I like the platforming, especially jumping puzzles it adds some fresh air to the gameplay. If you release your mouse button too soon or not soon enough you’ll miss the jump so a lot of it is learn to accurately gauge.

This comment is mainly to show how most of the RNG-hater focus way to much on the RNG as being used in GW2, forgetting that is can also be used in a good way. It has really become a blind hate where the focus has moved to the unrealistic low chance something might never drop instead of the mathematical numbers of runs a RNG item would take you to drop based on a given drop-rate.

(yet another GW1 comparison) I loved bringing ‘useless’ skills and builds to pve in GW1… it was fun. Who cares about performance as long as you’re having fun?

+1 for a ton more skills.

Same, I used to make builds for me and my heroes all the time and would be constantly using new combinations. I didn’t just grab the latest and greatest builds from PvX then moan the game had few usable skills. Got 50/50 in my HoM this way so guess it proves that more skills were viable than people care to admit.

I confess though, I still had those builds for dailies pugging with people wearing blinkers who couldn’t see past PvX Wiki.

Do you have performance crippling reflections turned off in gfx settings like the rest of us? My puny Gtx 780 ti can’t handle those.

Click the Support link up the very top then the “Submit a Request” at the top right. I changed mine a few month back when MS locked me out of my email address. They changed it pretty quick if I remember.

Download speed jumps all over the place between 50-200kb/sec then once I’ve download about 12-18mb it usually plops to zero. Tried a few times now with no movement on the progress bar.

The Black Lion Coxes are complete garbage. There’s nothing more disheartening than getting a key after completing a map only to get a trio of kittykat kitty kat katty kitty boosters or equivalent tripe.

I just hope that keys rewarded for mapping aren’t accidently effected too and fixed in 6 months.

Thanks Hidori, that’s pretty much what I was running but at x4. Just needed that compatibility flag you posted and now I’m back to looking good and no flickering with post processing on.

JohnnyS I remember in Borderlands 2 the anti aliasing wouldn’t work unless I had both settings at x2 or x4, if one was at x2 and the other at x4 it wouldn’t work.

Exact same thing here on 780ti. Same compatibility flag.

The only way I found to remove the flickering and occasionally having no textures (everything is grey) was to turn off Post Processing. Even with Post Processing off however my character selection screen remains all messed up. When I turned it (PP) back on later in LA everything went black with coloured outlines.

Everything else works fine, I even tried PP on with the new light thing off, same result until PP is fully off.

Update – Weird, I went to Hoelbrak and the giant ice sculptures were rainbow coloured & Asura gates flickered. I alt tabbed to say turning off Post didn’t work but when I alt tabbed back everything was normal again.

Re-do your keybinds so you never have to use a mouse for anything other than camera control.

Also one option to never get a headache again is to decapitate yourself.

I asked about this ages ago, they won’t change it. GW2’s ui/overlay elements are all about invasiveness and clutter, not being able to see GW2.

Wish they would replace the pointless skill effects box with a ‘Show/Hide Massive Tool Tips’ box though.

Jesus, how long you been playing, this is Anet’s game and you will play how they want. Don’t find it fun? Buy some gems and don’t find it fun in 5.1 surround sound. Anet recommends 7.1 and sells the gems to upgrade

Calm down everyone. Jon Peters explained the process and decisions behind it in this forum, and it makes sense. The good news is that when you’re 80 you do indeed have plenty of points to unlock everything, so if the process didn’t accurately interpret your prior build you will be able to fix it… in time. Yeah, for some people it’s not ideal, but it’s not permanent or irreparable.

I remember i used to sometimes see a drastic fps drop when I opened the inventory or BL panels. I always wondered if the torn edges or massive xp bar that we can’t remove maybe contributes to the low performance in some way.

There was a mod that removed all the junk from the UI including the top right naggy ones. It was glorious having a screen full of GW2 without the shopping list simulator, I was just too worried I’d get banned for using it

I’d enjoy my winnings in a hot country with palm trees and beaches while waiting for something worth buying to show up in the GW2’s cash shop.

Since then I still frequently target monsters out of range and obstructed (same time), monsters that aren’t aware of my presence instead of the 5 surrounding me. The occasional white rabbit instead of the monsters kicking my head in too. I think they fixed the yellow moa at Claw though, haven’t attacked it instead of the shield for a while.

Ps. Yes I use auto target a lot because I can’t find my cursor in the heat of battle a lot.

Used to love getting unidentified dyes from harvesting plants, it was my only reason to do so it turns out since now I don’t bother. Still logging and mining until they come up with a way to spoil that.

It’s mostly all doable for any player once you get access to heroes and a handful of decent builds. One of the best games I ever played.

You might need a NPE though because you can control/choose all 8 skills of up to 7 party heroes, this is obviously beyond the capacity of human thought and is why we dance for cows now instead of feeding them.
