
What I do not like however, is other people determining what I would or would not like.
I’ve seen a lot of petty arguments in this thread why it should not be added, but this just tops it. It makes no sense at all.
I did say what you would like or not like. You should know by now what happens when someone brings up mounts.
Some areas are meant to be challenging like temples. But if players are just riding past most of the enemies. Those areas are too easy.
Mounts make the game too easy!
I can see your point, but what does that have to do with having played GW and therefore having a certain opinion? That does not compute.
And no, i do not “know by now”. I hardly ever read forums. The argument that mounts would make the game easy, is a narrow view.
If mobs are able to knock you off the mount, that would solve a part of it.
You would not be able to mount, if you are in combat, solves another part.
Furthermore, certain areas should be not accessible with a mount. Like dungeons and such.
Areas inaccessible with a mount, will automatically dismount you.
Quality of the mounts, could be determined by their speed, and their ability to resist against being knocked off. (like, low level mobs, but high level mobs will always be able to knock you off)With some imagination, anything is possible, without sacrificing gameplay, or making it easier.
The games AI can’t seem to react fast eighth players running by for mounts to work.
Even if a enemy could knock a players off of a mount. The enemies AI would not have time to use that ability. If mount is faster than swiftness.
How is this really any different then running by mobs with staff swiftness or a speed signet?
Anet needs to make some content harder so players using swiftness can’t just run past enemies. Good open world raid won’t happen until then.
Anet wants players to go into combat stance because they do not want you just running through mobs .
People don’t show up because Tequatl does not downscale to a lower number of players.

Yeah but you can already run past mobs with swiftness. There isn`t a difference. And if there was they would take swiftness out of the game because it makes it too easy.
It’s still hard to avoid large groups of enemies using swiftness. If they are directly in your path with no way around. Mounts faster than swiftness would be game breaking in my opinion. As they can ride through enemies easily.
Players should be a little scared of dieing in hard areas. Fast mount take that fear away from the player.
Mounts also make gathering too fast and easy.

Bonfires are too expensive too. But they are more for guilds. Guild can easily ask for donations to pay for them.
Fireworks are more for fun or should be. Adding the buff takes some of the fun out of the item by make players work for it.
Bonfire price should drop now. Since Anet decided that this buff is worth less.
If the buff is the reason for the high price. Then why was the Crown Pavilion buff free?
Who thinks the Halloween fireworks are too expensive?
1 for 200 gems
5 for 800 gems
10 charges for skill 1-4
1 charge for skill 5, buff for everyone in area.
Fun temporary items like fireworks should be cheaper. As for the buff, most players will receive that for free.
How about this instead?
1 for 60 gems
5 for 300 gems
5 Drop in BLC, 1 out of 15 chests
It’s the Living World Achievement so those that take part in the living world would most likely come across the key parts needed for this daily.
They do not drop often. If exploring is the dailies intent, it does not work. Because the key parts are too cheap on the TP.
No they drop at a fair rate in the Aetherblade path in TA.. The path happens to be the current Living Story so it is currently a highly treaded path. Players run the path, get their pieces and viola daily achievement… assuming it wasn’t bugged.
The dailies are part of activities that most people do simply playing the game and the Living Story is one of those common activities.
Play your own way as long as it’s the Living Story.
Ignorant much? How is this any different from the WvW dailies? Gathering? What about when the dungeon/fractals ones when they come up? Grow up.
You’re immature for calling people names. What would happen to you if you did that on the street?
Living story is option, dungeon/fractals are a option, WvW is a option, JP’s are are a option, mini games are a option. It should be up to the player to decide how to spend their time playing. NOT Anet!
The key maker is also a LS Meta.
How about one daily?
*Login and play 1 hour.

Looks like a updated Mad King’s Labyrinth.
Players could not enter the doors last year. You mean openworld doors? Because you could enter those after a certain act of halloween.
You right, they went to the Mad King’s Labyrinth Hub. But it didn’t take players any place new.
