Grats JQ. Make sure you post screenshots of your chest that contains 2 greens and a lvl up scroll mkay.
On the plus side, there shouldn’t be as much skill lag…..

GSCH.
How does one pronounce your name? For now I’m referring to you as “Goomba Rall” but I’m pretty sure that’s incorrect sorry

1. Defense against guards
2. Guard killerare there any other?
/thread
If you guys continue your “winning/Losing” mentality, you will never improve or even have fun, especially when people Victimize themselves, Learn from the match up, practice small man and server organization, coordinate with your fellow guilds, hell even GvG, PREPARE for the upcoming wvw patch
You’re right. A match up like this isn’t a loss. It’s annihilation.
I have Twilight, so that’s GS covered. I’ll probably go for Staff first then sword/focus. Not gonna bother with scepter since ranged weapons are kitten mode.
No such thing as a pve build that’s viable in WvW and vice-versa unfortunately. If you’re running pve in tanky gear, you’re doing pve wrong. If you’re running wvw in zerkers gear you’re a fookin’ rallybot.
Power for sure. Condi guard is just a joke so ANet can say that guard can be super versatile and kitten. If you’re running pve content, buy full zerker’s gear and google a nice dps build. I personally run 10/25/30/5/0, but there are alternative setups to fit your style of play.
For your second question, Fiery Wrath is definitely viable and in fact it is incorporated into most dps-oriented builds. Kindled Zeal on the other hand is kinda eh. The only damaging condition guardians can apply regularly is Burning. None of the +% damage applies to conditions and usually your burn will be quickly outshined by other classes such as Necro or Engi. What this means as a “hybrid” is that half your damage is being lost to other people in your group, essentially slowing down your run.

No, you still have the crafted item. That’s what you dumped your gold on.
As a completionist,
This discussion could’ve been completely avoided if you opened with this in your first response. ;_;
I can empathise with the completionists about the loss of the discovered recipes. You’re really the only people who are shafted by the update, and unfortunately I doubt ANet considers you a large enough portion of their playerbase to go through the extra effort of retroactively awarding bonus crafting exp when it’s much easier to just leave it to the players to do themselves.
(edited by Renny.6571)
Seems that way, since account MF is added to the total displayed on your character stats panel.
But I don’t want the weapons, I want my discoveries tab to remain completed.
Then you’re in for the long haul buddy. Have fun crafting every ascended weapon of every stat combo.
You can’t make sentinel inscriptions. Or did you not know that?
Then what is your question? Will you be required to purchase another Sentinel’s Inscription when you want another Sentinel’s weapon? Yes. Did you always need to buy one to make another Sentinel’s weapon, regardless if it was discovered or not? Yes.
What about those of us that spent serious gold to unlock all the sentinel recipes? Do we get refunded those insignias/inscriptions so we can discover them again to refill our crafting tables? Or do we have to spend hundreds of gold (again)?
As the devs have iterated THREE times
As has been pointed out by other posters: The recipes for inscriptions are not impacted by this, you have to rediscover the weapon and then get XP from it.
Any recipe learned through an item will not be affected! Again, if you double-clicked an item to learn a recipe, that recipe unlock will NOT be reset. If you want to make something from one of the exotic recipes you had learned but it had been reset, simply put the ingredients into the discovery window and make it.
What Vince said. This will not affect any purchased recipes.
Any inscription recipes (ie. THESE) will NOT, I repeat, NOT be lost when the patch hits. This literally cannot be made any more clear.
(edited by Renny.6571)
You’re 5 days early. >_>
regardless of inscription, you still need the mats to craft again and discover the weapon . Something like sentinel is just silly in cost
Regardless of what you think, the amount of materials used for discovery of a recipe and the recipe itself is the exact same. Unless you’re a completionist and you absolutely HAVE to have a full crafting UI, there’s really no reason to hate this incoming change. Infact, rejoice. ANet just saved you loads of time and money.
Well they did just add champion loot boxes that drop rares quite frequently. Before that they added a guaranteed rare from world boss events, both of which didn’t have an ecto sink attached to them.
You never know, they might send you x number of splitters based on what tier of the Legendary Collector achievement you have completed. For the guys with >5 though, not sure. :P

For the people who will quote Belenwyn’s post and ask: “What if we don’t want to do those things either?”
Here’s my question to you: Why do you (still) play this game?
What you are not getting is that all that money we spent on materials, all those mats that we used up, all that time we spent discovering all those recipes, is going to be removed. We are losing all our gold, materials, and time spent for all those recipes we discovered.
No. The item produced is still yours, it doesn’t just disappear because you don’t have the recipe discovered anymore.
And now Anet is telling us basically “oh well, do it again”. Meaning we have to spend all that gold again, all those materials again, and spend all that time again, re-discovering all those recipes all over again. And this is coming from our own pocket.
ANet isn’t telling you to do anything again. If you don’t want to spend your materials and gold again, don’t. Your account won’t have lost value because you don’t want to rediscover a Condition Damage Longbow. And infact, they’re doing us a favour by giving us free crafting experience from discovery, meaning we don’t have to spend as much time and materials on getting to level 500.
Anet is not reimbursing us for all that gold, materials, and time they stole from us. They are making us spend all that gold, materials, and time all over again from our own wallet.
You’ve made the same argument three times in the same post. Arenanet didn’t steal gold and materials from you. You have your previously discovered weapons. Unless you sold/salvaged/ate/forged the weapon, in which case the product of that action is on you, it’s still there.
(edited by Renny.6571)
If you don’t like it, don’t use it.

So basically all the recipes we discovered, we are going to lose them all now. All that gold and time we spent discovering all those recipes is being flushed down the drain. There is no compensation for all that gold or time we lost either.
Well no. THREE devs posted that you won’t lose weapon recipes learned from a recipe consumable (ie. a recipe you paid for). The discovered recipes cost the exact same amount of materials per make. So unless you’re really stingy about having to google the recipe and clicking the 4 pre-requisite materials for your Pearl Greatsword, there really is nothing to complain about.

You’re so cute, thinking you’ll be able to avoid crafting ascended weapons because you can drop them…. drop rates in this game are so high, I mean, look at the exotics. Common, right? Now take that minuscule chance of dropping an exo and divide by 200….
What’s your point? The potential for ascended weapons to drop is still there for you if you only want to play a single aspect of the game.
I believe the thread should be “Hugh” done goofed. . . just saying. :P
Zing!
I switch my Adept Radiance major between Blind Exposure/Inner Fury depending on what I’m doing. For example, in dungeons like CoF, CoE and Arah (situationally) I like to have it on. Otherwise, nope. It’s always vuln on blind.
The only other ways to gain fury outside of a party is ‘Save Yourselves!’ and Tome of Wrath 4. It’s really not a boon we can keep up unfortunately.
Edit: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fury There are also runes too.. I guess.
The question is: can you destroy the bridge with a catapult from the outside of (Color)Lake, then slip through a crack in the wall as a result of the destruction, as a means of capturing (Color)Lake as stealthy and quickly as possible?
Destroying the bridge only stops the enemy from reaching their mortar, so it’s essentially a pointless exercise.
Another side question is: does the bridge scale in damage reduction via the wall upgrades, or no?
It does.
It should also be noted that PoV is bugged atm in that it flips a condi and cleanses another, have fun.
Pretty sure if a bolt explodes near you, you’ll still take aoe damage even through Zealot’s, but if the projectile goes through you, it’ll be absorbed. Similar to the way Wall of Reflect works.. if that makes sense.
Scarlet. She’s sporting a leafy disaster on her head.
I was under the impression that the exotic Invader’s weapons couldn’t be salvaged, but could be tossed into the mystic toilet. I was surprised to find that it didn’t appear in the forge window, so I went to the gw2 wiki and it confirmed my initial belief http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Invader%27s_Weapon, specifically:
Invaders weapons cannot be salvaged, but they can be recycled in the Mystic Forge.
Just wondering if this is intended or if it’s a bug.
Sorry if I’ve repeated a previous post. Tried searching, but you know how that goes.
It’s weird how they are so careful about buffing fotm or dungeon rewards and then they introduce crazy farms like gauntlet.
I find it the opposite tbh. It seems like the guys who adjust rewards are just super lazy rather than being ‘careful’. An obvious example is the new dungeon rewards.
He targets me with every skill in his arsenal during phase 3; I’m a zerk guard. v.v

Rifle+Axe/Horn, full Melandru, Lemongrass Poultry
0/0/20/20/30
II VIII / II IX / V VI XII
Healing Signet, Endure Pain, Signet of Might, Signet of Stam (idk if the passive even works), Signet of Rage
- Melandru+Dogged March+Lemongrass will reduce cripple duration by 98% and weakness by 65%. It’s good, abuse it.
- Traited Balanced will give you a free vigor and stop you from being ninja pulled to your death by an orb.
- Traited horn will allow you to have 100% swiftness uptime, constant vigor and flip weakness to 3 might every ~15 seconds.
Strategy:
Like Gery said, the start of the fight is always the same (minus the random orb spawn).
- Pop rage+horn 4, kill the orb asap and lure the clones to deplete her invul. If you do it fast enough, the second orb will spawn just as you remove her final invul stack; kill with your axe and pop horn 4+5 before switching to rifle.
- Strafe around in a single direction facing the boss spamming rifle 2 and 3. When she leaps to you pop rifle 5 and keep burning her down. If you’re out of stamina and won’t make it to a safe spot, pop EP.
- Eventually another orb spawns, so kill it asap with axe and rebuff with horn before switching back. When you’re at full adrenaline, try to get ahead of the shadow fall aoe and pop Kill Shot.
- Repeat until she dies.
FINALLY got this shadowy midget. Everyone who says they got it in under 50 tries is a kitten liar! Best tip I can give is learn the timing to dodge shadow fall. It’s about ~2 seconds after the circles appear.
Here’s the build I used if anyone’s interested.

bump why anet! whyyy!
When you see Strugar throw meat, CC Chomper asap and steal his meat then put him down. You’ll do massive damage at 3 stacks.
Patch has been live for 2-3 hours? Anet didn’t intend for the Queen’s Gauntlet to be a cakewalk.

This guy begs to differ.
Well they did just nerf the hell out of CoF p1 farming, so maybe they’re going to slowly let the economy down instead of going cold turkey?
ok, all the power to ya LOL, i don’t see anywhere in the updates were it says your going to rich and be rolling in money, in fact it cost you.
From the list of whats offered its EXACTLY like LA, you get a mystic forge, asuars gate access to all areas, etc.. yet just a LA copy but cost 300 gems for TEMP access.
And no one’s forcing you to buy it. I don’t get why it makes you so mad.
Need to work on this update a bit and sry not going to pay 300 gems for temporary access to something i got travel to for free in LA.
Good. I’d rather not have some guy in the same room as me complaining while I roll around in my money.
I feel like maybe the best option would be to just throw out Vapor Form altogether, and replace it with something else decent. Aside from the plethora of bugs, the fact is that it’s only useful in a couple specific scenarios (if you can get into a tower — which many consider OP — or if you can get into water so that you have more useful downed abilities, or if you can get far enough behind allied lines). A lot of the time it’s just a slight delay on how long it takes to die and then respawn.
It’s also a second full cleanse when the duration ends.
Another awesome video from the master of the clunge.
Single target skills prioritize the attacker’s target, so this wouldn’t work unfortunately.
