I did Arahs today for the first time in awhile, and boy did it feel good fighting against Lupi and getting prepared for the next stage.

I don’t get why more bosses aren’t like this in the game. Lupi is the only one that comes to mind atm that has stages.

It gets annoying fighting certain bosses that use the same skills all the time and the entire fight is basically avoiding AoE or having proper timing in your dodge or just running around with range avoiding red circles.

Please add more bosses that have stages in the future, much like Lupi does.

On a side note, is the Magg and F/F path of TA working as intended? I’m kind of sick of having to kite enemies during the door on explosives part in path 2 of CoF, and I’m kind of sick of sitting spamming body shot on the tree during the f/f path in TA. Can we at least have it so it’s possible to fight rather than sit back against Fyonna and not have to kite for Magg? I don’t even think it’s possible to fight the enemies that spawn and the constant horde of spiders that fill the entire room.

New player to game, does a dungeon, can’t complete it, rages on forums.

Go play the game a bit more, and you’ll see the dungeons are too easy. The only thing that makes them difficult in this game is the thing that makes just about every dungeon difficult in any game – stupid people.

Fractals are annoying as hell.

AC is farmed a into oblivion because all bosses drop bags and like 15 silver. It’s very easy and you also get the badges for the terrible armor skins which you can just buy to put into the Mystic forge or something to get some of those exotic superior runes.

The best way is to just go for dungeon gear via the badges. By the time you get a full set of armor, you’ll have around 10-20g. That’ll get you a lot.

If you’re looking for just money, run AC.

I run dungeons daily. I’m in a WvW guild. People often wonder how I’m able to afford such things and I hear “I don’t want to buy upgrades the costs are too high”.

Dungeons are by far the most rewarding thing to do. Not only do you get some epic looking exotic armors, you also get roughly 60silver a run.

As much as I’d like fine transmution stones and black lion salvage kits to be elsewhere, I have no problem throwing ArenaNet a couple of bucks to make my character look cool. They deserve it. Having it drop in dungeons… well… why would anyone bother using the gem store?

I’m a lvl 80 Thief looking for a guild that does dungeons often. NA servers only.

Here are the only “Requirements” I have…

I’d like to use it more as a “LFG” tool for those that are… well… not “stupid”. I don’t want to be required to represent the entire time. I am in a guild atm and like being in it, and participate in WvW with them often. However, they are WvW, and I’m interested in doing dungeons.

I like to complete all paths everyday around 5pm to any dungeon besides Arah, which I’d likely only have time to do one path a day (PST time).

Please PM me ingame if you’re an active dungeon guild. However, I am not interested in just going a guild. So if you’re a guild that wants to get bigger, please don’t even bother. I’d like to start doing dungeons now.

I have experience in Arah btw.

I’ll quit the game… the one I waited for for 5 years and spent $1000 on a new computer and bought lots of accessories I didn’t need to increase my play experience, and spent nearly $200 on gems already… if Fractals are the only way to get Ascended (or better than exotic) gear and the only dungeon to get it on and if the much harder, more interesting, and lore related dungeons (the current ones) aren’t given better gear.

Full Arahs shouldn’t be weaker than something received from lvl 10 fractals. Especially since the common Arah path takes 2-4 hours.

I don’t recall ever grinding in this game. I do dungeons consistently, but I have options and its for skins. If I don’t like a dungeon, I simply won’t do it.

There is some grind in this game, if you choose to do it. But by the time you should actually start saving for a legendary, you shouldn’t have to grind unless you blow all your gold or blow all your mats.

This game lacks grind. You just choose to do it. If you want, they can make it like WoW so you have to grind even in PvP if you want to have any form of fun.

Some ideas I had…

Make Commander account wide. Commander is based off of player, not ingame avatar. I have my commander on my thief. I have 4 lvl 80s and like the variety. Why should I be forced to play my thief when I don’t want to, but our server needs a commander when I’m playing.

Change the commander price. It no longer should be based on gold. Since I have 4 80s and am going for 8 of them I’ve been doing dungeons to get their gear. 100g is nothing these days. People are starting to buy it without the incentive to lead, and just want a marker over their head. There are some commanders I never follow and will personally log into my commander character just to get people away from that commander because that commander has absolutely no idea what they’re doing, and when I do that, they start following me with their tag on. The currency should be changed to….

Faction. Add this as a currency. Like GW1, you can get faction, but for your personal server. Keep badges of honor for siege and armor, but faction should be used as a currency to purchase superior siege (over using PvE items and skill points), purchase commander tag (Requires a lot), and claim objectives in World vs World. Faction can be just like Karma, but resets to 0 when you leave the server, but will return to your faction if you enter the server again. This faction is used to…

Purchase badges of honor. Purchase Commander tag. Purchase unique buffs in WvW (such as more magic find, more experience per kill, more karma, +X in X stat), purchase unique dyes only available via Faction. Purchase armor skins. And more.

I like the idea of having a weekly achievement or something for WvW. However, these “achievements”, much like the daily and monthly, should not give achievement points otherwise people will complain (I mean the daily and monthly shouldn’t give achievement points). However, unlike the daily and monthly there is no end. The more you do, the more you’re rewarded. You should get a chest at the end of the week sent in your mail that is unlocked and untradable and account bound.

In this chest there should be a jug of liquid faction, some coins, some badges of honor, and either 3 rares or an exotic (small chance of precursor).

I’ve taken notice that IoJ likes to fight for 2nd place. Would be nice to have WvWvW instead of WvWvRed Borderland.

The “problem” with Blackgate is our NA presence is always doing the uphill battle. We have no one on during the early hours and a majority of people get on around 5pm PST or so.

After that, we go to bed and there is another gap, but SoR and IoJ have this too.

If BG got one more big 100 player guild, we’d be back in T1. Unfortunately we lost a guild when we dropped to T2 because they are bandwagoners and went to SoS, but whatever.

Good to see Blackgate coming out in full force everyday now though. Last week had my head scratching.

People get this mad over a stupid dungeon? What they should be mad about is how P3 in CoF’s difficulty is about 100x that of the other two paths and that you still have to kill yourself to kite for Magg.

Depends on what you want. ArenaNet is in the process of going back and making zones more rewarding. Now that the game has “matured” and has been out for awhile, people are starting to go be only in high level areas or WvW.

I’m on Blackgate, and we have 24/7 WvW. Granted, some of our borderlands are outmanned during specific times, but you’ll always be able to find a party.

Dungeons aren’t too hard to find either.

But if you are looking to level an alt, you’ll be doing it all solo. I’ve completely stopped wasting my time in PvE to lvl and just stick to WvW and run support builds on my lowbies so I’m effective.

Please stop adding these to the monthly achievement. I like to achieve the monthlies but it’s really annoying having to do a dungeon that not only do I not like but goes against everything ArenaNet said.

At least fix fractals difficulty scale before adding this dumb dungeon into the monthly, or at least make dungeons in the future be challenging rather than flat out annoying cough swamp cough.

WvW is a massive part of the game, so I see why a small 50 kills belongs in there. But, Fractals is a dungeon whose difficulty scale goes against ArenaNet’s previous philosphy that you are able to play with your friends all the time and they don’t degrade you from achieving what you want (which is what fractals does).

Or at least make fractals level be considered 1 dungeon path and make it so dungeons are the monthly achievement.

Let’s stop crying about this please. Server time it resets at 4pm. For a majority of the world, it resets on the 1st. You left it for the very last minute, your own kitten fault. Prior proper planning prevents poor procrastinated performances.

Props to SoR. Finished third in the final hours yesterday but came out fighting strong. Most servers would have given up. IoJ though… you guys had this massive burst to claim 2nd but have another poor start? Outmanned this early in the matchup is going to cause another uphill battle.

This garbage seriously needs to be addressed, especially with the current culling issues and such. You should not be able to stomp kill someone if they can’t see you or attack you or do anything about it.

Or at least change some skills for certain classes to become invulnerable for some time to prevent this. Right now classes like the Warrior and Engineer are sitting ducks to thieves that can cast shadow refuge or elementalists that can cast mist form.

BG is comfortable with their lead. We want to see IoJ and SoR duke it out. Congrats to IoJ on their comeback. It’ll be an interesting final day!

We could use some more NA help on Blackgate. We have a very friendly community that never gives up and have a bunch of big guilds that communicate with each other on a mumble and website. We’re always looking for NA guilds as our Europeans and Oceanics are looking for us to step up, we just don’t have the numbers.

We’re always competitive and our guilds are always willing to help out with siege costs and upgrade costs as well as willing to place siege on the map. We’re a strong community looking to get stronger and retake our place in T1.

It also depends on what kind of server you’re looking for. We’re primarily WvW, and some of our guilds spend hours everyday in WvW trying to compete. In fact the other day we scheduled an all server attack, in which we made a 20k deficit into a 10k lead.

Here’s a serious guide to WvW.

- Always have supply when assaulting a tower.

- Server first, rewards for taking tower/keep/castle/camp 2nd.

- Communicate with your team if you’re a commander.

- If a zerg of 40+ takes a camp, tower, or keep, that’s roughly 1×40, 2×40, 7×40, or 10×40 in silver. Yes, if 40 people took SM, that’d produce 4 gold. Work as a group, and chip in on helping your server win.

- Defend your siege. It’s much more rewarding defending catapults instead of attacking the gate with your greatsword.

- Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

So last night some friends and i decided to do some jump puzzle ganking… (which was a blast). And we noticed a sad trend coming from the blackgate players. (not all of them mind you, but way more then there should be). As soon as they were downed they would log off. It happened at least 10x in 2hrs.
Now i know it sucks getting most of the way through the puzzle and then running into a enemy camp. But don’t panzy out and take away the rewards of those who deserve it. I have been killed more times that i can count in the jump puzzle….. Its pvp! Honestly, this is the first server I have seen since the game launched that does this consistently. And sadly “those” who do it make your server look really bad.
Here is hoping Anet makes it so you cant log out in combat. Nothing more frustrating in pvp then getting someone down, and not being able to finish the job.

If someone logs off while downed, they respawn dead and you should get a loot bag. I might be mistaken on the loot bag. However, I personally hate people that do the jumping puzzle, unless we’ve conquered all of EBG. It’s happened a few times, but there is nothing more annoying than losing a keep or tower and seeing “waa waa waa enemy server is ganking me”. It’s Blackgates noobs. Most of us even sacrifice ourselves for the good of the server.

On a side note, I hate to bring this up but I feel I should address it. If you see anymore Blackgate players using exploits or hacks, pm me asap. If I am on, I’ll drop what I’m doing (unless in a dungeon or just really busy) and go to the location of the exploits and film them, screenshot them, and report them and send all information to ArenaNet. Blackgate does not condone hacking. I want them out of this game I’ve waited so long for and love so much.

Here’s to hoping for more fun battles. I’m loving this matchup. SoR and IoJ are really fun to fight. I guess fighting 2v1 for 3 weeks really shows what you’re missing when you fight honest people. Much respect to you both.

Wow… i just lost all respect for IoJ and iCoa, arguably there main guild on the server, i hope a mod sees this video and punishes pretty much all the iCoa guild for supporting this kind of low tactic to win WvW.

Icoa is not the main guild on this server. There is no main guild. We are an alliance. Icoa is in that alliance, but mainly people just stick to their guilds. The rest of us will be having a talk.

The main guilds I know of in Blackgate are KnT, HB, EA, Urge, and LotD. These guys have never hacked or used cheap exploits or ever thought of using one.

As I said before, blaming the entire server is childish and just loses respect for you. I didn’t hack, nor was I even near that portal or even in that map at the time. Does that make me a hacker? What about those that have logged off for the night and weren’t there either?

A few of us came in to told them not to do it anymore. Sorry it happened. One guy doesn’t represent the server. I’m sure our server will be talking with those that abused this issue. Again we apologize this happened. A vast majority of Blackgate never discusses using hacks or exploits to win and fight with honor. Every server has their bad apples.

Just please remember that this is a small group in our server. A lot of us have been fighting here for awhile now with honor and playing fair.

Blackgate I hear you guys respect your pugs/militia and smaller guilds you guys have room for a pug that upgrades keeps, run supplies and drops sieges for everyone to use ?? I wouldn’t mind joining one of your guilds too as long as I get to smash SPQR guild I would be happy.

We actually believe PuGs are the most important people. A lot of our guilds do mainly guild runs, so we count on our PuGs to take other things while some of the guilds are making their own zerg. The guild I’m in does very little of that and often works with PuGs. We also try to do things to get our PuGs more into the flow, such as do small portal bombs just to get the server use to doing Portal bombs and knowing when to stack.

We’ve got public mumble and somewhat public website where all the guilds meet and everyone in Blackgate is welcome. The mumble has some public channels but most are private. You can gain access by talking to a mumble officer. Only rule is you must wear your guild tag before your name in mumble.

All of these blackgate are now guilty of cheating. This server apparently have no self respect taking advantage of these ports coming exploiting mesmers. Pathetic blackgate, pathetic.

All of us on Blackgate are accused of cheating? Yet, 90% of Blackgate wasn’t on when this incident happened when you have poor proof except for people saying they saw an Asura fly hacking.

A lot of people resort to accusing people of cheating when they cannot explain something. We’ve all done it before. I’m not denying or admiting to anything simply because I wasn’t there, but if you’re going to accuse every single person on a server of cheating you better have some kitten proof. Your picture shows nothing.

Hi folks. I have a thread about this in the guild recruitment section, but I feel it also fits here. I apologize in advance to the mods if this is inappropriate, but I do believe that this is best for dungeon people due to the lack of a LFG function.

I have created a guild that isn’t like a normal guild. It’s a “looking for group” finder.

It is called “Guild for Dungeons [LFG]”. ANYONE is welcome to join it, and everyone (besides me, since one has to be a leader) has the same rank, and everyone has invitation rights. Basically, anyone is welcome to the guild, and anyone is welcome to invite people.

The sole purpose of this guild is to make it easier to find a group for your favorite dungeons.

NOTE: There is already a guild for Fractals that is the same way, and in fact gave me the idea (since I hate FotM) for other dungeons so credit goes to whoever started that idea. This guild is for Fractals, not the one I have created. If you want to only do Fractals, join them. I am in the guild with invitation rights (As is everyone) so if you’d like FotM you can also send me mail.

How this guild works:

- You do NOT have to represent. You never do. The only time I’d recommend is if you’re looking for a party in the guild, or would like to change your status to “LFG” so that you stand out.

- Joining this guild means you are okay with people PMing you about dungeons.

- Everyone is the same rank. Everyone can invite anyone. The more people in the guild, the easier it is to find dungeon groups.

Essentially, the guild is used as a contact list for people that do dungeons so you can PM people that are online if they are interested.

Right now the guild is small, but has been shown interest quickly. Once I get more people to recruit people they’ve done dungeons with, the guild should quickly grow.

Again, although this is guild recruitment, I feel this is a temporary solution to the lack of finding a group options and is all about dungeons. This isn’t a typical guild, so I do apologize to mods if it doesn’t belong here.

Send me in game mail or PM me if you’d like to join. Please make sure you have not reached the limit of guilds you can join before sending me mail. I believe the max is 5.

I have another simple solution if people don’t want to use a third party site. I myself don’t like alt-tabbing to go searching for a party when I can do it all in game.

I have created a guild that right now has roughly 10-15 members of people that want to do dungeons. It’s a guild ANYONE can join (everyone can invite anyone) and everyone is the same rank with all abilities (except Guild Message for obvious reasons). You NEVER have to represent it except to talk in guild chat, and I obviously don’t care if you are not representing, it’s not that type of guild.

It’s basically an ingame dungeon finding tool. Being in the guild means that you don’t mind having others in the guild PM you for a dungeon.

Send me ingame mail if you are interested in joining. It’s a safe, in game way. Sorry if this appears to be hi-jacking, I just notice some people don’t use that site. I actually use it often.

So on Saturday, I’m on Blackgate BL, and we’re getting pushed hard. At one point we had the outmanned buff. So someone suggests in chat that a few of us go to Lion’s Arch to try to recruit some people. I was one of the few who went to recruit.

After spending about 15 minutes waiting on the overflow LA, I finally get to my server. Immediately upon entering I say in map chat, “All available people please report to WvW, we greatly need help.” Right away the flaming begins. A few minutes later I have a conversation with the leader of one of Blackgate’s largest Aussie guilds. He informs me that they are essentially boycotting WvW until Anet does something to address the lack of rewards for participation. I spoke to the leader of another guild who said basically the same thing and added that the culling issues and disappearing siege are really ruining the experience for a lot of the players in his guild, so they wont be playing until it gets fixed. These are two guilds that regularly participated in WvW and did quite well, and now they refuse to play.

My friend list used to list a bunch of people doing WvW. Now it lists a bunch of people running fractals. As someone who only does pvp/wvw, I find this all to be very sad. C’mon Blackgate, step it up. Follow the good commanders, ignore the terrible ones, and if no commander is on, DEFEND DEFEND DEFEND.

Have you been on in the past 10 minutes, or did you just randomly post? We’re at +330 at our weakest time in the day.

I don’t know, I really like the server rallying. Take Sea of Sorrows for instance. Freshly Tier 1. Every server is feeling the Thanksgiving/new content crunch right now but they did remarkably well. Now everyone on SBI is going to smash into them next week and reclaim our rightful place as Number 1. And Sea of Sorrows will have to work harder to keep their position. You could tell just by their tenacity that they wanted to be there and earned that position. That is lessened by “bandwagoners” I could only imagine how much worse that would be.

Destruction of server pride would be lame. A pop cap increase would be nice I guess but all in all I really oppose the Spvp concept in WvW. It isn’t a bad system but one I just don’t think would work well with what we currently have.

On a slightly off topic note: I think multi cultural server team work is also amazing. SBI has a strong Korean population and despite minor clashes and language barriers I think the concept is amazing. That is also how SoS secured their position, by having strong oceanic times. It would be a little unfair to mix that up on them. We don’t speak Korean a lot of them don’t speak English but the coordination is cool because people like Cloned who speak both languages.

Imagine being stuck with a bunch of Koreans who you can’t communicate to or understand? Just imagine them being stuck with us who they can’t understand. Organization I think might be a little rough. Right now its near perfect.

Typical SBI talking smack in a thread not even related to tier 1. The only reason SBI is “number 1” is because of how stacked it is and how they can fill the entire WvW 24/7. You have a korean guild called WM that is full that plays around the clock and doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving. Your excuses are pathetic. Give credit where credit is due. SoS won. If you want to use more excuses, they got tons of bandwagoners themselves. Blackgate lost a fairly large guild because they were bandwagoners.

Moving on, this idea seems like it’d create more problems than solutions. The real solution would be to remove all the borderlands and just make 2 WvW maps that are like EBG.

As a commander there really is no class discrimination for me. It’s more based on level.

A clothie with a green up arrow is as good as dead.

Any green arrow after that is a goner.

After that, it’s who looks like they aren’t in exotics.

But, before that, it’s whoever is dealing the most damage.

As far as classes I enjoy killing… probably warriors. Far too many of them in this game.

We have started the guild! Guild for Dungeons[LFG]. Everyone that joins can invite anyone and are encouraged to do so. Let’s get a lot of people so we can make finding groups easier.

So, there is currently a guild out there for FotM players to find a party. Anyone can invite anyone, no one needs to represent unless they want to, and anyone from any server can join it. I feel like this is a great idea, but should expand to other dungeons as well for those that are interested in doing other dungeons. So, I’m looking to start one. If you are interested, please PM me in game.

Remember, ANYONE can join, and you do NOT need to represent. This is simply to add in a dungeon finder until ArenaNet makes one. Ranks mean nothing, representing means nothing, and is simply a way for players to find parties together rather than spending awhile looking.

If there is another guild like this, please let me know since I’d be interested in joining.

I’m getting CoD BO2 tomorrow, but that won’t stop me from playing WvW. It’s also possible that people are burnt out. No rewards, and we’re all top tiered servers so we play a lot of WvW. I myself just need a break from it every once in awhile.

This dungeon has one major flaw in it, and that it seperates the gaming community due to a NUMBER.

Right now, you can only do FoTM based on what the difficulty score is of the person who has the lowest difficulty unlocked. This is ridiculously bad. Why? Because it makes it based on a NUMBER rather than a group.

I myself have run dungeons numerous times. My first time in Fracts was with 3 people that were clueless and just plain stupid. I’m not an elitist, but these guys were seriously bad.

I stuck with them, and we completed 2 paths and it took over an hour. We all know that’s bad. I eventually gave up when we reached the swamp, and they couldn’t figure it out despite me telling them what to do. So I left. By that time, I’ve never been able to get a group for lvl 1 FotM. People don’t want to waste their time. There is no reward for them to do FotM. Just like how in other games, there is no reward for people to go back and help random people.

I’ve got a guild, but it’s a WvW guild, since that’s what I primarily play until new REAL PvE content is released. A handful of them do FotM, but they don’t want to have to carry me all the way through the difficulties so I can “repay the favor” and play with them at their lvl.

I spent 5 years waiting for this game when it was announced. I spent that time reading about the gameplan, reading about what everything has to happen. ArenaNet mentioned numerous times how you can play with your friends and don’t need to backtrack. But then they go and release this dungeon.

I have no problems with the dungeon, except the restriction to enter.

Either add a matchmaking system so that multiple people looking for a group can be grouped up without spamming in Lion’s Arch, or make it so that the person with the highest level can invite everyone to join them. To balance it, make it so the people that complete it don’t advance to that level.

Right now people are GRINDING the dungeon, another thing against ArenaNet’s philosophy.

Please change this immediately, preferably before the month is over so I can complete my monthly.

What I do not get is they they had told us via Twitter and Facebook when Maintenance was scheduled the few weeks after launch. Why can’t they now?

About IoJ vs Blackgate “hate”. We still, but rarely, see a person talking smack about Blackgate. We even saw one on Friday before the server reset on these forums talking smack. When it was IoJ vs SBI, both IoJ and BG had hardly anything, but IoJ was camping our spawn, defending SBI’s keep which was originally ours.

We at Blackgate know one to two people don’t determine an entire servers attitude, but taking something big from that server makes that one person feel like the jerk they are.

I will also say that we at Blackgate never double team. In fact, our original idea (before a lot gave up and wanted to go back to T2) was to take out JQ and be fine with 2nd as long as JQ gets out of T1. Hopefully SoS has better luck, because all JQ and SBI did was double team for 3 weeks straight.

We attack and defend what we want ultimately. And as I said, its a bit hard to try to attack both enemies when your population is limited. We were just about even in numbers with SoR, that understandably wanted their stuff back. But we had no intentions of giving it back.

Depends on what you’re looking for. Blackgate’s weakest time isn’t always NA pacific, but we for sure could use some borderland help around the clock. Blackgate has a great community (seriously, I think I’m the biggest jackkitten there and everyone thinks I’m the nicest guy they’ve met in real life). We’re a mature community and work well together. We recently had a guild leave to SoS because they only cared about winning. Blackgate cares about winning for Blackgate and improving as a community.

SoR seems like nice folk as well. They fight well and I haven’t heard anything bad about them. They’re currently against us, but they’ve put up some fun battles.

Overall, I think those two would be your best bet. They’re in T2, but currently aren’t T1 material.

I wouldn’t join JQ however. Not to be trolling, but from what I’ve seen they kind of cower in T1. They seem to like making excuses and even tried to team up with SBI. You’d just be another bandwagon guild in the rest of Guild Wars 2’s communities eyes if you joined them.

Shout-out to SoR and IoJ for actually playing the game like good sports. SBI and JQ only double teamed us the entire time the last few weeks. They denied it but it really shows. We’re not having to run back and forth every time and log in and see only our stuff taken every morning. It’s been a lot of fun to have WvW back rather than it being a Track and Field. Although I feel bad for SoR. We started pushing on them in EBG and we saw red was taking the other side. Due to our low population atm, we couldn’t have two zergs to attack both servers, so we kept our focus on keeping Langors and Quinten.

Shout-out to the fellow Beastgate players that stuck with the strategy. Normally people are interested in only attacking, and I didn’t even think we’d have a chance to keep Quin for long, but we even took Langors. Great work guys.

Once again though, it’s a shame we can’t get a strong consistent borderland crew. IoJ is currently dominating the PPT due to them owning nearly 2 BLs and all Bravost/Umber and their areas.

Had a lot of fun battles. Shame we couldn’t take IoJ keep but I guess when you take all of blue’s territory I guess you should expect them to retaliate. Plus that thing was fully fortified, we only had 20ish people, and it was full of supply. We were not. Got really close but it’s always a shame seeing a gate spike from 5% to 30% in mere seconds.

I feel bad for SoS. Really, we in Blackgate stopped giving a darn and went to WvW only to lvl our alts in the past 2 weeks.

Seriously, that is all T1 is. I pray that SoS wins this upcoming week. I pray you kick the crap out of at least JQ so they leave T1 and Blackgate can go where it belongs and it’ll actually be a 3 way fight.

Best of luck to SoS, and congratulations on your achievement. But be prepared to be annoyed, especially by all the kids that talk trash on these forums when they aren’t the ones doing anything in game.

I only go to WvW for experience on my alts if I go in there with them and PvE got too boring. There seriously is no reason besides that to play WvW since you won’t get kills.

Blackgate has some great guilds, but one of the guilds that helped make it quit the game because it was too casual (pre-patch). The others simply are experiencing the queues.

It’s okay, because since WM can be 24/7 around the clock and JQ decides they can’t win but don’t want to be kicked out of T1 they’ve decided to double team Blackgate.

All the bandwagons that went to Blackgate when they saw us absolutely DESTROYING ET and HoD already left to SBI or JQ. We’ve seen some of our former, weaker guilds with red names these past 3 weeks.

I agree that bandwagoners are just lame, but… in a sense, you sometimes need it.

Blackgate wasn’t T1 before the transfers of guilds like Thai and HB because we simply didn’t have around the clock coverage. With RQ quitting and Urge experiencing the issue they had that I won’t get into because it’s no ones business, we suffered time slot issues.

So, at the start of the week we’d be right there with the other teams, or in the lead. Then reality hits us in which we can’t be on GW2 and then we lose a lot of points and next time we log in it’s an up hill climb. Hardly ever do the original Blackgate guilds lose points when they’re on and playing together. It wasn’t bandwagoners that put us in T1. It’s the guilds that know how to WvW that had time slot issues on their original servers.

On a side note, IoJ and Blackgate are fighting this week. If you want to start talking trash, meet us on the Battlefield in 40 minutes.

People that cry about turtling are just bad players. Unfortunately ArenaNet gave into it. You know how many times I’ve seen turtles “crack” when it was basically a guild in my server that introduced it?

This is just bad. Limit it to 10, but 5 can’t do anything. Great, just spent the last 3 weeks leveling a support Guardian. Guess the game’s all about DPS now. At least my main is a thief. I stayed away from full berserkers, guess I might start doing those 15k crits for easy kills since strategy is completely out the window.

Not to mention the less health for downed players only hurts the people with less population.

Just leave WvW alone. People are ALWAYS going to cry about tactics that kill them. ArenaNet needs to STOP giving in to complaining casual players. A fairly large guild in Blackgate has QUIT because this game was too casual. I don’t want to see this game fail but patches that essentially make certain players USELESS in WvW are gone.

Now those top elite guilds are just going to require everyone to roll mesmer, guardian and Warrior to get maximum efficient healing, and then healing is just going to be flat out removed from the game at the direction this is going

Guardian is pretty easy but boring and slow. They’re best used as a defensive character, so leveling one was a PAIN IN THE BUTT.

Thief is somewhat easy, but not in the personal story if going solo. Ranger is pretty easy.
