Welcome to our latest member, Bandino Grande!
Thanks alot, Avi!
I like how she’s wearing platform dhoes with that height.
These are nice guys with a YB heart, can go far wrong with them.
[TR] gets a [SCTY] Thumbs up! Awesome WvW havoc team.
Finally. looking forward to trading in my blade shards.
All gud Wrecks, no pressure. See ya when we see ya!
Wow, that seems a pretty specific guild you’re looking for. I’m unaware of such a guild on YB, but good luck with your search.
www.yaks-bend.com is the server community website. It might help you in your search.
Welcome to our latest member, Crescent! (We already nicknamed him ‘Croissant’)
I’d look for a guild first.
Hai Wrecks! I’ll ask someone to send you an invite and look after you!
We welcome Jaicen to the guild! Excited you chose to join us!
Stable, fun, with few ego’s. Come have a look yourself!
I ran into an Anet tag the other day, and as you do, I pumped him for info.
“Future content will be released at some time in the future.”
That’s a quote straight from the horses’ mouth, thanks Evan!
Man you are easy to please. I wonder people like you are the target group.
Maybe i can add something to the rumors.
Future Contend will be released in the future.
Right now we can bridge some time with present contend.
Or what about the past contend we played in the past ????Now we have a reason to look forward.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and go with sarcasm being hard to spot on the internet.
I personally can’t wait for something new. On the other hand, I like to keep my expectations realistic. Some people have been comparing s subscribtion model mmo with a buy to play mmo. If you’re that keen on permanent updates, find yourself a nice subscription mmo. I hear ESO is… eh..new. There’s plenty of them out there, and another soon to launch!
This break was expected. IIRC, they said ‘break – feature patch – break’. They possibly need the extra time for the China launch; GW2hub is speculating about some major new content in the works, like the new zone a lot of people are craving.
TL:DR: Be realistic. Expecting a buy to play MMO to deliver the same level of content as a sub based one is likely to lead to dissappointment.
If you’re that keen on permanent updates, find yourself a nice subscription mmo.
I am keen on permanent expansions. That is why I went for a B2P game in stead of a F2P game.. You know F2P game focus on there cash-shop and that is not so good for the quality of the game and it’s content.
Sadly Anet then decided that they would still go for the cash-shop approach in stead of expansions.
So no need to look for another game, this game should just start focusing on expansions instead of monthly patches. You know, it being B2P and all.
If this game would have been a true B2P game we would have had or first expansion by now. So people don’t ask for to much imho.
Anet from the start have been pretty clear what content they intended to deliver. You buy the game, you get the game, plus frequent living story updates.
I’m not sure where you are getting the:’It’s buy to play, thus expansions’ from. You appear to be redefining the Buy to Play term to fit your own expectations, not the commonly accepted meaning of it.

Still recruiting!
We’re so new player friendly, we told Anet to have another 50% off sale!
Yeah, that was totally all us. >.> <.<
Welcome Lyudmila to SCTY!
A few more Oceanics would make all the difference, but we appreciate anyone looking for a home!
We ran into Matt in EBG, and he had so much fun following us around that he requested a guild invite. Welcome to SCTY, Matt!
I’m a heavy alter. Being forced to repeat the same content again and again just to unlock traits doesn’t sit well with me. Furthermore, I like to speedlevel my alts, which has been punished as well, because few of these alts will have enough SPs to buy both their skills and unlock their traits.
I now have to decide on a build beforehand, and buy/unlock the traits so I have the build for what I want to do. It feels to me that GW2 has moved away from ‘play the way you want to play.’ This might work for the Asian market, but needs some serious tweaks for the Western one.
Suggestions: Allow traits to be unlocked per account; allow other currencies to be used to buy traits for people that enjoy other content, like badges or dungeon tokens; reduce SP costs or increase scroll drops.
In the weeks to come as new players get to 80 this will only get worse, due to the difficulty of getting traits unlocked. More casual players will be unlikely to actively hunt for all the traits, will lack the gold and SPs to unlock all traits required, and will have a problem making a coherent build with the traits they do have.
I’ve seen the same bug. It’s always 136 years, for some reason.
I would think it likely that this set turns up in the regions tracks in PvP.
As Isaacs said, EotM is a great karma train. Make sure you have access to karma boosters, icecream consumable (any icecream), guild karma boosts and banner boosts for maximum efficiency.
If you end up in an overflow where your color is outnumbered, relog into EotM for a new overflow. As an added bonus, some Season 2 rewards also grant Obsidian shards, IIRC.

Welcome to Joe, Barb and Stu! Great to have you guys.
Grats to Raven for making Officer. Meritocracy at work, wooo! No prizes for guessing what he’ll be doing. >.>
Happy Easter everyone!
We’ve got drunk Russians, what’s not to like?
Got your shout, Raven. Logged in before work to send an invite to Son of Forth. Check your email if you need help with how to join.
Welcome to our little family!
You will have an invite waiting. If our officers didn’t pick it up, I’ll take care of it myself.
Looking forward to meeting ya!
Hi Miken,
What server are you on, and are you willing to transfer? This is important for recruiters since you’ve expressed interest in WvW, and would need to be on the same server as the prospective guild to participate.
Good luck with your search!
For my mob they’re definately a thing, we’re just not always successful if it’s a slow day. We figured out a trick to get everyone at least one successful Bounty a week though!
Feel free to contact me here or in game if you encounter problems hooking up with the above recommendations.

Hi Dezi,
There’s not that many large guilds on YB that I know of; Guardians of the Creed [Hate] and Dolyak Attack [Dyak] spring to mind. You should be able to contact them here: www.yaks-bend.com
The Society is not a large guild; About 35-40 daily with 12-20 at primetime. We do weekly guild missions, and have all of them unlocked, but if your aim is to farm commendations we’re probably not your best bet.
Hope that helps,
Pix

Hi Bigstick!
I’m Pix, representing The Society on YB. We’re a casual hardcore guild that has people from all over the world, and that prides itself on being laidback while still getting stuff done.
We’re medium sized with an active roster comprised of players both old and new. Our core started in BWE1 and 2, so we can offer a lot of help from levelling tips to indepth build advice.
We have a weekly schedule for everything from Guild missions, WvW, SPvP, dungeons, etc, and a Channel in the YB Community TS. All of the above is not mandatory, just pick and chose what you want to do.
We’re international, so there’s people on at most hours, but primetime’s around 8pm server.
If this sounds good to you, you can either reply here, check our thread in the Guild Recruitment Forum, or get in touch with us on our own website www.gw2society.enjin.com or at the YB community forums at www.yaks-bend.com
Good luck with your search!

Hai CS, you’ll have an invite soon, as soon as one of our officers can pry themselves away from the shiney new wardrobe. Clotheshogs all, I tell ya. Welcome to The Society!
Fine, have it your way, Raven. More new peeps joined; welcome Benson and Minos!
Thanks Raven!
….I didn’t even pay him or anything.
Good to have you aboard, Strongheart!
Thank you very much, Niloy!
Welcome Victor and Raven to [SCTY]
Hi Victor, I’ll sent you an invite when I get back home after work.
Arena Net,
Your WvW seasons are a great competitive mode. The players would enjoy an even more balanced competition where the fight is truly always on.
There is a very easy solution. The most vocal minority will object. The majority will enjoy the result, and only the data will reveal this fact.
The NA leaderboard has 8 tiers. Currently, tier 1 and 2 hold the lion’s share of WvW playing people. They gain players from the lower tiers daily, at an increasing rate.
At some time between the end of season 2 and the start of season 3, please utilize your Megaserver system to support merger of all tier 3 through tier 8 NA servers into tier 1 and 2. I suggest the following:
- Lock transfers for some short period before the merger.
- Sort tiers 3-8 into tiers 1-2 in reverse order.
This means:
- Rank 6 receives Rank 7-9
- Rank 5 receives Rank 10-12
- Rank 4 receives Rank 13-15
- Rank 3 receives Rank 16-18
- Rank 2 receives Rank 19-21
- Rank 1 receives Rank 22-24
Thanks,
Your #1 Fan NA
You appeal to majority and then claim data backs your argument up without presenting any.
Your argument is illogical.
Bye Allie, have fun in your new job.
Still recruiting.

That there personifies Yak’s Bend. Persistent. Fighters. Men and women that don’t give up.

We’re not looking for mercenaries. We’re offering a family. We want you to be a part of that.
We have all the facilities you’d need; A community TS3; experienced guilds and commanders that WILL work with you, a popular community forum, training days for new players and old.
