A hotseat is fastly preferable to being locked into weeks of being karma trained and spawncamped by servers with fastly superior coverage.
Instead of the ‘we need a whipping boy for T2’ approach, SoS could destack it’s OCX a little to go to a server that has the NA to compete.
That’s not going to happen, ofcourse. All those free caps!
I thought Glacial heart only chills on crits (50% chance?)
Your assumption that the biggest zerg always wins is false. There are many zergbusting guilds that take on many times their numbers and win, due to synergised builds, good communication, superior understanding of mechanics and experienced drivers that know when to engage and where, and when to recover.
Seems premature with still a week of reveals ahead.
If you could please link where you get your data to base your claims on, that would be great. Otherwise they are just that, claims.
Personally, I like that they make the game more accessible for new players. A lot isn’t explained very well for newcomers.
Thanks for the bump, Niloy!
Always open for the right people!
Thanks Pix, you peeps in SCTY are awesome! I wish you all the best as well
As Ser said, Don’t be a stranger! TS channel will be open if you want to drop by!
Always happy for a few more!
Saying goodbye to Luc and Bessy, members in good standing that left the game due to RL reasons. We wish you guys the best!
Uh, try to contact [CL] on Fort Aspenwood, or [MEX] on Yak’s Bend. Not sure how active MEX still is, though.
In my personal experience, a lot of people aren’t that precise with their ram placement.
In most cases, throwing the disabler on the inside of the gate will be sufficient to take out the rams. When defending, this new trick works in favor of a prepared defender.
If anything this works best vs open field siege, since it’s far easier to target from 1200 range than a well placed AC in a structure. Open fielders should be cheering.
Hai Sylv! Please sign up using the application form here http://www.gw2society.enjin.com/forum. In the meantime, I’ll ask an officer to flick you an invite. Welcome to SCTY!
You guys realise we’re getting commander improvements in September, right?

I’ll add you to my friendlist and try to contact you!
Still open for a few more!
Welcome to SCTY, Drohas!
don’t know if the music’s copyrighted, sorry.
GW2 Classic. 41 TC Golems. 1 Yak defender. 1 pot of oil.
We’re happy to add cpk2000x to our roster!
YB is in a pretty good place right now, with a few good open field guilds in TC, PAL and UL, while still boasting excellent militia, guards and quality scouts.
We coulds definately use one or more SEA/Ocx guild(s), or even an extra NA open field guild to pressure more BLs.
Hi Zaps, I’m Pix from SCTY on Yak’s Bend. We’re an international PvX guild with about 40 people active daily.
We do anything PvE plus a fair bit of WvW for some members. There are no requirements to do content you’re not interested in.
We have been active in GW2 since Beta Weekend 1, and have many knowledgable people to advise you on anything; how to play your class, what gear to choose and where to get it, builds, to how to make money and fashion commentary.
If that appeals to you contact us at www.gw2society.enjin.com.
Pix
We’ve been joined by a bonafide superhero! Welcome Kid Liberty!
Thanks for the advertisement, Ren!
We’re happy to welcome Dandere to the guild!
Bump for the Bend!
Hi Dandere,
I’m Pix from SCTY on Yak’s Bend. We’re an international guild that’s friendly and social. You’re right; ussually not that many people early on on YB, but we tend to sport around 4-10 in the morning.
Check us out at gw2society.enjin.com.
For other YB guilds your best bet is www.yaks-bend.com. The Yaks community prefers their community forums to the official one.
Good luck with your search,
Pix
Still looking for more Yaks to join us.
Hi peeps, still open for a guild or two looking for a stable server off season, and a contender during.
Thanks Bossy! Welcome Silver Angel and Bad Leaf!
Have you considered trying joining a guild? I haven’t joined a PuG since headstart, and I dungeoneer fairly regularly.
PuGging isn’t worth the frustation for me.
Keep in mind that the population gaps are lower in EotM, due to it lumping several servers into one color. During certain timeslots Red in particular might be heavily outnumbered, but there are at least people to play with.
Lower tiered servers, Tier 3 and below, tend to have severe coverage gaps. If you returned a light time for DH or it’s opponents you wouldn’t have found many of the larger fights.
EotM is generally not a good measuring stick for WvW fights, due to many people running it for Karma and other rewards, and often actively avoiding fights. Moreover, a lot of players tend to be uplevels. Far less so in regular WvW.
My advice would be to try it again during NA primetime, and join your server community TS, if only to find out where the fights are.
Anet has stated that if you do not log in during a LS episode to unlock it, you can unlock it afterwards by paying 200 gems.
Will Dry Top change a little in the meantime? Quite possibly. That’s what happened during season 1 to LA and Kessex Hills. But that’s to hook to keep people playing, and I personslly love it.
Of course! Please sign up through www.gw2society.enjin.com. I’ll send you an invite in the meantime.
definitely not a bump. Trust me.
4.4k hours since headstart.
We welcome Drayveal to the guild. He’s already started to yank my chain, so he’ll fit right in.
Still open for a few more!
Thanks Ser, You’re a real PAL.
Thanks a lot, Legs!
We welcome JMad to the guild!
After taking the time to consolidate our playergroup, we are open for recruitment again!
Bump for an awesome group of people.
Hi Zyv! I sent you an invite plus an ingmae mail to get you started. I’ll help you out with the basics when I see you in game.
Welcome to SCTY!
Always open for a few more!
Sorry for the late response, Nate. I think there’s certainly room to grow for a zerg busting guild that wants to recruit on YB. In fact, [PAL] is doing that right now, and their GL reported hitting their first stage recruitment goals in under a week.
We’ve identified the lack of open field guilds during our review of season 2. This is why new startup guilds will be sucessful, as long as they intergrate themselves in our community.
Come have a look at our community forums at www.yaks-bend.com.
A warm welcome to Hinterhalt & friends who just joined!
These guys are awesome, with some of the most experienced and talented players on YB. Their leadership is solid and inspired, with plenty of open field knowhow gained in guilds like [One] and [Rawr].
If you’re looking for open field on Yak’s Bend, give them a shot!
I felt shortchanged too. I’d be more ok with them saying;‘no further use for bladeshards, just toss them’
Hinting at s shard merchant in previous patchnotes raised a certain expectation. I would have been fine with festival tickets, or some mats for stuff we can still use.
Doesn’t get flashier than our website, unless you have a flashier website. >.>.
Come check us out!
He had that coming after sending all his fellow guildies Garlic bread consumables.
Raven has been promoted to Champion Thread Bumper.
