A mish mash of Guild chest, T1 shoulders, T2 Helm, T3 leggings and Hall of Monuments gloves
I got moot for my warrior. Its an awesome skin, so based on that bias i vote for that
Having hit 100% on my main, I think this is great idea for an alt.
I’ve been trying to do this from the start of my guardian, but I still fall into the trap of wping/map checking out of laziness, but it is so much more fun when you just let yourself wander (the Living STory in Wayfarer was much more enjoyable this way).
I’ll (try) to follow the first 3 rules (I like using TP for acquisition so I’ll stick with that)
Good luck on your adventure!
No but, been getting chat bugs in our guild all day which may be connected. Includes some people showing as not representing when they are and unable to use chat and chat lag. The chat lag is made worse when what you type appears out of order lol
It seems an intermittent issue atm
Ah yes – very nice!
Picture, man! picture!
:)
When did they say it was nothing to do with the dragons? I remember reading that this patch wouldn’t have a dragon, but not that the story wouldn’t lead to one.
Oh I don’t mind it being there, just not a fan personally
easy to do over a month, so it’s not a big issue
Variety probably. Prob more things to rotate through now rather than it being gone entirely
Seconded, but only if they add relevant content with it (eg a fractal or small zone or something)
Fairly straight forward. I’m not a fan of salvaging as a monthly, but there’s something for everyone in there and there’s no wvw/pvp stuff/fractals so that should please a lot of people in Feb.
Seems absolutely fine and un-intrusive to normal gameplay to me
And I hear Jormag in the backround..so thats the irst 5 events coming up
On occasion I go there just because I like the area and I like the Karka as an enemy. It’s nice having a zone full of high hp mobs – Lotro did it with its Limlight Gorge zone and it went down really well.
I’d love a real reason to go there though. I don’t mind the rich orichalcum node going, I just want to see more added to it, even if its just vistas and quests and a few more DE’s
Yeah they stated in an earlier update it would start in feb so people wouldn’t miss out if they had already done them or feel they’d have 2 days to do monthly if they waited
I disagree – I found Orr very intersting and enjoyable and it was refreshing to see such an enormopus number in Cursed post-patch. Long may that last.
Having said that, I do like your ideas – particularly the meta for all 5 temples. It would require a very large amount of coordination, but if the rewards were right (a high chance of precursor or massive gold/karma/laurels rewards maybe), it has potential.
They are 1 currency for whole account yes
Level 80 is just fine
My understanding is that Jan wouldn’t count either way, only Feb onwards?
So the quote proves no forced grind. It says they put in grind for amazing skins, but not for best gear. There is no grind for best gear as you get the mats/karma/coin just by playing
You will get a mail after noon PST about when it starts (it may require zoning for it to pop up). Should be soon
I’ve encountered zero grind that I haven’t chosen to embark on. No gold acquisition, karma gain or gear gain involved grind, nor did the build I am currently very happy with for pve (not sure why you need 100g when you can craft or gain karma for most of it)
Was there a grind for Legendary? Yes, a massive one. But I chose that and I had zero issue with it, since it wasn’t necessary for me to get it. I just wanted one.
No MMO has zero grind. It’s just whether it forces you to do it, which GW doesn’t in order to be successful at playing the game. In that respect, it stuck to the manifesto as far as I personally view it
Personally, I prefer the new dailys and hope they stay. I like playing them and I like making more out of them (eg our guild found original ways to die to get rez deed. Only a superb death got a rez).
The rez deed is also solo friendly as it includes NPCs. Dead NPCs are dime a dozen
I have to say, I’ve disagreed with all the posts about the moaning over dailys/laurels so far, but this is actually something I can see as a valid point. I don’t have multiple alts, so I never saw this as an issues, but yes I can see entirely how someone like yourself with a few alts will struggle to earn enough laurels for them all until they implement other ways of gaining laurels.
Character based laurels/dailys would seem to be the answer although they’d have to address the Karma issue too (I’m sure there are ways round)
You can indeed transmute it after it has been used on a trash item. Including Guild Backpacks
Hoooooooooope thaaaaat heeeeeeeeeelps
Not true, the entire patch was in response to community feedback – almost never see an MMO devote a single patch to that. ANd this is only part one of multiple patches over the next 2 months.
I personally think they’ve done an excellent job with the dailys. I love the variety and getting you to experience various parts of the game. This is exactly what an earlier community thread specifically asked for and now there are threads asking for the opposite. I agree bugs should be better checked, but the devs probably wont know which way to turn at the moment. Whatever they do with dailys, regardless of whether they are listening, seems to be heralded as being wrong.
Just reset..no combo or crafting you are safe
Yes, you hit the time for daily reset
You can make ingots from ore which you will pick up as you play the game. No issue on that one really
Hilarious – 30+ ppl in a big event in Orr button bashing skills, special FX everywhere as ppl try and get this achievement
The Moot is very cool now with disco footsteps
Got 1 obsidian Shard and 66 Unidentifiable objects. Spent all my excess Karma (45k). Be interested to hear what others got to see if its worth spending more in the future
LOVING the new disco footsteps on The Moot
Yeah seconded, looking through the notes, there’s some cool sounding stuff in here
Remember, dungeons have been nerfed in places to compensate for this. We’ll find out shortly by how much
An excellent system which worked very well in Guild Wars 1. Players asked for more tactics in dungeons, this opens the door to it in my eyes.
Patch hasn’t hit yet, but patch notes are up with details of new items going into gem store
Nah, I just want the skin
Thanks!
Great tip, thanks revan
Ive seen an amazing shield skin at the priory vendor, but my char is with the vigil. The same skin is also available from pvp rewards.
It may sound a silly question, but can pvp skins carry over into the pve world?
Anet prob wont answer – they rarely post answers and they are prob busy with the patch anyway (not saying they wont mind)
If it helps, they have stated in interviews that many are indeed unfinished – they weren’t expecting any to be finished so quickly. They have also said there will be more added over time.
I personally love The Moot and Flameseeker Prophecies. I’d like to see the axe a bit more different from the corrupted skin though, altho it still looks cool.
That is very bad luck. I’ve had a few tonight on diff toons.
Of course a run of bad luck is always prelude to a run of good luck, so think of all the glorious drops you are owed in the time ahead ^^
Gratz on 100%
And yes Tamaki, it does
The vistas will only be in explorable zones. It’s a pain, but you may need to hop to each zone/home city and check which one isn’t 100% if you haven’t already done so. There aren’t any vistas which are unexplainable I’m afraid
Scaling down is one of the major features of the game. It allows people to experience the world at the right lvl, rather than blast through at lvl 80 or “outlevel” an area and not experience it properly. Gear and weaponry however, arent scaled down to the same extent so they will give you that feeling of being stronger as you progress.
I have a feeling a dev did comment in one of them to say no dye drops had been nerfed, but I’d have to dig through to confirm if I read that.
Yeah I know Celtic
The topic comes up every week, but very few replies confirm it. So, no there is nothing going on I’m afraid. Hopefully your luck will change mind. I’ve had a run of poor dye drops in the past then all of a sudden..Abyss dropped!
Patch notes are on GW2 wiki as one port of call, but only after the patch – not before
It’s entirely luck and unfortnately you’ve been by a real stinger of bad luck. I was in Orr yesterday and 4 dropped, including 2 rares.
This topic comes up every week – some people get huge amounts of dyes, some don’t. Swings and roundabouts I guess, but no nerfs, otherwise the whole community would report the same issues and that isn’t the case.
Patches for such improvements are on the way, starting with patch on the 28th Jan, with more big patches due feb/march.
Best advice is to wait until then and check patch notes and see if the improvements are what you are looking to be implemented
