Theyre not being “fresh” at all. They are also doing a complete 180 on their manifesto.

THAT is why you are seeing complaints from a lot of players. All they want is for a dev to respond to these complaints, and the devs just arent doing it.

isnt it time to forget that kitten manifesto soon? yeah, they changed their mind, havnt you sometimes? im also starting to get insanly tierd of all complains on this and other forums. i try to come here looknig for USEFULL info, guides, help and other various
well cheers! things, but everytime its filled with unhappy whinnig ppl. EVERYTIME! if i was so unhappy and miserable about just about EVERYTHING and NOTHING i sure would leave. maybe come back when next patch arrives to check that out, maybe. i might be uniqe in that matter, who knows. just grow up or something, will you? (and not just you, but all other who complain, youre only one of em and i happend to use you and quote you, could be anyone). what happend to the small thing called FUN that ppl used to have when playing games? and again – if its not fun, pick another game.

im just so tierd to see all complains and useless whine. grow up, get over it and lets play!

For me I couldn’t change my mind after I told millions I was going to do something, that would make me a lia….ohhh!

Selon I played GW1 for 5 years and bought this game in the trust that it would be along the same lines as advertised/promised. Complaints are a bit out of hand but they are also justified. If you bought a PS3 game in a Xbox 360 case but the retailer told you it was Gears of War 4 for PS3 (don’t worry) but turned out to be for Xbox. You wouldn’t complain?

Combat lacks: anticipation > dodge/block.

Thing that gets me about dodge is that if you don’t press it at the right time, you’ll dodge the attack for the animation but you’ll get dragged back/teleport back to get hit.

I’m not sure if that (or this) makes sense or if it only happens to me, but so many, many times I’ll dodge a projectile then it’ll turn into a super homing projectile and hit me anyway and teleport me back three feet to the direction I dodged from.

That sounds a lot like “rubberband” lag. I’ve done that a few times lately as well, likely as a result of the servers being so busy this weekend.

It’s not just this weekend, it happens a lot, I seem to teleport back to monsters to get hit. I seriously doubt it’s lag/rubberbanding. It’s very like rubberbanding but just if I don’t dodge at the exact time, I’ll get pulled back so the attack can hit me mid dodge (I teleport back halfway through a dodge roll).

I should probably try to record what I’m talking about on fraps or something.

Tinfoil hat on-
Wonder if NCSoft has any say in content of this game as they are technically the company that owns them.

Much like EA has ruined games run by studios like Anet.

Just curious.

I thought of EA/Dice when I read about this.

Why couldn’t they have added new super rare weapons to the Champions around the world like the ‘Design a Weapon’ in GW that gave us the frog scepter etc. they had same stats as other weapons but still people wanted them badly.

I’ll see how this turns out but I probably will quit if I have to constantly upgrade my gear every few months. It’s already enough of an annoyance to now realise the exotics on my toons are now outdated.

Varl someone suggested that in game to me (maybe it was you), lowering sound quality. I’d prefer keeping sound quality as high as it can be though.

I don’t think I’m being stubborn for the sake of it to prefer a fix. I mean, it’s honestly not that big of a deal, but it is annoying.

Kierg don’t misunderstand guilds (I’m not promoting or recruiting) but they won’t pressure you into doing anything you don’t want to (if they do, bad guild lol). My guild atm, I just love being in because they ramble away in chat and it gives me something to read while I do what I wanna do eg. running from one point to another when map chat is quiet. Feels less lonely

I type in Anet employees names into Dogpile when they reply to us mere mortals. They seem to be all ages. As long as they are up for Star Wars/Indiana Jones etc. etc. references they are ok by me

If they use some horror film references I might just send them Christmas card! Although I’m sure there must be some Evil Dead/Bruce Campbell ones in there somewhere.

Kumu you are correct but lets face it, many people will think about “Whats my ultimate goal, whats my godly weapon I am aiming to wield!”

Also Minos, I said this in another post, Borderlands 2 also has a pathetic ultra stingy loot system and many players are giving up on it due to that. We need the loot. ME2 I couldn’t care less about loot because the story is what kept me going but in games like GW2 and BL2, we needs the loots and shinies

Seriously though. What do you think could be done about the grind factor? Me personally as soon as I seen the requirements for Legendaries was an instant “NO!”. I got almost everything there was to get in GW1 and never felt like I was grinding. Just slowly saving up. Legendaries are just way too many hoops.

“The response was a resounding “Nah, no thanks.” With reasons generally being related to hearing that the game was “too grindy.”

Ouch, considering it was made with no more grind in mind (poetry).

That said, if your friends are thinking about legendaries as a new player.

I tried to get my brother into the game but he said he doesn’t have the time. But he constantly buys me CoD type games so that I’ll play with him in co-op. Some people are difficult to convince to play GW2

the forums can sometimes be negative and grumpy but that does not reflect the opinion on the majority of the playerbase, most gamers are too busy enjoying their time playing the game instead of posting, so naturally angsty players are more vocal. Excelsior

I can only speak for myself but I’m only negative and grumpy sometimes on the forums because I care.

The white knights try to dismiss any and all complaints however legitimate they might be as trolling. What they need to realise is that GW2 isn’t the perfect game, there is room for improvement and Anet are capable of it.

Can We Replace Dynamic Events In The Dailies

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Paul.4081

Paul.4081

Tbh, the “hardest” for me is 15 different mobs.

If you have difficulty with DEs, either go to WvW, where you can get it within a few mins, depending on your server strength moment or Harathi Hinterland within about 30mins.

I hope Anet find a way to seperate WvW/PvP dailies/monthlies and PvE ones. Like the way they have started going on the skills.

This is one of the lonelier MMO games I’ve played. Even back when it was just released you would be with piles of people but not really playing with them, you’re more just corralled together with all the sociability of cattle.

That is very true, I’m exploring all areas again just to shake up the DE’s I do for Karma. In the Sylvari starting area there was me and one other guy doing the DE where the Frog champion turns you into a crab etc. We had to really work at it

I have to admit it was so much more fun than when you have 50 people spamming aoe spells that makes it so you can’t even see the thing you’re supposed to be attacking.

When we done this, I felt like I was looking out for the other guy and would draw the frogs attention when he got downed. I’d never get to do this if 50 players were all spamming an instawin.

Bots are far from gone, they just all moved elsewhere. I don’t see them in starter zones anymore, they are all in orr.

Ah, so thats where they all are. I recently re-installed the game but always read the forums. I hadn’t seen a single bot after hours of play. I’m not saying they don’t exist by any stretch of the imagination but never seen any of the naked ranger/bear trains in the time I’ve played since I re-installed.

I still tend to avoid Orr if possible so been doing DE in lower areas for my karma. I still have an unfinished story in Orr so no doubt I’ll get to see them eventually.

I created an Asuran Warrior last night. When I got to Metrica Province it was a complete ghost town (Darkhaven). Such a shame, it put me off playing her and went back to my Necro. Then I went to The Grove to buy a cultural scepter for my Necro and only bumped into 3 people

I can’t help but think the loot drops etc. has something to do with this. BL2 has an abysmal drop rate too (you mostly get garbage. Bazillions of guns but you’ll get the same handful over and over) and now people are quitting because they are tired of no reward for hours spent.

well the GW1 set up for skills is a blessing and a curse at the same time . there are tons of awesome builds you can make but at the same time you could make some abolutely hideous ones too.

Choice is always a good thing though! I’d rather make a horrendous bar and learn from it than be force fed someone elses idea of a bar and be stuck with it forever (weapon bars in GW2).

I got to 80 in a couple of weeks on my main. I didn’t rush it, I just couldn’t wait for the game to come out and played a plenty when it did. I wasn’t thinking “MUST BE FIRST TO GET TO 80” or anything. I’d been waiting for the game for a couple of years so played in excess when it released. Bet I’m not the only one.

Thing is when I first played through I was exploring it too methodically because of vistas/poi/etc. I assumed Anet had a reason to guide us to them. They did, cheap cash sink waypoints!

Amen, in the first game I would map travel all over the place to help guildies/alliance members. In this one I don’t do that as much because of this needless cash sink.

Maybe they could make it that you buy the waypoints (make it an achievement)? So you pay your 3 silver but after that it’s free. Or at least greatly reduced.
