Gold sellers can take their pm’s and shove em up their butt, I got all needed by playing, stop pm’ing me. It’s on par with phonecalls from India when you sit down to have your dinner
Is this going to get attention? Please look at this GW2 Dev’s it’s not an isolated issue!
(edited by Paul.4081)
Denial Of Service.5732 I hope you did some dungeons with Clint, he could prolly solo them
Did you give me 5 tokens or six, this being the most powerful dungeon in the world. You get the point
(edited by Paul.4081)
Maybe I’m spoilt by being in the same guild I was in in GW. I don’t really look out for players outwith my guildies
If I see peeps looking for one when I’m in towns I’ll try to get them invited. But most are just fellow spammers to me.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Necro, bug thread says it all.
Can’t edit my post???? But yeah your nose definetly feels pushed right up against the glass in this game. I’ve heard of people getting the FoV seasickness with it.
I’ve wanted a FoV option since day one which is bizarre seeing how it’s only console ports that usually lack this option and have me editing ini’s?
I got ressed in Orr by a Charr named “Rage Quit Inc”
Garenthal I know sarcasm and lies when I smell them. You have fun killing 40 undead to move 50 feet? Yeah, I believe that!
Maybe I should duplicate post this and blame it on Orr?
(edited by Paul.4081)
ColdEden don’t bother apologising, WvW is not even on the World Map afaik.
It’s like the Vista ones that have invisible walls so you can only do them as the devs decided. Fun, fun, fun
WvW for 100% is why none of my toons will last long in this game….no point. I’ve filled all my 5 slots but everytime I play them have a little voice at the back of my head saying (why bother?)
I read Guild chat all the time and a few guildies switched or something because our home server for WvW apparently sucks. What difference will a PvE’r who cares nothing but getting 100% make to that server?
Elite skills hmmm, so slow cooldown = most of the time I forget I have one. Someone else said in another thread. “In Guild Wars, your Elite was the backbone of your skills and on which your other skills were based!” I agree with that but….
In GW2, your elite = which cartoon you watched last.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Limited monsters but there are more, need to explore a bit. Not different monsters for every zone but once you get around you’ll see more.
Orr = We’ll make it hard by having so, so many of the undead that people hate it (some may even quit). Yay thats hard. Increase the aggro and make dodge useless.
Yeah I can understand that… but there’s many people that when asking for help are just like “No, I’ve done it before and don’t feel like doing it again.” WELL okay then.. might as well take group events out if people only do them once.
You in a guild? Not recruiting btw :P
There are random people that beg you for help, plead for 30 silver and that they’ll pay you back. I gave one such player 40 silver and the deal was pay me 10 silver back, they didn’t even do it. I’m sure many people have been burned lke that, it’s a shame greedy fools ruin that trust in games like these.
Get your meoow into a good guild I’d say, you’ll have more fun!
(edited by Paul.4081)
Xander I was helpy helperson in GW but theres only so long I can stand beside a follow the npc’s event that don’t move that I can stand in GW2. Those are the worst, everything else is aoe spam.
Xander I hope you are in a guild, that maybe another big hinderance, so many players in GW2 already in Guilds from GW. So they might stick to guildies only. Should be easy to join one though.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Well I thought that since this game wasn’t also coming out for consoles it would not have been rushed, guess I was wrong. Is it NC we have to thank for that, our own personal EA wannabe’s?
(edited by Paul.4081)
Sam, it beggars belief that they nerf dungeons, farm rates etc. etc. instead of attending all the countless event bugs. If I have to run past another event (or storymode) that have either npc’s running around while the benny hill theme plays or just not moving at all, I don’t know what I’ll do…..
Get your nerf staff onto other things please Anet for the love of god…..
(edited by Paul.4081)
If you preferred GW1, then it’s best advised that you go and play that. They made GW2 for a reason. They wanted it to be fundamentally different from GW1, they didn’t want to make the same game. They ended up detesting that skill system, which is part of the reason GW2 was born in the first place.
Are you speaking for them or yourself?
While I agree they probably made it to appeal to the widest audience possible, they risk alienating their biggest fans, risky business.
Whats next? premium BF…I mean premium GW2?
Sorry Fozee, it’s not you I’m having a go at
(edited by Paul.4081)
Fozee I can’t speak for everyone but my point is that you could drag someone off the street and let them play GW2, they’ll pick it up in minutes. Maybe that was Anets goal? But the flipside is you have skillhungry GW veterans that are almost going canniballistic for skills
Number of spells doesn’t mean much. It’s something to collect, but eventually it just got annoying and was unfair to new players regardless of their skill level. I very highly doubt anyone rated highly in tournaments would agree with the number of skills being relevant.
Are we both talking about GW1?
(edited by Paul.4081)

I agree 100%. Gw2 is failing to create a sense of accomplishment for players. Players love to showcase their toons and showcase their skills. Another major aspect Gw2 is lacking is rivalry between players…
This maybe true. In GW after I got my titles people would be like “Wow you got **** title how’d you do it?” etc. “Can someone help me with the Crystal Desert!” etc. etc. if I join your Guild will you guys help me…….
In GW2 things are obtainable by the average Joe (does the game even have titles?). Removing the need to join Guilds (after which the game is named), team up, ask for help etc. etc. Why would people ask for help or need it when the game has been dumbed down so much?
Sure people join our guild in game but most I bet join because the games name is Guild Wars 2 and think they should be in one. Then they’ll go off and solo the world like the rest of us.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Humposaurus sorry my qouting is on the blink again.
You say the system is flawless then go on to say that you think it lacks customisation by lack of skills, strange.
I agree with your second thought.
@Paul
Here you can find a list of all bugs confirmed by multiple players: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/necromancer/Necromancer-bugs-compilation-NB92-NT9/first
They are all in the first 5 post. They are hashes is doing a great job with this thread.
Nice, thanks for the link.
Quoting nachtnebel.9168 – “Fix the 92 confirmed bugs of necro skills and traits.” This if thats true.
Add Ghost Scrolls to the cash shop that last for 30 minutes and allow pve’rs to get WvW Completion bonus without torturing themselves. I know, won’t happen but I’d buy them if they did. I’ve heard about groups camping jump puzzles in there, whats to stop others doing the same to waypoints etc?
Hundreds of skills? Sure, but you can only use those 20 to be allowed to play with the so-called big boys? Also not revolutionary.
You sir were not very good at GW1 or didn’t play it. There is no other explanation for what you have just said. The vast majority of skills in GW1 were useful in the right build.
Anet talked big about revolution and GW2 is anything but. It’s pure theme park but with less rides.
I did play GW1. Mostly GvG and HoH. And in those areas, it was “this build or the highway.” And for PvE… I cannot remember all the times I was refused in a PUG because I did not have title X on level Y (Eye of the North and Nightfall) or I did not want to play build Z with those specific skills. And I remember all the 55 HP monks before they got nerfed. Just a few examples. So much for build diversity. Sure, you could fool around – on your own. But as soon as you joined other players, you had to use cookie cutters only.
Sounds like you just had very bad luck joining groups, I got asked to ping build almost everytime I joined sure. The ones that said “THIS BUILD OR LEAVE NUB!” I’d leave and join an over 12 year old party (or play it with Guild/Alliance), we’d go finish the dungeon and come back to see the same foolish kids still spamming “LFG Insert Dungeon NO NOOBS”
Well they can create minions which as we know from GW are dead flesh/bone, get life energy or whatever it’s called from the dead around them and my Necromancer causes poison with her wand and more, I think the person who created that pic. played Necro for a minute.
Rabbits, but I just can’t seem to stop.
I know what you mean, I hit one by accident doing a hearts quest with one of the Asuran gun things and got a new damage dealt achievement of about 26k. Been trying to beat that ever since
What I don’t get is how its the buyers fault for not reading up about the game before buying it. Have you ever considered the amount of people who have bought this game without any knowledge about it? Somebody might of wanted to keep it as a surprise (like me) or some people could of wandered into a shop and seen it on a shelf and thought “This game looks good, I’m going to buy this” .. the answer is no, no you didn’t. Just because some haven’t read up on a game doesn’t mean they cant voice their opinion about it.
This is like going to a shoe store to complain that the pair of shoes you bought there is not a shower. If you choose to ignore what you’re buying, the company is not to blame for it.
I played GW right up to the release of GW2, I wanted GW2 to be totally new and exciting so read next to nothing about it so that I’d be completely in the dark when I started. I know others did too.
“hardcore gamers” are the same people that buy a game on day 1…blast through it..then jump on the forums complaining that its rubbish and does not cater to them.
ow wait…
How do you “Blast through” Battlefield 3 multiplayer?
Easy….jump in a Tank
get it?
tough crowd…
/laugh :P

On my Necro when I dodge, I’ll cleary dodge the attack but get hit anyway, sometimes I even teleport back a few feet in the direction I dodged from which looks very weird (I doubt it’s lag). These are mostly from ranged attacks though.

I played Guild Wars for 5 years without PvP. Now it looks like I’ll only play GW2 for 3 weeks, suppose I should have read up before I bought it but got my moneys worth. Guess I can just uninstall now and focus on BL2.
I just don’t like it because why should I be penalised because I’m a PvE player? If I wanted to play WvW I would but I don’t. But to give me no option to do so if I want 100% map means I’ll move on sooner because a huge chunk of the game isn’t worth doing because I’ll never get 100% in it
Maybe make the prices increase for the amount of times you use it over an hour so that if you use it a few times to get around to meet people you don’ pay much but if you abuse it and teleport everywhere to do all the events you can get your hands on you pay fot it.
I get this too but only on Claw of Jormag requiring a restart to fix.
To Rok above I don’t have Ventrillo installed.
I seen a player downed on my minimap and said “hold on I’ll res you!” jumped off the hill I was on to go res. (this is when I realise I’ve switched to a lower zone and my HP’s are no longer 17k-ish.) Splat, I’m dead too.
Not for much longer I don’t think, maybe it’s because I played GW’s to death? Doing almost the exact same things all over again (Legendaries – FoW Armour, dungeons over and over and over – Deldrimor Title etc.) doesn’t interest me anymore and apart from that theres not much else to do. Since I’m not into PvP in this game I can’t even complete the world exploration. So many of the events I come across are bugged so limited to doing the same ones repeatedly.
It was fun for the first 3 weeks no question but I’ll be hanging with the Claptraps soon.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Risen and underwater ones that are packed way too close together. Oh and the wildlife that seem to all gang up on me. I’ll be fighting a veteran or champion and all of a sudden Bambi and friends come over and join in to help the monster, very annoying.
I’m disappointed about being forced to play WvW for 100% map completion and haven’t logged in since I learned this or had the desire too. I loved exploring the map more than the story and levelling up (not yet tried the dungeons). Now my favourite part is all but pointless, I find myself reading my Kindle instead.
I could play WvW but I only play PvP gametypes when crosshairs are involved. And I bought this game for the PvE.

Oh great I’m a Necro that uses Wand/Focus & Dual Daggers so I’ll have to get this or similar 4 times? I’ll be skipping them. Hooray for no grind.
Hi Lauren,
Are we only gonna see replies to issues you guys admit to? What construes an effective post? How do we offer advice to the dev’s?
(edited by Paul.4081)
I got a hell of a frame boost in Mass Effect 2 by changing from onboard sound (and disabling onboard sound in the bios) to having a soundcard, this game uses the same engine sooo…..
I also got a frame boost in UT3 when I selected my preferences emphasising quality (Nvidia control panel) with that which I found bizarre, why would a game run better when anti-aliasing was forced upon it by an Nvidia 9800 (and did indeed include AA) in an engine kinda famously reluctant with AA? I think the Unreal Engine is good but varied on results.
(edited by Paul.4081)
This is ruining the game for me and others, in certain areas it’s like kill 20 monsters, move 3 feet, kill another 20 monsters etc. etc. This is not fun!
I can’t even run past the monsters because I draw my weapons (without choice) and go to slow run mode when they tap me, get chained, knocked on my butt, pulled, stop attacking for no reason etc. etc.
I hated Battle for Lions Arch in GW’s for this reason, difficulty is not just throw 100 monsters at players. Well I guess it’s difficult but when you fight a monster in a zone and then have to kill 100 monsters for that one fight because they home in on you, yeah, thats a challenge when you have to also fight the monsters, brother, cousin, granny etc. It’s tedium ater a while when you have to kill everything within a mile just to move a short distance.
Space them out Anet when you have time!
(edited by Paul.4081)
To change power plan go to control panel and click on power.
Elandrian I have a lesser card than you (I think) Gtx 580 (Asus with Asus mobo and soundcard) 8 gig ram. I’m sure I read Anet are consulting with Umbra (Umbro?) engine or somthing to help optimise?

Humming sound problem during world event bossess
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Paul.4081
I got that last night, relogging into the game fixed it. My soundcard is an Asus Xonar DS, been a while since they (Asus) updated the drivers.
(edited by Paul.4081)
BeatTakeshi.3924: = It is developers like ANet that cause pc players to move over to consoles.
Are you kidding me? Read the BF3 forums for 5 minutes and you’ll see why players choose consoles. It’s the same reason why so many films that come out nowadays are aimed at the tweens market! They are suckers and easy to milk cash from!
(edited by Paul.4081)
Why call people noobs though, not everyone are tech savvy Asurans, how about helping them out with your infinite wisdom instead of being so rude?
No-one deserves to be called a noob, except people like me who are :P
Ps. People claiming poor optimisation might be right, I can run BF3, Skyrim and Pacman maxed on my rig. Annoying thing is that I think it’s on the Unreal engine? Maybe I should install the drivers that I used for Bioshock?
(edited by Paul.4081)
Cbuzz how about contributing instead of just calling everyone a noob? People having issues with the game, help them instead of just insulting them. Stop trying to drag this community down to the murky depths of BF3’s
If you have nothing constructive to offer, then shut up :P
