This is basically the only kind of way I could really stand playing in WvW— berserker, fun weapon setup (for me) and high damage.
The only thing I really don’t like about your setup is that you use sigils of fire on both GS and sword offhand. I think I’d rather swap Discipline V out for signet mastery, put an energy sigil on that sword, and put a sigil of strength on the GS along with the battle. Since the plenty of your kills are from yolomode eviscarates, I think you’d benefit more so from that since you’d be able to accumulate might stacks quicker, which would also obviously improve the torment damage as well.
Other than that, love the build. Good stuff!
Are you sure you understand what it’s supposed to be doing?
This is more so for level 80’s but I wrote a guide that explains a lot about what I do for soloing. Hopefully you can find it to be of use: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/DPS-guide-for-PvE-Dungeons-Soloing-More/first
Arenanet is encouraging exploits by keeping it bugged. May as well do a jumping puzzle to get inside.
On a warrior you don’t want to be using anything besides berserker, but if you absolutely must use one of these then choose knight’s or cavalier. The rest of them are pretty irrelevant to anything.
Omg… you are the only person that I’ve seen besides myself complaining about this. I hate it too! I wish it didn’t seem so rectangularly-divided
I use these traits when mountain goat-ing in Arah.
For reference here are the specific armor sets the OP is talking about:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/2/28/Grasping_Dead_armor_human_female_front.jpg
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/1/1e/Grasping_Dead_armor_human_male_front.jpgAt least I assume they mean heavy armor since that’s discussed further down and I can’t see many people calling the medium and light Arah armors ‘skimpy’.
Since female heavy armor in general actually has a very good range of options from the entire body completely covered in plate mail (and presumably leather and/or cloth under that) to very revealing (and I’d actually say it’s the revealing end that’s lacking options) I assume this is more about the difference between the male and female versions. Which is also something that’s been discussed many, many times.
The short version is that they could never be completely identical because they have to go on different body types (less so for human and sylvari, very much so for norn, but true either way). They could be more similar but then it disappoints the people who want more variety. No one ever agrees, the thread slowly drifts off-topic into something like sexism and stereotypes in general or wild accusations about individual posters genders and preferences and sooner or later it gets locked or dies out. Then a month or so later the next one starts up.
What in the actual kitten kind of person would EVER use those dyes (human female version)?
That is a terrible picture to use for comparison (I’m not blaming it on you, it’s not your fault lol). The average person is going to immediately favor the male version just because of the disgusting fashion sense the person using the female set has.
This is a complaint in the mmo community as old as mmos have been around. Unfortunately it seems most developers think that there are no girls on the internet. To be fair girls aren’t the only minority anet ignores. RPers, Rangers and wvw.community are just as unimportant. The lich armor is kinda weird on girls. If you want BA armor I recommended cof armor + achievement armor. Also dry bones bottom + named exotic top is pretty intimidating. The sorrow dungeon armor is pretty gnarly looking too. Hope this helps!
CoF armor…? BA…?
Aside from the top and shoulders, I think it might be one of the most grotesque armor sets available (at least for human females)… the legs especially.
I joined to mentor Arah in EU and got a few pm’s today, taught someone how to solo/duo Arah P4. ’Twas fun!
COME TEACH STUFF GUYS.
Not only is this a poorly-thought out idea in general but it wouldn’t even solve the “problem” that OP mentioned.
Ranged weapons are weak, excluding staff ele which is uber powerful.
People asked for them to be account bound, they did that. Now it is account wide. If they do that what will be next? Not need any at all and just harvest by looking at the node?
Something along the lines of this ran through my mind too lol
The ironic part about it is that guang truly thinks warriors have very low survivability.
Warriors on their own aren’t so great. They need to know to play. But warriors with some guardian support? Different matter entirely.
I’d have to disagree(about the not being so great on their own part).
I mean yes meta axe you might have some trouble with some bleed stacks but using something like hambow is not only highly self sustaining, its got CC and can synergize well with phalanx strength regardless of what stat archetype you choose.
You might not deal as much sustained damage in a corner strat but if people are running around like headless chickens you can certainly deliver group support and CC with hambow.
It sounds crazy I know but I’ve 3 manned that entire bandit room in CM with the two huge groups charging in without corner stacking them with a condi mesmer and a bunker engie, with me doing hambow, I think that alone should speak of something.
I know what their intentions were when releasing it but that doesn’t mean I agree with it.
It is my opinion that as far as PvP is concerned, GW2 has the absolute worst out of any game I’ve ever heard of. The reward system makes it even more embarrassing for me, because they’re handing out rewards from dungeons from it. Getting orrian armor has absolutely nothing to do with the themepark red vs. blue conquest matches, so it isn’t suitable as a reward from it.

I do nothing. I’m saving up for 69,666 shards of zhaitan. At 28k so far.
I very much agree with the idea of giving us a way of working towards skins. I love the PvP reward tracks and would like to have something like that in fractals as well. There’s a dozen ways of implementing this. You could progress by completing fractal runs and your progress would depend on the specific fractals you got. Or you could have specific requirements at the end of each tier like complete MT or run aquatic. This would introduce a little RNG and timegating. Its not something I would do but ANET seems to love that stuff so.
250 pristine relics seems a bit much and a tad uncreative. Fractal reward tracks would give ANET a way of incentivizing certain fractals and balancing rewards/progress according to fractal difficulty.
Furthermore I want to repeat what I said: completely replace skins with boxes. Goes for ascended stuff as well.
Also: 3g instead of 1g please. And +1 on exchanging rings for dragonite.
I think the pvp reward tracks was a poor implementation because you’re getting rewards that are meant to be from completing dungeons, but oh well.
I get your point, but not everyone has a lot of those materials to use the forge recipe. I personally have uh… 122 shards of crystallized mist essence atm, but I have spoken to friends with over 100 relics and only like 20 of em.
Either way, the option wouldn’t hurt and wouldn’t take much effort to implement. The ideas I suggested took that into account because ultimately I’d like to rework a lot more than just the reward system for fractals :P
The mossman exploit is the only one that I can think of off the top of my head. I don’t know of any other ones unless you count blink/lightningflash/shadowstep to skip through tons of terrain.
Don’t look that much into it.
They aren’t encouraging you to wear random garbage, they’re encouraging you to rage uncontrollably until you get to a mental state of submission, where you will spend your life savings on the gem store and worship the almighty Net of Arena for all of eternity.
I think everyone agrees with you about the rewards. It’s so SO stupid.
What I think should be the case:
Pristine Relics:
-10x for ring
-30x for infused ring
Introduce more ways to make use of vials of condensed, globs of coagulated, and shards of crystallized mist essences:
-either mystic forge recipes or crafting recipes involving them to form perhaps lumps of mithrillium, globs of elder spirit residue, spools of silk weaving thread, or spools of thick elonian cord.
-mystic forge recipes that would enable one to perhaps convert a certain amount of them into pristine/regular fractal relics?
As for fractal weapons…
I feel like they’ve been done horribly. A simple yet effective solution of keeping them extremely rare yet possible to acquire would be to have them dropped in FotM like they already are, but you can only get the ones you don’t already have unlocked in the wardrobe. Also, I would not be opposed to adding them to the vendor for 100x pristine relics each.
Tonic should be kept as it is in my opinion. I kind of like the idea of there being something extremely rare to obtain but not beneficial in any sort of way. Just something that’s there and will freak me out if I ever get it.
It occurs for me if I have an exotic fractal equipment box. The second I got rid of that piece of kitten, the glitch stopped.
Magic find is not useful.
Lmfao.
This is one of the worst ideas I’ve read on the forums in ages.
Which is precisely why FOTM is best for this, the majority of the playerbase could do the low level fractals that are easy and the hardcore can attempt to do it on level 50.
FotM is terrible because of the lack of rewards. The fact that I can do AFK dungeons like CoF/AC and get the same rewards for it is insulting.
No offense but I don’t think you would be able to defeat any skilled person with this setup out in the open unless you caught em on low hp. The only real burst that you have is final thrust on sword MH, because hammer is terrible for damage and only good for cc.
With your build, the only way I feel you could burst anyone down would be for superior sigil of intelligence to activate when swapping to sword rather than hammer, followed by a final thrust. You should not have that sigil on your hammer.
Dual wielding isn’t too big of a deal really if you’re on 65003, because you’re (hopefully) going to only be swapping to axe when you want to either make use of an energy sigil on the warhorn or whatever, to blast in a combo field, or to apply weakness/acquire vigour, or all of the above. The main source of damage will still be GS
If you’re on 66002 that’s another story… you pretty much cannot afford to swap at all without sacrificing a very large amount of your DPS.
EA isn’t as worthwhile as you seem to make it out to be. In optimal conditions, meaning consistent and perpetual 25 might and fury with both banners etc., it’s barely better DPS for a party of 5 overall than it is for the warrior to be 6/6/0/0/2 or 6/5/0/0/3.
Even if your party is all perfect, the difference is literally less than a thousand DPS.
Not sure what kind of people you get in your PUGs, but I sure as hell am not going to assume the ones I typically get to be flawless performers. I can barely get anybody that knows how to read, lol.

Alternatively, you can also run Crucible of Eternity and The Ruined City of Arah or buy level 80 berserker exotics off the trading post. Keep in mind that the trinkets amount to a lot altogether so you should focus heavily on getting a few FotM runs done so that you’re able to start out on your backpiece and rings. The two rings you’ll want are ‘Red Ring of Death’ and ‘Crystalline Band.’
Nothing is wrong with her tells, but I will admit it is rather difficult to discern them with other people huddled near her (especially if one of them is a guardian). A simple solution to this was to go on minimum settings.
They’re going to end up nerfing her anyways I think. I personally like the new Mai but such an overwhelming majority of people are QQing that it seems pretty obvious it’s not gonna last.
That’s not helpful advice… doing knockbacks and negligible damage isn’t going to be helping the party cleave mobs down.
Err… almost.
You don’t want to be activating signet of fury, it’s there for the extra precision. You also don’t want to be using your burst skills once you get to higher levels and can use grandmaster traits because you’ll have access to a trait called ’Berserker’s Power’ which will give you 15% extra damage when your adrenaline is full resulting in a large DPS loss every time you use a burst skill.
Also, axe offhand is really bad. Whirling axe does less DPS than the autoattack chain. #4 is fine for the extra fury but generally speaking you’ll be wanting to make use of GS as much as possible anyways, so mace offhand would be better so that you can apply vuln and make the best use of the time you aren’t on GS.
Keep in mind that the advice I’m offering here isn’t going to be applicable until you have the option of making use of more traits, so for the moment what you are doing is going to be sufficient for open world leveling.
Are you insinuating that a warrior isn’t trying to contribute if they aren’t using EA?
It really does bother me when I’m doing something by myself perfectly fine and some noobs run over and upscale the event.
There are obvious benefits to the megaserver system but there are drawbacks too.
I have this problem often. It’s either when I’m trying to LOS mobs around an object and my tab targeting is glitched and won’t target the mob that I’m trying to, or when I’m kiting something and trying to use tremor at the same time. It won’t work.
snip
Berserker solos can’t even be done as fast as Goku’s there anymore, due to deep strikes trait fixed along with the strength runes DPS nerf. The fastest we can get to is around 2:50 now optimally, possibly sub-2:50 but it would require solid RNG.
So in a nearly vacuum setting the condition build well exceeds berserker in DPS against heavy armor targets. It’s hardly even close now. :P
I’d never under any condition bring EA in a pug team lmao.
Pretty much never going to convince me to go into the tactics trait line unless I’m going for like, a record speedclear with rT. I remember not too long ago someone asked me in swamp for a level 18 fotm pug if I had EA and I said “nah” so I wonder if you’re referring to me?
I normally never duo anything besides Arah P4 with people I know well but I kind of stopped doing it due to the market for it being pretty much destroyed.
You actually have a lot better of a mindset than most people around your level (and higher) have. You won’t need battle standard really, swap that for signet of rage. Also I recommend banner of discipline for champs, if not then perhaps just for great justice + signet of might + signet of fury or if you want swap one of the signets out for bull’s charge in open world for even more mobility, since you don’t really need anything else anyways.
For dungeons, however, you will want to by default use for great justice, signet of fury, and banner of discipline/strength depending on whether or not somebody else has one of the two banners covered. The reason you want for great justice over signet of might is because you want to make sure you have fury at all times.
Weapons of choice are typically GS and swap to axe + X.
X can be anything depending on the circumstance — if you need a block, sword offhand. If you need more mobility/a blast finisher/weakness go for warhorn. If you need to contribute more to a boss’s vulnerability stacks or to cc mobs go for mace offhand.
I’m honestly perplexed as I read through some of the comments here. There are people that found some of the missions in the personal story challenging…!??!
I just about nearly was AFK for the whole thing, wth. What was I missing out on that was hard? I think the strongest mob in the whole personal story was uh… a veteran.
M8 there are 10 pieces missing to that puzzle. Y u do dis.
He probably used either bull’s charge or savage leap or both afterwards. You can’t just ignore cooldowns.
RNG my cat. I agree.
There is no coincidence here with my constant 3-4 swarm spawns at Lupi. Arenanet staff member is obviously watching me as I stream and pressing the big red “4 swarm button” and laughing hysterically as I stealth and reset the fight.
I agree with OP. It’s nice to have some challenge for a change.
The only modifications I’d like to make are:
a) cannon phase RNG – it shouldn’t be possible to have absolutely no way of avoiding them due to RNG.
b) teleportation projectile – shouldn’t be AoE – should only damage the person targeted
c) MAKE A DECENT REWARD SYSTEM kitten .
The best birthday gift they could give me would be to implement a captcha system to LFG posts to weed out the illiterate.
maha.7902 & Thaddeus.4891, you’re dealing with a lost cause here lmao.
There is absolutely no way you are going to convince a person like this that they’re wrong. They don’t care about the truth.
restart when you die or bust
I actually do this unless it’s at Melandru for luring the gorillas southeast ^^
