Out of curiosity, I understand your feedback, but what are you hoping for? The Megaserver isn’t going to not be implemented. Too much time and money has been invested in it.
Also, and do correct me if I am wrong here having not participated in one of your raids, but didn’t the guilds often gather on overflows? That required more hassle than the Megaserver offers now surely?
It may even allow for you to teach a new and wider audience the raids. Srely taht is as exciting as when you first made the alliances to take down the bosses?
Ah Kilroy, the forefather of zerker
may he RIP
We were big fans of that movie because it was the FIRST movie to combine cartoons and live action,
What, you never saw Mary Poppins?
Or Bedknobs and Broomsticks which combined cartoon and live action in the 70’s…
On topic…toon was used in mmo’s before WoW. I know I heard it when I played Anarchy Online and that launched 13 years ago. WoW likely just popularised it due to the volume of players plus the gfx style.
Not quite. KiIlling the Great Destroyer prevented his full awakening. Primordus stirred, but did not fully awaken for 2 generations (according to the wiki entry)
There is pretty much non-stop discussion on this in both the living story sub forums if you want to read up on the current speculations.
Opening up Maguuma is largely what is hoped
A similar question was put to the pvp team and the resonse was something on the lines of the features in Tuesdays patch put them a step closer to implementing a build saver, but there isn’t one due in the immediate future.
Inspired by your look, I’ve mashed something together. Still playing with shades of the colours, but I’m approx. where I want to be with it
Today we have the gathering booster and repair cannister
Thanks Anet as always for the freebies
I think 2) worked fine as it was. ALright, the NPC’s were idiots and should have taken notice of an impemneding attack, but the event itself (well the first battle) was well done I thought and I wouldn’t really have changed it.
1) I agree totally with. Our fatcion HQ’s would be the a great place to get the info on where we need to go next – eg thumper locations, places to visit of interest, clues etc.

That’s me that is!
was just curious if anyone besides me plays this game for any reason other than bashing it.
lots of new possibilities on the horizon for a game which for me at least could really use some “juice” after nearly two years of trial and error.
if that doesnt excite you and you still play GW2 (why else would you be here) then i dont get why you are still playing(other than finding things to complain about).
eagerly awaiting feature pack and any news on LW season 2. even if its just me.
No, alsoI play it because I enjoy the game. I’m currently taking a break to catch up on my backlog of other games…a backlog caused by playing too much GW2!
There’s still tons of potential in future content in GW2, I look forward to the journey ahead!
You gave up on Ele too soon. I can understand why, but when you hit 80 (or ceratinly near 80), eles turn a corner and become much better. I nearly gave up on my Ele at mid level for the reasons you listed – I am extermely glad I pushed forward with him
That’s a really nice steampunky look, although not overly taken on the back item myself.
I see from the blog the implications the mega server has for event timers has yet to be addressed.
We will be addressing this in part 2/3. Sorry for the delay, I’m guessing it was decided that each portion of this announcement was big enough to deserve it’s own news day. Given the volume of posts in this thread, it might be for the best.
A volume primarily caused by players waiting for answers coming tomorrow and Friday. Putting the remaining info out today also would have given more time to round up and answer questions before the weekend.
Loving the announcements so far, info feels overly drawn out right now though
(p.s I appreciate it isn’t your decision on the info timing)
It’s been suggested a ton of times and is a good idea. Only time will tell if it is something long term beign worked on.
The tech behind it sounds fascinating.
As long as it doesn’t impact on connections, fps and lag etc this should be an intriguing feature to watch unfold
The only people who can answer this is support. An in game ticket or a query in the support subforum can be your only option. The general discussion is a community subforum and realistically, we have no idea what could have happened to the guild.
The support team can tell you with precision what happened though.
Trans splitters have gone since they will not be needed after the feature patch hits. All existing ones will be converted into Transmutation Charges.
Just remember, pvp gear will disappear from your toon after patch. Remember to check the wardrobe before panic sets in!
I’d post a screenshot of a bobble headed spider…but I’d have to look at the screen…
They are freeeeaky!!!!
Ahh I see. So is this a dead wurm or just a bursting out point?
Found it out in Bloodtide. Looked too far north for a Wurm (its was just up north between Stormbluff and Taidra’s island)
The pvp armor that I am wearing, like right now this second….
What happens to it?
If skins are being normalized across game modes, it seems like its just going to disappear.
Iirc from the dev reply in the pvp forums, you will be completely stripped of pvp gear and those skins will be auto dumped into the wardrobe
Yeah they’ve been there I think since launch. I noticed them a few months ago, but because they aren’t obvious, I forget about them!
You’re right, they are a nice find
I’m trying to understand why this was moved to sPvP section when this is about underwater combat, in the game period.
I know, I flagged it up to a mod, so hopefully it will return to general since it’s a discussion about UW combat in general, not pvp…
The forums represent such a tiny amount of people in the community, neitehr answer you would get would be representative. I think BeardRex summed it up when saying that none of the changes are a good reason to leave on their own (well in my opinion, others will vary obviously).
It’s a free to play game. People will come, people will go, people will will return.

It certainly needs some work, but having said that..in pve I absolutely love it. Alright, a lot of the skills really need a rework, but the overall ambience is amazing for me.
I suspect if we ever go up against Bubbles, that will be the time they rework UW stuff though and maybe bring it back to pvp after that.
I wont disappear from pve, partly since it isn’t worth the re-work to maps. And we’’re off to Maguuma next and there’s no water there to worry about, giving them more time to work on the problem and develop it properly.

Nope..just dropped off to nearly the 3rd page due to amount of duplicating threads
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Feedback-Questions-PvP-Reward-Tracks/first#post3826638
It has been brought up in several threads…however the fact I can’t immediately see them suggests it was moved and merged to the pvp subforum where it was more appropriate
In the PvP forum it says everything in equip and bank will be unequipped;
1) Does that apply to PvE gear?
2) What will happen if you run out of invent space if the above happens?
3) If it unequips, I presume the skin will stay on the item?
4) When an item goes to the wardrobe, what is the default dye scheme? Is it last colour scheme used as it currently is, or will it it revert to original?
Apologies if these have been answered – its a long thread and stuff is hard to find!
A) Yes
B) Yes, but less so due to account bound Ascended
C) Yes
Aha ok thanks guys, that’s much more clearly explained than the blog post.
I’m almost certainly being thick, but I have to say I found it really poorly worded about how Pvp and dungeon rewards were linked. Can anyone re-explain it for my benefit?
The devs have asked that ALL thoughts and feedback go into the designated feedback threads to make it easier for them to read and collate
Most of the feature patch is entirely based on feedback. The wardrobe/town clothes have been in development since the wallet – a reversal or coding change this close to patch is probably unfeasible from a workload point of view, especially as they have put out a pretty reasonable and well articulated reason why it is, how it is.
The forums make up a tiny proportion of the community and the devs have to make changes based on the wider game, not just a few people who will be put at a loss. Are they going to please everyone? No, but that’s life and business.
As for compensation, well there’s still more info to come yet – including Ready Ups and collated feedback replies and more patch info. Maybe you will hear more in the days to come.
April Fools applies to 1st April exclusively, not any other part of the month. Neither the preview or the patch fall on that date.
It would also be one of the absolutely stupidest things an MMO company has ever done.
I think we can safely say whatever they throw at us next Tuesday, it is not the suggestion you put forward in that thread
I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I’m the only one and I walk Lions Arch alone..
The same players would demand this from team members, would be the same players who would kick anyone below “their” threshold of skill – which wouldn’t be the people you’d be teaming with any way.
I understand totally your concerns, but it wont be any more of a problem than it is now
The team are frantically collating feedback, and whilst what you say is extremely relevant, it will go overlooked if you don’t post in the main thread the devs are actively reading and collating right now
There’s nothing like going up against Lupicus in just your pants..
The only 2 things I’ll add is that I know you write “bad living story”, you have missed some excellent chapters. OK, granted that probably makes you feel worse in that you can no longer replay them, but be careful about judging the Living STory when it has had some big improvements (including some of that challenging content you ask for – Teq/Wurm/Scarlet herself were just a start I would say)
As for new stuff, well April is shaping up to be a big overhaul of core features. Some of it is quality of life stuff rather than content, but it builds up when put together.
One of the key moments will come with the new season of Living STory. It still needs to change or improve more may be a better phrase. If it starts how Season 1 started, that doesn’t necs bode well for a section of the community who aren’t behind it.
As for me, I view this as just a game. What they do, is what they do at the end of the day – there are bigger issues in this world than anything GW2 has to worry about.
I have a quick tip. When we create Feedback threads, put your feedback in them. Too many folks come to General Discussion and start new threads, without checking to see if there is an on-going discussion.
Our team has been merging and closing/redirecting quite a bit this week, and is immensely helpful for you getting heard, when we can look in one main thread for very specific feedback and questions.
Fluffball has the right of it, too, in regards to /how/ you post. I’ve compiled a lot of feedback which is constructive and critical. If it is LOL THIS SUCKS I HATE YOU #yolo #swag, you’re pretty much shooting yourself in the foot.
Mark, Allie, and I spent a huge amount of time compiling feedback and sharing it with the Dev Teams, and in turn, the Dev Teams lurk and compile their own feedback. Keeping things concise, respectful, and constructive is the key.
Here’s a handy guide on how we like to see feedback. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/How-to-Give-Good-Feedback
And for Pete’s sake…very clear thread titles is a must.
Whilst I absolutely 1000% agree with this, sometimes I think it would be easier for you guys to set these threads up in a sep subforum after an announcement, where no other threads can be created except by a dev. That way, all the feedback gets funnelled into them and you can collate easier.
This was the one thing that raised my eyebrows a bit, but when you think about it..increasing the gold wouldn’t encourage more events, it would just mean ppl would farm one particular event or a small set of repeating events.
My main concern is new players – events can be the main source of income until they start getting into the dungeons and TP selling etc. They are the ones who could be hit by this if at all.

Difficult to answer since everyone is differently motivated. I can set off in a given direction and just do stuff. Anything really. Or play and alt, tick off dailys, maybe do some World Tours. I gel rather well with the ease of play the game offers in that respect. When my guild is active – that’s where the real fun starts. Maybe that is all you need?
However, every single MMO I play or have played I experience what you experience. The simple answer is not to force yourself to play it just “because”. That’s the road to hating it even more. If you like the game enough, you’ll find a reason to play it. If not…then its F2P so enjoy playing other stuff and play this only when you feel “the urge”. I suspect that urge will return when the next big story arc comes around and we get (hopefully) the whole of Maguuma starting to unlock.
Currently I feel the same with Lotro. I really, really want to play it, but I’m like “meh” when I log in. That feeling will go eventually and I’ll get back into it, but I’m not going to play until that point.
It’s not that the game is empty, it’s that the game is spread over a huge area with lots of servers and with content usually stacked each month into 1-2 zones.
With group events, if a call out in map chat doesn’t work, then it’s down to friends and guilds lists or guesting to higher population servers. WIth any MMO, anywhere , group quests will always have the drawback of being an issue if there is a low population at that time.
Arah aside, they have no correlation to the personal story. You can do them whenever you want.
However, as Arah has ties to both, I’d suggest getting both Personal story and dungeon stories done (in any order) then doing Arah to cap both off.
But in my last cutscene, Eir mentioned wishing there were some kind of way to bring Logan and Rytlok closer, and then runs off. I felt like that was the clue to do AC story mode.
I figured all the dungeons had some kind of door within the story like that.
Ok, I’d partly forgotten about that, but what they refer to comes from what happened in the novel rather than what happens in the dungeon. But, yes I suppose for continuity you could start Ascalonian Catacombs after that cutscene.
As far as a story door from the PS to the others? I don’t remember any.

It would damage the way you obtain low lvl mats. Also, 4 maps give T6 mats – Cursed Shore, Malchors (well, very rarely), Frostgorge and Southson (wouldn’t surprise me if more level 80 zones are on the way in Maguuma).
However, you can upgrade lower level mats into the T6 mats – so by a long winded method, you can obtain T6 mats via farming low level maps. The exchange rate is abysmal though.
I prefer exchanging laurels personally, which gets me a fair few in stocks

Actually, it is much easier for the devs for you to post in the big thread. That is the one they are specifically collating issues from (it is sooo much easier to collate from one thread than multiple) and when they feedback answers, it will be from there.
