since disabler . i saw more open – field fights in wvw maps . better militia kill the enemies and take the price of the loot and the belt from lord.
in my view , wvw became better than before with disabler
p.s. there are always the trebs-omega-catapults-balista- ac that are out of trap range . only ram affect so much the disabler
until now the disabler forced the players REAL fight for their loot ….

stop crying people. and go to eotm . this map created for this situations where all people want to play in wvw maps.
at least queues made the matchups more balanced for other servers that don’t have so many players in wvw every day .
now we will see what server is strong or weak with equal numbers not by outnumbering the enemy …..

9 months after eotm release my server T2 Eu ( Aurora Glade ) has queues again on Friday reset ,as you can see in the print-screen below.
Ofc , there is not any people that returned to game . people was always there , playing pve on megaserver maps and dungeon , they just didn’t want to play a game mode without rewards .
So, be smart dear anet devs and KEEP the REWARDS after each matchup ! small , big reward doesn’t matter . rewards are rewards . just make them unique to give a reason to people play this game mode
p.s. we don’t forget . you have a new map to make for wvw

what you mean ? “any guardian using tomes in a zerg fight will die instantly” . i don’t understand ., because guardians use tomes all the time in zerg fights.
also, no need the guardian to do the leap on symbols and to all other light field skills …..
warriors can leap on guardian’s light fields with 1. savage leap ( swords ) 2. bull charge 3. shield bash ( shield ) 4. eviscerate ( burst of axe . lol now the most power warrior burst will do more damage ) and 5 dash from elite . some other classes have also some leaps , but warrior have the most leap skills

i am playing a lot guardian , war , eng , thief …..
while i am roaming with thief i stay away from shout/concentrate guards and eng …. all other classes are ok to play against them .
if i see med guards it is my favorite time. i know they are most of the times spvp players … they are doing burst damage and thats all . nothing more . i am killing them softly 
p.s. my build is both for zerging and roaming . i am not doing extremely damage but nobody can instant kill me…. skill and time bring the winner and maybe i am not the winner but i want have all the times good fights , not serial killing
In September update anet changed the old light + leap combo ( retaliation to caster ) to retaliation + condition.

the problem that created is that it seems the retaliation stack too much with virtues skills ( f keys ) inside zerg “balls” and guardians have access all the time to retaliation , because all guardians that want use the tomes in zerg fights will have trained virtue of retribution from virtues trait line ,because of elite focus in master that gives stability now .
the melee zerg “balls” now are full of retaliation and make them immune to damage and they reflect a lot of damage back to the source when a player hit the melle train with skills that do repeat damage ( meteor , FT , static field , etc ) because it applies 8 seconds of vulnerability same time with retaliation damage.
personal feeling about light aura is that is wrong and the retaliation boon is something that should replaced from other boons like regeneration or protection or stability to fit more the role of guardians and to not destroy other classes game-play or lower the vulnerability time (8s) or to lower the retaliation damage that it will destroy the roamer builds that invested to retaliation training and i am not approving it.

eotm shoot hard wvw 9 months ago …. at least it is the only truth around .
the game is not bad , never was , but wvw is the same very long time and since it is the meta pvpve content for the game this is not good for people that want some progress and major changes in the game mode that are playing so many hours every day.
p.s. these centaurs are very annoying me some times in home borders

One of the best things about playing against nightcappers is it doesn’t matter whether you refresh siege or not.
siege timers affect a bit the coverage .
let me give an example. when i am alone in the map “cleaning” the south area in my border , while most of our people fighting at eb ( this is a common situation in EU server nights ) , if i have to stop this action and go back to gar , hills , bay ( no time for towers sieges refresh ) then i left the south area without “eyes” .
in this time the enemies will start building omegas and i will not know it because when i will go back i will found only a lord with an ex – time buff to capture again and the time i am capturing back the camp , they are attacking gar, hills, bay ….
i lost very valuable time to safe our keeps . i failed as scouter …. because of refreshing the sieges .
so , siege refresh timers can affect coverage too , under some specials situations ,because you need have more forces to do this awful “job” to stay competitive against enemies.
p.s. maybe the solution for all these siege timers / coverage problems is the disable trap … we will see ….

A while ago, people complained that it was unfair that a T3 tower/keep full of supplies could be taken under 3 minutes with a zerg and that 1-2 defenders could do pretty much nothing but watch.
Now I didn’t really get to play to see how bad it could be, but really, give it a few days and players will adjust.
Just like they did with ram and AC mastery.
it is a bit different situation here.
this trap total disable sieges and the people that hate siege usage will find it as their paradise tool and people that love to play with blobs and sieges will hate it .
i am sure we will see write different players on these forums … soon

Unless this was already the case and I never realised – “Focused Mind” was silently buffed and now gives AoE fury (max 5 limit) on meditation use.
That could help med guards in roaming parties more useful along with the new shadowstep.
med skill gives aoe fury ?
still no room for med guards in gvg …. fury gives ele and war . no need a selfish guard build to give this buff to any serious pvp party .
but it is ok something from nothing for havoc pt or roaming that incidentally have some allies around

disabler trap skill needs to trigger an immune buff on tricks on disabled siege. at least half time of disabled effect .

i am playing for my server and for me same time , and i am not alone in that “ship” . check the requirement wvw section and you will find a lot of server requirements .
that means server pride exist , as PPT exist , because of score ofc.
i built my eng to have 3200 armor , with flamethrower ( +200 toughness ) i am playing 2 weeks now in front-line without any problem .
when the enemy zerg is not so strong , i really don’t want the +200 toughness from ft .
as for stability in zergs , it is not eng problem but guardians …. guardians should give stability to zerg , and if the formation is all guardians in the same parties , then all other people remained without stability . this is a problem that solved only if you left guards without pt or separate them equal to all parties , choose what you want

I agree with the OP siege refresh is ridiculous, why on earth should siege just disappear after a set time, must be some serious bloody woodworm in these keeps and towers. It’s hard enough trying to defend a tower when a 60 man blob turns up, you hit all your defences to run through the crowd on the gate, get inside and lo and behold all the siege you placed earlier in the day is gone and you’re left slinging stones from the tower walls with 0% chance of holding.
I naturally like to play tower defence, zerging for me is boring, I’d much rather pit my wits to keep an enemy at bay. However I’m now at the stage where I no longer scout because it just costs me money and I earn next to none back. I throw 10 bits of siege up in a tower, probably spend 2g on that, another couple of gold upgrading and then head off for tea. Come back an hour or 2 later and because the person you left scouting didn’t do a job I now have to spend more on resiegeing, if the tower has been taken.
ANet need to find a better way to reward people that don’t jump on the karma train and want to play this game with some level of tactics and sanity. Siege refresh is just another way to drain gold and ensure the zerg mentality remains.

i am sure they don’t want to drain the player’s gold from sieges. if anet wanted to do it this way they should remove the feature to take sieges with badges , and badges falling from the sky in eotm , just following the zerg …..
also , i don’t care about simple sieges. theya re not logic the timers for guild / superior sieges and i will update the first post because i have a feeling that it delivers wrong message.
both need much more game time , materials and special the guild sieges are limited by the time …

as a wvw commander ( pug that hates to speak on teamspeak ) my difficulties are these .
- i don’t know some basic info and stats of the players around me / follow me. for example if i had as info from the guardians near me ( the armor , vitality and the healing power ) i can suggest them were they should stay in battle . near me or with the damage dealers .another info that is very useful for commanders is what utility and elite skills they are using .also the level should be useful to suggest to players where to stay in battle . at least for wvw i think that all have a place in battle , even an uplevel char can use a siege with safety if he has the mastery , but if he will go play in-front line i am sure the front line enemies will be the last thing that he will see in the battle before dies

- i don’t know where are the people that are following me . in the party formation players can see with blue dots the other players in the map . as commander if i had with yellow dots the position of them in the map i can organize them better and i will know if i have scouters in-front or behind me
- final the /supplyinfo /accept to come to my squad ( there is not like this now , everyone can join the squad ) and any other commands you can add it in a small window when someone opens his commander tag as tiscan suggested, available with mouse click . chatting and fighting is some times is very hard and triggers some times to open other in-game windows like TP , inventory . i think an addition in general options menu to disable windows to be opened from chat will help a lot the “pug” commanders .
also i want to ask you a generic favor for wvw ( and maybe is good for pve too ) . can you add in chat , when someone is speaking his current guild tag next to his name ?

death from above + stomp + physical training + berseker stance is a wonderful knock out situation against enemy zergs that pvd the gates 
vpn users , local net inside the arenanet network , better computer , gaming mouses / keyboards give advantages in spvp .
so, there is not any spvp fair fight . there is always the winner and the defeated player . the same situation is in wvw with some different parameters .
the problem with 5 skill on hammer is that it has wrong/bugged animation time and the cast time of it is definitely not 3/4 seconds ……
at least until the last time i used it …. some months ago. if they fixed it, i don’t know

the problems with shield is that is created to used with full concentrate skills and it is a static weapon .
mobility is one of the problems of guardians and shield makes him more static , aka predictable or … the main target for the enemies

With the changes to adrenaline coming for warriors does that mean if a guardian blocks a warrior attack, the warrior loses adrenaline (after the new patch due this month). Will that not make it a more interesting fight between guardians and Warriors?
by total destroying skilled player tools the “fantastic” QA team of anet , they are destroying any will from skilled players to stay in game.

the problem was not the 100b by itself , but the trait forceful greatsword that gave on every critical one might … so with a full cast of 100b a warrior earn 8 mights in 3 seconds + 5 mights from signet of rage + 3 mights from great justice + 3 mights from battle sigil + mights from strength rune ++++ = 25 stacks of might that remain on the char ( +45% might duration from strength rune ) and final + 5% damage under effect of might from strength rune again !!!
this situation created a char , heavy armored , with the most power in game ,and guess what . this situation will remain after the next patch !!!!
this is wrong and it is the first time i see so many changes ( runes , sigils ) create so many exploitations in game .
april’s patch should be a patch balance , not a patch to create more exploits ….. oh no , they nerfed the boon stacking and they screwed fire aura and cleansing bolts …. big balances ….. eh ?

your talking like warrior is the only profession who can generate might (NOT), its on Crit on melee range, look at how eles or guardian generate might!!

other professions dont need to hit the enemy to gain might let alone Criting them in melee range.

) . far better combination for all situations in game . from roaming to zerg fights

zerg fights :
if all know their role in zerg fights then there is not any need for any com , but most of the times in zerg fights coming players for farming and everyone knows these players press only the 1 key . commanders can not make them press their skills or to not spread out from the fight , except to loose their voices demanding every single time specific skills.
personal when i am playing my engineer or my ele in zerg fights i know when and where the zerg need the waterfield ( i have always the commander in my target ) and i blast it alone , because i know that there is always the risk someone else place other field on top before the blasting from others.
it is a working method and i help a lot my zergs and we win most of the times ,even outnumbered
guild fights :
they have their com service . nothing to see here
havoc parties :
same as above , inside a party almost the ctrl+T is more than enough for a party leader
roamers :
they open the skype or the streaming service and they socialize as much they want 
for me , there is not a single reason for a com service from anet . people in server ts most of the times want to socialize and not to use it for the fights . even when i just staying to our server ts to hear what attacked the warnings in ts can not heared because someone else is speaking this time and he is telling us the story of his life and the scouter must say it again and again until someone understand of give him attention .the same time someone else linked multiple times the tower that attacked and all in map knows what is attacked including the wvw guilds that don’t using our server ts ( they have their com service )

I see a lot of video and from what i see this guys are two of the best player around.
please tell me your opinion, i think there is something wrong.. if this war need only an adrenaline little nerf, guardian is NOT on the kitten good spot..

my opinion is that the problem is not the warrior skills but the guardian was predictable med build and warrior knew what to do against him and what guard will do …..
i have killed many full legendary / ascended guardians with my full exotic warrior in 1 vs 1 in wvw ( and with battle standard not used ) because i know med guardians . he was my first character and most played … i know the advantages and the weaknesses of guards and the main weak of guards is the low overall stats against warriors and without stability is a real stun-eater !

when purity was 2 conditions remove every 10 seconds was a good reason to have it .
now with so many god condition classes out there ( they apply more than 5 conditions in 2 seconds ) , the only solution for roaming guards is to kill as much faster your opponent before touch you these conditions …. special the poison ….

2. fix the coverage problem to satisfy the old “burned” players
3. create a claim system that makes the wvw guilds have a REAL meaning in wvw systemi want to see what will happen after 16/9 when a another free to play game with better guild system and siege type will released . place your bets ….
The trials are a bad idea. All those succeed in doing is flood the game with bots and gold sellers. How would they go about ‘fixing the coverage problem’ or ‘the system that makes the W3 guilds have real meaning’? They need working ideas, not just wishful thinking. Elaborate on those.
perhaps you don’t know how is working the trial system.
trial player has all these limitations to make any exploitation useless.
- boting ?
he can not send and he can not receive any email from other players , only from system to take the rewards from events
- chatting ?
write limit to /say . no /map , no /whispers . he can read all
- playing – leveling ?
limit to the first ( race ) cities and the next map until he will reach a maximum level , after that level any progress is blocked . he can enjoy eotm and only to have a point of view how is wvw , and ofc he can play 5 matches in spvp per day
- trial period ?
maximum 15 days . in these days a player can create maximum 5 chars and he knows if he likes the the game or not . if he buys the game all will be normal .
personal i don’t see any problem for free 15 day trials, for ever … actually , i have problem , because they left so much time without open it for ever .servers bleeding in wvw and they do nothing .
i am here to see how you can exploit my trial method

Again, changing WvW to be EotM to replicate the anonymous nature of a loose organization of a larger population is not only a detrimental marketing move, it is redundant.

I used to be pretty hardcore when it came to server pride. In season 1 I hardly had any sleep for the entire season and often spent upwards of 8 hours a day scouting. And then theres all the upgrades and repairs and organizational tasks that nobody wants to do and the hundreds in gold and siege you donate to commanders. At the end of the day, its just not worth. Guild pride is, but investing in server pride is setting yourself up for problems.
the guild pride is something that is inside the guild . the other people of the server just don’t know wvw guilds many times. most of the times the guild priorities are not server priorities and this situation creates conflicts in game . pug commanders are not helped from wvw guilds members , guilds remain to their fights ignoring the map etc
guild /claim system is so poor in wvw and it is not helping wvw servers or wvw guilds to remain healthy and strong
the funny part of server pride is the spy accounts . ofc anet wants all these spies to spend gold for useless upgrades like fortify ( 1,50 gold ) before run anything else , but the furstation that creates the coverage problem in the majority of servers is out of control after 2 years .
the game is old and they have 3 options :

if anet remove the outnumbered buff , they should think how to make more balanced the matchups .
some players in the past suggested all home borders have a escalation depending the number of players that are playing in their home server. .
this feature will block the blob zoning at nights and outnumber servers will perform better the nights /early morning .
if anet add this feature , i am in to removed the outnumbered buff , else better do not touch it until they found a way to bring people all the time to wvw maps.

if i am understanding correct the phrase tanking the problem is coming that all people want to go to tier 1 and to first servers because of bigger chance of the best results and as result of this to have better rewards .
so the problem is coming from rewards and not so much from the current position.
i had suggested in the past the first prices are not double from the the third , but anet continues to give the double rewards to first server and they are screwing the second and much more the third .
in real sport leagues same happens ( big cities , have big money and big teams ) , but iin gw2 this situation creates paradise servers with 300% coverage all the time and toxic servers that nobody wants to be in ….
for this reason the prices should be
first : 200 , second : 175 , third : 150 and not 200 / 150 /100 as it is now.
in 4 weeks tournament one server with 4 wins will have 800 tournament tickets and one server with 4 defeats will have 600 tournament tickets .600 tickets is a good reward compared to 800 …. 400 is the half of 800 and people join the servers with more chances to have 800 tickets after 4 weeks.
now a bad coverage server ( history proved that bad coverage servers have better players ) with 4 defeats will win the half rewards from a server that have 100% coverage all the time .
p.s. i hope server transfers that triggers the current reward system is not something that is coming from any business model …..
To be honest I disagree with this nerf to base damage on warrior greatsword. This nerf feel totally off. What make GS strong is a combination of traits and especially 1 trait which is forcefull greatsword.
This is the one and only trait in game that provide might on crit without ICD. Just Add a 1 second ICD to this trait, without touching to GS base damage and PvE GS warrior will be balanced.

yeah in front of omega golems . it is excellent counter for golem rockets
I just spent a few hundred gold and a few months trying to make a mix of zealot main pieces and knightght off pieces work. I found the small amount of healing power to be underwhelming for roaming and the lack of vitality means you get Condi bombed easily. That vit would also help in zerg clashes too. Swap any zealot piece out for zerker and you’re probably better off.
Now instead, what I did is run full celestial with hoelbrak runes(which simultaneously offset the lack of power and help with conditions) . If you’re looking for a good spread of stats, that plus power weapons, mostly zerker trinkets and battle sigils should do great.
agree . right now the only trait that affected too much and scales good from healing power is selfless daring .
more healing power need the guards that affected from waterfields to fast and full restore their HP , aka the frontiline guards in raid .
500 – 600 hp is a very good number for a frontline guard and usage of celestials in parts that have minor stats ( like gloves , boots , shoulders , back item ) can give this number on healing power without loosing too much stats from other stats AND by changing only the traits someone can switch from raid mode to roaming easy

this is absolute correct and every week the player must speak with battle historian to claim the matchup reward ( 1st : 200 , 2nd:150 , 3rd :100 ) and sum up all the tournament tickets from every week at the end of season 3 .

first question ( i don’t have twitch account ) :
most of guardians right now and after april’s patch have problem to clean ( when he is roaming , not in zergs with shout /trooper builds ) the heavy conditions that some classes apply on them .
is there any fix on this issue ?

what happened to Cleansing Bolts after april’s patch ?

Following a tag in EoTM is like hitting one Champion after another in short intervals.I liked it.
i liked it too and most of players out there liked more than wvw , because of these reasons .
also. eotm is the most important reason that wvw became toxic environment for many servers .
00:00 GMT in our current macthup one enemy server with most of their players out of europe and from America ( Spanish language server ) had blobs in all maps while the other two servers had only 25+ players for all maps to defend what the daily forces upgraded .
ofc , that was impossible and all maps turned to one color ….
they tried and they patched ( eotm map , wvw masteries ) but unfortunately one of these patches was shoot in the foot …..
eotm was good alternative but became main wvw map for many players ( the first diamond legend : 10000 rank became in eotm , coincidence ? i don’t think so ) , because of faster rewards and great fun in all levels ….
this hilarious situation becoming more funny when the seasons start and all people login to eotm and not to wvw to help their servers , because you know they will complete the achievements in eotm too …. bingo
you are wrong – the shoot in the foot was the wvw masteries – atleast the buffs to siege
since they made AC´s very OP the WVW is a boring/annoying place and since than the population was dying
i know wvw is designed so even the worse casual clicker can feel like a hero with spamming aoe while blobbing but this patch nailed it
now the horrible players sit in all the towers and feel like superheros and wait even hours for an zerg
just ugly
best times was the 1 day matches the first 2 weeks after release – noone cared bout siege or tower upgrades cause noone could pay this and ppl just fought everywhere
eotm is a step back to this and its fun – would arenanet remove now all the siege in eotm it could be even more fun^^
25 men guild run ( Dawn ) with 2 randoms ( me and one ele from votf guild ) took AM T3 GARRISON under a kitten load of sieges ( acs , trebs , catas , trebs , everything ) in prime time after 2 hours of fight against the whole server. fun ? a lot …. rewards ? their wp and the feeling of the fight.
all people in sieges had masteries and all the sieges was superiors …..
i don’t want hear again for superior sieges . a guardian on the ram can create 103% protection and he is taking 0 damage from sieges .
all masteries have the opposite mastery . the siege might has the siege bunker , etc

the golden / silver / bronze leagues is bad idea with so few servers each league. players in servers are boring because they are fighting every week the same enemies.
anet should start thinking more serious the coverage problem and create the situations for balanced wvw population all the times and create worlds with not separated leagues , but only one with the X number of servers each one. ( NA , EU – internationals , NA/EU – nationals )
p.s. and separate the national servers from internationals …. we have nothing common with the national servers

With the release of Feature Pack 2 on September 9th, WvW players who reach rank 10,000 will be able to continue earning WXP and rank-up chests.
so , more wexp farming in eotm or you are thinking to lower the rewards in eotm to a logical lower value compared to wvw , because it was created as an alternative map for wvw queues ?
