whatever system you put up, however perfect you will not always get what you want, why? because games like these in the end need a human being playing on the other side, if that human quits, goes afk, or just play kitten or feeds the enemy, well, thats life, you can put all the checks in the world to know a player will play but when the game starts and they leave/dc/go afk/ fall asleepon on the keyboard, what can you do?
The biggest games like League of Legends, Call of Duty and Dota all have this problem even to this day, thank fully for gw2pvp its still a relatively good experience just playing the gameplay and the games themselves do not last long and are not as penalizing like death and feeding in Mobas, a 5-10 minute game with 1 afker is not as bad as a game that lasts at least 20minutes with 1 afker or more with the enemy gradually getting stronger while you weaker.
actually ive played league of legends, hon and dota and they dont have this problem. Players are ranked and are only matched up with players their level. If they are matched with lower players its because they buy a new account (level 1) and then queue so they can feel good.

Nothing more than a 5v5 and as for your statement, the best pvpers are already known since rotations are not a hard concept to grasp and you will still never win a match if you cannot win fights.

seriously, i dont know if im the onlky one who finds the spvp capping system a really boring game mode. I find myself wanting to kill others more then cap points… Please put in a mode where we can have 5 v 5 8 v 8 10 v 10 deathmatch, where the aim is to see who is the best P V P player, not the best point capper XD
or if you can find a way to implement killing as a viable way to earn lots of points in spvp thats great.
This will make PVP more exciting and good pvpers can become more well known for their skills in the pvp community, rather then the w v w community.
Oh and if you say go to wvw for better PvP, if you die in a fight in wvw it takes 20 minutes just to run around and find another one. No thanks . . .

While I have 6 out of 8 professions leveled to 80 at the moment, I find the grind of leveling from new character to level 80 annoying. It’s time consuming. Then there is the issue of outfitting your character with new gear. I did it because I wanted to, not because I felt compelled to by nerfs, bugs, bad mechanics, etc. Even so, none of them are fully geared as much as I’d like. Buying new gear for every new build is expensive. I just don’t have the time or energy to want to do that right now.
So no, I won’t be “re rolling” anytime soon, if ever. I will continue to play on, and hope that these issues may one day be addressed. Or I might just play other games more often.

the reason I will keep playing thief is because when they finally ruin this class either with the next patch or the patch after that it will be easy for me to quit.

good point, I wouldnt say thiefs have low damage output, but I will say that backstab/crit is pretty much all we have left. Without it we are pretty bad… and for the p/d lovers, nothing wrong with it but necro/engi put alot a kitten load more condi dmg then u guys

It probably only takes about 40 hours of hotjoin zerging to get to r20. Finishing all of the WvW achievements is probably a similar time commitment. I don’t think it’s a huge deal.
its a huge difference, the skills you learn from getting rank 20 in pvp compared to wvw zerging is huge. + its a pvp finisher why the hell would it be a wvw prize, if they plan on giving away a finisher it should be a special wvw limited edition finisher that people can look back on to show as prove of being part of this season.

With this new trait (conditions cannot be applied when ele is over 90% hp)
If I am sitting at 45% hp and then heal to 100% using my heal and healing water, will all my conditions then be cleared?
so if they are at 70% health and get conditions on them and heal to 100%. DO all the conditions come off??

I feel you. Im having huge problems fighting with my Warrior too. Sometimes I mash all the buttons on my keyboard and my target still isnt dead and Im always helpless and dont know what to do next. Thieves are the worst. Sometimes I only kill 50% of their HP with Whirlwind Attack and then they use Cloak&Dagger on me and I only think HOW CAN HE SLAP? and then I have to wait for cooldowns again. Yesterday I even had to switch weapons to hit him from 50% to oblivion with stun and Final Thrust, its really too much.
I guess its good they nerf Thief Vigor.Sometimes I have to use my Heal skill too…
