Well, I’d say that killing the transition grub so he doesn’t get the buff is important for optimizing times, but the reality is that if he does his aoe life drink leech more than 5 times during phase 3, you may as well restart. That attack is the biggest freakin’ waste of DPS ever.
I sometimes pug Arah when I’m in the mood to see how many times someone lures trash mobs to the team to wipe everybody. Things have changed, however.
This happens to me when we start fighting bosses without the full party because some couldn’t do the skip. And then later they will succeed but they’ve brought the deadeyes with them for Belka. I usually just tell late comers/skippers to just wait until it’s finished if it’s possible to bring trash accidentally.
On the other hand, I really need to learn this mountain goat adventure.

Are you on EU? I can show you it if you want. You need to be on a class with leaps though… preferably not ele because it’s really annoying with LH as opposed to savage leap.
I really doubt that there are worse pugs on NA than EU. Majority of the people that join your groups on EU don’t even speak the same language as you let alone know what the hell they’re doing. Also as far as pugging is concerned it’s pretty hard to notice other people for trash dungeons like AC/SE with the exception of a few bosses due to how easy they are since ferocity scaling. I don’t do CoE because I find it so painfully monotonous that it’s not worth seeing who I’d get.

I now often refuse to do Ancient Ooze in groups and sometimes go on a mountain goat adventure and watch from above as some moron pulls elite elementalists + hunters + mages + illusionists + oozes over to the rest of them and gets everyone else killed because they don’t know how to fight it without the coral safespot. It really depends on how terrible the people are in the party, but it’s too annoying to do this boss in a group only for someone to kitten it up by luring trash mobs to you and forcing you to reset it. Same deal with crystallines tbh… provided the pugs actually survive past the mobs up until the champs, they often “contribute” by running around randomly and ensuring that nothing’s being cleaved. Tar is just terribly annoying mostly because people are too clueless to spam their immobilize abilities off cooldown and they keep stacking near the entrance for some reason despite it being probably the slowest and most error-prone way to kill him.
Also dear god some people are just ridiculous at crusher+hunter… mostly people who advertise “experienced” in their LFG yet they drag the crusher as far away from the hunter as possible so you can’t cleave him down.
Yeah pugging Arah sucks. So drastically slower than soloing.
in pvp where axe 5 deals more damage it is amazing if you spec for axes.
i keep saying this but it still seems to be a secret, you can dodge while channelling it
that means that while you’re doing a 10k+ whirl you can also dodge twice to do another 6k+ damage from 2 reckless dodge hits while avoiding all damage.
so yeah, 16k AOE damage, avoiding all incoming damage, pretty short cooldown.
follow it up with a 10k+ eviscerate if things aren’t chopped up finely enough for you!
incase anyone is interested this is the axezerker build i use, it is ridiculously easy to play, just chop chop chop!
So you’re advising people to waste both of their dodge rolls to make up for the inferior damage of axe #5 so that it’s on par with the autoattack?

Yes, but I still have yet to see it. Dub has twice, and Nova claims he’s seen it once before too and I know at least 1 or 2 others claimed it as well. Dub’s the only one that says he saw an 84, so I dunno. I want proof.
What they should do is make it so that the recipes require way way way less and drastically reduce the drop rates on them.
That’s the only sensible reason, but they obviously wouldn’t ever do that considering there are people who dump their money into the cash shop just so they can hoard all of it.
I’m not patient enough to binge it, but I don’t bother with all of the side achievements and whatnot. I just do the stuff that doesn’t require use of dulfy guides because I’m lazy.
How would this be a good prerequisite? Not only can you buy paths, but you can completely mooch off of people and be a 5th wheel and still get the path done.
Just gearcheck people and kick them if they do stupid kitten. That’s the only way you’ll get what you want.
You dont even need adrenal health. Just dodge the auto attack fairly regularly and healing signet is enough.

Not sure if it applies to Morrigu, but NPCs buff elite risen hunters and the wraithlord hunter in P3 just by existing. Maybe something similar happens with Fyonna’s AA?
If that’s the case then I probably would have kicked him. If I told someone to stop causing Lupi to bubble people on the team and they replied with some kitten comment like that, they’re gone.
3) Sell rare drops in the trading post for gems. People with money can buy the drop; people who have oodles of time/will can hunt for it. Please don’t hypocritically say rare things should be special, and then let people buy/sell “legendaries”.
This would be perfectly fine if there wasn’t a cash shop.
For people that like to play competitively (like myself), the fact that some jerk can swipe their credit card and have more ingame wealth than me is annoying to say the least.

Have you ever been thrown on chaos storms each 6 second which ticked for 16-20k hp on your warrior? Even with dodging chaos storms the only way to stay alive is interrupting/blocking or outranging his beams.
If that isn’t a boss, I don’t know any.
I know how OP a level 84 Risen Illusionist can be. But he’s still a silver rank at most. There is another thread dedicated to him. Heck, even the level 84 spider can two shot my ele with just his aa.

Sorry that you had a bad experience. I only kick people if they either skip Lupicus, don’t read my LFG posts, or actively go out of my way to **** with me.
I think that not only should axe #4 deal more damage, but #5 should probably do something like give you protection while channeling it. It honestly kind of makes sense to me… but perhaps somebody out there has a better idea that isn’t OP like reflecting projectiles lol.
Nike worked it out for strength to be approximately 3% better DPS than scholar when you have 100% uptime on the 10% damage bonus. You will essentially never be able to maintain scholar bonus 100% of the time especially while maintaining a perfect rotation simultaneously.
So instead of 3% better, it turns out to be a lot more in actual gameplay. I know it costs a lot but if you’re really keen on improving your output then you’ll have to decide on how much you want to dedicate to it.
I don’t suggest replacing your runes. I’ll tell you what I did — I have two ascended sets with both rune types. I use the scholar set only when I’m confident that the group that I’m in isn’t inept. Instead of what I did, I suggest an exotic set for your strength runes and scholar for your ascended since ascended only really has use in high level FotM (which most people do in groups lol).

I was thinking either that or instead of lupi have a Legendary Dredge Illusionist that is the same size as lupi and when it does it’s chaos storm the aoe covers the entire room.
And instead of it spawning locusts it spawns smaller illusionists. At p2 when it transitions it spawns a deadeye with the same amount of hp as the vet dredge.
And while he does the aoe blast horrik comes and starts the canon phase.
And when you harpy feather + order of whispers spykit + ash legion spykit to restart for better RNG, Varra Skylark runs in with her trusty rifle of belligerence and pulls them back to you.

Used to be able to sell P1 for 7g any time of the day, any day of the year… now you can post your LFG to sell only to compete with 3 others selling for 5g. Weirdest part is, at least half of them are actually legit sellers… :S

The only other thing then what has been suggested that you might be able to do is screen shot the fractal ready screen. That way even if they kick you, you have their names. After that, I think you can submit ticket with a violation report, usually the only response you will get is the canned
“Thank you for your report of an in-game conduct violation. We will investigate this incident and take action, when appropriate.”

I stopped keeping up with what’s on the gem store almost a month or so ago since the ratio of gold:gems is so terrible… it’s like 100 gold for 650 gems or something awful like that now

Btw, I’ve been hit for 60k fall damage while running through Lion’s Arch on flat ground before… just straight out of nowhere.
What I would like to see, is dungeons in which you actually have to do stuff, instead of walking through bloody corridors. In Dungeons and Dragons Online, they had dungeons where one player had to switch off a bunch of deadly underwater traps, by swimming through a gauntlet of bladed fans, to reach a lever on the other side. GW2’s dungeons lack any sense of cooperative challenges. Oh sure, there’s the occasional destroy X amounts of burrows before this or that npc dies. But what about levers and mechanisms? Remember just about every other rpg out there, that has dungeons with things in them? Where are the pressure plates, the doors, the traps? Why don’t we search for keys, or have any sort of platforming in the dungeons? It’s just a bunch of corridors, corridors, and more corridors. Boring!
COF3 is like that, and its Always empty.
Having stuff that needs 4-5 coordinated players to complete, cuts 99% pugs out of the playerbase.
I have done CoF P3 twice and both times I thought it was fun as hell and made the other two paths seem like trash. The only problem with it is that the reward is the exact same so it doesn’t compensate you for your time spent well.
So, I was shown this a really long time ago and I’m well aware of the fact that to many people it’s old news but there’s a velociraptor just floating in the sky in Arah. Actually there’s several of them but this was the first one I ever saw.
I at first thought they were just helicopters that weren’t rendering properly or some weird crap like that but after getting closer to them… they really are raptors wtf.
Warriors are able to absolutely decimate elite risen hunters with EASE. Just make sure there isn’t an NPC around since they essentially buff the hunters with perma-bouncing axes.
Look, Guild Wars 2 is an ARPG: adaptability and evasion should be king. If you don’t understand how everyone exploiting the system by huddling in a corner breaks this, then I don’t even know what to tell you.

Way more than 10% DPS loss, considering no banner of discipline, not full berserker, mango pie nourishment, using hammer, using hoelbrak runes, and using the most bizarre sigil choice I’ve ever seen on a greatsword.
In a group setting warrior dps is nearly always better. A ranger is conditioned to solo play from the get-go because of his pet that absorbs damage. That’s why he usually has two bears, a longbow, no spotter, and no frost spirit. Rangers need to understand that group play is nothing like solo play. Everything is different: weapons, traits, utilities, pets.
This is so stupidly incorrect.
Warriors have one of the worst DPS in group settings actually, as all other classes are able to push ahead when they’re under the effects of perma-fury and banners + might.
The only place in which warriors excell over almost all other classes is solo settings because of their incredible self-buffing capabilities. Warrior is literally the only class capable of reaching 100% crit chance by themselves and one of the few classes capable of maintaining almost permanent fury as well, bar a few seconds of downtime in between cooldowns. As well as that, warrior is also one of the easiest classes to maintain 20-25 stacks of might in a solo setting as well.
If you want a good example/demonstration of this, name one class besides a warrior or a thief that’s capable of soloing Brie at the end of Arah P2 before the terminal is destroyed. Not even an ele can do it anymore, since FGS + LF was nerfed.
I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) but I will warn you that if you have a laptop, it glitches and shows only a black screen unless you right-click your GW2 shortcut and select to open with your high-end graphics processor before doing the same with the shortcut for OBS in that order.
It’s annoying, but it does the trick. It’s some stupid glitch where it doesn’t recognise that you’re using the same graphics adapter when in reality you are. Aside from that, it’s a great program and I highly recommend it.
