I think this one time where it isnt whining. A lot of constructive feedback is in this thread and some really great ideas (love the licences idea). Compare this to the legendary/ascended threads which were mostly just offensive and by a lot of non players.
I think the nub of the matter is they have misunderstood the term small guild in their community. This is going a long way to correct that i hope
Its deliberate, the design is to tell u the zones and u go out and find it rather than have an arrow direct players. I know u what u mean by vague, but i preferred it. I just took used the mail as a rough guide and headed to the relevant zones.
Sadly, there was barely any content for it. A good story is building here, but we want more!!
I know they changed it so if u already got a chest from a dragon, u wont get a second from the same one that day. Beyond that, i have no clue
I don’t use twitter, so in response to the tweet that just went out, no the above issues incl disconnects are only happening to me in LA. No issues since I moved to Frostgorge
It is the skin you are paying for and they can be transmuted onto other back items if that helps (I put my guild one onto the exotic from the Grenth Karma vendor last week)
According to Twitter it’s a known issue. There’s a couple of threads they are tracking on the tech forum if you guys wanted to add your voice so it’s all kept together
Torn on Guild Missions. I can live with us small guilds not having access to the higher tier stuff – that ofc is them responding to the community asking for bigger events/raids. But, even the small guild stuff requires disproportionate amount of influence. The lowest lvl stuff should have been accessible straight after patch regardless so ppl can go off and start them.
The Living STory. Well, I’m enjoying the idea and last month was excellent and really atmospheric. This month was so short it’s a wonder why they didn’t just hold off until more was ready. It’s a good story you seem to be building, but I want at least a day or 2’s content, not a few minutes (not inc achievement since thats just rinse and repeat)
Previewing TP – fab!!!!!
Laurel + ecto cost for new ascended? Very bizarre. No consistentcy here as I put in the main thread elsewhere.
Dailys? Never had an issue with the other versions, can’t see any issues here either. You’ve given what the community asked for, any further complaints, well you can’t please everyone I guess
I love that you are giving us monthly content, but this one felt a little rushed and there’s a feeling more problems have been created that may need re-balancing later.
I almost wouldn’t mind the price, I just don’t get the inconsistency. Also, why choose an item used for so many other things? Orbs/lodestones/T6 mats in suitable qtys would have been better if this was a route they wanted. Or lower laurel cost to compensate.
Very bizarre
Haven’t had one of these for an hour, so maybe it was just related to the spike in people patching/logging in. I’ll leave the info up on the thread in case it’s of use to the tech team
Slightly confused. Why are the new ascended 40 laurels + 50 ectos? That’s inconsistent with the other prices and ectos are needed for so many things these days without any additional ways to gain them (or improved loot chances).
The Consortium have popped up again during a major catastrophe. Very convenient!
Perhaps this not dragon related at all, but something stirred up by this new group..
A new issue just started happening. Getting disconnected and the re-connecting in a previous zone or WP. Had it once before earlier this week, but is happening a few times since patch
It’s likely that it is because so many are patching at once more than anything else
Whilst I still maintain it’s difficult to pass judgement on them until they go live, I really hope that there are benefits to small guilds which are actually a small group of friends. In the interview I read, 10-15 ppl online is regarded as a small guild. Ive been in many guilds in many games..10-15 online is larger than a small guild.
I’ll keep the faith for now though!
I agree. I love the skins so have transmuted them onto exotics and I love that they kept the same story reward style of the first game.
Should they be exotics at the barterer? Definitely in my opinion anyway
Completely agree with Goldenwing re: small guild situation as we have a smililar situation. However, Anet wont be able to adjust/respond to this until it goes live and we can see what’s what.
ALl in all, it’s sounding fab as a concept – looking forward to it
A useful thread with good discussions between community and a dev. Could be worth a sticky, since I’ve seen this question come up a few times and the posts in here do well to answer many of the issues
A good list, well put together. I second what Vayne says. And it makes sense from an rp point of view as well as you are helping other heroes and thus establishing your own legacy.
Yep, first seeing him flying overhead was one of the best moments during my main levelling
Following north I got sidetracked by a big side battle, but every now and again, you’d hear that roar overhead!
If that’s what you are after Hermit, you will love them. And to be honest, some of the boss designs in Arah are really good. Even Lupin, who despite being a long fight, was still a decent mechanic. Kudos to their designers and I hope they aren’t affected too much by the upcoming changes. It’s just the in between bits where my (personal) issue lies.
WHen we died and the trash turned on and nearly killed a boss for us, then you know the trash have been over powered and something has gone wrong in the design
Did our first Arah exp. Have to say, largely unimpressed for the 1st time in this game. Loved every dungeon design up to this point and loved the boss design in Arah. But, to have harder trash than bosses is just poor design imo
Hopefully it’ll be re-balanced to be sensible and fun.

Occasionally I get in, but then if I need to log it’s multiple attempts. They did reply (surprisingly quickly) by email to say they are working on it. Guess it is a major issue since when this last happened it was fixed within the hour
I second that Afoxi! And third it! Very much want specs on my ele and the cultural human ones aren’t quite right
Town clothes are very popular in mmo in game stores although most allow you to wear them as your armor/armor skin. There’s certainly a couple in the store I’d happily buy if I could transmute them in the way you suggest above
Having said that, I’d probably still buy town clothes with gems as they currently are if I saw anything I fancied. I imagine eventually a better range will be introduced in time
Vince, if you look up mystic clovers on GW2Wiki, it gives you the process. The mats are actually the result of failing the clover recipe and you can build up a good stack of T6mats or even lodestones if you are willing to invest in 10x recipes (makes more sense when you read the wiki entry).
I tried converting bloodstones to T6 mats after I finished my legendary…except ended up with a stack of clovers instead.. Such is luck
Yes wasn’t a great fight, although I agree artisically it looked great (although I maintain he was still far too small vs the concept art and lore).
I’d be interested to understand why they chose to make it such a weak final boss fight with not even a couple of extra mechanics zelda-esque style. At least so we can discuss their reasonings.
Either way and most importantly is how they handle future dragons. Jormag is the one I’m most lookingf orward to as he is being presented as a much more classic dragon and that could be a hell of a fight if the right mechanic was drawn up. Kralkatorrik’s size prohibits a proper fight, but anyone who has played Shadow of the Colossus will understand how over-sized bosses could be worked correctly. Not sure about Primordius – the lag from any underground/steam effects seems to lag the game for me, so I’m not sure I’d find going up against him a smooth expereince anyway!
Thanks for the response guys, all clear on the subject thanks to Rasputin
Ah it’s possible I may have mis-read the wiki entry. Are fine infusions different to the bought ones – ie upgraded versions?
Do the infusions from the laurel vendor give agony resistance too? The wiki site says yes, but they aren’t mentioned on the tooltip has having +5 to agony.
Seems to make the fractals vendor one a bit redundant if they do.
thanks!
I like your Guardian idea
Skylight, what’s that very nice looking sword you have?
Nevermind, found the issue in game discussion forum with a dev reply.
As you were
Not a biggie, but most of my slayer deeds which were at 1000/1000 are now at 999/1000.
Anyone else with the issue? Will send a bug report ofc

I’m all for the return of dervishes..but not sure if they’d fit in GW2.
There’s more discussion with a dev post in

For ref
Sounding gooder and gooder!
I like the acknowledgement that the population has risen recently. SHould paid to those threads we see.
Looking forward to more fun in a couple of weeks
I second legendary dyes. Luminous/Starry Sky/Rainbow/Shifting Flame would be awesome. And also apply to weapons!
As for armour, well I guess I’d like to see racial conisderations – eg the
-Mech suggestion for asura,
-something tree/made of vines which would say grow fruit as you moved for a sylvari
-Something Norse God-like for Norns
-Humans to have something maybe based on historical armor = Roman, Pirate, Arthurian etc
- Charr – something that crosses Steampunk with trophies from a hunt
Depends on the mmo. I can happily play Anarchy and Secret World with no issues (TSW is similar to GW in some mechanics anyway and AO is so old school it was outdated long ago in all but charm and atmosphere).
LOTRO I sadly barely play now, but that may also be in part because the game is long past its best and has run out of steam/imagination (you can always tell when the focus shifts to “re-balancing” every year…) It’s also very slow and un-epic compared to GW. In that respect GW2 has killed an mmo for me (not that I’m complaining given how enjoyable GW2 turned out to be!)
I’d love to see the asuran specs – its the only thing missing to re-create my original ele in this game. Also, that cool staff from a pre-order bonus. Something like Hourglass Staff? I can’t remember.
I don’t miss the awful ele armor in GW1. They were almost entirely all dull and unimaginative and I’m glad to see so many better options in GW2.
Brilliant thread!
I’ve included one of me finding myself standing next to Ironman in a Claw of Jormag raid. Long live the Guild War Avengers!
I had about 40% return on the 10x recipe, so I prob had a run of very good luck.
Even when you fail the 10x, you still get big stack the T6 mats and on occasion 20 lodestones, so I still maintain it is worth it if you can afford the investment of items into it.
Afaik, there is no diff in return of 1x Vs 10x, it is just the gamble Vs result.
Yes the tooltip is incorrect. If you are worried about losing your item, def worth testing it on some junk first
I searched for a similar question earlier and this should help

Make sure u transmute onto a white item in order to make it acct bound. It is still working

The main reason is that there is a sticky dedicated to this subject and we don’t require more, that would be overkill on this forum with so many being created daily. The devs are FULLY aware of the problem and have stated they are dealing with it. They just deal with it in waves rather than after every forum post/report.
I sincerely hope that Cantha does make it into the game. Not having it would be a ridiculous business decisisn to prevent the devs realising what would be a glorious setting
It is ofc only speculation, but after reading the comment at the end of this wiki article it also doesn’t surprise me
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Great_Collapse
Still, since there is no proof this is actually what is happening, may be lets discuss why we loved Cantha so at least there’s visibility of us wanting to see its return

If this what they can achieve on launch, imagine what places like kaineng city or the vabbi palaces could like when we get there.
What with skyrim and gw2, we really have been treated to some amazing fantasy landscapes these last couple of years.
Mavaho – now that is superb looking armor! Great colours too!
Temple events and Jormag are great ways to get pve player rezzes.
I don’t see NPC rezzing as cheating, since it’s supposed to be a dynamic world where even NPCs are meant to be important. Therefore keeping them alive is very much in the spirit of the game
