The teleport is fine and just like the other skills, but the problem is how spammable it is meaning you have 0 chance to escape a fight unless you have stealth. I think the skill should not teleport you closer to the target if they are out of range. Allowing this to happen gives Rev god like mobility.
You all must be joking to defend the Revenant’s strength right now.
1. Perma 15 stacks of might out of combat while AFK
2. Instant 25 stacks of might while in Shiro
3. 0 cooldown stunbreak on Shiro
4. Way too many blocks: Staff, offhand sword, and shield + GM trait in Glint.
5. Glint heal is basically an invuln. You either get fully healed or someone has to run away from you while it’s up. So add this to the list of blocks on #4 and the damage mitigation is insane.
6. The teleport’s in shiro are ridiculously OP. You can travel from point to point in about 3 seconds.
7. I’m sure there’s way more things I haven’t listed above.
For PvE solo, I don’t really see much need for druid to be honest. Have fun with the new pets instead, but I would stick to the old zerker ranger setup.
It’s not counterable. Easily the most OP elite spec there is simply due to the ridiculous sustain and toughness that’s available. Even when you get them down to 10-20% health, the amount of leap and blast finishers on this build heals it all the way up to full again.
My personal favourite in celestial avatar : Glyph of tides for aoe pull then natural convergence followed by lunar impact. Wins a lot of team fights for me.
also keep in mind, all of this is tested by inside testers. This beta is just for marketing and last min feedback. Inside testers arent even using same build as we are. So they are playing with numbers and changes that we currently dont have in this beta weekend.
Where is this evidence of Anet testing anything in this game?
The real reason is that this game is developed by Anet, and they can’t seem to do anything right. Balance is terrible, PvE is super easy, PvP is designed against solo players, and of course the classes with the most design changes are last to test.
I am perfectly okay with those predictions as long as we are required. However, I think everything you stated is a generic healer thing not unique to druid only.
TU can do it every 20s. With staff you can have full AF in 5-10 s. This means a stealth every 5-10 s with celestial shadow. Plus, with the amount of nonsense aoe that exists now, it’s better to stay ranged as a zerker ranger.
My 2c: Celestial shadow is way better than natural stride. On demand 3s stealth and super speed is great. However you need to drop gs for staff to build enough AF in order to make it worth while. I also run MM instead of BM for MoC but that’s personal preference.
How is this skill balanced? I basically got one shot with 17k without even knowing what happened.
It would be a great wyvern in PvP because of the instant cast f2 knockdown, but alas it’s locked so I cannot confirm if it’s any good.
The way I see it now is that most specs allow you to have the best of both worlds: damage and tankiness. You should have to be forced to choose 1 or the other. Not having any berserker classes in a game means that every fight will just be endless.

I would prefer to keep the staff 5 water field actually. But I do agree that staff, and CAF for that matter, need much more offensive abilities.
Agreed. But not only regen should be counted, anything that does healing should count towards AF generation including our signet of the wild.
Give it time and you guys will realize that druid, while an improvement over ranger, is not even close to the other elite specs in PvP. Scrapper has ridiculous tankiness and sustain, way above our level. The aoe that tempest craps out with the overloads is insane. The gravity well from chrono cannot be stun broken so you will just insta die. The damage from dragon hunter is absolutely OP as kitten.
The amount of tankiness that Anet has just thrown around like candy in these elite specializations is insane. It is nearly impossible to get through the ridiculous layers of sustain, toughness, and blocks that these new elites have now.
Main Hand Axe needs either a dps buff to be relevent as a hybrid or add more conditions. the bleed on auto was nice, the might on auto doesn’t make a ton of sense.

These numbers seem to indicate that investing in healing power stats is totally not worth it.
I am really really liking LB + staff. You can kite forever with staff #3 and the trait celestial shadow.
Chrono is pretty OP if you ask me. The ridiculous amount of shatter spamming that is possible with it is over the top.
If you take Verdant Etching, I do not see any condi removal from the glyphs. I believe this is a bug.
Pets don’t work in HoTM? I can’t select any of them for PvP.
It takes too long to build astral force without healing… Pretty sure that was intended though.
This. Druid is so dependent on staff, it’s ridiculous. Please let us build AF easier by taking/doing damage other than just healing.
All of the new pets are locked even when you are on druid. Is this intended?
The amount of damage modifiers in the fire line still makes d/d ele strong as kitten. No other class has this type of damage increase from a single traitline while continuing to stay tanky.
They have been frozen for as long as I can remember. But don’t worry, they will soon be replaced by leagues which will most likely go through another infinite beta seasons only to end up frozen with the leaderboards.
Matchmaking feels EXACTLY the same as it did before the fix. You win a couple of games and then you get matched with complete kittens to lose the next few. Thanks Anet, really brilliant stuff.
The glyphs feel like they are lacking overall, but I really think at least 1 of them needs a stun break (glyph of tides maybe?) in order for anyone to take them more seriously in PvP.
instead of boycotting, how bout lobbying specific developers for them to resign/step down peacefully?
That’s pretty low to ask people to give up their jobs just so we can enjoy a game more. I’m as frustrated as any other ranger, but not to the level of asking for this.
Yeah, I gotta say, when the only person that is willing to speak to us is the forum moderator, then the future of this class is bleak for sure. Kudos to Gaile, she’s really been awesome, but we need more from Anet here. If they are really “reading” the forums, then why don’t they show up and confirm it themselves. Just “reading” the forums is worthless unless they actually start implementing some of the hundreds upon hundreds of suggestions rangers have given Anet over the years.
I definitely expect some big time nerfs incoming for druid once people realize how unkillable it is going to be with settler or celestial amulets. I’m sure the dev’s won’t even discuss those nerfs with us either, and just slap us again with the nerf bat.

You guys have been spending so much time implementing the new WHaO, and then fixing it, and not to mention the new changes for spirits+MDG, but please fix this trait already. The condition bonus is removed every time you die and it’s getting frustrating seeing Anet ignore it over and over already.

Yeah, I see it too. I know it’s now blockable and can be evaded but it also feels like taunt is missing half the time for me now.
I think you want to keep beastmastery and marksmanship and instead switch skirmishing for nature magic. BM has companion’s might and zephyr’s speed which are critical to keep the might stacks up, while MM has most of your damage modifiers. You will lose spotter, but you gain bountiful hunter and nature’s vengeance instead.
While I agree with you for PvP, I really think buffs like this are what ranger needs to bring its DPS up to where ele and thief is in PvE. The quickness + 25 might achievable from this buff really beefs up ranger DPS in dungeons and fractals to a level where I actually feel like I’m contributing to the group damage wise.
Guard is one of the worst skills in this game. I would never take it and waste a slot even with the new heal.
