Blackgate bought ANet, dontcha know?

Yeah, people really do underestimate how far Blackgate is willing to go to win in WvW. For starters, we paid for IRON’s transfer back to EU. We also paid several Commanders on both JQ AND SoR to take several weeks off during the season. And after the close finish in Week 1, we sent people to all the other servers in Gold League to stand around in PvE areas, handing out free Legendary Weapons to anyone willing to promise that they wouldn’t contribute to their servers WvW efforts in any way. And that’s not even mentioning the Blackgate strategy of requiring that ALL WvW players have at least 2 accounts each, so that we can have our 2nd account characters on rival servers just standing around in WvW spawn points taking up que space and reading enemy Map Chat out in Teamspeak… buying guilds was just the tip of the iceberg, and most us can’t believe that that’s the thing that everyone’s getting so upset about!

BLACKGATE; we don’t kid around when it comes to WvW…

“Crazy Friday” could be pretty fun. We had it once already, when we had those few days a while back where no one could build any siege (except golems, I think?) It was fun while it lasted, however…

To be honest, this kind of thing won’t really affect balance at all. Servers with 24/7 coverage or close to it will still completely stomp servers that don’t have round-the-clock coverage, and servers that field huge numbers will still easily beat servers that can’t que 3 or more maps 7 days a week. The only type of “random rules” that could affect balance in this sort of way would be something like random blackout hours, where maybe WvW just shuts down randomly for several hours during non-NA times in NA, or non-EU times in EU; or maybe a a ruleset where for 1 week, the que for WvW shrinks to 25 people per map. This kind of thing would probably make people even more upset than the current server balance problems, however.

I switched to a KillerNIC system a couple of months ago, and I’ve noticed a huge decrease in lag in WvW fights, to the point that it’s barely noticeable for me, even in large 60v60v60 battles. I’m on Blackgate, btw, in NA Tier 1. I thought at first that it had to do with the “server optimizations” that Anet had been putting out at about the same time that I built my new system, but guildies have been telling me that their lag is about the same as ever, so the KillerNIC thing might not be total BS (which was what I had previously assumed, I only have it b/c it’s built into my motherboard).

Hello Reslinal,

SoR seems to view BG (correct me if wrong) as a big disorganized server with tons of fairweathers versus theirs being a tight knit community that is more hardcore.

Unfortunately, that is not how SOR views BG. We know BG has a good community much like SOR because of the folks who went there and came back. We also know that BG militia will scout and defend objectives. SOR and the rest of the tiers knows that BG is pretty well organized, much like how SOS was in T1.

That’s probably because most of the big WvW guilds from SoS went to BG once things started to fall apart on SoS. There were some exceptions, such [TSYM], who went to SoR, and several good guilds who stayed on SoS or went to other servers, looking to get away from Tier 1, but in large part, the SoS and BG leaderships merged, so it’s no surprise that the current BG organization resembles the old, Tier 1 SoS structure in some ways.

On the topic of biggest RIVALRIES, this is a tough one; at the beginning of the game, we had HoD/ET/JQ all sort of in a rivalry with one another, and later SBI and SoS had a pretty serious rivalry in Tier 1. These days, BG and SoR sort of have a rivalry, but what really seems to happen is that any time one server wins Tier 1 a couple of weeks in a row, the other Tier 1 servers hate them. The Tier 1 rivalry is also very different in different timezones, as BG’s Oceanic and SEA guilds have long seemed to consider JQ to be our biggest rival (long before the [MERC] split, btw).

I wonder if the lost sleep was worth a non permanent finisher and a rng chest.

Yeah, people were pulling 12+ hour Command shifts LONG before Season 1 was announced or even being discussed. People were staying up late trying to win their matchups as far back as 24-hour resets, when WvW matches actually didn’t count for anything really (MOS wasn’t even tracking it yet!) A lot of the game’s best Commanders were long gone before this Season 1 thing even started as result, unfortunately…

I don’t know what everyone here is complaining about; I found my s1 rewards to be quite unique!

As soon as I opened the Season 1 Rewards Chest, an Anet Dev personally hopped out of the chest, kicked my character in the nuts, and then a laugh track played for about 10 minutes while he made “yo momma” jokes at my expense! Oh, and I got a temporary Dolyak Finisher. Great job, Anet!

Tbh, I’m surprised anyone thought the Golden Dolyak Finisher would be permanent. I mean, yeah, that would make a lot of sense, but at the same time… THEY SELL FINISHERS FOR REAL LIFE MONEY IN THEIR STORE! Arenanet isn’t about to give the most highly populated servers in the game the best (arguably) finisher available and go “As your reward, you can hold onto your gem money. No need to buy finishers anymore guys!”

You know what they don’t sell in the store? Green weapons and armor. I think we all knew we’d be getting plenty of those before Season 1 even started.

So… yeah. I think Arenanet is making a great argument for bringing back the subscription model in MMO’s.

Account Bound Commander Tag

Way back at release, everyone complained about the Commander Tag being Soulbound, and a Dev got on here and explained that they wanted people to get used to seeing the exact same name pop up on the map as a Commander, day in and day out, and not be confused about who was Commanding when he switched to his alt.

Really, the Commander Tag should never have been gated by Gold in the first place; there was a lot of discussion about this all the way back in Beta! At release, it was really hard to buy a Commander Icon, and usually required an entire guild to pool their money in order to have a Commander in the first few weeks, but it was clear that eventually everyone in the game would have an Icon if they wanted it.

One of the alternative ideas that came up early on was that the Commander Icon should be something that the guild has to “unlock”, like Guild Buffs or Guild Siege or Banners, etc, and once it’s unlocked, that guild could simply designate one member as the Commander whenever they enter WvW, but the Icon would only be bound to the guild, not to a player. So upon entering WvW, the guild would somehow decide which person would Command that day, and designate that person, and when they have to leave or another Commander shows up, they simply switch the tag to another guildie. Unfortunately, it’s probably too late for Anet to revisit that idea now, but it did seem to make more sense to a lot of people at the time. At that time, of course, Anet ONLY talked about the Commander Icons in reference to WvW, so until we started trying it out, no one even knew if they’d work in PvE or not. Now, however, Lion’s Arch is just a sea of Commanders on practically every server (in NA at least), so… idk. But yeah, any discussions about it costing more gold aren’t really a big deal, they just make it harder for new Commanders to get started, while making the Icon more of a status symbol in PvE, really. And making it cost a large amount of Badges might tie the Icon to WvW a little more, but then Guilds can’t pool resources to get someone a Commander Tag, because Badges aren’t tradeable. And, of course, troll commanders will still get their Icons, even if they cost Badges.

I’m not really sure how to fix this problem without making a lot of people upset, but the “Guild Bound” Commander Tag always made a lot of sense to me.

Obviously, not being from FA or HoD, I can’t speak for them.

But. BG’s wins weren’t that easy. We were picked to come 3rd at the start of leagues, and were definitely seen as the underdog after losing much of our OCE/SEA coverage to JQ and SoR (though SUPR and RISE moved to greener pastures I heard?)

It’s pretty evident this week that all of BG’s commanders and regular WvWers are completely burnt out from putting their all into winning this season. Outmanned buff is appearing for me more and more often, and more often than not, it’s the particular timezone when SEA starts up that we start gaining a lot of our PPT (we haven’t really seen JQ’s SEA show up in big numbers besides TKG and MERC + militia, only seen FoO once, and SoR’s SEA is basically all militia and.. GC? or GE? I get those two mixed up).

We put all our effort into winning every week, except week 6. Sorry SoS and Mag, coverage/population differences and all…

BG was never expected to be 3rd, never ever, its always been expected to be first especially with the purchase of ZDS among other guilds ._.

There is a very, VERY long qq thread about JQ’s “easy” schedule, as well as a few “Who do you think will win Season 1?” threads. BG was predicted to come in 3rd or 4th in EVERY one of those threads, almost unanimously. BG beat JQ & SoR the first week without any help from Za Drots at all. I can’t actually find ANYONE saying that BG would win Season 1 any earlier than week 3 of the season, actually. Not one.

Ralikh is still, to this date, one of the best commanders I have ever followed. Spot on map coordination, tactic, and level-headed combination throughout all opportunities I was given to follow him on Sea of Sorrows as well as Blackgate.

What? And I was about to nominate REYANA! She never turns on her Tag, so I don’t know what she’s doing exactly, but EVERY time she moves to a new server, that place seems to immediately become the Top Server in the game somehow…..

We’ve been talking about this since August 2012- the “queue” isn’t broken, it NEVER EXISTED! As deadcell said, Anet’s love of RNG even extended to the WvW “que”.

This was confirmed well over a year, with a whole thread that concluded with an Anet Dev saying “we’ll look into it”, but at the time we still had culling, super-lag, thieves holding points forever in stealth, people climbing over walls legally, all kinds of nonsense about “secret” unconfirmed sources of points, and all kinds of other things that took priority over fixing the queue. And then, of course, the real queue problems kind of went away on their own as people got bored with WvW and/or left the game altogether. People just started rediscovering how messed up the queue system is once the Leagues started up. But yeah, it’s already been admitted LONG ago that there is no literal “queue”, people seem to be randomly placed into WvW working on some kind of “Mystic Forge” type of rules lol. So yeah, good luck Kjendar.

Great, another chestbeating thread from BG. Not every server has 24 hour queues all week on all maps and when there is legitimately less people on other respective servers. Even though fighting bgs zone blobs on all maps the with the same 25 people on 3maps, at least we’re getting fights – it would’ve been horribly boring to stay on an overstacked server with no competition.

I’m sorry, but aren’t you part of that same “MERC” group who transferred to JQ right before Season started because you were tired of pulling overtime, and you felt that BG’s coverage just wasn’t competitive enough to keep up with JQ & SoR? I can, of course, copy & paste Ralihk’s post in which he says exactly that, before going on to describe “the situation in WvW during SEA” as “dire for over a month with a massive lack of players compared to SoR and JQ”, right before he went on the explain that moving to JQ was all about winning Leagues. Now you’re complaining that BG is “overstacked” in your timezone? And even going so far as to say that you left to avoid being horribly bored “to stay on an overstacked server with no competition”?

I’m from TC and I’d like to say that the folks from BG are some of the nicest around.

I wanted to move to a T1 before the season started and a BGer asked me if I could afford moving to a T1. If not, he could help pay for half or so of my transfer to any of the T1 servers, not just exclusive to BG.

I declined because I did not need financial assistance but I thought it was a really kind gesture and will never forget it. He wasn’t trying to buy me and instead just offered help.

Just by browsing through this thread, I can say that some BGers are sweethearts.

Posts like these have me wondering if I’m the only constantly broke person on this server.

For Warrior:

  • Damage decrease to hammer is too much all at once. Wouldn’t it be better to have smaller decreases over time to test its balance/effectiveness? It would look bad if you decreased it too much and then had to backtrack and increase it again. Incremental is a better route in my opinion.
  • As others have noted, Healing Signet may be too strong as it is. It should be affected more by the Healing stat, not just be uber-strong no matter what. Alternatively, some kind of heal-on-hit might be cool, too, similar to thief signet.

I’ve mained a warrior since beta (nearly 2k hours) and most of that has been hammer. Making hammer #4 mobile made me so happy, I can’t even tell you! I don’t see any problems with the rest of changes to warrior except the two I’ve mentioned.

Can’t we just fix the Perplexity Runes instead, and leave Hammer Warrior’s alone? I mean, the new Hammer Warrior build that came out after Perplexity Runes were introduced were the real problem, right? I don’t remember seeing too many people complain that “Warrior is OP!” before Perplexity Runes were introduced…

It’s all about timezone coverage.

The big alliances that formed before the game launched had this all figured out early on, and as a result 2 servers sat at numbers 1 & 2 until their alliances finally disbanded out of boredom.

When people say “the other server has way more people than my server does!”, what they usually mean is one of two thing: either
1.) the other server has more people all in one place (their whole map comes together to zerg),
or
2.)the other server has more people on when most of my server is asleep.

Problem number 2 is what people are often talking about when they talk about “Population Imbalances”. It’s rare that 2 servers whose populations in every timezone are severely imbalanced would even meet each other in WvW. Most of the time, people get on at 2 am and see that the other server has their server outnumbered on 1 or more maps, and that is often referred to as population imbalance.

Dont listen to anyone who tells you any time zone that isnt late NA/Early oceanic.

BG caught up in PPT during the 8 hours than SoR sits outmanned on 3 maps.

This whole thing is ridiculous. SoR has exactly 1 WEAK TIMEZONE, and yes, BG has exploited the crap out of it.

SoR’s weak timezone is, incidentally, Monday-Thursday… You might want to recruit a guild or 2 to cover that.

As a thief, I say bring on more stealth detection, please! I hate that we have so many scrubs relying on perma stealth. It’s ruined this class.

Yeah, the problem here is really that Dagger/Pistol Thieves have become sort of an “Easy-Button” build for PvE players looking to dabble in WvW, but who aren’t in a decent WvW guild and absolutely do not want to die under any circumstances (this describes more people than you probably think it does). Dagger/Pistol builds have kind of broken stealth in WvW because of their ability to easily stack 7 seconds or so of stealth and run away from any fight that goes south, without really needing more than a below-average skill level.

I’ve tried probably 12 different Thief builds since release, and most of them are reasonably balanced, imo. The Dagger/Pistol build has always been slightly overpowered, however, and as such it remains popular for people who are just getting into WvW roaming and people who just love to troll, etc.

Perhaps…maybe…the problem is that JQ BG and SoR are so stacked that they just assume they will win over the number four ranked server TC?

TC vs BG vs SoR this week: it’s only Monday morning, and TC, who has never won a T1 match before, is 30,000 points behind already. If you want to put money on TC winning this matchup, PLEASE contact me in-game before the week is out!

When players log out in a map in WvW they are still counted towards the player cap for the map. That’s why queues are HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS LONG there’s usually only a fraction of the normal slots available on a map.

We’re finding this to be true; several times this week, I’ve seen party members log out without leaving party, & for the next hour their Blue Dot remains on the map. We tried looking to see if the character is still standing there, and there’s no one there, but the Blue Dot stays on the map LONG after the person has logged out…

1.) Coverage: It’s been mentioned here many time before, but in NA, a very large % of the time when people complain about “Population Imbalance”, they REALLY mean “Coverage Imbalance”. Tarnished Coast, for instance, has a relatively massive population, and bring PLENTY of people to WvW, but only for about 12 hours a day… the other 12 hours they are just bleeding PPT whenever they run up against a Tier 1 server, most of which have 18-24 hours of decent coverage. Fixing this isn’t easy, of course, because WvW isn’t the only thing in the game; if you forced all of the Australian & New Zealand players to split up amongst the various server, they’d have no one to play with in open world PvE content, unless they all Guested every night to 1 server together. A set of Asian & Oceanic servers competing with each other in WvW, seperate from EU & NA, would probably help a lot, shifting those populations out of NA, and cutting down on the Coverage Imbalances that currently exist. Even this wouldn’t completely solve the coverage problem, but it would lessen it significantly.

Coverage is a problem that won’t be solved by simply merging servers or forcing players to move around more within the same NA or EU sections of WvW. I don’t really know exactly how to fix the Coverage problem, but it is the root problem when it comes to making a truly competitive and fair WvW League or environment.

This is made particularly clear when there is a “sale” on transfers for people moving down to lower population servers; during the last sale, there were exactly ZERO Low or Medium Population servers in NA! Not one. The only way you could take advantage of the transfer sale was by moving to one of the 3 or 4 High Population servers we had. Server mergers are pretty much out for this same reason, they wouldn’t solve anything right now unless they also somehow changed the Coverage Imbalances.

Yeah… you’re a bit late to the party on this one. The first big complaint I saw about this was on August 29, 2012, when an multi-server Mumble was setup specifically for a few servers to be able to talk to each other in the hopes of bringing down the Titan Alliance (HoD at the time) together. That was 1 day after release…

This is really one of those things that, while not common, was brought over here from DaoC and other games like this. There’s really no way for ArenaNet to police every Teamspeak, Mumble, Raidcall, & Vent server being used in the game, and even if they did, they would have to deal with people talking on Steam, IMs, texts, and so on. If 2 servers really want to form an alliance to take down a 3rd server, they will. I really don’t know how ArenaNet could stop it.

My understanding was that this had stopped working a long time ago, and that being in a party with other people que’d now made your wait LONGER somehow. Most people in Tier 1 have been queing solo and forming parties once they’re in for this reason.

…let’s be honest if there was any real emphasis on WvW they would of fixed many things in it a long time ago and done something about this kind of thing already but like skill lag, queue bugs, door hacks etc, etc it simply doesn’t have a significant enough effect to the TP economy or gem sales so they ignore it.
But until ANET wakes up and does something about it, it will only get worse so its up to the players to keep flooding their inboxes with botting reports or such… ask yourself why ANET still refuses to provide appropriate reporting tools/functions for us to use against the cheats!

Unfortunately, there is a little bit of truth in this. Whenever there is an exploit that affects the economy in anyway, it gets IMMEDIATELY shut down, and is usually followed by wave of mass bans and much crying on Reddit (the Snowflake debacle, the “Free Siege Glitch”, etc). But we had thieves holding points in WvW for as long as they wanted while in perma-stealth for… 4 months? It was complained about as early as the 1st week of September, 2012. We had people climbing over walls and soloing Towers & Keeps without a single piece of siege or even raising swords for… 7 months? No bans, all legal; just ask “Wild Bill”, who made, idk, 50 videos of himself climbing over walls into Towers using what 99% of players deemed an “exploit”. And there are plenty of other things that affect the WvW score and ruin that part of the game for everyone, but usually take many MONTHS to be fixed (if ever), and result in no bans whatsoever. There’s a clear bias towards punishing ANYONE who makes even a small amount of gold through an exploit or does anything that could threaten Gem sales and shutting those exploits down IMMEDIATELY, while ignoring the glaring and often-reported problems in WvW, many of which directly affect the score and can even determine the outcome of a match.

So all of this together does create an environment in which someone who really wants to “win” might say, “Sure it’s an exploit/cheat/hack, but by the time ArenaNet fixes it I’ll be gone from this game anyway, & since I’m not making any gold it’s like they would ban me even if I did get caught! What possible reason is there for me to NOT want to use this exploit/cheat/hack to win?”

So yeah, as the 1st Season moves forward and people become more competitive in WvW, expect to see even more exploits, cheats, hacks, and so on as more and more people start rediscovering them or even invent new ones.

Yeah, the complaint here isn’t really that a server can rush a Keep with 20 Omega Golems. It is, of course, possible to wipe that whole 20 Golem group. The problem is that, with the number of Omega Golems & other siege in the game now, a single guild can organize a NEW 20 Omega Golem rush EVERY 15 MINUTES if the 1st attempt fails~!!! After the “Free Siege Glitch”, Omega Golems are roughly about as common as Superior Arrow Carts were before the glitch.

Yeah, most people who have played WvW since launch would not be surprised to hear that this 1st Season is being looked at as an Open Beta, this would actually sum up the overall WvW experience of most players since launch. I mean, orbs, held in Keeps, in a single, specific spot that people could reach by simply dropping down BEHIND THE MAP from their own spawn, running under the floors of the Keep to destroy the orb? The original orb concept always felt like we were still in beta. And does anyone remember when you could simply climb over the door of ANY Tower or Keep in the game and solo the Tower/Keep Lord to ninja cap it? Or how about holding points for an infinite amount of time in stealth?

So yeah, when I really think about it, an unbalanced schedule for the 1st Season of WvW League play doesn’t really seem that bad anymore…

Yeah, pretty much what everybody else is saying here; the game has been out for well over a year, there are probably 1/2 a million people who can afford to and would be happy to buy a Commander Icon if it meant a free pass into WvW with no wait. In fact, many of the WvW guilds have stockpiled gold for WvW expenses, so we would probably see tons of whole guilds made up entirely of Commanders…

Looks like everybody forgot to build superior ballistas to counter…

The range on Superior Ballistas is 3000, the range on Superior or Guild Catapults is 4000, so if your Omegas run into a problem with Ballistas you simply drop 10 Guild Catas, which only require 25 supply each to build!

There’s a reason that Ballistas are consistently the cheapest piece of siege on TP…

Yeah, I’m not sure about EB, but in T1 NA the Borderlands JP’s are being camped RELENTLESSLY for points by whatever server has Bloodlust at the moment, since PvE’ers are pouring in & getting unexpectedly Stomped for 1 WvW point each.

The problem with Omega Golems is that Anet started this WvW League RIGHT after we just had the “Free Siege Glitch”. As the TP price on Omegas bottomed out, they got at least as low as 25 silver each, so now you have Commanders and Guilds with 5-10k Omega Golems sitting in the bank.

I mean, a 10 or even 20 Omega Golem rush isn’t anything new, but at least it used to be unusual. Now you have days where ALL 3 servers in a matchup will do a 20 Omega Golem rush at least once per tick! This was caused by the “Free Siege Glitch”, since previously there was, at least, some limit to how many Omegas a person or guild could make (gold, skill points), but that limit was completely removed for a week just prior to the WvW Leagues starting up.

We should probably also get a thread going on the problem of Guild Catapults, which used to be rare to see, but this week I’m seeing 8 Guilds Catapults dropped on a tower almost hourly, thanks to the same “Free Siege Glitch” that’s caused Omega Golems to be such a problem.

Yeah oops, sorry, I meant “guaranteed to win this league”. there was a reddit post that talked about the math of this match-up and made some assumptions, concluding that JQ was guaranteed to win it all from the beginning.

No, JQ isn’t guaranteed to win it all. They are almost guaranteed to come in second at worst, and for the weeks 2-4 they should take 1st place without even knowing that the League stuff is still happening, while BG and SoR pray that none of their Commanders pass out face-down on their keyboards from exhaustion, as there is no possible way for both BG AND SoR to take as many first place wins as JQ, since they play each other for 5 of the 7 weeks of this Season, so only 1 of the other Tier 1 servers even stands a chance of getting first place, the other will, at best, tie for 3rd, or possibly even finish 4th behind TC.

It is kind of funny that everybody’s suddenly bringing up the randomized queue system again; most of us were crying about this LAST SEPTEMBER! But yeah, it was semi-explained a long time ago that the queues are somehow “random”, although I think that was back before Anet felt the need to explain anything in detail, so I don’t know exactly how it works; back then Anet still hadn’t officially admitted to us where all the non-ppt points in game were coming from, even that was a “hidden mechanic” that we could only guess at.

But yeah, for the first 3-4 months of the game 1+ hour queues were common on most servers (I was experiencing them in Tiers 3 and 4), especially on reset nights. So this isn’t a new problem in any way, it’s just the same old problem that a lot of new people are discovering for the first time.

So what’s the deal, does anyone know if JQ is guaranteed to win this week, assuming at the least that T2 will never beat T1 and no other T2 will beat TC?

If JQ places 3rd in this match-up, does this give a chance for BG/SoR to win the league?

It gives ONE of them a chance, provided that either BG or SoR is willing to give up sleep altogether for the next 3 weeks, while the other server takes things a bit more casually. The most likely situation is that BG and SoR will cannibalize each other, splitting wins between them while JQ cruises to 3 easy wins. This would mean that one of these servers would have to have Commanders and Guilds staying awake for nearly the entire 7 weeks in order to win, as they would need nearly all 1st place finishes.

JQ finishing third this week probably affects TC more than BG/SoR, since TC’s population doesn’t go through a lot of drastic changes, and if this week is any indication Tier 2 looks even less competitive now than it was just 2 months ago. TC has 2 third place finishes on the schedule, 2 first place finishes, and 3 very likely second place finishes. It would be very possible for TC to get or tie for third place in the league, if JQ finished first in weeks 1 and 7, but it gets murkier if JQ finishes third.

Mesmer. They’re generally good at everything, useful in almost any situation in WvW, just as annoying to 1v1 as Thief is, and has a ton of utility for helping out in groups situations, whether it’s a large group or roaming group.

Sorry guys, Arenanet employees are busy this weekend. As many of us have noticed already, most of them seem to be tagged up as “Anet” and playing on JQ server…

Seriously, I really wish that that was a joke, and I’m sure it must be coincidence, but we have all noticed it since Friday night’s reset. We managed to count 9 Anet tags in a single Tower today on BGBL, which for most of us is the largest number of Anet tags we’d ever sen in a single place since Beta ended.

NA and EU champs should dish it out 1v1 after season 1

I dont think so, as far as Im aware NA servers have better around the clock coverage, so EU server would presumably dominate the EU times, NA->OCX/SEA would be lots of PvD for the NA server.

Yeah, and looking at the schedule they’ve set out, it seems likely that the winner of NA would just have to beat a pair or Tier 2 EU servers to be declared the winner somehow…

Nobody on SoR cares about the jump puzzles. In fact, most of us resent the people that take up queue spots that our guild members could have instead that are actually WvWing.

The EB Jumping Puzzle is an instance now, and doesn’t affect WvW ques anymore.
