I really really really wish people would stop calling Thieves “Rogues”. We aren’t Rogues and this isn’t Warcrap.
Other than that, all I suggest is get the upgrade that has escorts for the Dolyaks. The scout is able to cast about a 5 second AoE blind and the guard can immobolize the thief. Upgrades are meant to be bought.
Ah, these type of threads are laughable. First off, we’re not a T1 server, and probably aren’t even ready for tier 1 to be completely honest.
What happened this week is that HoD and ET are servers that lost a lot of guilds. Some came to Blackgate (their choice), yes, but they simply fill up server during the night in which we had almost no one to help us previously. But this week doesn’t show Blackgate’s strength, it shows how much HoD and ET have died. When the servers switched, both servers had the Outmanned buff.
I’m an active PvPer. I play around peak hours 5-10pm. On Wednesday and Thursdays, I have off, so I’m on sometime around 5pm to 10am. The only time I ever run into WvW being full is around 5pm SOMETIMES, or 5pm on Fridays due to the servers switching and everyone wanting to knock people out early to prevent upgrades and so forth.
Blackgate is fine. If you really have a problem, you’re welcome to leave, but please don’t act like you’re forced out. From my experiences, there is always time to play in World vs World on Blackgate.
We weren’t “losing” we were just getting nightcapped. Guilds found blackgate that can cap in the night. Simple as that.
Change commander icon to 10,000 badges
Lopez you need to leave the server. For those saying we have bandwagoners are a joke. Most of the Guilds have been in Blackgate the entire time. I’m in KnT, one of the major WvW guilds, and there’s only around 20 of us on mumble, and it’s always the same 20. There are then other guilds that we almost never hear from (or at least from what I know) in their own channels.
The fact of the matter is we work well together. If you think that’s a lame tactic…you’re insane. How is it a lame tactic to cordinate well together? We’re suppose to just zerg up and sit in front of gate for hours? Laughable. We started planning our tactics for the server switch nearly a week ago when we beat FA and TC in 12 hours and preparing for this matchup. Problem is, we got two servers that had the outmanned buff. It had nothing to do with Oceanic servers switching, Blackgate has always had a full queue when the servers switch. We’re a WvW server.
If you think we just steamroll everyone you’re wrong. Where were you when we faced Dragonbrand and had to have a day designated for WvW to beat them? Where were you the week after that in which we got double teamed by IoJ and SBI? Oh, you probably weren’t there because you’re likely a bandwagoner.
We’re likely a T1 server at this point, and in a week, we’ll be there competing with SBI and JQ. We never asked for help, people were interested in our server because we made noise for being high skilled players.
^ Post like these are all just QQ. I could say the exact same about TC. Every server knows noobs join when they win and advance up. Blackgate has jumped up quickly and we have gotten noobs.
I got over 100 badges the other night because TC kept trying to take a SUPPLY CAMP while BADLY outnumbering us. Granted, I’m in KnT, which is one of the “high quality guilds”, but I was on when 3 other members were on and actually coordinating with us, and one wasn’t even KnT.
There are bad players on every server. But we didn’t win because we outnumbered. We won because we were better. The match was won in the first 12 hours of the week when there were heavy numbers on both sides.
I was in for a while on Weds night and our commanders were making every effort to concentrate on BG and not mess with FA. (As much as you can with zerglings in play, anyway. There’s no controlling some people.)
We pressed them hard enough on the bay keep and their supply camps that they actually had to let you guys out to play, and five minutes later we started hearing “FA at the garrison water gate”.
I mean…really? No supply lines, no control over any territory in between your spawn and there, we’re pressing the guys who are keeping you bottled up, and you’re poking us at the garrison? I know it wasn’t deliberate, but you were great allies for BG.
You guys talk like we haven’t dealt with FA either. People are going to attack what they think they can take. Just a few hours ago, FA took our entire BL and had 2 of the orbs. Needless to say, when we were done farming EBG we went back and took it all.
I’m IOJ and I hope we do well but realisticly we have little experience fighting T1 servers and logic would indicate us not doing so great. I’m going to be there friday but out of town all weekend so I feel kinda bad I wont be there to help out my server. Good luck to all.
What? You guys fought SBI last week. Oh wait… nvm…. IoJ only attacked Blackgate and worked with SBI.
It’ll be an interesting matchup to watch. I hope IoJ loses so we can face them in T2 next week.
Yah, BG camping our spawn point. Keep it classy, BG.
EDIT: Nyari, you make me laugh so much. “The Queen of Quentin Lake does not give up her Royal Residence so easily!” >:D
There is no spawn camping.
Might as well…

Guess uh…. guess you guys didn’t hold up Langors so well did ya…
We held off Langlor for 6 hours last night vs about 60 Blackgate players, I stayed up till 5 AM with several people defending it, we held off Giant Omega Golems, waves of zergs with 3 orbs, and many other players.
We were outmanned 6 to 1 and out buffed, and still held our fortress, I got so tired though I had to log out.
Wake up this morning, its all gone
…
Earned about 23 badges, which is really good.
- Talathion, that one thief with the wolf mask.
I was there. The problem last night was lack of communication. Trying to encourage a buddy of mine to get his commander tome (he can afford it) because he leads well. If he had the icon, we would have taken Langor quickly. The problem was people built those golems (There was one Omega, and the pilot was dumb, and one Alpha that ran in after instead of together). We then built trebs in Danelon. A small TC zerg decided to go up North and take points we didn’t care about (we already won the week, so we’re more focused on taking a dang tower). Our zerg paniced over easy-to-take tier 1 towers and left Danelon, and you guys finally took that camp and our siege.
Can’t lie though, it was fun and very rewarding. Blueprints are easy to get for free and I got nearly 150 badges and 3g from farming TC players with their constant waves.
I will say though, TC has my upmost respect. I started on that server, and near launch you guys were absolutely terrible at WvW. It was good to see you guys pick it up and be a fun opponent.
I love this game. Played so many hours already and plan on playing a lot more. It’s got tons of room for improvement and is already the most improved game of it’s genre in my opinion from it’s competitors.
I do have some suggestions, but most of them aren’t what ArenaNet is doing wrong, but what they can add to improve the game. The only thing they’re doing wrong is giving 3 day forum bans if you “Don’t post in a respectful tone” (yet you can’t tell someones tone from text. You have no idea what my emotion is while writing this). That could change, but as far as the game is, I’ve never rage quitted and was like “ARENANET CHANGE THIS NOW!”
Although I’d like to see what they’re actually planning… isn’t it obvious as it is?
4 Dragons left
Elona and Cantha left
Tengu are obviously going to be playable soon
Primordus is very likely going to be the next Dragon we face due to the Tengu having issues with him.
The only thing I really wonder is if it’s going to be a linear story, or if the personal story changes midway instead of going straight for Zhaitan… or if the Risen will all be wiped out and Destroyers are everywhere…
Game lacks content? It’s all the same? I’ll agree with the folks saying the game isn’t for you.
WvW is great, and if you’re wondering if one person can make a difference and it’s all about numbers and who is willing to buy siege, you are OBVIOUSLY playing it wrong, especially if you have a group of players that you WvW with. I have a Guild of 200+ members (about 10-15 of us are actually on Mumble working together) and every single time we enter WvW it is always a different story. There are commander tomes for a reason, the people that get them can make a difference (unfortunately the way to get them is really bad an ArenaNet needs to change it ASAP). Heck, even without that Tome, I’ve stood up and given commands on my level 20 ranger that couldn’t even dream of winning a 1v1 against a lvl 80, and people obeyed, and due to me stepping up and leading WITHOUT BEING A COMMANDER, I’ve made a difference.
If you’ve farmed the dungeons and can get the gear for two characters you haven’t played 70 hours. Right there is a lie.
This honestly seems to me like someone that rushed the game and is QQing because they can play faster than a company can develop a newly released game to keep the player based happy. Log off for a few seconds of the day and you won’t be making silly threads like these. Or, perhaps play the game correctly, because by reading your post I can see that you aren’t.
I have about 350 hours of gameplay. I’ve got a laundry list of things I want to do ingame, and every time I’m ingame something new arises that I’d love to do.
A youtuber named Enigma made a great video. It showed everything you can do (to level, but then again, about everything in this game helps you level). He basically said “well if you don’t like this, you can do this, but if you don’t want to do both, or any of it all, you have to question yourself why you’re even playing the game”. This game doesn’t lack endgame content, it’s just that most players lack lives. It has nearly as much to do as WoW does, it’s just that WoW adds cooldowns and timers on their dungeons so you CAN’T DO THEM (thus, no content available until CD is done). This is how their game has longevity. They restrict players from content. Guild Wars 2 doesn’t do that, so all the elitists rushed the game. If ArenaNet did what Blizzard did, legendary weapons would take over a year to obtain for elitists, and you’d only play to do your daily or weekly raid. So, you have to sit down and think, what are you willing to do in the game that you might find fun. If you find nothing, then question yourself, why are you still playing the game?
In my opinion all the helmets in this game look terrible. Absolutely terrible. I have yet to see a helm in this game that makes me go “I want that”. Armors look great, but ArenaNet has NEVER been good at designing helmets for their characters. I don’t get how in the world the Flame Legion medium helm fits the armor. It just looks ridiculously bad. Whenever I see someone wearing that I facepalm and wonder why they’d ruin their characters looks.
But I have full flame on my thief. It looks fantastic. I just don’t show the helm, because it looks really bad, especially on a Charr.
Tarnished Coast looking for a few more for our late night crew!
in Guilds

Ugh… I read that he said he thought he’d be high in the standings if he got a night crew….
Doubt that. Blackgate finished this week in about 12 hrs…. just saying.
But I do think TC will be a good opponent if they get more players. I kept telling our commanders before the matchup to not take Stonemist at the start since it flips about 5 times the first few hours. They did that because our main commander (who wasn’t playing) said to…. sigh. You guys played smart by taking out all our supply and fortifying your main area on EB.
It was actually hilarious. We were using your SMC as a distraction, but we ended up taking it…. after that, the match was over. We did however get a good night crew from another server. If we only had that last week….

In CoF path 2 there are magma elementals and it says something “Liquid Hot MAGMA”. When I read that, I instantly thought of Dr. Evil.
This is a Guild Wars 2 forum, not a WoW forum. You have been mistaken.
Seriously, which game doesn’t have intense Forum wars?
I respect your opinion, I just don’t agree with any of them.
Raids didn’t require teamwork it required classes. Although some elements of GW2 has that currently do to some of the “solutions” to stop players from cheating through dungeons (blame those players, not ArenaNet), I can do a lot of dungeons with just everyone as one class. Dungeons do require teamwork. Not sure which you’ve been doing, but I play dungeons a lot and see lots of teamwork involved. When there isn’t any communication, we normally wipe.
This “You can just continue to run back” BS really needs to stop. A vast majority of the waypoints aren’t even near a boss. If a group wipes, the boss resets. All it really takes is one person to stay alive to keep the boss going, but you still get that wipe feeling if you can’t take down a boss and get killed. There are hardly any elements to the game in which you can just continue to run back in dungeons.
Guild Wars 1 was also about cosmetics. I’ve said this a bunch of time but GW2 isn’t a gearscore game (that ruined WoW) nor is it a leveling game. Guild Wars 2 is about the journey and about balanced attack. If people want unique sets by doing dungeons, then that is fine. I also know the best farming methods currently in the game (as do a lot), and it actually is about equal. You can get a full set from a dungeon in a day, it’s just that the update which lowered the “badge” reward for doing a dungeon twice a day discourages players from constantly running it. Get a good guild or party, and you can easily get a full set in 2 days.
The only thing I even come close to agreeing with you is that things like the “grub” should be taken out of WvW. There isn’t much of a need. But the NPCs and what not work. It’s just these champions that drag teams away. But, organized guilds can take out an entire zerg. I know, I’ve done it multiple times.
Night capping is something that happens because the game is online for 24 hours. Do you seriously expect ArenaNet to take out a major piece of content for those that can only play at night? I work graveyard on the pacific coast. Am I not allowed to play WvW on my weekend because your server doesn’t have as many players? We still haven’t gone to 2 week long battles in WvW. Balancing is still happening. People are still trying to find a world for themselves. Once it’s balanced, this “night capping” issue will be fixed. But it’s not a “oh my bad” by ArenaNet. I’d be kitten if I couldn’t WvW because you guys cry about me having a different playing schedule.
People that complain about PvE ruined the game for themselves. The PvE element works and there is a sense of endgame. The only problem is fools rushed the game. Some people got to 80 before the game officially launched. Some got to 80 in the BWE in which the highest level zone was 25-35. People rushed the game and ruined it for themselves, or rushed to get a stupid title for doing 100% completion.
Sorry you didn’t like it, but ArenaNet shouldn’t change anything to what you suggested. Oh, the worst part is you actually think Blizzard communicates to their community. I lol’d when I read that. I’ve been waiting for this game for 5 years, and even tried WoW during that course. It was god awful and a terrible game design. Was literally meant for people with no lives that only play games for kitten or progression. I tried D3 as well, which was full of problems. Never heard a word from Blizzard. Meanwhile, ArenaNet communicated with us daily (and still does) during the process of release to launch. Sure, that communication has become a bit more quiet, but that is likely because they’re done showcasing their game and are working on improvements. We still have 2 more continents to go after the next 4 Elder Dragons are released. Lots of room.
Have fun with your WoW or whatever game you were going to play. But don’t tell them to change their game when you’ve already decided to leave it. It’s fine the way it is.
Ranger is boring
Thief is overpowered
Elementalist is challenging but very exciting
I’d say pick an elementalist. They’re always welcomed and needed for anything.
Are they able to hold up 1v1? Any class is, as long as it’s played correctly and you’re better than the enemy.
Are they good in massive battles? Duh
Dagger/Dagger for elementalist is extremely fun. If you can hop out of attunements you can kill quickly while keeping them CC’d and with conditions. The only counterpart is the elementalist lacks defenses and is extremely squishy. Get in touch with your downed state if you pick that.
Ranger for me is just flatout boring. Nothing really fun for utilities, not a great class for 1v1, and very easy in PvE. Not much more fun in WvW. Their elites are terrible (depending on race), but entangle is really nice for WvW, and longbows are good in WvW.
You can turn whispers off and I am in a guild with lots of commanders, they just aren’t on all the time that I am, so I’m stuck following others.
I’m sick of following some rich guy around thinking he knows how to run a zerg. Yeah, I could go and do my own thing, but 90% of the server during the times I play are with this guy while the others are scattered alone as well. Problem is, the 90% that follow him are clueless and love to run up to gates that have a bunch of defenses.
What irks me more than that is Guild Leaders that get the commander tag fed to them and only communicate with their guild and not to half the people following them wondering why we’re sitting in the middle of the map where nothing is.
We need a way to mutiny commanders, or there needs to be some sort of voting that goes along before someone can become a commander. There are some talented commanders, but there are also a bunch of morons getting this tag and isolating everyone not in their guild.
Make it cost 10,000 BoH or something, not Gold. PvErs always complain about having to go into WvW to get that 100% map completion (despite it not being a PvE title), we’d like these PvErs that farm Orr and/or Dungeons all day out of our WvW battles please, especially if they can pay to become a “leader”.
I know this would all be fixed if people weren’t stupid and followed the commander, but it doesn’t. A lot of the commanders I know fear walking by any keep they don’t want to attack because they’ll lose half their zerg.
I made roughly 2-3 gold in an hour at Orr. I never once had to use a waypoint, never once had to pay for repairs, and only sold on the TP. Making money isn’t hard, you all just expect to get legendaries by moving everywhere.
I give this troll attempt 10/10.
Bwillb, who at ArenaNet said the World completion was a PvE title? WvW is part of the world. Like it or not, you have to explore it to get the achievement. It’s not PvE or PvP based.
What they need telephones?
Skimmed through that and got to this.
“Somewhat this game feels rushed at certain point”
And I thought… hmmm… I’m going to grab a calculator.
In 47 days, there are 1,128 hours. You’ve played 616 hours.
1,128-616 = 512.
You’ve spent 512 hours off of Guild Wars 2 since it’s launched.
When I’m not sleeping or working, I’m playing Guild Wars 2. I have roughly 320 hours. I feel I play too much.
Now, I’m sure you have good opinions and all that good stuff, but I have to ask. Where it God’s name do you think you have the right to complain about the game feeling a bit rushed when you RUSHED THE GAME YOURSELF BY PLAYING FOR NEARLY 70% OF THE TIME THE GAME HAS BEEN RELEASED. I honestly don’t even see why you’d bother telling us your time played. It’s not like the amount of time in game makes it so you’re opinion is better than anyone elses, or that it’s significant proof. I’ve spent most my time in WvW and you won’t see me talking about how terrible of a place Orr is (if it even is).
I’d think “woah MMOs are amazing!”
I’d then try other games…. and be sadly disappointed.
This game is far superior to any MMO on the market. I don’t even think it should be called an MMO, but instead an MAMO. Massive amazing multiplayer online RPG.
I have noticed that about 90% of the commanders I see in WvW are warriors… I’ve also noticed that about 45% of those commanders I shouldn’t follow and have encouraged me to get my own tag because I know to at least not lead a zerg into a much bigger zerg.
Maybe Frostgorge Sound? There is a gorge that separates Oregon and Washington and the Puget sound is there.
It’s really all about progression. I hate leveling to the point where it’s “aww I just want to be max lvl on this toon I don’t want to spend countless hours playing it”, but it’s for progression. Even when downleveled you still have that reward for being 80. Being 80 in WvW gives you an extreme advantage (well, nowadays its an extreme disadvantage if you aren’t 80) and you have your traits to use.
The most common complaint I heard about GW1 after playing for 5 years was “omg only 20 lvls!?!”. It was never about being instance based or any of the other “problems” with Guild Wars. It was the level 20 cap. It’s fine at 80. It WILL NOT be raised anymore in future expansions. That’s what’s great about the downlevel. They can release more lowbie zones and you can play them at level 80 and still participate without horribly ruining events.
I’m a WvW player and I want them removed from WvW (PvE content that is). We always get morons on our server DEMANDING that our entire server goes and help them defend them in the jumping puzzle. The sad part is, some people do. These are merely distractions to get the needed idiots to ruin a zerg.
Screen has red “blood” on it, your character says something, and you hear a heartbeat with a breezy gust of wind sound. I really don’t see what else they could add besides a pop-up that says “OMGZ ABOUT TO DIE!!” on the middle of the screen.
During my adventures on my first toon, I made sure I did Tequatl and Shatterer after seeing them for ages and wanting to do them pre-launch. I did them, loved them, and all that good stuff.
I then found the Claw of Jormag, and did that event. That event made the other 2 dragons boring as hell, despite them being great events to the game.
So, as a suggestion, please make more Dragon battles be like the Claw, rather than the other 2 that are just tank and spanks. Claw has the debuffs, the push backs, the stages, and so forth. This made him great. Shatterer literally just sits there. Oh, and also please make a dragon that can wipe an entire 40 person zerg. None can do that yet. Make it so a new dragon that you release has a breath or something that adds a debuff that does like 1000 a second and continues after going downed so that players can’t just sit there and tank the dragon and just sitting there at their feet and running back when feared by the breath. Something like that, so that all players must use skill to down the dragon so it actually feels like a huge accomplishment. Heck, make it an Elder Dragon. I’m going to break my skull on my desk if you continue this trend of having the Elder Dragons be a kitten instance boss. Or at least have an open world fight where the dragon then flees into the dungeon making it accessible.
While I’m at it, one quick favor that’d be awesome. When you slay an enemy, please add a buff that lets you rally instantly if you get downed after 5 seconds of slaying that enemy. It should not be safer to let an enemy low on life live if you’re about to go down.
I think it’s more along the lines that it seems much slower to be grouped because unless you know the person well and are communicating in person or on mumble (or whatever) people generally just roam around. It kind of feels like being on a leash, like if you don’t want to do what your party mate does, you kind of feel forced to or have this sense of awkwardness.
I talk to people that try to talk to me, but generally I don’t start conversations. There are still a lot of foul mouthed morons in this game that’d rather troll than make a new friend. As someone that waited the entire length of time for GW2 and spent a lot of time on forums talking about the game, I noticed a decline in the maturity and kindness of the community the closer the game was to releasing. Hopefully these people cut it out and/or leave soon.
But in general, for me, I like to do what I want to do, and with my busy schedule, don’t like to waste time standing near someone that types slow waiting to see what they wanted to do. I like to roam around, and if others follow, that’s fine.
The main problem I have is the people that think this is Left 4 Dead and need to live by that name. I can’t stand it when I help someone up in the middle of a champion fight and no one picks me up and I get killed.
I can safely say the game still piques my interest, however, there have been a lot of changes that I just find unnecessary. Such as Oct, 7th’s patch. Some of the changes are “OK” at best, but everything else that I’ve read in the patch feels like complete, and utter garbage. It’s hard to believe ArenaNet is taking anything seriously here, and it feels as if they themselves don’t even bother asking the community what people like, and people dislike about classes.
This is a perfect example of why you probably named your account what it is.
The stupidest thing someone can do is read patch notes, see that something isn’t fixed, and assume that it’s not being worked on. A lot of “problems” with this game are still being worked on and the solution simply isn’t ready, a main one being the bot problem. It’s also funny when people think they know the solution and that there are no consequences to it.
As for ArenaNet not asking…. They’re the most active gaming company out there at the moment. You never hear anything from other gaming companies while playing the game. People also automatically assume that because they don’t reply it means they don’t read. In fact, a lot of the employees whose job is to read these probably don’t have the authority or knowledge to answer a question or complaint or suggestion on the spot. They pass it along to the developers. They also asked us a ton during the betas and communicated with the community a lot during that time.
I didn’t bother to read the rest since, well, honestly I was humored by this post because so many people are like that and it’s quite annoying honestly.
As for how interested I am in the game… I’m loving every second of it and bug the heck out of my buddy for him to log in and join me. The game’s great, and better than I expected.
I have 2 80’s and one at 58.
My 2 80’s had more than enough, and my 58 has more than enough for when he reaches 60.
You’re either warping too much, or buying too much, or not selling anything.
LOOT everything you can. There are merchants everywhere and in higher areas the “junk” is worth more. Also do events when you can. The karma and gold will be worth a lot to you when you hit 80.
As a lvl 60 I’d suggest going to Sparkfly Fen. There are events all the time there and generally a high population since it’s great for leveling and making money at that level. It also has Tequatl and a krait event that spawns like every 5 minutes that lasts awhile (but it’s 65, but a 60 should be able to get gold easily). If you’re tagging everything and getting xp, you’re also getting loot. The loot can be worth a lot, and there should be a lot since the event is like 8 minutes long.
Sell all that to a merchant, or sell the rares if you get them on the TP (never sell to the lowest buyer, that’s a person that’s going to sell it for more later on).
You should have the money in no time.
I disagree about WvW being a waste of money. You need to stop playing solo, or watch the battle carefully. I hardly die in WvW, even when we lose a keep/tower or our zerg gets outnumbered. You have to play smart. The only time I die is when an OP thief that badly needs a nerf kills me with 4 backstabs in about 3 seconds and stomps in stealth (all which need nerfs asap. My main is a thief, I’m not just a QQer, it is MUCH easier to play than all the other classes, which I also play).
I agree. Games got full servers or at least high population. The fact is a lot of people don’t realize that players have dedicated servers to something else. I’ve played on 3 servers. TC, YB, and BG (Tarnished Coast, Yak’s Bend, and now Blackgate). TC was generally role players that are more “casual”. Yak’s Bend was generally focused on just about everything. They weren’t a great WvW squad, but put up a good fight, and generally their zones in PvE had a good population in them to do events. BG has constantly full queue in WvW (and is generally really good at it) but I’ve noticed myself playing solo more in PvE.
Talk to other players on different servers. We’ve had tons of guilds from other servers interested in WvW join our mumble and ask about Blackgate. I’m sure there are servers dedicated to dungeon running, Orr runs, WvW, SPvP, and everything else in the game.
It’s not dying. Tyria is a unique land and GW2 is a unique game. I never see any complaints outside of the rare complaints on these forums. And as you said, they’re nothing but trolls, and that is generally the case.
There were many that doubted Azeroth, and still do.
A better question is has Guild Wars 2 been worth….
The 300 hours I’ve spent on it so far
The 5 years waiting for it
The grind I did in GW1 for the HoM well after I completed the game before the HoM came out.
The countless arguments I got into based on a possible release date
The $1000 I spent on a new computer to run Guild Wars 2 with no FPS issues
The $60 I spent on the original game
The $40 I spent on gas to go to PAX Prime last year just to play 40 minutes of Guild Wars 2
Not to mention the 3 hours I stood in line, with very little sleep.
The $50 I spent on gems.
The answer…..
Totally worth it
Someone doesn’t like personal story….
I don’t get why some of the obvious bots haven’t been banned yet.
Hell no. It’s in WvW for a reason. How about you PvE people get the hell out of WvW so that players that want to participate in WvW can actually do so instead of sitting in queue because you want to QQ in chat that someone killed you on a jumping puzzle in a PvP zone.
I know it’s not a HUGE deal, but it’d be really nice if we can continue to keep our head piece hidden if we choose to keep it hidden ingame but on the character select screen as well.
I spend a lot of time custimizing my character and the thing I spend the most time deciding on is the hair and face (obviously). However, it’s a pain in the butt in the character select screen seeing our beautiful characters covered by some ugly helm despite us hiding it in-game.
I like to admire my characters sometime in character select when I’m not entirely sure which one I’m going to play, and the headpiece can really ruin it.
Something that's been bugging me about Minipets since they were first introduced in GW1.

I wouldn’t mind like a permanent +10 experience per kill buff when you have one out like when you eat food. This wouldn’t take away from cooking since it’d only give the +10. It’d give me more of a reason to have one out. It’d also be a lot better if they didn’t show up on the minimap.
Simple. If there is a commander, that person that chooses to wear the icon should have it also appear before their name in chat so that people know the commander is talking.
We know you all quit WoW. Stop trying to make our game like yours. There is no need for mounts at all, and would ruin WvW. I highly suggest ArenaNet starts instantly locking every topic about mounts.
A lot of people are saying things that are known to be in development or already exist (to the person saying drawing crap on the map, just hold shift.). You also need to become a commander to get warbands. Pool your best leader so s/he’ll become a commander and he can make squads.
I’d personally like to see some more easter eggs about the player character in Guild Wars 1 besides the HoM. And if you have linked accounts, these easter eggs mention what your player character you named your account after name was. Like “Raven Paradox and his/her band of heroes once fought the Flame Legion at this location”. I mean, after all, there are status of Jora and Pyre although almost no one ever used them in their parties lol.
I’ve played nearly every part of this game and have yet to hit any form of DR. You guys are trying to farm. GW2 isn’t a farming game. Thus, there is DR. If you don’t like it, Pandas await you.
I have confirmation from a dev that it is considered exploiting as it is no different than a macro. He mentioned that there would likely be disciplinary action, likely a warning at first and up from there.
All in all, don’t do it. It really is no different than using a macro/bot. When you’re playing the game, you’re suppose to be playing it.
Except for the part where no third party app and no scripting is being used…
Was it a really a dev or just a clueless GM? Any proof of this exchange? For privacy reasons I’m not giving in fnames as it was his playable character. He had his ArenaNet tag and was telling us what he did on the game, and that he was a developer. He said what I said. It’s against the rules. If you don’t think it is, go ahead and cheat and be banned for it. That can be your proof.
Yes, it’s dirty cheating by putting up Turrets in a completely accessible area, with choosing Traits that ArenaNet gave you to auto-heal them and reduce damage taken, and letting their natural AI attack targets. Yup, dirty cheating.
Get off your soapbox.
Thats what they consider. Go talk to them not me. But yeah, you are cheating because you aren’t playing the game. Why do you get to earn that loot and experience/karma when you aren’t playing the game? The turrets are suppose to help your character in combat. They aren’t suppose to do all the work.
You are a cheater. End of story.
11) Revive someone that is in front of you and being attacked by a ranger with a longbow so they can get up without being forced to call you a moron. Seriously, people say they didn’t rez me because I lashed at them, yet I wait a bit before I say “umm… help?” and get fierce. Those are the types of people that actually do need to go back to WoW.
I’d say necro. Not only do they have skills to add conditions, but skills to control conditions. They also have trait lines for power and precision to make them deal more damage and last longer.
