It’s been said on here a dozen times before, SoR does not care about points. You can have all the keeps and towers, we just want to kill you over and over and over again.
You cant fault people for transferring to JQ. It’s the only NA server that offers an active population every hour of the day. It’s not dishonorable to want people to play with.
Is it a holiday week for SOR? The NASCAR starts this weekend and pretty sure senior citizens get free coffee at the international house of pancakes as well.

I have a feeling I would still love WvW if I was playing in a different tier. I find the tactics of Tier 1 to be very dull, trebs, trebs, trebs, and the occasional 20 golem rush. I miss the days of rams on gates and open field fights.
Aha I know that tactic for I have used it many times when leading. It’s the ’We stand no chance at taking a tower, so let’s attack a supply camp’ tactic.
There’s only so much a small 10 man team can do when the other 2 servers are running around with 30+ man zerg balls. I appreciate your tenacity, keep it up!

It’s an unresolvable issue since you can never determine the motive of the player which buys the upgrade. It’s something you should always plan for, thus make the effort to build counter siege before the push comes.
SoR has the same number of players during the week as it does on the weekend. Most players just burn themselves out from excess play and/or burn through all their siege.
JQ/SoS are seasoned Tier 1 servers with the experience to know that a match is a week long battle. SoR still has a lot of inexperience in its blood and runs a sprint at the beginning only to fade in the end.
You can’t fault JQ/SoS for what essentially amounts to superior tactics.
2nd and 3rd need to realize who the biggest threat is and double team them constantly in order to try and make up for other advantages #1 may have such as coverage. If they do not do that than they are not playing for first they are playing for second and the glorious right to play in T1 (which admittedly is where the most competitive PvP occurs during prime time).
If JQ holds on to win then I will tip my hat to a worthy opponent. SoR’s biggest problem is itself, all the players that refuse to communicate through map and/or voice chat.
PRX still giving us fits after 9 weeks of not playing you. Your refusal to let us upgrade Dawns Eyrie is admirable and MERC/One still being opportunistic warriors I remember. Swords on Dawns means 5 trebs going up on WH its like clockwork.
I hope that the new scoring system keeps us in close proximity. I would be up for matches against you two, BG, and Kain but anything else would be a disappointment after this week.
The maximum number of people on a given map is constant across tiers. It is irrelevant that you are in Tier 1. The fact that you feel the need to mention it makes me question everything else you have to say.
You are playing a staff elementalist, casting at ~1,200 range from your targets, using ground targetted AOEs and a few single target abilities on tab-targetted opponents, from the safety and comfort of your friendly zerg. The experience of a melee or mid-range player would likely have differed significantly. Culling isn’t even a concern for you, and this video doesn’t show a darn thing.
I used to have an issue where players would not cull until they were on top of me and I was half dead. Now players cull at a distance that is outside of my 1200 range. That is a significant improvement to me albeit not perfect as the poster below you mentions my servermates not culling at close proximity but seeing them is not a priority.
Here’s an uneditted 45 second clip from a fight we had at blue bay last night in Tier 1. I believe the culling is working much better and have had no problems since the last patch.

Pretty much every SoR forum warrior is in CDS. People call Indo a troll but I think thats just some past history in another game. I’ve always found him to be intelligent and insightful.

You guys spent an entire week complaining that we were not bringing our full force to the battlefield and spent the entire next week complaining that we were spawn camping you.
Ive thoroughly enjoyed the ascension of Sanctum of Rall from #17 to #2 in the overall rankings, however, this week is our first in Tier 1 and I am a bit taken back
We lost our home BL last night to the combination of 7 Omegas, 22 Superior Trebs and 5 Superior Cats. While the fights were amazing and immensely enjoyable its hard to look veyond the fact that someone paid $200 to take a keep that we just retook 15 minutes later.
There is no way I can compete with that kind of investment.
When we lost to BG, I never felt that they were better than us actually the opposite. Our tactics were always far superior but they just had the numbers.
I don’t feel like that in this match up at all. I feel like I am getting by backside whooped by two servers full of extremely skilled players with superior tactics.
I remember camping spots for days in Everquest, sometimes only to walk away with nothing.

Camping in Everquest was an enjoyable experience. You would kill a creature and have tine in between respawns to do other things. You could socialize with your guild or group, you could grab a drink, you could tab down and check the net. The whole experience was leisurely and relaxing.
Todays modern MMOs require you to be an energy drink consuming crack fiend. You have to hit the right combination of 17 buttons for 45 minutes straight or you fail and have to start over. The whole experience is awful and I firmly believe that most players that do dungeons do not enjoy them and only do them for the perspective loot. Which is why rewards have become so important because these games can no longer sell players on an enjoyable experience.
It’s nice to see there are so many other players out there like me. I will plod my way through this monthly but I am disappointed to see dungeons for the 5th month in a row.
I am all for open world group content and wvw but dungeons require more concentration and focus than I am willing to put into a leisurely video game.
Run this combo frequently, the ele can disable anyone long enough for the warrior to land a kill shot. You’re not going to be able to kill large groups of people but small groups of 3 or less will die quickly and quietly.
You complain about the daily; I complain about the monthly that forces one to do Fractal dungeons. I have yet to complete a monthly since the game launched.

Last monthly I completed was in September. The October monthly had regular dungeons and the November-January monthlys have had Fractals.
Hoping for a change come February otherwise I may break down and do a Fractal.
I don’t want to fight SoR ever again. Even though they outnumbered and ground us to a pulp, their forum warriors were much worse than anything they could dish out in game. As much as I don’t want to wish them success, I’d like them to stay in t1 indefinitely .
I wouldn’t mind playing TC again somewhere down the road. Some of the 1s and 2s small group fights I’ve had this week have been some of the best I’ve had. AL has some really good duelists in it and I know most of Caedas has been very appreciative of fight club this week.
I dont understand why it has become the accepted norm that the best gear has to come from dungeons/raids. Legendaries requiring dungeon tokens doesn’t bother me because they are suppose to be just that ’Legendary’.
But Ascended gear should be obtainable through all methods of play, dungeons, crafting, karma, WvW. I am extremely disappointed to see that I am still forced to do content that I do not wish to do in order to be able to compete on an even plqying field.
I don’t know who you are, but to the human (or norn?) Mesmer from SoR wielding Sunrise that I dueled in Tarnished Coast Valley keep in EB just a few minutes ago, thank you for the duel. Though I lost, that was the most fun I’ve had in ages, haha!
I want to apologize to TC for some of the unpleasant and nasty things Ive said over the course of the last month. Your server has been a classy and formidable opponent. I will be leaving this match up with many fond memories.

Wow guys really? I think you both missed his point, he doesn’t want to play a single player rpg up to level 80 and wants more player interaction…..is that so much to ask?

The reason most people don’t group for PvE content is because they don’t want to group for PvE content. If they offered a solo dungeon experience most players would do that as well.
I find it amusing that most of the bellyaching is coming from SoR when in all likelihood the SoR-TC-SBI match is one of the main reasons for this shuffle.
So the solution to an unbalanced match up is to create more unbalanced match ups?
After next week SoR, TC and FA will all be sent to the bottom 3 tiers. They will climb back up at the expense of every medium sized server in front of them. However, they will not climb together because they are not equal.
TC is in the worst position of all. They’ll be beat handily by BG next week. Fall to the bttom and get beat by SoR. Fall to Tier 8 and have to work their way back up.
Instead of 1-2 more weeks of unbalanced matchups were going to have 2-3 months of unbalanced matchups.
I play on Sanctum of Rall so obviously my opinion is going to be a bit bias but this seems absolutely absurd.
We just spent 5 months climbing from #17 to #2 in the overall rankings and assuming we finish 3rd next week (probable) we’re going to get sent right back to #17?
Hell, Im not even interested in them. Havent seen one yet that I would consider wasting all that time, gold and effort for !

This post is indirectly an answer to your problem.
The people that are willing to farm the components to build a legendary are the people that have the alpha ‘melee’ mindset, warrior, guardians, thiefs. That’s why you see the greatswords and incinerators everywhere.
Meanwhile the players that play the support ‘ranged’ roles get their game enjoyment from helping others and are not going to take the time to farm a legendary for themselves. That’s why you don’t see Meteorlogicus, The Minstrel, or Howler anywhere.
We had a mesmer inside all night. Same as last week. He follows SoR in when you guys take it at the start. Hides. Patiently. For hours.
Is that the same short haired brunette human female mesmer that I chased away twice last night trying to glitch through the south eastern gate?
The one thing I positively say about TC more to the point TV is ..TV does not allow any exploits period.
BUT what Id really like to say here is if thats what you think is going on can you keep those in tells so our thread doesnt get locked. =)

I have never played against WM but I can tell you that I have been reporting A LOT of people lately for botting since there is no option to report players for hacking.
The max run speed in this game is capped at 33% out of combat which my elementalist is at all the time. If a player can noticeably out run me that player has to be hacking and I report everybody.
I have a friend who plays on Anvil Rock and absolutely loves it. I play on Sanctum of Rall which is almost certainly headed to Tier 1 and am beginning to hate it.
With guesting and cross server dungeons, the PvE world is perfectly fine. It is the WvW world that is suffering and I don’t think you guys on the lower tier servers really know how good you have it.
When we do a WvW event, all 4 worlds are either queued or are almost full so we can never get our full guild into a borderland. Once we start into the event and started taking territory all random Rallians looking to latch on to succesful pushing group queue up for the borderland we are in. This ends up preventing any of our late joining guildies from getting in.
We are never able to have a full guild event going anymore and the queues at times (EB is usually 2+ hours every night) are getting to be ridiculous.
The Krait witch in Caledon Forest is also pretty hard as far as I remember. Her grappling hooks or whatever are fast, and you’ll likely not see them in the other effects going on. Additionally you aggro respawning mobs and moas running around there if I remember correctly. I’ve been there at level ~40 (in crappy equipment though) and she pretty much onehitted me. Just like the Krait blood witkittenessex Hills, nobody ever kills her because the effort isn’t worth it.
You can kite her around the tents, it takes a long time but she is definitely soloable.
With my elementalist it took me about 45 minutes per zone and every zone was about 3%, two good weekends of playing and I went from 34% when I hit 80 to finished.
