“King of any fight where everything is closely packed together”
I think it goes like this:
WvW – Staff Ele’s
PvE – GS Warriors
Support Full Life force when we get out of combat and in spvp. I don’t see how it would be OP.
We can level from 1-80 naked just by using minions I hear.
Prevent knocked back, knocked down, launched, slowed or stunned while in Death Shroud.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_historical_traits#Necromancer_traits
Dagger 3 skill to 15 or 20 second base due to obvious animation, cast time and so professions can’t escape us that easily.
Warhorn 4 skill to 20-25 second base due to cast time and only 2 second daze or better yet make it a 2-3 second stun? Warhorn 5 maybe 25 second base…
Would this be reasonable?
Is it worth re-rolling from a Human to Norn Necromancer just for Snow Leopard form stealth when wanting to be able to solo roam more?
I’m just wondering which is better
Both :P
:(
I’m just wondering which is better
Oh whoops sorry I made a mistake lol.
Feline Grave: Dodging returns some of the endurance used
vs.
Vigorous Recovery: Gain vigor when using a healing skill.
Sorry about the mistake
Using Withdraw or Signet of Malice for healing utility slot which is better? (Can’t have both Feline Grace and Vigorous Recovery)

I’m a 0/20/30/20/0 Glass Cannon D/P & SB Thief. I really have trouble against good P/S Engineers in a 1v1 Duel. This engineer I faced out-healed my damage and My self healing wasn’t doing great against his conditions (Bleed, Burning, Confusion) and everytime I went stealth he knew when to use grenades on his area which made it very hard to land a backstab.
Should I treat P/S Engineers like Bunker Guardians and just avoid them or am I doing something wrong?
So just wondering how good is sword offhand for WvW roaming compared to Focus?
Darn. I guess I’ll roll a Guardian then.
Thanks guys
Specifically Greatsword and Rifle Warriors? I like to have the option of melee’ing and ranging…
So ya, how are Greatsword/Rifle Warriors in 1v1 and Roaming?
Will it be OP if Staff removes vulnerability proc? If not… can devs please remove it? Don’t know why we have it on staff since we have vulnerability on sword auto attack.
How are Mesmer self healing compared to other professions? How would you rank Mesmer self healing?
Thank you, really appreciate it.
I’m usually the type of person who prefers to play “Dark Magic” themed class such as Warlocks and Deathknights in World of Warcraft, even though those 2 classes had their flaws it was still very enjoyable. I’ve put so many hours Dungeoning for token gear, gold for gear in the AH, laurels for exotic gear to test out different builds for my Necromancer… and I sort of regret it.
I leveled a Thief, Mesmer and Elementalist for WvW in the past few months and I’ve honestly enjoyed each one of them much more than my Necromancer. Atm, all my Necromancer is doing is taking up a character slot. :\

So just wondering what are some of the most recommended Sigils and Runes for P/D Thieves? What should I put on my armour and weapons?
So do any other mesmers have trouble chasing opponents without swiftness?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/thief-nerf-required-in-www/first
It’s like a 500+ Page of people arguing if we should get nerfed or not in WvW. I have a really bad feeling that we’re gonna get smacked in the face with something huge this month
I’ve been invited by other players after being able to defeat them to their parties to chat with them before and it mostly wasn’t good. First time I accepted an invite after I killed a player he said “kitten you” then left the group. Other times most players act all condescending to me which I just find weird, funny and uncomfortable…
Earlier today I downed a thief, he kept spamming invite and I just declined multiple times, was I being rude?
So just wondering if I should or should not accept invites from enemy players after beating them, or is it rude not to accept invites from other players you’ve defeated in WvW?
Today earlier a thief used Stealth Trap on me near ruins, he tried to chase me down and kill me but I managed to get away from him. He then used /laugh emote at me, which I found pretty weird. Respect is a hard thing to come by in WvW, I see lots of people emoting /laugh after they 10v1 an opponent.
Most people just want to kill stuff.
Mesmer in spvp is a joke.
Is that it though? Thieves aren’t that great in Dungeons and Fractals.
The real golden child of Guild Wars 2 are Mesmers right? Mesmers excel at nearly everything in this game (Dungeons, WvW, SPvP, Fractals, etc…)
So I’ve been reading people here saying that people won’t use a stealth trap on thieves for 1v1. But less than 15 minutes ago I was outside Briar tower, a warrior laughed at me so I went and killed him. He was revived and then he just kept beckoning and laughing at me so I went to kill him again and I did not expect a stealth trap! Luckily I was able to get away with Shadowstep and Heartseeker spam. I know I should’ve expected it, but man it really scared the heck out me haha.
:o
I don’t see how Necromancers can accomplish the same thing as those Ele’s in that video, especially with the nerf to epidemic.
I just had an Off-day yesterday, I died like 10 times in 2 hours I believe, and no matter what I did I couldn’t get a kill. So what do you guys usually do when you have an off day in wvw? Do you keep playing or call it quits and cool your heads down?
How often do you use Shadow Strike in WvW roaming 1v1 or 1vx? I tend to forget about Shadow Strike and… the number 2 ability. I just mostly CnD > sneak attack > auto attack and wait ’till revealed debuff is gone then start all over again.
I’ve tried using Shadow Strike before but I noticed that I kept missing a lot…
Vigorous Recovery: Grants 8-9 vigor upon using your healing skill
Fleet Shadow: 50% Movement increase, while in stealth you move 33% faster out of combat and the 50% movement increase to stealth while in combat is very nice as well.
Which is better for wvw roaming?
Which is the better “Oh kitten!” button for roaming in WvW?
Blinding Powder is only a 3 second (4 traited) stealth and blinds nearby opponents and you can move around I guess. While Shadow Refuge is at least 15 Second Stealth and it heals you but you have to pray that your opponents don’t have an ability that knocks you out of that area and most opponents will swing their weapons and aoe your shadow refuge…

I’ve been wondering lately if Signet of Shadows is really worth a utility slot in wvw roaming?
Are we really the most hated profession?
Over the last few weeks of roaming on my thief in WvW, I noticed a lot more disrespect… For example, Was beaten by a Bunker Hammer & Sword/Shield Warrior, when I was downed he invited me to his group and typed in caps “SEE YA LATER KID!”. Later on today a Thief from my server got downed and the enemy just kept spamming “/laugh” emote over and over again…
When I was a Necromancer, no matter how many times I was downed by an enemy when roaming I never got treated like this. O_O
So just wondering what are the priorities in WvW? Which map is more important? I saw someone in chat say it was Own Borderland >= EB > Enemy Borderlands, is this true?
Or does the big guilds determine what the priorities are?
Just wondering if ANET is going to nerf D/P near perma stealth via Blackpower +Heartseeker combo? Just doesn’t make sense if they do because hasn’t this been around since the start of the game? Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like it’s only been lately that people found out about it and started complaining about it…
But if D/P near perma stealth did get nerfed, how would you adapt?
With the recent catapult fix, how about also not letting arrow carts work at gate and not letting players hit through and aoe through the gate? Jeez, can’t even repair when there’s a zerg just cleaving through the door.
Just wondering as to why people keep putting arrow carts or catapults behind the door and not on the wall?
Mostly talking about stealth and shadow abilities like shadow return… Does GW2 thieves learn some shadow magic or something? Just bored and wondering…
So basically Warlocks in World of Warcraft have a trait or something in their tree that punishes other players for cleansing their conditions, so why not give it to Necromancers and Necromancers only? Something to stand out. Something bad will happen to other professions if any of our condition is cleansed.
I don’t think you can. Not even World of Warcraft has this even though it’s been around for a long time. It sucks but not much you can do, my suggestion is to lead your own parties and have YOURSELF start the dungeon. So if they kick you, then they all get kicked.
Caster or Hard hitting melee… Sounds like Mesmer since they’re a bit of both :p
Which profession is better at roaming solo 1v1?
I’m a Necromancer… and I suggest you go Elementalists or Mesmer. Mesmer atm are basically the number 1 profession atm imho. Wanted in Fractals, Dungeons, Good at 1v1, good at roaming in wvw, and has so much more support in zerg wvw.
Hmm… Darn. I guess I’ll still try it, I’m enjoying it a lot atm :p
Thank you though
Hmm otayz thank you
I mostly plan on doing Dungeons and Roaming in WvW. I wish for a profession that can Range, stack condition damage, and at the same time be able to get in an opponents face for some melee damage. Any profession like this?
Atm… To me, 1g for 34 gems is not worth it.
I like to be a Hybrid, I want to be able to wear my opponents down from afar with bleeds and I also want to be able to get in my opponents face at the same time. So any advice for a Pistol/Dagger & Dagger/Pistol Setup? What gear and where should I put my traits?
