Engineer and the Future

I main an engineer, and I do in fact, roll a turret/ pistol/ shield build, mainly for WvW skirmishes. I almost never lose a 1v1, and I very rarely lose a 2v1. We engineers are very effective, mainly at knock- downs. I use rocket and thumper turrets to ensure the most amount of knock- down, and to catch runaways, I use the shield stun. I personally think that we just need to get bug fixes, no damage or skill over hauls.

Interesting. Do you also play PVE? Cause I love CC. I once run a Rifle/Net build. Focused on the Immoblizes.. which was pretty fun also. (NET NET NET)

Then if you would get the traits which also give the person cripple it was fun fun fun xD.

But I am wondering if your build would also work in PVE, dungeons for example.

Just a post which I am wondering, what is the future of the engineer.

First of all, dont take it wrong. Love the class and the many change it gives us. I have used different sorts of builds and love them. But it seems that the Engineer somewhere lacks damage (only if you have grenades don’t talk about the grenades :P)

I am right now using a 30/0/30/0/10 build. Which was fun tbh… giving so much combo fields and stacking vulnerability.. but I don’t like the fact that most engineers only use grenades. Mainly because our turrets are most of the time destroyed.

I want to use a Pistol/Shield/Turret build. But can’t really find one…

Anyways my real question is, do you think the engineer need some sort of overhaul or are they fine right now? I certainly like my engineer from the beginning I start playing him.

Would love to hear some sort of answer from Anet’s side also on what their look is right now on Engineer (and other classes if we are talking about it)

But mainly how are my fellow engineers thinking about their engineer and what kind of build do you use? I cant really focus on one build atm xD.

What does a new tier of gear have to do with having something to do? Do you mean to say that you can’t craft, PvP, PvE, or Explore without the reward of progressively better gear at max level?

No, but people need to get some sort of a goal.

For example I have many goals I have put myself, making Mystic Forge weapons instead of Legendary. Or making a legendary en get my characters all on the armor I want for them.

Some people have to hold a hand to know where they have to go.
WoW for example has goals. Goals where all people go for.

Guild Wars 2, puts you, a measly human, charr, norn, asura or sylvari in a wide world. And says, go and play. They say nothing about.

Before you can do this dungeon, you have to do this one. And after that, you have to dungeon X, But before you can dungeon X you have to level again in Area V…

Here it is, you can do whatever you want..

Now they have put one dungeon in it where you have to do something (sort of a must if you wanna do that specific dungeon), and go for it. You get a goal.

I see and I do respect what people think about the future, but I am not afraid yet. I wait till this patch comes out and see what it will do with the whole game. Maybe we are laying eggs for nothing.

Isn’t the goal to complete the content though? The reward for completing is then a unique skin and/or title/achievement that is only attainable by those who complete said content.

If people aren’t interested in completing content without the reward being progressively strong loot; then the fact is they’re not interested in the content at all, but merely interested in the loot.

Yeah that’s the name for it. You actually clear the content for it.

And yeah, there are people who don’t care about the loot. I also don’t care about the loot. I care about how it looks. I am really looking to get that shadow shield for my Engineer. (Grinning Shield).

But I have to farm some then !.

The thing you’re failing to realize is for every person who hates this, there’s a person who loves it.

I do believe this thread is a clear indication that the numbers tip towards the “we hate this” demographic.

I’m just going to repost this because.. it still holds true 5000+ posts in.

“If you look there are A LOT of repeat posters arguing with eachother, and I’d like to just point out that the complaining usually drowns out the compliments only because the complainers feel compelled to come on to the forums and whine, while the majority of the happy players are more then likely playing the game.”

My thoughts on this topic: there is already a “treadmill” in place you start off with white quality gear and end up (at 80) still getting white level gear aswell as blue yellow and finally orange and purple (or blue… w/e legendary is). If they intended for zero gear progression they would have either;

A.) Made white quality gear “max” and then you would only have to look for gear you like the looks of. (rather boring in my opinion)
B.) Have each “tier” of gear level specific i.e. white is 1-19 blue is 20-39 yellow is 40-59 and then exotic’s/legendary and w/e else would be 60-80 or what have you. Also make each “tier” only drop from those level zones or creatures or whatever…

The system that is in place now is, I repeat IS a gear treadmill of sorts, smoothly pulled off so it doesn’t really feel like one but it is. You don’t start off with max armor and thus have to gear yourself up. Sure it doesn’t take long and sure once you’ve maxed your gears you only need to upgrade looks (well until this patch hits…).

I honestly don’t mind a bit of “gear progression” and as they stated IT WILL GIVE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE COMPLAINING THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO, SOMETHING TO DO!

This is pretty much truth indeed. If you agree this just quote it a few times so people can actually read it.

And about the fact the most people claim they win their fights.

I don’t. I was giving an example with my Mesmer..

But still I have fun, and having new gear to look forward though, me likes.

You want to craft? Go craft.
You want to PVP? Go PVP

A 8% stat increase in WvWvW, is laughable. I was playing WvWvW with my level 10 Mesmer and still won most fights :o. More with tactical thoughts over, pure stats tbh.

If the person was close to as good as you, you would have lost. 8% is a fairly significant difference in stats.

True, I admit that is true. But that is an if.

Even then, how many of the times are you ALONE in WvWvW. Most of the time you are walking with friend, guildmates or a zerg in WvWvW. Walking in WvWvW alone isn’t really smart tbh, as the only thing you can do when right specced, is to solo a Supply camp or Control Points.
Even then, you are mostly with more people around you, so still the whole 8% doesn’t mean anything.

People who played WvWvW when they where level 50 with Blue’s aren’t complaining either whey they had to play with the level 80’ties?

I still don’t see the complaint about just a bit of gear coming up.

Nobody is talking about the new enemies, the story. Events, new crafting stuff, new PvP map.

I mean, there is so much new to do, and you have to be nitpicky about a new item level hmmm?

As we read the blog we read that:
Ascended Rings are dropped in the Dungeon.
Ascended Backpieces are made through Recipes in the Mystic Forge.

So when you want a Ring. You go to the dungeon to get a ring.
When you want a Backpiece, you will want to farm mats for the Mystic Forge.

And IF, the armor and weapons of Ascended tier also need different things, like: Tokens from WvWvW.
Crafting
Other dungeons, through gifts.

ETC. Then everyone is happy. As far as I see, I think they are planning to give every type of player the chance to get some sort of ascended gear, if not all of it trough different means.

And each certain set has a different sort of look for example?

I already said what I was going to say about this move, now I’m just gonna sit back and wait.

I think the most people who like this sort of change are still playing and aren’t paying attention to the rage on the forum.

My guild for example had no idea what was going on. Then I said what was happening and they reacted like.. mmkay cool. And that is only my guild who is mainly casual.

I really want to ask al the hater this: What where you doing at endgame, and how do you feel you get lied to?

There is really no difference with walking a dungeon for a certain gift or token. In this case we don’t even know how the dungeon will roll and how much the rings will drop. Maybe you get them after one run in the dungeon which is really easy. And maybe it is really difficult at some point.

TBH, I am psyched up for this kind of stuff. I played WoW, stopped, because one: The Subscription. Second: The Community. Third: The Lore wasn’t interesting enough for me. The story ended for me with the Lich King. After that, I didn’t really feel it at all.

Guild Wars Lore, is fantastic. I really love the story and can’t wait how it unfolds further. And to be honest, if people are really leaving because of this? Then the better tbh, you would only hate more when other things come :p.

If you will enjoy other games more, you are free to. Nobody is forcing you to go to that dungeon. GW2 is still about skill. When I PvP with my alts and I just use random build, I somehow always stand first or second? That’s more about skill tbh.

As the previous one was deleted due using ANET in the title. I made a new one without ANET in the title.

ANET if it is possible, please, come with another blog about Ascended Armor to let all the people know what your plans are for the future.

  • Do we get more Item types in the future?
  • What the stat increase will mean for people playing for example, WvWvW. Will the rings and armor also be able to get in the dungeons rights now? In some sort of way? Or will you be able to buy them with tokens?
  • How will Infusions work, will it give stats like sigils? Or will it just give plain buffs for certain type of monsters?
  • Will runes still be able to put in Ascended Armor?

These questions are mainly ask by the majority of this forum right now. I think. If people want more questions in it. I will put them in the OP. And hopefully we can end this divided playerbase. I hope this will be the start of a more mature way of handling the explosing that is happening on the internet now.

I see much hate in this thread.

While I get some of you, I still don’t get what the fuss is about.

So we have a divided player base where some of the players like this change or are neutral about it.

Then we have the people who hate the change incoming and are bringing it up on the forums.

I say, good job. You let yourself hear to Anet. And with that, it maybe will have some influence on it.

But lets give you guys my thoughts, first and foremost. This is all my own thoughts, I am not attacking anyone. And I do respect everyone’s opinion.

Second, this is an appeal to Arenanet and NCsoft.

Please give a better clarification between now and few days before the patch. Right now, it’s getting out of hand is seems. It’s better too go straight to the point then let a discussion go out of hand.

Third.

Tyrians. Players. And betweeners.

We all have seen the incoming changes which will occur next weekend. Many of you are hating on it. Mainly because people are afraid of the future.
I know what you mean, what do I think of it? I don’t really mind the new dungeon. I welcome it. Am I an elitist hardcore raider who will pronk with is higher level gear? Hardly.

I just love new content. Guild Wars 2 is new and fresh. And brought me a nice experience. And still gives me one, even when they go to the whole ‘grind’ fest route of gear. I believe, that is not he point. I am on the wagon of, wait and see. Plus I have more things to do…

Guild Wars 2 is exploring. Is enjoyable with more people. You don’t have the whole, competition in each server to get a certain gathering node. You work togheter on every quest, etc etc.

The gear about cosmetics. And even with the new type of armor. It is about cosmetics.

You still can use your hardly gained exotic armor which you like from the looks on your ascended gear in the future. This ascended gear, which we only know some things of, has increased stats. I will be honest with you guys, yes even when I don’t care about the little stat increase. I still think they could have done it without it.

They could have mad it Ascended and made it so that it was the only thing infusable. Or make every gear now infusable which you have now and make Ascended gear the better one.

But I think it will be something on those lines tbh.
When you looked at the two pics, you see the Ascended Ring and the Exotic one.

The Ascended Ring also states: Unique.

What does it mean? Unique means, that it is only one time possible. So are those stats only one time? Or is the infuse only a one time increase and it can’t stack? What does the Unique mean? as far as I know I haven’t seen this kind of discription on any other armor in game. So it does mean something.

Still I know what you guys are scared off. But still, even when they are going this way. I keep loving the game. Even when I don’t like certain steps they take. I bought a game for 50 bucks and I get free content. When I don’t like it anymore, I just quit and come back in a few months again.

I loved the whole Halloween event. And I am waiting for the Lost Shores and Wintersday event.

Still I do hope that somehow that we can get some answers of Arenanet. Will it break it’s philosophy or is this really the last itemtype incoming? (TBH, something I saw coming already).

Plus people are also saying, I don’t want to level anymore.

You say what? Leveling is the most cool thing in GW2 I did tbh. I would love to level 20 levels again in new area’s.

Anyways, I hope ANET knows what it is doing. They aren’t losing me yet. I am waiting for the new cosmetics who are incoming. And more of the content incoming.

Anyways, I hope people can relax and just read my post and answer it. I do wanna know what you think what I just said?

Yeah, there is already a topic about it. But it seems that in that giant topic of mainly rage. People who are trying to bring up another opinion aren’t listened too. So I try to make a new topic with a milder version about my thoughts and hope it gets some attention.

So we heard there is coming a new type of armor which will be stronger then Excotic.

Pro

*People looking for an average-Like experience on endgame, have something now.

Cons

  • People feel like getting lied too, they think that they also have to need the gear to get stronger and be on par with the rest of the world.

Ignore the Pro.

Lets take a look at that Con..

Why are people already thinking, without knowing more about it, that it makes your time and money awfull?
It seems, how I make it from the text, that the armor is need to tackle the dungeon. Which gives an Average PVEMMO-Like experience.

If it’s going to be stronger gear that also can be used in WvWvW. Then, yes I do know why your hating on it. But it depends on how great the difference in stats are. If it’s only 2 or 3. That’s something to ignore, in my opinion. But I also say to ANET: Think before you do it, make it so that people who are doing WvWvW or sPVP are not getting pushed to do something: The whole thing of YOU HAVE TO DO IT, became really hatefull in WoW and SWTOR for me. It’s the reason why I quit the whole game.

But maybe we can also expect to have Ascended Armor in the dungeons right now, with some sort of extra token farming, and trading your already gotten gear for it to get a discount. (This would make the whole issues much better, if people would hate on it.)

For the people who say but all my time for my looks is gone :<.

You have transmution stones which you still can get your gear looks with.

Crafting and Ascended Armor.

It shouldn’t be stupid to think it. But really, ANET, if you really wanna go through with this, we also need it to be craftable. Make it so that Ascended Armor is something like a Legendary (which is a grind atm).

I am curious what the update will bring. I am one of the people who thinks, let’s see first. GW2 is a game, when you don’t like what happens, you can just quit and see if an update in the future makes it better.

I can’t tell right now what the update will bring to us. I do like the whole, new enemies thing. All with all, I am waiting for the update and do hope that Anet knows what is doing.

I am in the grey zone right now, I am not really like, WOW NICE UPDATE. But also not like most on this forum: BOOHOOO

Please increase fear duration for Necromancers

The Thief steal skill is his ‘special’ which should be pretty strong.

The Necro is alright. I was playing in a Power, Tanky build and kitten most people with out using fear. I only used fear to stop someone in his tracks while my minions did the rest ^^. Next build will be a specral based build.

ArenaNet did not break away from the "kill 10 rats" quest structure.

I believe they never intented to change the structure.

They gave us many ways of leveling. You can PvP in your personal story, explore, craft and quest.

MMORPG’s are in the end RPG’s. And in most RPG you level through killing stuff.

But what makes GW2 more enjoyable as a MMO then for example SWTOR or WoW.

When you have to do a quest in latter games, you don’t have a choice how to do it. You MUST do it. Kill 10 spiders, kill 10 sith, dance with a hutt. There isn’t the choice of destroy supplies etc etc.

People are nitpicking about the little things. There isn’t really an other way of leveling then how the average MMO did it.

Plus, you don’t have to fight in every heartevent, you can also run around until you find dynamic events and do the hearts while you do the dynamic.

I see what you are pointing at. But I believe they never actually stated, we are removing the kill 10 rats way of quests. They changed it, many people say they changed the whole MMO’s. NO, they haven’t changed it. They have used a base of an idea. And build their own building on it. They build further on it. They made the usage of the quests better and took one step forward.

I hope that this formula will stay and that other company’s take over Anet’s way of MMO’s

I only will run Arah for the achievement. And maybe for some weapons. My Engineer doesn’t like the gear. I probably go for the HotW or the SE medium gear. Don’t know yet v.v. I am still thinking what I want ;-;

The launch of the new WoW expansion could also have some telling in it.

TBH, I can see what the OP thinks, but to give him right? There are many games coming out these days, Borderlands 2, WoW MoP. Those are games which also take some time. The big difference with GW2 and SWTOR was that GW2 is free. Which makes people leaving it easier behind then for example a game where you pay for.

My guild also has lesser people active then at launch cause some of them started playing BL2. If GW2 came out after BL2 or MoP they would have played GW2.

I am enjoying GW2 day after day I am logging in. I want to know more about the story, the lore etc etc.

The main issues the game has is that most endgame content is or unplayable due bugs. Or has ben Farmed like hell and people don’t feel liking farming anymore.

GW2 is a game you pay for once and can leave behind when you find something else to play. Same for me, when Pokemon Black and White 2 comes out you will find me on my DS then on the PC.

I also started LoL up again. Just do have to do something different. GW2 is a wonderfull game. It has many flaws, but I still like it and like the leveling part. I love to see the slow changes they make in the game. Yes, I can only say good game.

And to get back ontopic.

OP, don’t be afraid. The people who are quiting know are mostly people who are the rotten fruits in a basket. It’s better they get purged now, while new players are slowly entering. For example I still get order of GW2 in my game store ^^. People I sold the game too, are still playing it and telling me. Awesome game.

Hey all you guys!

Thank you for reading the story I am about to tell. As you have seen and felt or heared. There are many bugs in the game. Skillpoints, dungeons, exploits. You name them.

It’s not fun when it happends.. and well, Anet is really working on it. I am asking myself though, why does it seem that everytime a bug is fixed new ones come out. Like an epicdemic spreading out towards a whole nation. It’s like the Black Death of GW2.

I am not blaming Anet for this to be honest. Yeah, they could have looked for them early times. But well, I have the feeling that when we had BWE’s there where never so many bugs as of now.

Programming is not easy and many people who are studying it should know it. But don’t go hating on a company for it. I see many people hate on it. I do give you the rights for it, other said, I get why you do it. But raging on it isn’t going to change anything about it.

The best thing you can do is help them find the bugs, what is happening. When does it happen?

Then again, this game isn’t that old yet. When other MMO’s came out there where bugs. I can even remember more issues than in GW2 in comparison with others. SWTOR for example had some pretty bad issues (ILUMCOUGH).

WoW when launched was one big bugfest. Nobody cared then.

Before you come with the statement. WoW came out in a different year. Yes you are correct. Does that mean that future MMO’s shouldn’t have any bugs at release or any troubles? No. There are different engines now, which give other codes (hit me if I am wrong). Which make some bugs new and some old ones.

Tho, I would love to hear what Anet thinks of this. Why does it seem that this build of the game when launched had so many bugs and when we played BWE we had lesser ones?

I have no idea what your past is with MMO’s but, you have to see dungeons as endgame content which should take long etc.

True, I have to say, there should be some sort of way to ignore SOME packs. But to skip 30 minutes of content is just way to much imo. Or other said, just make the speedruns so that they aren’t worthwile anymore.

Let me ask you. Why do most people actually clear groups without this ‘trinity’ of yours.

Stop putting everything on power. And get a bit of Toughness or Vitality. You will live longer.

Heck there are trinity’s… they are just.. well.. softer. There is no aggro. So there is no tank. You have controllers, who semi-buff people. And just controll the whole fight.. like you know, reflective walls, nets, knockbacks, cripples?

You have DPS, well they DPS and inflict conditions.. like poison (which makes heals less effective.) Chills, (which slows and makes abilities less responsive).

Supporters, which.. well semi-control the fight. And mainly get conditions off people and give them boons back. Just saying.

AC Story was easy. Very easy… I don’t see how people can have trouble with it.

The twins —> Rocks. They are twins like scissors.. you use rocks. Don’t be paper.

Hunter thing… rocks… plus.. wait he doesn’t even do damage.. oh wait he shoots things.. err reflective walls? Reflection? Kill adds? dunno…

And forgot the other bosses… the only one who maybe needs his damaged a bit lowered is the king cause his damage was pretty hurtfull.. but well.. you can cripple him and just LoS him and kite him… dunno… maybe I am just saying stupid stuff that doesn’t make sense.

For everyone who is trying to get in a dungeon.

The dungeons are right now not working properley. Somehow there is a bug which holds you out of the dungeon. You can’t enter when in a party.

Dungeons aren’t working at the moment. Arenanet still has to give an answer on this issue.

You can post all your problems with entering dungeons here in this post. What time you tried to enter but you couldn’t.

Mine started around 22:45 when I tried to enter the Honor of the Waves.

Most people work on power builds. (I have to admit so do I). But I am still looking on my Engineer to change to a build where I have many supportive stats. I probably going to a tanky Engineer with a shield. Which gives me a block and reflection.

I use every trait tree at the moment and see what do I like and what do I not like.

Anyways, dungeons are doable, yes it’s hard without coordination. But when I did AC with my guild we went trough it pretty easy. Ok, we died a few times cause people didn’t focus when I asked to, but hey. They did an EXP for the first time and they where like.. holy kitten. They now also get what it takes to do more :p.

And, forgot the name of the buff bosses have. You have a certain attack, which makes them immune for knockback and such and after a few stacks they get vurnerable for it. If you coordinate it well enough. You can really get some nice things of it ;p.

Plus, you can also LoS pull mobs. Which make some packs really easy

Hey all people reading this.

It seems that many people are finding ways to run past mobs and make some dungeons last way shorter then intended. I saw a topic about CoF run being an exploit. But then I saw the Arah Shard run (and did it one time myself) And I saw that was pretty much quickly done.

Is it an exploit? No, it doesn’t seems to me that is an exploit.
Do I find it lame? Yes I do.

I find it that when everytime I find a speedrun and the way to do it. Players who don’t like it should report it right away so it is impossible to do it further.

You can’t blame a playerbase for using shortcuts. It is just written in our behaviour to do things quickly when you have to do it.

People, like me. Who like to stop this nonsense is easy to just report this on the offical forums.
But what can you do about it? Just make invincible walls? No, I would say just make it so that dungeon bosses who give chests and loot give no more loot after xx amount of times to kill them (like the way bonus exp works).

For example there are people who run Arah shard runs in 10 minutes. They work to the second boss (after jumping on the tree etc). Then they leave, reset. Rinse, repeat.

If you make it so that when they kill the same boss for example in 1 or 2 hours. They get no shards/tears w/e from it. The whole shard runs will stop. People will have to change explorable paths.

Plus I would love to see some sort of bonus when you complete 3 paths in a day or week or in a certain time. Maybe even after eacht time you complete all the paths you can start again (like how dailies work) and when you complete all paths you gain bonus shards, tears etc. Like +50 or more!

Do I make friends with this post? Probably not. These days players are mainly lazy. I am also a lazy gamer. I don’t find it fun to do hard games solo anymore. When I play a game I would love to play it on easy mode and just be done with it.

GW2 or any MMO is different. I love to game with friends, then it doesn’t matter if a game is hard or not. When you can go for a certain goal togheter it is fun, no matter how hard. You can try to get that goal. Hopefully more people will get this in mind

I suppose you don’t read what bosses or mobs can do?

When I fight a Mob I always look under their healthbar what kind of abilities they have.

Then when I am used to fight them and see their patterns I think of tactics you can do to win. Most people here come from games where they have so many helpfull tools to get their role. Like the add-on which name I forgot where you can see when a certain boss is using a certain ability.

Anyways, you have to stop thinking how previous games work. Cause this game and other mmo’s are a whole other experience. Yes, dungeons are hard. Cause they feel new.

If you read your skills good enough you can actually do many things. For example, a boss who uses many projectiles. Use reflection shields and walls.

A boss who does insane damage, use crippel or immobillize attacks.

A boss who uses a pull mechanic. Watch his way of moving and dodge it or just LoS.

People mostly zerg into bosses and corpse camp them. While most of the time there are mechanics to it. Is this game 100% flawless. No, not by a longshot. But are there problems with the dungeons? No, to be honest.

I find them fairly easy as of now. Haven’t really got a boss fight yet where I said. Godkitten you are hard. I would love to see more different abilities on bosses thats true, but maybe people should stop wanting to make games easier. I hope they make them harder so it is actually an acomplishment when you finish them.

There are many things to work on that’s true. But these dungeons are fun already. The main problem was the reward after completing dungeons. But they are fixing it. As of tommorow I am going to start working on my dungeon set <3. Hopefully with people who also do different routes

2. Seems that the end of the PS still gives loot you can better sell then use.

So what can ANet do about it?

2. Give a random generic Weapon/Armor exotic piece in Arah style for clearing your Personal Story. Only level 78+ items aren’t worth it.

UNLESS, you get at least some level 78 gear and one exotic would make this much more worthwile.

To be honest, I don’t see why you don’t just add an exotic or rare weapon in it.

The whole fight vs Zaithan was bugged. (I hope it was a bug cause, kitten, this was a let down fight). Or I hope he comes back.

I don’t finish my last quest yet, just after this update. But, I have to say. You guys made a wonderfull game. But are sloppy with some things.

You know, people can clear dungeons easily with corpserunning. But bosses actually have mechanics – SHOCK -

For example the route 2 of AC. The whole chain trap thing.

First it wasy really hard for our group, then I was like kitten this kitten. I will tank them like a boss. So I want in the spikes and waited untill they game… I was scared.

When they finally came storming to me and my 2 friends who stayed with me to our upcoming doom. We started fighting… and were amazed. THe people who used the traps where doing it right. The monsters stayed on those traps, died so quickly. Then after that the champion came. Who died also quickly.

A boss where we wiped 5 times, finally died after 30 seconds.

It’s just the whole, how do you fight it? Corpserunning makes it expensive. Thinking about it makes it fun.

Sorrows Embrace, that golem with his conditions damage heal thing.

He shoots poison bolts. YOU HAVE reflection walls and dooms.

Are you getting the picture? You have so many different ways to attack a boss, but people should read what a boss can do. Do they shoot projectiles, then just use your reflection ability. It makes things so much easier than just kite and corpse run.

Complete dungeon too fast and get punished...Lol

They are working on it. And what you say just states you are a lazy gamer. Why? You don’t want to work for your gear. You want to have everything in a week. Then complain, there is nothing to do.

They are working on the reward system. And hopefully they are making it more difficult also. So you really have to work for it.

They are working on the whole dungeons and bosses. So have patience. Level an alt, cause leveling is PERFECT here.

The whole point of those dungeons was to give people something to do. Something to work for.

If you want your easy excotics then you are welcome to do that. You can craft or buy them from different vendors.

If you have to take time for it, then you should play dungeons. People walking around in CoF gear pre-buff. Shouldn’t be proud wearing it. They didn’t do anything for it, they where lazy.

Yes, they should change some things in the rewards system. Or making it a less sinkhole of money. Cause the skillcap is a little bit to high right now.

For example you can also give people a nice bonus reward when they clear 3 explorisation routes. On one day in 1 dungeon.

Bonus Tokens

1 to 2 gold bonus for everyone.
And a small, really small chance to get a Dungeon Armor token which can be replaced for an armorpiece right away.

This would make dungeons more motivating.

For the record, OP gives some nice changes. And I am glad Anet listens to the community who actually wanna work for something

You want everything to be a grindfest? CoF making difficult was the best choice they did. People who walked around with that CoF armor don’t have anything to be proud of. They just farmed it and completed their set in maybe a week or less. Which is NOT the whole point of those dungeons.

Anyways, I have to say, yes, they have to change some mechanics in dungeons. More the Reward system.

Better token rewards and maybe a special reward with a bonus when you clear all 3 paths on a day.

Dear Tyrian Heroes, WVWVW players and others.

I am from Far Shiverpeaks. We are fighting mostly Vizunah Square and Desolation. Which is awesome, both servers are pretty awesome to fight against and I salute them.

Though if you look at our scores you see that Vizunah Square just destroys us. Is this because they use better tactics? Have they better players?

No at both. Yes, they are good. Yes they own us. But not because they are better then us. The reason why they are winning against us is mainly cause of the fact they have Canadians on their server. Yes Canadians. Those are people from another timezone.

I don’t mind having people that on a server, but the issue here is, that when we (Far Shiverpeaks) or Desolation are capping points. VS can just take them away at night when the Canadians are on their prime time of playing. Tbh I feel this is a sort of issue that makes WvWvW less fun.

I don’t mind losing from them, cause we are actually at the same level when we are fighting at day time (I mean having always more capture points at day time).

Problem is that they have free capping at night which seems to destroy our battles.

So I have an idea. I know that Anet told us that they don’t want them to block people to play at night. I give them right to that.

But maybe we can do something else, like an aura of the Moon. Which starts around 0:00 till like 7:00 – 8:00. Which makes capping harder, more difficult and gives people a debuff so capping goes slower.

People can still play, it just takes longer to cap something.

Other thing is to change the point system to a longer radius when it is night. I believe matchmaking is getting more honestly and people feel like they still have a chance to hold a capture point while sleeping.

I dunno if I am making a drama here. TBH, I dont play WvWvW that often enjoy it everytime when I am defending en attacking things. But I would love to see something changing about people from other timezones joining a server so they can easily win WvWvW :p.

I only have an idea of the races for now and some Dragons they come with. Some names I do not know so I will put the elements of them instead n.n!

They are put in random order:

Primordus

Playable race coming with it: Tengu or Stone Dwarves

First the Tengu. There city is sealed of for now, but a Tengu in Brisban Wildlands, hit me if I am wrong, tells about destroyers are behind the walls of Dominion of Winds. Destroyers are the minions of Primordus, this could be taken as a Hint. Plus the fact Cantha the place where tengu where from if I reca. Was sealed because of Zaithan, believes me to think that the next Dragon expansio n will be Primordus and the Tengu.

Now to the Stone Dwarves.

Stone Dwarves sacrificed themselves when Primordus awakened to stop him for destroying Tyria. Their story could link towards his destruction in the end, tho I think they will keep them as the last playable race with the last Dragon that will be defeated by us. That last dragon will be mentioned later.

Jormag

No contest. Kodan. Kodan. Bear people. They where defeated by Jormag well they were cast away like the Norn. They have a floating City. They will be playable with Jormag. Which could be the next drago n to be defeated after Zaithan.

Bubbles Dragon in the Deep

Qugans? Hylek? NO! Largoss I say. The way they made their model is perfect. They can wear armor cause they are mainly humanoid.. They have a sort of city or organisation called something forgot name v.v… I see them join when we have to go i n to the oceans!

Kalkratoric… earth thing

The last dragon to be defeated imo. The one who tore apart Destiny’s Edge. The one who destroyed his luitenant.. the one the Stone Dwarves who started fighting the first awakened one. And who will help destroy the last living one.

I have no idea if there was one more dragon. Havent looked him or her up. So cant tell anything about it.

I am curious how u guys think of it. Did I make mistakes? If so tell them I am pretty new too the lore

I was looking at mobs under turrets, but the quest says you completed it. So that means the undead are dead. It just doesnt get the signal to complete the quest :<
