By the way, has someone ever been banned for Dungeon exploiting? If yes, then what he did?
A lot of my friends have been banned (and most unbanned) for “assumed botting.” And literally all they do is run dungeons; so I don’t know if that answers your question…
Though, I have yet to see someone get banned and then given the reason “dungeon exploiting” or something like that.
gj guild LOD you guys must be proud
Printing that screenshot and framing it on my wall; I am proud actually!
Have to second everyone who said “hell no.”
Can’t be bothered to reply to the people who think stun breaks aren’t enough, so I won’t- game too hard.
@penatbater: Absolutely, and I don’t even spam gears. That crap’s too expensive. Gear = for people who try and run away :P
Heard of stability either?
Good, keep wasting that money and play like a kitten, throwing spikefruit to be able to kill off someone ? haha, must win somehow if you cant otherwise i guess.
If you die to spiky fruit, chances are I can kill you with skills :P
@Monsoon/Auesis: Idk about you, but I personally run 3 stun breakers in the puzzle. 3 Stun breakers+2-3 evade gives you enough time to run away, obstruct, stealth, heal, do whatever you need to do. Not to mention they can be reflected.
… exploit …
I don’t know if you realize this, but if I were to kill someone solely with consumables, it would cost me more to kill them than I would get as a reward for doing so. If anything, excessive use of consumables loses players money and their primary use is for laughs. Have you seen the video of a quaggan army using golems in a box to oliberate foes? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLmOVFk63-Q
@Firegoth: Have fun!
You are just… wow LOL. Ok, here is a lesson for you. Someone who can afford to just roflstomp people using consumables DON’T CARE ABOUT THE COST but just like to ruin the game for others. You can’t possibly defend this and ever expect anyone to treat you with respect. This is so underhanded and ruins the game for people.
Anet, fix this. You won’t ever have a truly successful open world pvp until all skill-less kills are removed.
Thank you, and goodbye.
You’ve just reiterated almost everything I’ve said … congratulations?

@OP: If you happen to be in tier 1 (SoS/JQ/SoR) then I’m probably the mes LOL, seeing as I’ve used a stack and a half of spiky fruit today. All I can really say to you is use stun breakers?
I’ll never understand the point of these threads, it’s an even playing ground for everyone, spiky fruit and the other consumables are available for use by everyone. I think it keeps things interesting, and most people I’ve killed with consumables actually find it funny and PM me.
@Kumu Honua: Actually I’ve been using Spiky Fruit for months… But you are correct, it’s just now gears are starting to see mainstream usage. Though they’re actually very expensive; surprised I’m seeing lots of gear usage and not so much spiky fruit when gears cost 3x as much.
Nope, not on those servers. You’ve obviously never been hit by one. It resets all your abilities/utilities. You couldn’t break out of it if you had such an ability. It boils down to whoever can throw a fruit first, cause after that it’s auto-win. Enjoy it while you can.
CC disables most skills but not utility that breaks stun.

I have the same problem as the OP except I’m in 5 guilds, however this is less of ArenaNet’s fault and more of the super-controlling guild leaders :P
I find it odd that your character can have its name changed if you’re flagged for having an inappropriate name- but the name change cash shop item doesn’t exist. Sounds like they’re missing out on money!
Do you mean Sorrow’s Furnance?
I find this very well written, great job Scootabuser!
I would like to add that if you plan to do this a lot on your mesmer, trait for glamour mastery/signets. Feedback/Null field can be useful in some situations, and it’d be good to have portal recharge more quickly so you can remove it from your bar!
Well to be honest after doing the same events 100+ times (very easy to do) they do get very very boring.
There are over 3,000 events in the game. To do all the events 100 times you would have to have completed over 2,000 events per day since the game launched.
Okay, and which of those over 9000 events aren’t “Kill this” “Escort this” “Capture this point” “Collect this item” ?
So today the monthly reset, and now I’ve decided I’ve had enough.
WHY ARE WE ALWAYS BEING FORCED TO DO EVENTS? Your kittening events are the bane of my existence! They’re all the god kitten same- kill this, escort this, collect this, capture this point.
And as someone who doesn’t do much WvW besides the jump puzzle because it’s a complete lag fest/3 fps slideshow on my computer, I actually have to go looking for events -__-
Earlier when the game came out and events were the main source of karma, I decided I wasn’t getting a legendary, because I refused to do so many events. Then liquid karma came out, and I easily got around the 2 stacks of obby shards required for the gift of mastery/clovers.
What happened to the changes you said would be implemented here?
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/
“… a system that lets you complete a subgroup of achievements to fulfill your daily … if there are 6 daily achievements available, you’ll only need to do 4 of the 6 … choose the achievements that you’re most interested in.”
Since the January 28th patch, the daily has changed every day, but EVENTS ARE ALWAYS INCLUDED! WHY? I am not “INTERESTED” in doing events.
And now this month someone had the BRIGHT IDEA to pair 100 events with 500 salvages for the monthly.
I thought you people wanted to eliminate as much grind as possible in this game?
The only thing you are consistent about is not following up on what you’ve written in the past and thinking you need to force people to play the game how you want them to play it!
SCREW LAURELS SCREW CHAUNCEY VON SNUFFLES I AM NOT DOING 5 MILLION EVENTS FOR YOUR CRAPPY >>>NON-BLACK LION KEY SERVING<<< VENDOR
I only find his animation hard to see when guardians burn him with that annoying blue fire T_T
If you start casting a phantasmal duelist and then jump mid cast, the duelist will stand at whatever z-axis position you were at when you finished casting.
Things I haven’t tested:
-Might be unreachable by melee classes in some scenarios (lol pvp should be interesting).
-Might be possible with other phantasms.
Well, to unsoulbind an exotic and give it to another char u need 2 fine transmutation stones [unless u wanna run around with white stats :P ]. Fine transmutation stones are bought from gem store = profit for ANet [or whoever does their money policy now]. I bet they won’t ban u for that
Funny, I quite vividly remember them banning people who bought their precious black lion salvage kits and used it on snowflakes.
I like the new event, though I do wish they mobs didn’t knock down so much.
They listened. The changes like this are listed in the patch notes. It’s now reasonable to get around in Melchors and Cursed.
When was it not reasonable to run around Orr? O_o
“Changed all non-copper karma gathering tools to have a level restriction.”

It was still without prior notice because they disabled the vendor THEN said keys weren’t coming back.
I’ve heard numerous reports that Orrian Jewelry boxes drop precursors. Is this true? Could we get an official response ?
I got a laurel just now from my Daily and it’s not February o_O
Get a group together and see if you can get the fastest dungeon completion times. That’s something competitive to strive for!
Thats a joke right?
Impossible to compare times with so many exploits being around.
Think eventually they’ll have patched everything, the game is still new, patience :P

I love CoE, it’s my favorite dungeon.
Interesting idea, would require a lot of work.
Illusionary leap has done that to me as well. And a lot of other things…lol
People who complain about getting killed in JP’s just fuel my desire to keep killing them.
This^
Hmmm.
1.) I agree there are far too many gold sinks in the game, but I’m sure the mail system was never intended to be used as a form of trade, but instead to share stuff with friends/guildies. So if you’re using it to perform trades, you’re setting your own self up to be scammed. Hell, all I use it for is to send offline messages to friends.
2.) Don’t be bad? I’ve killed hundreds if not thousands in the EB jump puzzle, and yes a lot of people go there and don’t give a crap about the chest, but kill people instead. It’s very easy to trait for survival and run by people. Learn to hide, learn to use stability, use the stealth fountains efficiently, and you’ll be fine. If it’s so camped you think you’ll never get the chest, it’s not too hard to form a mob and conquer it.
3.) I actually haven’t seen anyone pull stuff on me while afk for the purpose of griefing, though what I do find annoying is when you’re minding your own business, completing a heart or something, and some obnoxious/ignorant player runs by with aggro that’s chasing him, and as a result you’re now fighting 10 things instead of 1. As for being kicked from the game while afk, simple fix: ctrl+right click your heal skill so that it’ll autocast. As long as you’re using skills the game won’t kick you out and you can afk for extended periods of time. If you’re dead and about to be kicked from a map, but don’t want to be, open up your h panel and take off / put back on armor and it will stop calling you “inactive.”
I think mesmers are designed very well, and they’re very fun to play.
For weeks I’ve been getting the “you’ve reached the maximum number of memberships” error message whenever I try to invite someone to any of my 5 guilds.
Really? I know people who made a couple, LOST money, and got banned. Regina’s post in that other thread is class A büllshït.
LOL… I don’t think ArenaNet would be very happy about a third party auction site.
This isn’t a bug, cantrips (lightning flash) are described as unique survivability skills available to elementalists which have “no activation time and can be used while using other skills”
PLEASE keep up the kittenery and see how many people end up buying your expansions.
Definitely a lot more than if they allowed cheaters and exploiters to run unpunished in the game.
I’m not condemning them for banning people, I’m calling them out for not telling the truth and being general kitten clowns throughout this whole ordeal.
Would it be called an exploit then at 0% margin? And at negative?
Yes. The exploit was not the market rebalancing/prices but the fact that recipe used 1 jewel instead of 3, which allowed to keep it for further crafting 80% of the time at 61c/salvage. All other recipes use 3+ jewels, and all jewelcrafters know this.
So it’s an exploit because someone at ANet didn’t have the brain to notice it was only using 1 jewel instead of 3? Don’t they do any testing, why are people being punished if it was ANet they messed up? I sure like the responsibility being shrugged off onto the player base (again) like previous mess ups by ANet (ie t3 cultural skins being on karama vendors since launch and only changed a couple weeks ago). Kind of getting annoyed with the poor management and handling of this game :\
By your thinking, all exploits in the game are Arenanets fault, and as a result, no one should get banned. That’s what I’m getting at.
Go find a game out there that has no bugs.
It absolutely wasn’t a bug. Whoever made the recipes simply didn’t think forward about their salvageable value.
Saw this on reddit and it made me laugh :P
Oooh great more ideas for me to make money! Thanks OP
If Guild Wars 2 is like Guild Wars 1, then in a month, the game will automatically hand over leadership to the next highest rank/most senior officer, if your guild leader doesn’t log in.
I wouldn’t mind the events so much if they didn’t respawn so rapidly. It’s super repetitive and super boring.
Agree, CoE is my favorite dungeon.
I liked Wintersday very much. Do wish the jump puzzle wasn’t bugged and would give me my karma though.
How are people already trashing something that hasn’t even been released yet? I think the proposed changes are great, my only wonder is how agony will work with a mix of players.
Not much wall jumping was involved in this to be honest
It’s not DR, that girl in the screenshot with me had just done 4 dungeon paths with me right before we did the puzzle, and she got a flask.
Didn’t ask if she got a bag of loot though.
So the first 4 days or so that I did Winter Wonderland I got Gulps of Liquid Karma, on repeats over the next 4 days, all I got was the daily rewards (more than the 3 present repeat rewards) minus the karma. I thought this was normal, I figured, they must only want you to get a little karma, but apparently a lot of my guildies have 8 gulps of karma and some are getting “flasks” of karma for doing the puzzle daily.
Screen provided of what I’ve been getting on repeats of the jumping puzzle.
