Better healing than warriors (we were meant to have it in the first place…)
Pure of voice to convert three conditions to boons

but not all at the same time, no-one wants guardians to become just a better version of warriors

exactly . most of players focus on damage role of guardian and they missed the real mission of guardians that is in just one word.

sigil of strength + scholar runes ( you can crafted them ) a guardian can have better overall stat results ,and aegis gives the +10% damage with lower cost than 6 strength runes and permanent might

Guild Wars 2 is not ‘oddly coded." It’s an MMORPG. This is a normal thing. It happens in Defiance, WoW, other high population MMOs.

exactly , all mmo need a lot of cpu power .i have monitor the gw2 threads ( with process lasso and porcess explorer ) and i saw that sounds consume a lot of cpu power , because sound opens a lot of sub-threads.

@OP , lower your settings in www ( but keep textures in middle and resolution in native ) and all be fine . if you want to know what you can lower to have best visual results check my signature link where i have post how a 7 year old pc and with AMD cpu can play in www without lag !

Now pls remove your fixed rush/bulls messages because I don’t get why you posted that, they did say they fixed it a long time ago but the skills still keeps missing al placing you behind target.

no , i will not remove them , because you posted some specific bugs relative to this skill that has to deal with AI of npc or walls in www .

the general usage of this skill is not bugged and it has nothing to do , with general bugs that we have to deal after the last update.

there is nothing worst if devs lost their time to fix some minor or specific skill bugs relative to specific NPC AI , than fix the combo skills for example that affects all, in www , roaming or gvg and spvp/tpvp and ofc all in pve too.

this is why i didn’t include the wurm bug , because it affects the economy and not the general gameplay

It’s not fixed, and I find it odd that you have gone to the trouble of posting that it is in every thread where it has been brought up. You also offer no insight into where you say it’s “fixed.” Here’s a challenge for you:

1) Use Rush on an ice crystal during the Jormag pre. Make sure it’s targeted.
2) On the Champion Rotting Oakheart in Queensdale.
3) The Great Jungle Wurm (sometimes this does actually work, oddly)
4) Any moving target that is greater than 500 units in front of you.
5) Try to traverse any destructible terrain. Bridges in Edge of the Mists are a great example.
6) Try it on a target behind a wall or other obstacle where it is not possible for Rush to reach it.

Post your results. Include screenshots or preferably videos. I’d love to see the evidence of this “fix.”

i tested it in pve and in www and it is ok . if there are some specific situations like these that you posted , better open a new thread and post all these specific situation where this skill is bugged .

but , this thread is relative to general usage of this skill and in this situation it is not bugged !

Lets assume the issue hasn’t been ignored this entire time, and they are simply struggling to fix it, surely a skill remake should of been on the table a long time ago?

Weapon Swap - 3 Second freeze delay after

Bug still occurs with warrior burst skills.

If you weapon switch too fast after hitting burst, character CANNOT ATTACK AT ALL for 2-3 seconds.

Main reason for switching out of burst is after Flurry (sword), switching too fast results in being locked out of attacking.

no it is not exist anymore . i burst a lot of times just now and i switched to other weapon with no problem and i continued to attack

@Malganis.7468 i know this, but it is not a bug that affects the gameplay like these i posted , but the economy and i total ignored it .

i really do not care if a boss can killed by one’s class skill , but i will care if this skill do the same to players.

if they want to calm the other players , they can remove the boss until the fix , easy solution

After the last major update everything changed , but some things stopped working as indeed.

i do not want make you more tired than you are and i did a work for you and i added all the major bugs on weapons / armors / skills , runes and sigils that stopped to work after this patch.

i will start with my personal bugs because they affects the whole www .

now, the combo skills give the animations but they are not giving the bonus buff or utility as indeed. i found until now two.

  1. fire aura . it appears the animation but it is not increasing the power of the char and it is not burning anything
  2. cleansile bolts , it appears the animation , but it doesn’t remove any condition

i am trying to find the rest of the bugs on combos , but i need help from other players and need time.

Will this include WvWvW ? So will WvW get its well deserved and much needed love ?

it is mistake by design if they sync the content of the client with Chinese version because they must work in the same time in bugs that have our client and their client .

this need double time and double resources , where if they had a big delay ( like an event + 15 working days ) they can serve a better and without bugs / exploits content to the chinese version

after the last update the old weapons/ armor / combo skills stopped working as indeed and the bugs still not fixed after a month because they are working on chinese version.

what will happen with the new untested content ? lol

unfortunately it is not the only one bug after the last update where they merge the spvp type of weapons/armors with pve/www .

all combo and synergy skills stopped working !

What are the stats supposed to be?

46 and not 44 maybe ?

Celestial or Soldier for WvW zergs ?

for zerg fights your primary goal is to stay alive , to aplly as more and often boons you can to your allies and ofc to keep them alive with some spike heals .

vitality , toughness , healing power and boon duration are the most important in supporter role and power ,precision , toughness , ferocity in offensive role .

celestials with + % stats runes are a good choice for a guardian that do not want spend hours in theoretical crafting to find the best combination for his play style but you are on the middle of anything and with this armor you must learn very good the guardian to be good in 1 vs 1 because you must create very unique builds . in zergs with celestial you can switch ( by switching traits , food and weapon types ) in any role without cost and with good results.

essence of luck stacks

I was wondering, since I sometimes got 250 essence of luck (exotics), cant they add the crafting for the legendary essence of luck? Else I need to click all those stacks

personal i stack all the legendaries and the exotics i crafting them by the smaller . the reason is that the mf items are coming from salvaging loots and the game in the current state has very few farming locations ( groups of mobs for loot ).

i guess that if they want to raise a bit the difficulty of crafting the precursor , the legendary mf have a place in this crafting , because it is SUPER RARE and in every big update they gave us some of them

p.s. if i am not wrong i thing the crafting stops now in exotics , i do not know if they add the legendary mf and how many exotics will need , but after one year and 5 months of playing i have 17 legendaries essence of luck ….

www should remain a death area for players, special for new one .

www is a gw2 sandbox end game and experience matters.

there is always the eotm maps where a new player can take experience to raise his wexp rank and be 80 lvl to be competitive before access the www.

also a new player takes a lot more exp from story line quests than by playing in www.

i want two things for my guardian .

1. i want back ( prior of last update ) the usage of cleansisle bolts to remove the conditions from my guardian.

why i want cleansisle bolts and i why i refuse to use the honor trait + rune of trooper + signet of resolve etc ?

because cleansisle bolts is weapons combos and need player’s skill when and how to use them and all other from traits or runes need zero skill from player.

if they wanted to lower the affect of passive remove conditions ( the www shout build ) from zergs they can add a % of success to all or some of these passive condition removals .

by destroying the cleansisle bolts they removed the skills from guardians and made them all pvp meditation monkeys in www .

2. i need real protection skills or combos for my guardian , like blinding bolts or more blinding skills . i refuse to understand why a thief or mesmer can protect better with stealth their allies than a guardian.

when i want to run dollies i log off my guardian and i log my thief . this is silly for a class with the name …. guardian !

Simply not taking damage on armor is not enough.
Please remove all downed and dead effects on stacks and buffs etc.
The no damage thing is more of an insult that you think that was enough for the fact that you have not put any real effort into balancing the zerg problem.

I know how you people at anet love npc’s but please. Do not add more npc related nonsense to wvw. Keep that baby business in pve.

smart pve like ogre , dredge or hylek camps are very good type of pve and they need to add more like this or something like wildstar will add as a boss fight after a successfully capture of enemies keep.

mindless pve like centauvs and skirts that are doing nothing excpet make us wasting time to see what is attacking a camp , they should total remove and do not add something like that again.

all npc near wp/towers are good for scouters to pass their time more constructive than just sit there and scout and to increase the weapons stacks

I really don’t consider that smart pve. Its just more things to kill if you are caping a camp. With enough people you will do it fast enough for their npc bs to not matter. Where as if you are alone or duo you mostly avoid these because its a huge waste of time. Edge of the mists is really bad for this case as the players just run around and karma train and farm kills while npc do repairs, auto cannons, really tanky npcs.

If you want more npcs there is always pve. In wvw these things arnt required and I would expect anet to make more player interactive things and less to none pve elements.

i could easy answer to this “If you want more npcs there is always pve.” with this “If you want pure pvp there is always the spvp” , but i will not do it , because most of the players think tha www is just pvp.

they refuse to understand that the pvp is just one tool to have a victory and there are are many other parts in www that satisfy players with more needs from a mmo than to just pvp .

i know people that they love to use sieges, to scout in passive or in an active way , to run dollies or return an easy cap of a camp to a victory alone against a 5 men group by the help of these extra veteran npc …..

happened ? many times … and the feeling that you returned alone a lost to a victory is priceless !

It just mean no CD.
Have you ever seem a Mesmer that keep disappearing. That is an example of no -CD hacks.

sorry mate , but i will disappoint you . you describe an almost perma PU stealth Mesmer that is allowed by traits to be : PU stealth mesmer build , while i am speaking of skills behavior when a player takes cc on him and he is contiuesly pressing the skills because of effect of cc that disabled his skills and he want them to use it , before the enemy that applied on him the cc kill him

the problem in www now is that the lemongrass is to rare and it is expensive , no the buffs and no the masteries.

server side detection always need more server resources and sometimes are not available for a company ’s budget .

if someone do a research will find that hackers are using memory injection that nothing can prevent this , except other tools like punkbuster that scan continuously check the memory for injections. this solustion is expensive and can create more porblems to regular players than the hackers themselves .

my solution to problem , at least for under the map attacks is very easy and it is inside the anet’s dev possibilities .

redesign the www maps ( this is a demand from anyone that i know and play wvw a lot . these maps are old now ) and remove any map data under of the current map and make them all the www maps like eotm where if someone pass under the map he will fall and die . they can add the same eotm rules in www maps that force the player fall if pass down of the maps. whatever they inject the client or not. this is the reason that eotm has not these type of issues !!!

with zero damage cost in game it is a good method to find the pve bots too ( all maps include the pve maps and dungeons are suffering from this issue , because there is water or static map data under the map . a search on youtube and you will fiind a lot of videos ) , because some of them they will be too lazy to return to fix their armor and they will continue fight … naked :p

p.s. personal i stopped playing in www this weekend in aurora glade (all know what server have the hackers and we know and their clan too ) , after the last attack on my server from these hackers because i don’t allow anyone ruin my game time with lame methods like cheats.

All of the Symbol traits come to mind honestly. Symbols are terrible(in pvp) that provide no significant benefit to you or hinderance to your enemy.

not so sure about this . symbols are a real nightmare for thieves and are if theya re larger it affects bigger area on zerg fights ( special from staff ).

overall i agree with most of opinions . we had some diversity in the past , but now the limits of builds are very close to 1 or 2

p.s. the second is not the shout ofc…. i am speaking about concentration build !

oh yeah , diversity and polymorphism on traits in www is a fact !!!

today i tried the trait with shouts that convert 1 conditions to a boon and i did the mistake to use in a havoc fight the save your selves skill. i filled up with 6-7-8 conditions ( i lost the count, i drawn all conditions from my allies on me ) and two times i tried to remove them with cleanssisle bolts or heals and i died with all of them on me after 2 seconds .

i kittened off and i get to pve . i retuned with same armors / weapons , but mediations build /skills and i never died again from conditions …..

lol . this update should renamed to : Meditation Full Update Travelers Pack

if all are fine i am still try to find what is wrong and my previous rune setup ( 2 trevelers + 4 divinity ) had better stats than the 6 divinity that i have now ….

also i can not understand WHY the boon duration is separated stat in trevelers , monk , water , givers e.t.c. and IT IS NOT INCLUDED in divinity stats . at least they should add in description all stas but not boon duration , to be a bit professional .

my opinion is that it is wrong this logic …very wrong ( like the stats in ascended jewelers or exotic back item that have better stats than ascended , as you can see in this post : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/crafting/Where-is-the-Sentinel-Ascended-Back-item/first#post3741078 ) , and this is why the divinity dropped so much its price and nobody give a try to celestial armor !!!

ANET should review what means stat in this game !!!

Cleansing bolts stopped removing conditions

After the last update this combo skill stopped working for caster and allies too. i tested in www and in pve area and it is not removing conditions anymore . not a single one …

also the warrior stamina signet that removes conditions works well in spvp but not in pve or www. some conditions like poison ( perhaps from sigil of doom ) can not removed from this signet.it just fail to remove all the conditions when used like before the update.

fix this asap, please . it is game breaker issue and it affects the whole game .

so with their stealth thieves can protect better their allies than guardians !

Thanks for the help guys It’s encouraging in a way. Watched your videos and I like them Amins. I’m seeing what I can incorporate from the way you play. Hey Blasino, Those dodge rolls are awesome! I honestly get the feeling I’m going to have to gear ‘tanky’ . Berserker just doesn’t feel the same in WvW/sPvP

if you liked his videos pause at the the end of the 6th video and see that he is using full berserker armor …..

remove the shouts and use a mediation or a concentration or a mix of them build and win every fight , but i am sure after some fights you will loose your wiliness to play anymore the guardian

and change sword with scepter … guardians spvp style is the only style now

Because they gave only passive stats or passive enchantments to existent passive effects ( not player skill need for this ) and they remove the actually synergy skills effects ( the synergy skills need a good level of knowledge of skills from player ) that the guardians had to deal with conditions on them .

this game now is only for god conditions builds and only and for guardians mediation build ( the most boring and unskilled build ) or nothing .

seems spvp team wins the www team , so far

rage quit playing my guardian and maybe the game since is my first character and beloved his play-style until now.

p.s. first i thought was bug when i couldn’t remove conditions on me with synergy skills until i saw the changes on the wiki

p.ss. i turned to mediation /concentration build and for first time i killed a mesmer without even move …. so boring

i did some research and i found that flickering can come from invalid voltage on the gpu chip ( Invalid Vddc ).

a quick tip : reset via “AMD Overdrive” disabling “Overdrive Graphics”

also i think that you installed the desktop drivers and not the mobile ones. so just run the cleaner amd tool : http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

As the title suggests, the idea is to lower the number people able to play on a map. I’m not sure how the algorithm works now, but the current system makes 50-60 man blobs possible without queueing the map. The proposal is to make the queue hit at, say, 40-50 players on the map.

I feel this could address many of the recurring problems that players bring up here.

1) It decreases blobbing. If the queue is 40-50 people, it becomes inefficient to stay in a 40-50 man blob. Zergs would probably naturally split up into 15-20, with smaller havoc and roaming groups.

2) It decreases the influence of coverage without being biased towards any time zone. If the player cap is decreased on all maps, it becomes a bit easier to defend structures. As it is now, some servers are able to run 60 man blobs over BL’s of 10-20 defenders.

3) It decreases the influence of population. Same reason as above.

4) It discourages server stacking. If the player cap is lowered to 40-50 people per map, some servers will easily see 250+ in queue for all maps, even post-Season. At some point, it becomes better for guilds to just transfer off to a lower populated server. This offers guilds some reason to look into dead servers.

5) It decreases the amount of lag players experience. Self-explanatory.

I realize this sounds viscerally unappealing at first, and I don’t pretend there are no cons to it. But after thinking about it, it would help with many of the recurring issues. Thought I’d open the thought for discussion here.

i agree on this as an emergency solution ,because the game is designed to have ONLY ONE AND ONLY SINGLE TARGET.

what i mean . in eb the main target for all are the SM and KEEPS . a small area where all forces are concentrating to fight each other. the same logic followed to borders.

if they re-design the castles and the maps ( bigger castles/towers s and bigger maps ) and inside the castle the forces should capture more points than a single one as it is now IN THE SAME TIME , then all forces will split up in more than one location and the game clients and servers will work as indeed .

an example of why this is correct is the home borders. when all forces in the map fight in garrison all have skill lag , but when all forces fight in more than one area ( hills and bay for example ) nobody has lags or skill lags

this is why i asked in the past a merge of home borders in just one (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Dear-Anet-possible-merge-for-old-WvW-Maps/first#post3695241). the fights will split up in all map and not in a single point . with 3 garrisons , 3 main keeps and difficult approached towers and the bloodlust in the middle all forces will split in the whole map to have better results in the same time

Hello,

I just bought a new laptop and I got a huge problem with guild wars 2.

Processor is a I7 4th gen 4700MQ,
GPU is a AMD R9m290X

When I start the game the screen starts flickering, I can select auto detect and the game will put itself on high. But the flickering stays. The FPS is around 60 but as you can see in the video below, it’s really unplayable.

Does anyone has an idea how to solve this? I guess it’s the gpu driver but not sure…

check if there are any updates for directx since the game is using dx9 libraries and you will have a new os that most the times not have all older dx libraries :

i gave you a + in your post because you provide a different play for the game , that now ,it is not rewarding at all .

since www is the current pvpve sandbox game mode of gw2 , you jave all the rights to demand rewards for your player style .

just ignore the trolls and keep demanding from devs to open their minds to all player styles or change to an other game that fits more your player style .

i am sure it is not your problem if you have as warrior a trait where you can revive in 10% less the rez time or give 10% might to allies while you revive someone in www . it is anet’s problem to understand that if they are not rewarding the different players at the end they will loose them all

2 things create this lag .

  • the server sends all the voice data from other clients to our client and this is server and client resource waste .

how i found it ? one day i captured a camp and when the battle ended i heard the voice of the second ally ( it was an asura ) . also the voice is the reason that in www old pc are not perform well as you can read in my thread > https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/7-years-old-PC-without-LAG-in-WWW-1080p/first

if server side department can limit (or give us the option to total stop the other voices from ally and enemies ) what voice data send the server to client this will have as result way much better performance for all the players and servers too ,because the server will compute and send less data to clients in each battle

  • the second reason is the packet loss between the level3.net and your edge

there is nothing worst for a commander of a pure pve berserker zerg that follows him or having in his party players that use wrong armor /skills for www . we all know what is happening when they face a dedicated www team or a prepared www zerg.

Yes to a function that displays what professions are following a commander. Not much point in asking for a mesmer portal if there’s no mesmer following the commander, for example.

A big NO to armor and stat info. That’s no different than asking for an /inspect feature for dungeons. It becomes a mechanic to promote discrimination, elitism, and exclusivity (i.e Commander screaming: “Stop following me, you rally bots! Get some real armor and real skills before you enter WvWvW!”). Nope, nope, nope, and nope. I’m a commander, myself, and there’s no way I would want this ability in the game.

If that’s what you want, then work with your guildmates to optimize your WvWvW builds and run exclusively as a guild group. But just no to allowing commanders to inspect players’ armor and stats.

in so many mmo ( wow , aoc , swtor , etc ) this option is for everyone . if this option is elitism then it is time for gw2 to be more elitist than casual female char theme-park mmo.

commander can judged and has consequences for his behavior . if he is rude nobody will follow him . if he explains why people will understand and they will be better and more useful for their server and for the other parties in a zerg.

commander as it is now the commander system is like he is walking in a tightrope where he don’t knows what people are follow him and IF they will follow him and are not afk somewhere in the map .

if i want to give 100 gold i want a system that covers at least my minimum needs as commander in wvw . i gave the 100 gold only for pve that it is very useful as it is now , because in pve ,i know that everyone is in berserker and i have only to keep them alive against npc attacks ( predictable )

even in a guild party somebody can use what ever he things it is better and not follow his guild leader order / needs , because there is no way from guild leader to validate that his guild member follows his orders.

happens ? most of the times and even the link of the gear can be with an armor in their inventory ( even in the best EU www guilds ! ) , because there is no way the guild leader to check his group current equipment .

p.s. as a guardian ( pug ) commander i want to know everything i said because i will be the first that will rally if the guardians in my group will not use the proper gear /traits in battle .
