Would you be interested in sketching GW1 characters? I had a chibi artist before but she got too busy with school then gw2 came out and pretty much lost contact since no one logs into gw1

Yeah on crowded servers like Henge the queue times are crazy because people spend hours in WvW… I’ve easily waited 2+ hrs on queues before

I wondered what that message that kept popping up was…

Yesterday I was doing personal story on one of my low level characters, the one where you follow the pale tree through the vision of Orr, with the mobs of undead. I was just innocently going about my ps NOT EVEN WANTING TO KILL ANYTHING, but forced to kill mobs since all the npcs are good for is aggroing, and it was like I was being spammed with “This content is temporarily disabled.” It must have come up at least 50 times.

Is that really the “anti farm code” showing its face?

OP obviously doesn’t do many dungeons

I don’t understand why players should have to suffer through an incomplete system.

Yesterday I did AC explorable path 2, which was the first time in weeks I touched AC, and >24 hrs since I last did a dungeon. I got 20 or 30 tokens. Everyone in the team got 60. I said, okay, maybe I need to do dungeons more than once for the new system to catch on, so I went to CoF, definitely took more than 30 minutes to do it got 10 or 15 tokens. Everyone else in the team got 60. Went to WvW, 5-7 hours later, did CoF, got 15 tokens, everyone else in the team got 60. Decided it wasn’t worth my time to do dungeons anymore if I was being rewarded equally as the team, but forgot I made that promise, did AC again tonight, got 30 tokens, everyone else got 60. And don’t even get me started on the consistent 7 silver which is what, 0-5s after repairs?

What is going on here? I am certainly not “speed running” dungeons and I’m certainly not doing them back to back.

I wanted to do dungeons for experience because I refuse to do another 300 hearts to level up my other characters, but I’m starting to lose all willpower to do them if everyone in the team is consistently being rewarded 2-3x more than me.

I do read the forums a lot, do read the dev comments, and while I understand why the system was implemented, and understand that it’s a safe net for exploits and speed runs, I don’t think it’s fair to use players as guinea pigs for so long. As far as I’m aware there is no exploit at the moment. The old system worked fine. Why should players be stuck with a broken system when the old one worked fine? Why can’t we use the old one until the new system actually does what it is supposed to?

So now that I’m not doing dungeons, what is there to do? To be honest I’m losing all willpower to play.

-Dungeon rewards are broken.
-Pre-patch and post-patch tokens don’t stack.
-WvW queue times are easily over 2 hrs on my server.
-Already wasted a ton of my gold because Ramon Damke or w/e his name is posted wrong patch notes and crashed the market.
-Personal story for my other characters is 11 levels ahead. What am I supposed to do? 500 more hearts? I thought GW2 was supposed to take the grind out of MMOs, but yet I feel like I’m doing GWAMM in GW1. Not to mention when I finished personal story on my level 80, I musta sent in at least >10 bug reports. Who knows what lies waiting should I attempt to do it again.
-Can’t accept 2 guild invites because of “Network Error.”
-All events are the exact same: collect this, defend this, kill this, hold this point.

The list goes on and on………………………………………………………………………….

I honestly feel like I’ve been wasting time, energy, and vainly sacrificing sleep for this game.

The trading post is pretty much a web browser embed in the game, so while they allow previewing items built into the client, it’s probably proving very difficult to get that same functionality out of a web page :P I’m sure they’ll think of something though

I’m reallykitten the kitten off at the moment for many reasons, but I’m going to make an attempt to stay civil in this post.

So let me get this straight. You say mystic chests (and therefore its items like conduits) won’t be crafted from scratch anymore, but existing items and ingredients will remain. So of course every intelligent trader bought out all of these items because there would soon be no supply.

Then you update the game later than when the patch was supposed to be issued, and in the update notes you write that mystic conduits now drop from black lion chests- aka junk that drops mercilessly throughout the game.

Of course many if not all of the traders who were online that invested earlier panicked and immediately started selling out their mystic items.

Now you say, “Oops, it was a mistake, these don’t come from BL chests.” And everyone who has sold out their mystic items can’t even buy them back.

Do you know what you’ve just put me and lots of people through with this mistake? Is this a joke? Because if it is it isn’t even slightly funny.

You also sell higher editions of the games and advertise that players get a 5-day golem banker for paying more for their copy of the game, and now you say PERMANENT bankers drop from BL chests?

They probably don’t want level 0 characters walking around in transmuted dungeon armor. Also probably don’t want people to be able to swap chars and keep getting 1st-time dungeon rewards (max tokens per day). Other than that I don’t see issue either.

The Mystic weapons family are basically the inquest dungeon weapons family but with a blue glow instead of a red glow. All of the mystic items glow blue, but the mystic spike (dagger) glows red. Figured this was a bug?

Playing an elementalist in dungeons is really not that hard… I mean I can see how you would die a lot if your favorite weaponset was dual daggers… but other than that it’s only hard if you make it hard. Get a staff, most if not all your spells will have 1200 range… Casters in every game are the “backline” so stay in the back and let other people soak up damage and heal them strategically. Dodge… Don’t stand in red circles… Take advantage of your environment, get behind a column or pillar to counter ranged attacks, get up high to get away from melee… Idk what else really to say

Update: Apparently this is not just underwater…..

Today I was just going about a normal day… Swimming around in Lion’s Arch… When I said to myself, “What am I looking at? O_O”

I could see the bottom half of my character nude, which doesn’t make sense since when you take off clothes in Guild Wars the characters are wearing undergarments.

It was additionally odd because I had on all pieces of armor.

I thought “Maybe my graphics card is screwing up and not showing the pants,” so I called a friend to come and confirm. His screen is included last below.

I was wearing light Flame Legion pauldrons, top, gloves, and masquerade leggings and boots.

PS: I don’t know much about 3D modeling but… Is there a reason his body seems to have been sculpted withOUT clothes on o_O?

I’d like to know why the kitten combat slows you down if people have snares that they can use for that purpose.

I’m a little annoyed. After waiting 2 hours to queue into WvW, I got kicked out because I wasn’t resuming “active play.” I was actively talking, using trading post, strategizing with teammates and someone was in the process of ressing me. What do you define as “active play?”

I’m considering giving up personal story completely till I hear reports that it’s all functioning properly

I ran as far as possible away from him so Trahearne would teleport to me and break aggro, so now he’s moved back to the center and of course regained his full hp -_- which is doubly weird because I can’t change any of my skills and appear to still be “in combat.”

EDIT: This time he’s gone to the opposite corner, stopped teleporting again, but at least now he’s not invulnerable. He’s again spamming his pink ray on Trahearne, so going afk with character on auto attack.

So as if the boss fight wasn’t annoying enough with him teleporting all over the place…at rougly 50% hp, the sovereign eye of zhaitan stood in a corner, and spammed his pink ray on Trahearne while invulnerable. He’s been like this for 10 minutes and hasn’t moved while I’ve been on auto attack.

Can we please get first person POV? I’m so tired of my character being in the way when I want to see something -_-

Also the camera is super annoying when you’re dead / downed as well.

Yes this is a super annoyance that’s been broken for days. I would imagine they’ve gotten hundreds if not thousands of bug reports about this same exact thing, considering every time there’s a game update, everyone flocks to Straits and spams map chat with “Is the skill point fixed yet?” I don’t know how they haven’t noticed yet……..

EDIT: The advice given above works wonders! So many people were surrounding it when we managed to unglitch that it died in like 1 second :P
