Join a guild asap, you can chat to people via map talk but being in a guild allows you to have access to a regular bunch who will hopefully chat with you and help you out if you need it
I’ve been in the Raven Alliance since GW’s so always have a busy chat window, theres always peeps chatting away in Guild Chat, even when I’m not chatting myself it’s good to read what others are saying while I run to my next objective
Plus they have vent too (like most big guilds) so you can speak to them on the mic if you want.

I have new hardware on my custom built pc and have all the updated drivers and still get low fps seemingly at random.
Have we had any word from Anet about this? It seems that different people are blaming different things. So far it’s been Nvidia’s fault, Anet’s fault, Incompatible hardware fault, drivers fault, cpu’s fault etc. etc.
Has it actually been pinpointed why this is happenening?
I’ve used Avira for years along with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware pro and never had any problems with them having an effect on performance. Good AV in my opinion.

If you have an Nvidia card do you have Ambient Occlusion turned on? When I turned it on I’d get see through hills etc.
Hickeroar I reported some spam mails I got last night, theres a little exclamation mark icon that let me do so in the bottom middle of the mail window.

The beta drivers helped me out, just installed the new non beta drivers but haven’t yet tested.
Pre-beta drivers when I went to the Black Citadel I would sometimes drop fps so badly it would be like watching a slide show, alt tabbing to my desktop fixed it for a while. The beta drivers fixed this, heres hoping the new drivers do to.

Naughty I think too many people are having similar fps issues for it to be on our end. Either that or it’s the biggest coincedence in gaming.
I mean I can run all the modern games maxed out (anti-aliasing too) but Guild Wars 2 struggles in some parts, something is wrong. It’s not unplayable for me, it’s more of an annoyance why the fps are so sporadic

Notsure did you have ambient occlusion on? I put that on with the beta drivers and it kept making lots of things transparent. Turned it off, no more see through hills etc.
Downloading Speed keeps Dropping down to Zero. Is this Normal?

This happened to me on the headstart weekend, they released a patch but so many people were downloading it that my speed would drop to zero eveytime I tried to get it.

I hope this gets fixed soon, my comp. should make mincemeat of this game but I get bizarre frame dips. Turning shadows to high and using native in supersampling in options helped but I should be able to run the game with both of these options set highest.
I get this sometimes on other bosses. If I arrive late to an event type boss I’ll attack it but when it dies sometimes I get no reward. I think you have to do a certain amount of damage so you can’t show up late and slap it with a wand attack etc. to get the rewards.

I get a dodge bug (I hope it’s a bug and will be fixed) on my Sylvari Necro where I’ll dodge but if the enemy has started an attack I teleport back to my starting position so the attack hits me making dodge useless in most cases.

Well I think the logical explanation is that you can buy the keys from the gem store.
Yay, sigh.
Hi all,
I’m sorry if this topic has already came up but it’s annoying me. Why is the chest drop rate so high when the key drop rate is abysmally low? I’ve spoken to (I think) 3 people in game after 80 levels who have had a key drop. That sound logical? Since atm I have at least 60 chests. Look at the TP for chests, nuff said.
Thanks all that helps a lot.

Thanks, thats good to hear. I was worried if I maxed tailoring the armour would only have stats like power, vitality & healing power.
Hi all,
I recently got to level 80 and decided to start thinking about getting exotic armour. The thing is I see you can get 3 sets for level 80 from the dungeons. But I played the dungeons to death in GW’s so I don’t want to have to repeat this in GW2 (don’t get me wrong though, I’ll still play dungeons but just not 50 odd times) so I was wondering about my alternatives?
The 42k Karma armour I’ve heard doesn’t have very good stats so I was wondering if I max out tailoring will I be able to craft an exotic armour set that will allow me to pick which stats it has and allow me to add whatever runes I would like on it? This would allow me to keep exploring, doing events and working on tailoring etc.
Ps. I’ve also seen some exotic pieces for sale in the TP that look really good if you have all parts, can these be as good as the ones mentioned above?
Thanks for reading and any advice offered

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
Just went through the whole mission and after clear the beach was completed the last part wouldn’t trigger.
Also had to do the previous story mission a few times because either Trahearne or the full party would get stuck inside walls after the cutscene where you meet the Asuran party.
Oh and on Iron Marches every event I encountered and one of the Tasks (dogs in cages one) weren’t working tonight either.
But got to level 80 so not all bad
