Things like the Trade Post are still hard to navigate with no option to search for certain items. The Trade Post also lack’s the ability to refine your search.
Not being able to search for armour types for just your current toon without drudging through tons of pages of irrelevant armour is a pain. I use the wiki now to check armours because the TP by comparison is hopeless.
When there are too many items, people complain that gems prices are too high ( with which I do agree so I like, for the change, no new items in gem store every week ), when there are too few ( like now ), people complain, as well.
Seriously, it’s good to have some pause with the new gem-only content added every week. The prices of gems drop down, which is good for most of the people. Let us breathe some fresh air.
Thing is though I’ve never irl not went back to a shop because it had too much stuff. I have not gone back to shops that had very little stock. Maybe Anet should have held off on releasing some earlier cash shop items and waited till the Christmas season. Through the year sure people probably get fed up of constant cash shop skins etc. It’s Christmas though, if ever there was a time to flood the cash shop with whimsical purchase items, THIS IS IT!
I mean I’ll probably buy games for friends on Steam as usual just because it is Christmas and my purse strings (cough! In butch, manly voice, I mean wallet) loosen
Signet of Vampirism – Passive: Leech 5% hp from all allies each second.
If an ally dies while under the effects of Signet of Vampirism two masterless bone minions are summoned. Any enemies attacked by these bone minions will target the nearest player.
Patch update: Masterless bone minions health increased by 500% and will now only hit an enemy once before moving onto the next. They now also attack yellow named creatures

Better get a move on, that’s just the first tier
Random, Number, Generator :P
Using certain skills the camera readjusts so I’m looking face to face at my toon while the monsters are off screen and I have to spin the camera 180 degrees to be facing them.
This has so far happened with…
Thief – Steal
Mesmer – Phase Retreat
Elementalist – Updraft
Ps. Free camera is off.
- Destructible objects are immune to bleeds
I’m going to be honest, i lol’d at this one…of course they don’t bleed, they are objects, they aren’t alive!
But stone elementals and ghosts etc. you are ok with?
When your bins are full and you take them to your nearest shop to sell the contents.
Latest while mapping Hirathi Hinterlands. I’d already hit the two ghosts attacking me with rebounding shots from the ghost on the floor. Instead of auto target finishing them off, I target a ghost I can’t see because it’s completely behind a wall.
Someone needs to come up with an equivalent picture for what happened to MMOs the way this illustrates what happened to FPS.
That picture could also be used for other game types. The left one is like a map of part of the early Resident Evil games and the right picture is pretty much exactly what Resident Evil 5 is (haven’t played 4 or 6).
There’s another thread in the bugs section too.

Next time someone pings something, you can just ping a worthless grey item instead for laugh
Thing is, if someone pings a precursor I’ll just think. Lucky drop. If someone pinged a stack of porous bones at least I’ll know that some effort went into obtaining them and respect the player more
Thing is though. I used a proggy to check my computer performance while running GW2. I went to the Black Citadel (which ran better at launch then it does now I might add so good job performance team) and was dropping from 60 to 40fps. The proggy (gpu-z or something) was showing that my graphics card, memory and processor were all hovering around the 70% mark while this was happening. Our computers have the capabilities but GW2 is not utilising them. With other games like BL2 etc. I don’t have this problem.
We shouldn’t have to jump through all these hoops. The game is simply not running up to par in the year of 2013.
no need for the Vsync, all it does is artificially lower your fps to begin with.
And removes screen tearing. I always use Vsync because screen tearing looks horrible. It’s not as bad in this game as others when Vsync is off but still.

You are not alone. In the first few days I got the achieve and was well on my way to getting the repeatable one. Now I can go entire songs without getting a single note even though I press the bell on time. It’s unplayable now. I asked in map chat if anyone else was having the same issue last time I tried it, four people said yes.

I think the best answer with regards to Scarlet is. Her face isn’t on the box! That pretty much sums up the current GW2 experience.
If I bought the Texas Chainsaw blu-ray based on the cover and it turned out to be a film about fishing. Would I be kitten ed? Probably

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but GW2 is horribly optimised. End of. You can sit here and offer advice and/or listen to it but you’ll just be wasting your time. LA will still have crappy fps regardless of how many hoops you jump through, Black Citadel the same. Anet optimise the game for their own computers, who gives a catbaby about the rest of the planet, right?
Expect fps boosters in the cash shop soon! Yes Anet, it’s that effing bad!

OP, is it the wooh, wooh, UFO sound? That happened to many of us a while back.
I’d recommend not focusing on your personal story as the main focus of your play time. They give good exp but they suffer from Anet and their methods of a challenge. By that I mean they add a ton of hp’s and CC to monsters you were killing in a third of the time in the map leading to it. Apparently at Anet, long winded fights = more fun. I usually sort out my inventory and salvage during PS veteran fights while my toon chips away at the too many hp’s in auto-attack.
Like I said, they give good xp but this is an online game after all but on saying that you could always join a guild and ask for help on your story to reduce the tedium. At least you’ll have people to talk to while the sponges soak it up.
The two biggest fps killers for me are reflections and supersampling. You could try turning off reflections (post processing too unless you like glowing water) and setting Render Sampling to Native.

I’m not an old lady so I’ll never find crafting fun. Cooking is probably the least bad but the rest are terrible.
OP, if you don’t lie the game’s mechanics, why not leave the game?
/sarcasticclapwhilerollingeyes
It’s funny that people are automatically assuming that OP’s 3 is exploit abuse. Anet really does have you over a barrel.
“Play your way!” remember that?

I think it would be hilarious if every single player of the game switched to Warrior or Guardian for a couple of weeks. Think they’d notice? Or release heavy armour cash shop skins only that fortnight?
I guess I am too disgruntled a little, my main is a Necro (named after my GW main, also Necro) and I’ll never change that or give up on it, that’s Anet’s call. When I first heard about the new heal skill I immediately thought of Insidious Parasite from GW. I was mistaken to do so. I was so hoping that it was so and maybe upcoming skills could include things like elite spiteful spirit where I once again could play the type of Necro that I miss so dearly.
(edited by Paul.4081)
Have you tried refining them?
Why? I couldn’t care less about ascended. Do we have to refine junk to get rid of it?
Let’s face it these items are hassle inducing junk items we can’t sell. I’m surprised we don’t get the confirmation box asking us to type the name of them before we can delete.

I think they need to make the LS if they continue with it like X-Files monster of the week episodes where even if you missed the story arc you’re not in the dark. The main story should never be a one time only deal. How many books have missing chapters for new readers on purpose?
At this point, I’m like half expecting a clone of Rita Repulsa to appear with all of the monster of the week stuff going on. Will Scarlet become another Rita LOL?
That picture makes me think of two words (syllables?) “TA DAAAAAA (jumps out of Birthday cake)!”
I think they need to make the LS if they continue with it like X-Files monster of the week episodes where even if you missed the story arc you’re not in the dark. The main story should never be a one time only limited chance of understanding deal. How many books in a series have missing chapters for new readers on purpose?
Maybe make LS episodes re-introduce the skill capping by adding a monster/boss with a story to accompany it where we can get new skills outwith the current “Here’s a new skill, build a bridge!” and have that boss stay around. Skill capping was excellent in the first game.
(edited by Paul.4081)
I just delete all that rubbish now.
Same here, I wish they could add an inventory option to auto trash items that you can set by right clicking on it.
This would be excellent. Only thing is, some people who bought Abyss, Celestial or the new cash shop ones for multiple toons could get a bit annoyed if it happened. Tbh who could blame them as some dyes are 100g-ish. I think we’re stuck with the poor dye situation.

Trahearne is Keyser Söze. Oh, you said NO spoilers…..:P
I think it depends on the player. I’ve tried some professions that didn’t feel right until I re-rolled them with a different race. For eg. I tried a Charr Engineer but didn’t enjoy it then re-rolled the character as an Asuran and loved it. Same thing happened with my Warrior, I created a Norn warrior but something felt off until I re-rolled as Human and she’s now level 80

Anet need to make those new skills HIGHLY DESIRABLE, ie…a little OP and then later on after everyone has had fun with them balance them/tone them down.
..so that everyone can spend the following year screaming about nerfs and how they want their 25 skill points back.
Vs
How players are laughing at how bad they are and not even bothering to get the skill points to get them now, because unless buffed they won’t get on players skill bars…
Really, if they said they were aiming at being slightly OP to begin with and would be balanced in the next balance patch would be a better way to go. New skills are mean’t to be exciting not inferior to what you already have.
This pretty much sums it up for me. I have 496 spare skill points on my Necro and I’m not buying the new skill. It’s more fun to make it to the 500 mark than get the skill.
I sell the exotics and pre-cursors that drop for me and use the decent drop rates of Black Lion Chest keys to get tickets or ticket scraps which I exchange for weapons of the month to sell on the TP.
No wait, I was dreaming. I farm nodes and do the meta boss farm train.
Welcome to GW2, where your “Personal Story – It’s All About You” requires you to party up in a dungeon to complete and map completion requires you to map areas not on it.
I’m honestly surprised you don’t have to do PvP before you can use the TP
(edited by Paul.4081)
I used to use SweetFX until this…
http://ipkonfig.com/guild-wars-2-bringing-antialiasing-to-the-game
I also turn off post processing, reflections and in game FXAA. Looks much better than SweetFX ever made it imho but to each their own.

I’d love to see the Crystal Desert again after all this time and judging by the threads I’ve read others would too. Only thing is if the map/s were too good, everyone would make a b line for it/them and leave other maps completely barren or they’d all flock to the same place for two weeks like with LS then go back to whatever.
What am I saying? I just described GW2 as it is. Give us new maps, at least they’d be permanent. Use Southsun as a stepping stone instead of just giving up on new maps completely. Southsun is abandoned more than other GW2 maps for reasons (unless Karka Queen v’s Train taking place).
Christ, when I couldn’t do the Rubik’s cube first time did I give up? No, I peeled all the stickers off and put them back on so it looked like I managed it :P
This the second heavy female armour I’ve gotten that shows a blatant weakness. Only a moron wouldn’t know to go for the neck for an easy win in a real battle. The other was human cultural T2 (I bought a cheapo helm from the TP and trasmuted the T2 one because of this). I just hit 80 on my Warrior and all I see is the skin neck ring that sticks out like a sore thumb.
Could you please add some neck armour to certain helms like the ones in the screenshots and the one from wiki. This also adds to the threads about baldy females I guess and having neck armour added to these helms would be double win. For players who like their necks showing add both options in cultural and exotic or something but lets face it this is like designing a military tank then adding a patio door.
Hopeful but doubtful thanks in advance.

Here’s another from my Warrior. I was doing a PS mission and got attacked by 3 spiders, I pressed 1 to attack one of the remaining two (circled in red) beside me after I killed the first and look what I target (circled in white). Even if I was ranged I don’t think I could’ve hit that. Luckily the spiders were close so I kept auto attacking but that’s not really the point.
Sorry. Nope. You can do the little solo end thing to inject the antitoxin and bring the tower down. But to be honest, I had no idea whatsoever of why I was doing the things I was doing. I got an achievement and some 3 color key trophy that I have no idea what to do with. Got a cool backpack skin for my Asura Engi that I hardly ever play, even before I stepped away form the game.
This is my biggest gripe with it too. I missed all the LS episodes before the tower. Scarlet’s recap at the end of it was like watching a 2 minute You Tube clip showing various scenes from the Lord of The Rings trilogy if I hadn’t seen it or read the books.
It kind of made me think “Who am I?” for my toon. Going through the tower and killing the boss to be rewarded by the highlights of someone else’s game time from a character I’d only heard about on the forums.
Since the other thread was deleted for whatever reason, caps? Thought I’d continue here since it is still terrible and needs looking at.
Brisban Wildlands – Dual Axe Warrior.
I opened one of the Wintersday presents and Skritt popped out, I killed 3 and of the two left, one was standing slightly out of melee to my left (I was almost facing it) and the other was pretty far to my right, off camera and couldn’t see it. I hit throw axe assuming the appropriate target would be the only skritt on my screen. Alas I was mistaken and I chucked my axe at the one offscreen. Couldn’t get a screenshot.
Everywhere – Dual Pistol Thief
Obstructed targets or out of range enemies are chosen as appropriate targets except when in fights where it’ll be yellow named targets that become priority.

GWAMM here…and I usually see another gwamm title in my dungeon groups, or at least a title associated with the Hall of Monuments.
Same, I see enough titles around to think that there’s still a significant GW1 population in GW2.
/flex
Champion of the Gods here :P
There’s at least two other COTG in my guild and I’ve seen a couple in Queensdale too. Also see a few GWAMM and plenty of other HoM titles ranging from Traveller all the way up. Maybe Maguuma has a lot of old GW players?
I got loads of mini’s in GW for my HoM but can’t be bothered in this game. In GW I always carried around my fav mini in my bag but don’t in this game. They should’ve been slightly improved over GW minis. Such as giving a slot for them or having options to always be active (or always activate in towns, similar to GW hide helm option) and it would have been great. Somehow they made them worse and I couldn’t care less though. I even put 3 Jenna’s, the one from the tower and the 3 from buying gems into my bank without using first and haven’t since.
I always remember in the first game coming up to a Xunlai Chest and there would always be at least 5 mini’s running around their owners. It’s rare in this game if see a mini at all in LA. Sad really

Sometimes out in the open world I get sporadic frame drops in areas I didn’t before. If I delete the local.dat file located at C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 it’ll go back to normal. Other places are just badly done I guess*.
I posted in a performance thread a while back that GW2 was only using 70-75% of my memory, graphics card and cpu while I was getting frame dips in places (LA, Black Citadel etc.) where deleting the dat file didn’t help. *There’s also a bunch of trees in Diessa Plateau with some black bears that if I go into I drop about 30 fps whereas the rest of the map is a constant 60. We were told months ago that they have a team working on performance but not much has changed and now it’s tumbleweed on the subject.
(edited by Paul.4081)
I hated having to do WvW for map completion and avoided it for months and months even +1’d a lot of threads prrobably about 9-11 months ago requesting it changed and look how that turned out.
Best bet is just keep popping into WvW and hope your server owns the map you need or even just areas you need. I got lucky on Maguuma one day and we had all of them. I ran around and got everything in a few hours.
Same issue here and only in Queensdale since last patch. This is without question an Anet bork. If this is your solution to champ trains Anet, please try harder.
I think since I am from the UK, have a different isp than others with this problem from Australia, US, etc. etc. The common denominator is Anet.

Well I seen the legendary bow in use when I fought Maw recently and seeing pink ponies fly at it is your answer. I felt like I was playing a game made for little girls when I seen that
Said it before and asked for the option to remove a lot of UI elements also but…Imagine watching a new blu-ray or dvd you bought that has a chapter select or other films you might like menu at the top right that you can’t get rid of while you’re watching it. Would anyone, Anet included, enjoy this on their tv screens?
/quotefail of Danikat
Not to mention that if you aren’t interested in ascended these items are just unsellable junk hassle that you have to constantly delete. I honestly wish I could just choose a box at login that gives me no more of them because I’m sick to death of having to repeatedly trash these three clutterjunks from my inventory. The rewards should take into account that many people are not into ascended and give an option like in story rewards when you can choose a box. Something like either 100 fragments or if you prefer, 100 copper.
You mean you don’t enjoy spending 5-10 seconds of a fight where all you do is stare at the screen while the enemies have their fun but not you? You obviously have no clue what fun is!
In PvE there is nothing more fun than this, I wish Anet would add more of it. Maybe they can make it so I just log in and watch my toons health decrease for the entirety of my login experience with absolutely no control over said toon. That would be my perfect gaming experience.
I even wrote a song about it.
Immobilise, immobilise, limp, knockdown, yeah, knockdown, knockdown, knockdown, knockdown, immobilse yeah!
Knockdown, limp, too long poison, immobilise, immobilise limp.
Chorus
Knockdown, knockdown, knockdown,knockdown, knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown,knockdown.

Thanks Keenan good to know, I was about to report another issue but it turned out Scarlet was invading. I even logged out to try and fix it through force of habit
Twilight Assault was permanent
but they took out an existing path because of it, so the amount of content is still the same
Just like Teq was permanent and look how that turned out. I was making my way to Orr on an alt. and Teq popped, what a lonely sight it was. If by adding content Anet’s only method is replacing existing or by making a few tweaks (cough, T3, fiasco) they need to seriously rethink things. Even games like CoD which is pretty much the same game pumped out every year makes more effort.
The heavy flame armour in the cash shop is a perfect example of this games current direction. A lazy and talentless one.
