I was wondering wth those were when I go up to farm a node and the flash of a character would appear near it and be gone.
I thought this was desync or lag.
I don’t think you’ll make it in the fashion world. I’m a guy, a guy with terrible fashion sense and it looks like kitten to me.
They should offer it in the gem store. That’s right, you paid full price for the game 3 months ago and you should pay more for something that is part of a promo deal.
How bad do you really want it?
It’s a video game.
They have definitely done a lot of things right, yes there are issues but nothing game breaking or that cannot be fixed.
I love the look of the world, it’s full of life and very eye pleasing.
There are so may things I do love about the game and I’m not level 80 yet, have not been in any dungeons or participated in any pvp so the personal story/leveling experience is only a small fraction of the game and it’s got me hooked.
He very quickly became my favorite NPC in the game after the quest to infiltrate the pirate camp. His randomly tossed out pirate slang in the dialog was genius.
RIP ol’ buddy, we could have conquered the world together.
I would like to see this as well. Please make it happen.
It lasts until you use the ability you stole.
It can be very good depending on the ability that is stolen. My personal favorite is the feathers, which stealth you…because thieves need more ways to go stealth. >.>
Here is the wiki page on what you can steal.
I play a thief most of the time (currently level 57) and it’s by far my favorite class. The best thing about it is I can get out of combat at will, which makes snagging those POIs placed in the middle of a mob’s camp very nice.
Welcome to GW and MMOs
Hope you have no personal life, because it will steal your time.
I came to agree about the OPness of Deer but to add that they have nothing on a flock of angry chickens.
I definitely suggest trying all combos out not only to unlock all their skills but to find what works best for your play style.
I tried them all and love D/D & P/P but I do mix in the P/D sometimes but D/D is my one true love.
I like it. Seems the best option for a lazy player such as myself.
I gotta admit, that was entertaining to watch.
I agree.
Along those lines of what you mentioned I am constantly in awe at how beautiful the game is compared to other MMOs (the newer ones even, not just the 8 year old monster). Sometimes I find a vista and just pan around a while checking out the view.
I also love how cities are cities and not a some small area called a city and caves feel like caves.
I am definitely hooked on this game now, after a few months of letting it sit because it wasn’t enough like other MMOs but I found out that it’s much, much better for players like me who love RPGs and open world content.
I understand that there are some issues with the game, but nothing that has impacted my leveling experience and my love of exploration.
Kudos to Anet.
I can tell you from 8 years worth of experience that a PTR does not catch all the bugs, even major ones get through. It is what it is.
Happy, happy, happy.
It’s not going downhill, it’s just lost that new game smell. It’s settling into it’s place and getting comfortable.
Along with the weather, as I level my character(s) I am in awe at the scenery in general. This really is a beautiful game and I think that is what makes me enjoy it most.
Terrible idea. I have played many f2p MMOs and as mentioned on the first page, it will not bring in much revenue because people will play the free content and never spend money. Not to mention bots.
I also like the random things the NPCs say in the Norn areas.
Norn are my favorite no doubt, the other races are…well…not Norn.
Play Borderlands 2.
Do it. You will not regret it.
At first, I dabbled around, trying different classes and races but overall didn’t feel it was going to hold my attention, and it didn’t. I went 2 months of logging in and trying to get some game time in but always felt like I wanted to play a different game so I would just log out. I have leveled many characters to the teens and ended up deleting them and trying something else but just felt kinda “meh” about it.
Last week, I decided I would give it a solid shot with a Norn Warrior and actually started paying attention to my personal story (yes I am/was a “skip to the end” kind of quest reader, I blame WoW) and found myself enjoying it quite a bit. I have leveled him to the 30s and really enjoying his story line to this point and actually listen to the dialog and “cut scenes”.
Did I mention he is a beast? Yeah, big beefy GS wielding monster with an ugly scared up face due to the years of beating up people’s fists with his face in a drunken stupor.
Last night I started a Norn Mesmer (sorry other races, you just fail in comparison to the Norn, nothing personal) and enjoy it quite a bit too, but I don’t want to drift focus from my Warrior just yet because the story is just getting good.
So, thank you Anet for making a game that changed my way of looking at questing/dialog in an MMO. It feels like an actual RPG, which is a good thing after 8 years of dialog skipping.
I’ve tried to play other races but cannot get into any of them. Norn are just epic.
Thinking of making the largest Norn Thief I can make just because I can.
