Just seems lazy to abandon hearts altogether. It made the game more immersive IMO. Hearts give you a chance to slow down and take the story line in and help common folk with their issues, something a real hero also does. Dynamic events are more frantic in nature. I stopped feeling like a hero in this game after the main storyline was concluded. I didn’t give a kitten about Scarlet and her feelings. Just a bump in the road.
I’m expecting something greater than Southsun cove. That place is a joke. People should be prepared to be disappointed by Southsun 2.0.

Simply stated, will this new zone be filled with hearts and actual dialog. Will I hear my characters voice again? If not, this is very disappointing. A hero who never talks? Bring back the cutscenes and story driven content.

I only roam by myself. I noticed this too like 6 months ago. People don’t appear to want a fair fight any longer, however, you shouldn’t be playing WvW if you want that. WvW is just unskilled zergs moving from place to place salivating over rewards. I can’t remember how many times I hid in a keep as a WARRIOR and took it back 5 minutes later by myself. Joke game mode, joke player base. If they cared, they would of checked.
Also, there are guilds out there who I will not mention by name that think they are so kitten hot rolling around in a full team picking roamer’s off, only to get destroyed on their live Twitch stream since they accepted my duel kittenily.
I blame ANET though, people roam around in WvW because sPvP is simply terribly lacking, and they desire some other form of skillful play.

This is a great idea. No diminishing returns for a monthly fee? I’d do it for sure. I hate farming for ascended bullkitten on different characters.
EDIT: The game would also need to have a real sPvP game mode. Not the current crap we have now… Please bring GvG back!

I’m putting a lot of stock in this game with the next update. This will make or break the game for me. I’ve lingered around during the ascended fiasco, meaningless sPvP disaster, etc., however, I’m still hopeful they can turn the game around. This is their last chance. I’m not expecting the second coming of Baby Jesus, just need something worth my time.

When logging into the game, the prompt to input the authenticator code appears, but you first have to press TAB in order to start typing the code in the box. It should already be in the box the first time.

after almost 2 years, it’s clear anet has zero intentions on fixing the game mode. its lacking, boring, repetitive, and predictable. after a single match, random, solo, or team, I want to rip my face off while looking at a mirror. guild wars 1 should be your inspiration. something similar to GvG would be a good start.

Most of the time there’s so many people in the event zone you’re either shoved out of a pre or shoving someone else out of a pre to get your tag. I do the event schedule every day several hours, never seen a pre fail because all 60 people weren’t fighting over pre event tags. It’s beneficial as all hell for most of the people to not zerg the pre so the people who want to do them don’t miss credit. It’s unlikely an unattended pre is going to go unnoticed for long anyway. You’re way over thinking the people waiting on tag, just seeing what you want to see without any logic.
im sorry. we just won’t agree here then. there is no logic to 50-100 people standing in one spot while other people do events. it’s anets job to drive people to play their game, not stand around in droves. game is very uninspiring this way.

ANET needs to incentivize people to actually do events, not stand there in droves while innocent low-level scrubs do the pre events. Even I stand there AFK until the boss is ready. I just want the dragonite, then I can return to WvW. Come on, give better rewards and I’ll actually do something instead of leeching. Looks like bad game design when tons of people are just standing there. By better rewards, I mean more dragonite.
Options:
1) When each chain in the pre-event is finished, dragonite is awarded (1 or 2 per chain event?)
2) increase dragonite boss world chest drops depending on how many events the player completed in the chain.
The core component of this game is severely flawed in the current state.

If you purchased town clothes in the gemstore to mix-n-match gear, you’re going to be annoyed when you find out your town clothes are now tonics. you can’t customize or mix-n-match at all now. i would ask for a refund. this is a punch in the face to people who support your in-game store.
